We went to the rooftop bar, sat at a table - no one attempted service for 15 min. We ended up just getting up and leaving. Tried to have sushi, but they were unaccommodating. There was no downstairs bar open. It must’ve been closed off. Our room was average at best. We ended up going to the Four Seasons. A real disappointment because we were looking forward to it.

- 697mathewl (2/5): SLS Hotel Beverly Hill service has gone downhill in the last couple year - We stayed at SLS every year with my family for the last 10 years... it had always been a pleasant and exceptional experience... However, started from last year 2025 March... Our family drove down from San Diego to LA and staying at SLS. When we arrived and unloading to check in... I told the valet, we wont be parking over night at the hotel and just needed to check in and then I will leave. The Valet was rude and told us that we need to be quick as we could not stop in the hotel while checking in.... I have never been to a hotel with such requirement for checking in guest not able to temporary park for checking in..... Then this year 2026 March... we wanted to give SLS another opportunity to see if the experience from last year was an isolated incident.... This year we have 2 bookings (one from myself and one from my wife) stayed for 2 nights.... Prior to our arrival, we received email from the Guest Relation manager Alex Bastovanov and asked us to complete our a form... However, we mentioned about the past experience, my wife's birthday... We did not get a response from Alex at all about our request... and there was no mention at check in nor any celebration for our stay... No issue with parking this year.... However, at check out this year, our room charges for the 2 nights were incorrect. invoice emailed to us with another guest names (privacy breached).... I called 3 times to try to get this resolved but every time, the rep said (Jenny Oriana and Norita), they will have manager or accounting staff to email or call.... never received and response until the 4th call.....when the email came back for discrepancy... there was no apologies ... just simply, see attached for refund.... and it was incorrect again from the accounting staff Eduardo Lorenzo. it was very disappointing for the experience... not sure what happening in the last couple years as the service has gone downhill tremendously... and how is this considered Luxury collection... when the service level is sub par..,.. and not to mention it is in Beverly Hill.

La colazione è stato il vero problema, quando si viaggia per lavoro si ha bisogno di un servizio veloce ed esaustivo invece non è stato cosi: i tempi di servizio della colazione sono eterni, inoltre non sono dichiarate all'inizio le tasse per il servizio da 12 $/giorno e in più se per caso si sceglie un caffè poco diverso da quello incluso indicato ( un caffe normale rispetto ad un americano) il costo del solo caffè è di 35$! Assurdo!

- CurlyForComfort (10/5): Another perfect staycation at our LA home away from home! - HOW IS IT BETTER EVERY TIME WE COME?! We met at the SLS for the first time and each of us lives only a few miles away. It is our only staycation spot and everyone here has made us feel like families since our very first night in one of the extraordinary suites. Vanessa is as unwaveringly warm and masterful at management as she is unflappable. Everyone at the reception desk seems to love their job. The food served at their lobby lounge restaurant THE NOOK and on The gorgeous rooftop never disappoints. When the vegan menu is in play, we are in heaven! DANE, SHELBY, ANDY and EVERYONE working tge rooftop is exceptional. Everybody greets us like their returning friends. The music pumps up there and your spirit is dancing from the lounge chair. When we want quiet, we close the curtains, kick on our JBL speaker and let our sweet suite do its thing to our spirits. Otherwise, it’s the very groovy fire lounges, and the sexy rooftop. Hospitality is the name of the game here — for us the SLS acronym stands for.Stupidly Luxurious Staycation.

- H9465SNamandaa (8/5): Not 5 star...more like 4 star - It was nice overall. It’s in a convenient location. But the room I was in (365) looked out onto a run down old apartment building so not a nice view. Check-in took a long time. There was only one gal there and she was just waiting there waiting for a guest who was trying to get an answer back from someone else, and didn’t realize there were 3 guests waiting to check in. The rooftop pool was nice, but they could have a little bit more lounge chair seating because it was a little tough to get at first. For the life of me, I could not figure out the shower bathtub combo and the instructions. That was the most confusing bathtub shower thing. It was very confusing and what I thought was turning on the bathtub based on the directions was turning on the portable showerhead, which then started leaking/spraying down against the wall out onto the floor. The shower/bathtub is completely not practical/functional at all. And the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles kept falling in as I was trying to get in and get the handheld shower head. The bathroom could use more light. It is difficult to apply makeup and do hair because of the extremely poor lighting. Shared a connecting door which doesn’t scream 5 star to me. Bathroom light switch hidden behind in the towel rack that I didn’t even know it was there until late in the night.

You have the ups and downs from moments going smooth and quick to spiraling down out of control, but here at SLS it’s reassuring and so kind. From the moment we arrived here in LA they greeted us. Opened the door and helped us settle in. The lobby is welcoming and unique with the dining room available to viewing upon entry. The rooms are modern appeal with a cozy feel. The dining area is where I had the lasting memory though. What can I say besides his name. The staff member Sebastian is a member of the family. He’s so inviting, refreshing, and very attentive. He helped with choices on the menu and local area delights. We conversed and were left with a lasting awe was that sparked a longing for more. We will be returning with family and friends in tow to experience a hotel and service like no other. Thank you Sebastian!

When I arrived at the counter to check in “GIO” went out of his way to offer me water, process my check in quickly and remind me of some of this properties best features to enjoy. He was so attentive and made us feel so well taken care of with our dietary restrictions - we are dairy free and he helped us modify the menu offerings to accommodate. Sebastian is the best and we would love to dine with him again! The mushrooms in the breakfast omelette were a standout - make sure to add that to your plate!

Amazing lobby restaurant, the you receive daily dining credit. Sebastian was my waiter on several nights and he provided 7 star service. After days of long meetings it was great to relax and have delicious food with great service. Pro tip: The apple pear cobbler will change your life.

Living a few miles away doesn’t stop us from spending another next level weekend of memory making at our favorite hotel in Los Angeles. My partner and I met at this hotel and come back for every milestone moment because of the people. The team. Vanessa, trevor, Alex, everyone in the restaurant and especially Dane on the rooftop with his gorgeous smile and upbeat energy. The lobby lounge is as good as it gets, the vegan options at breakfast lunch and dinner are so appreciated. And the rooms are incredible!!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. We can’t wait to get back there!

- bpadventurer (6/5): Do not waste edit stay on this property and don’t plan to eat here - I specifically chose this property via The Edit by Chase Travel due to the "complimentary benefits" advertised for Sapphire Reserve cardmembers. Service Failures & Dining: During our stay, we were directed to the 6th-floor restaurant for a burger. Upon arrival, we found a single, overworked server managing the entire pool deck. After waiting a significant amount of time and helping ourselves to menus, we were forced to abandon the meal and return to our room to order food instead, as we simply could not get any service. Communication & Early Check-in: One of the advertised benefits of The Edit is "Early check-in, if available." Upon arrival, I was told my room wasn't ready but that I would receive a phone call as soon as it was. After waiting a few hours with no update, I messaged via the app only to be told the room was ready. The lack of follow-through was disappointing and resulted in unnecessary waiting. Breakfast & $100 Property Credit: The Edit advertises these as "complimentary benefits." However, both were reduced by mandatory 20% service charges and taxes. Passing mandatory out-of-pocket costs to a guest for a "complimentary" benefit is misleading and inconsistent with the program's intent. Thus it was not even worth using the entire credit Welcome Amenity: Despite being listed as a benefit for The Edit and as Titanium Elite no welcome amenity was provided or communicated unless it was the bottle of water I was given. I value the partnership between Marriott and Chase, but this stay felt indistinguishable from any standard booking.
- WorldWideTravel88 (8/5): Very Large Suite But Space Not Optimized - I feel a bit lukewarm about this hotel. I rarely use my Marriott Nightly Upgrade Awards but if there is one country where there is probably more competition for upgrades it would be United States so I thought this hotel might be a good opportunity to use NUAs. I was surprised to see that a considerably high level premium suite was available with NUA ("SLS Suite") so I requested it and to my surprise it was approved. Having such a large suite in this kind of city is worth a lot and is normally my most important consideration but a lot of the rest of the stay left a bit to be desired hence my lack of enthusiasm for this hotel. The suite is very big (104 sqm) but for a suite that size, how in the world does it only have one toilet, only one sink, and no bathtub? Instead there is a gigantic closet and even another rack for luggage near the bed as if it was not enough. I guess actors and actresses have more luggage than us. I just think the space is not utilized in an optimal way. One of the reasons I try to avoid Hilton chain hotels in the United States is because there is no free breakfast for Diamond guests, it's simply a breakfast credit. With Marriott chain it is normally not the case but here at SLS it was a bit similar to Hilton: 35 USD credit per adult and part of the destination fee also covers part of the breakfast beyond 70 USD. I personally prefer when the breakfast benefit is free breakfast. At least they allowed takeaway to the room but portions were small. Also they were a bit fussy about my wife not being there at the restaurant entrance when ordering and wanting to give me 35 USD credit only, instead of 70 USD unless she showed up. Service elsewhere in the hotel was also uneven at times, for example there was nobody at the entrance to help with luggage upon arrival. I asked for the Your24 benefit for Bonvoy Ambassador Elite guests and 8pm check-out, but it was originally denied. I even offered to downgrade to a standard room, no luck. They said call your ambassador. I called, then they called the hotel and in the end 6pm was approved without changing room. I am surprised the hotel would prefer we stay in a premium suite until 6pm instead of us moving to a standard room at noon and stay there until 8pm. So the end result was ok although the road to get there was not the smoothest. Considering all of the above I cannot say I would avoid this hotel but I cannot say I will rush back either.

- ayakkadan (10/5): Another excellent stay at SLS - Stayed once again at the excellent SLS Beverly Hills while in town for a meeting. Exquisite experience as always. The room was beautifully appointed and service including the nightly turn down service was excellent. Had food at the restaurants several times for breakfast and many dinners. A special shout out to Sushi by Scratch,a 10 seat sushi restaurant in the hotel, and to Sebastián who was my server at The Nook restaurant and went above and beyond! Looking forward to my next stay, hopefully sooner rather than later.

- 753newyorker (8/5): Conveniently located and spacious rooms - We moved to SLS after our stay at another hotel didn't work out. Do not let the tacky lobby deter you, and yes the lobby decoration is tacky and ugly. The rooms are quite nice and spacious. There was ample room to put all our luggage with an oval dining table and couch. The beds were double, not queen, but it was sufficient. Housekeeping came everyday and service was really good and friendly. Bathroom was spacious, but I don't get the design. I am not sure why the bathroom was designed as such that the water comes out even with the curtains. Having said that, there was ample room and shelving to keep everything. The bathroom had one door that could open into the bedroom. I don't understand why hotels can't have locks on bathroom doors. Unlocked bathrooms just aren't practical. We were very happy with our stay. I paid for stay and eat, and the breakfast included American breakfast. The restaurant had prompt service but on the weekend they were incredibly busy, so much so that seating was slow, service was incredibly slow and they messed up our order several times, but tried to right it each time. In hindsight, I would not have paid for breakfast because it took away the flexibility of just picking up something from outside since weekends were so slow. Breakfast was quite good overall, and the servers really tried but maybe short-staffed. Location is so convenient. Some people recommend other hotels over this for convenience, but this was merely 7-10 minutes walk from the mall, and 10 minutes Uber from La Brea and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. It was a 30-40 minute drive to Santa Monica beach, 30 minutes to Pasadena, and 40-50 minutes to Griffith. Everything else like Hollywood, Sunset Strip, etc. was not too far. Parking was $75 per night which is standard. Trader Joe's is nearby, and a Korean BBQ place and Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ were across the street. We ordered in multiple times during our 4 night stay, and ordering in from outside and room service were both so easy and convenient. We were overall happy with our stay. The rooftop pool was beautiful and heated but due to the rains we were unable to enjoy it. I would stay here again, but likely consider Santa Monica next time to change things up. I highly recommend SLS and do not let the location deter you - it is not that far from central areas.

The food is delectable (thanks to the very good chef, Tricia) and the service provided by Sebastian and Christopher was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

The whole staff, the valet service,housekeeping and everyone is truly exceptional. This would now be our first choice everytime we want a staycation in LA! perfect for our family,the king suite is huge. amazing rooftop deck and their avocado toast and shakshuka for breakfast (until 1:30 PM! another plus!) is a must (kiss mediocre breakfast menus goodbye!)
