Trochę ciężko otwierała się skrytka na klucze. Przy obostrzeniach higienicznych związanymi z korzystania z toalety, nakładka bidetowa powinna być standardem w takich miejscach.

• Jane (4/5): Friendly owner but Disappointing stat. Don’t stay here unless you’re actually deaf - Location The noise from some sort of generator running on the building over night made it impossible to sleep. The street noise during the night was horrendous and the noise from hotel opposite both all night music and early morning rubbish collection was very hard to handle. Combined with a local school and child care centre next door to wake with the sound of screaming children completed our stay. Whilst the owner was good to deal with and rates were reasonable I can’t honestly recommend it

It's walking distance (10 mins) to the Acropolis, shops and restaurants. The food is exceptional and the Athenians are very friendly and helpful people. N/A

Great amazing location beside Syntagma Square so easy acces to lots of museums, the Parthenon and more. Beside cafes, restaurants, supermarket, walk to flea market. Info pack was terrific. Loved light from big window. Staff communication great before arrival, any queries and before departed. Would stay there again and definitely would recommend Plaka Heart. 😀 Have to say did't dislike anything..
• Aramis (8/5): Excelente ubicación y cómodo apartamento - La ubicación es excelente. Está en pleno centro de la ciudad y es el mejor barrio para alojarse. El alojamiento es amplio. Todo diáfano. Nada más entrar en el apartamento Poseidón, tienes a la derecha una pequeña cocina, pero que para desayunar y hacer alguna cena o comida está perfecta. De frente está la mesa con cuatro taburetes (un poco alto para nuestro gusto) y detrás el sofá-cama con una pequeña mesa de centro y enfrente la cama. La cual es bastante amplia y cómoda. Como punto negativo diría solo un par de cosas. El baño es algo pequeño, habiendo solo espacio para una persona. A menos que la otra persona se esté duchando. La ducha sí es amplia. La otra cosa negativa, es que llegamos de noche y nos dimos cuenta que no había secador a pesar de que se indicaba que sí habría. Escribimos a la persona de contacto y nos respondió al día siguiente por la mañana. Muy maja porque nos dijo que ese mismo día nos llevaba uno, al final fue por la tarde-noche porque había una maratón ese día y estaba todo el centro cortado. Nos gustó que nos dieran una solución, pero lo cierto es que deberían haberse asegurado que estaba todo lo necesario a nuestra llegada. Pues al final tuvimos que estar pendientes de cuando vendría la persona al alojamiento.

• dimitrios (3/5): convenient but not comfortable - the location was excellent; it was central to many good eating locations including genuine authentic Greek cuisine at Eugenia's. Difficult for taxi to stop and unload because narrow street but we walked 5 minutes to main street. Helpful landlord's staff. we had a power outage when we were there due to roadworks in front of the complex. This property has a problem. We actually received the keys from the outgoing occupant and we could not go in on early check in as the cleaner needed to clean before we occupied. However the landlord allowed us to place our bags inside. The review of 5 October for the Poseidon room confirmed what the outgoing occupants told us. Thye property's problem is that the bathroom is not ventilated. the outgoing occupant's review told us that the apartment had a sewerage smell. It was a musty stale smell which meant you had to keep the bathroom door closed. We could not stay long in the apartment except to sleep but ventilation was definitely an issue. I don't know Greek building codes but in Australia you cannot have a structure approved unless there is a ventilated wet area. we stayed out as long as possible.

• My Arhidia (7/5): A neglected apartment that should have received a 10 - The location is great, the apartment is clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the mini kitchenette met our needs. The host provided a PDF with all the information we needed, was quick to respond to questions, and even organized transfers for us. The images online depict the apartment when it was newly renovated many years ago, and sadly it appears no maintenance or upkeep has been done since. Paint was peeling from the ceilings, many of the floorboards had shrunk or were chipped, only 1 of the 3 light globes were operational in the bathroom, and everywhere you looked there was something not quite right. Overall, the apartment looked and felt worn out and unappealing.

Great communication from the host who sorted us a taxi etc at last minute. Room very spacious. It’s pretty noisy outside - mainly there must be a bar or something that empties its glass bottles at 2am each day.

• Arthur (4/5): - Was located in a great area with a lot of touristy things nearby. Unfortunately the entire apartment I stayed in smelled of cigarettes despite there being a no smoking sign. Additionally could hear a lot of noise from the street , inside the halls and through the ceiling there was a lot of children loudly running around back and forth. The property manager was super responsive and easy to communicate with, leaving clear instructions. I stayed for just one night because I needed a quick and cheap place to stay, but would not recommend for a long stay. You get what you pay for with this one.

Plaka è un'area molto accogliente e piena di taverne, locali e negozi. Il proprietario è molto gentile e risponde prontamente a ogni richiesta. La cucina potrebbe essere arricchita da qualche pentola in più. La zona guardaroba permette di appendere solo pochi capi.

I was told I could get a late check out and then was rudely kicked out before check out time. Then the hotel ignored me when I tried to find out what happened. Clearly just wants to scam tourists. Host was very responsive to all my messages and offered to help with airport transfers and gave advice on how to get around attractions. There was no window covering on one large window, I’m sure that’s going to be replaced.

• Blythe (6/5): Missed the mark - So we’ll start with the pros: - great air conditioning - great hot water - amazing amount of space for price and location - responsive management Cons: - It was dirty. Long dark hair on the floor and even found a couple on top of the bed, though the bedding seemed pristine otherwise - The property is tired and needs some attention. Again, the price and location are stellar, but could use freshening up in areas that makes it seem dirty. - There are three big windows letting in lots of light(good). One of them doesn’t have curtains, which means that I could lay in bed and look into the apartment next door (not good). It really could be great, but it’s just not. I expect basic cleanliness and some privacy.

We cooked fish from the local market and had a great dinner. The cats outside ate the leftovers. Great Time! The hallway was a bit messy.

Only one box had the name. I had to keep punching the codes into the other boxes to locate the right one. The lock box was quite difficult to open and close. The front door was propped open with a brick and could not be opened from inside..

• Brenda (6/5): - We arrived late in the evening and the lighting is not very good. It has a motion sensor but would only stay on for a short period making it difficult to see the door to unlock. This property was not what we expected at all. It’s a loft that they set up 3 additional ‘cots’ for us (i thought it was a 1 bedroom).Nonetheless, we made it work. However the ceiling paint is pealing off, the windows aren’t framed, 2 of the barstools were broken, the kitchen wasn’t very clean (bar/counter was dirty & there was food/crumbs on the barstools). It was acceptable for our layover in Athens but I’m not sure I’d stay there again.

Basic facilities but all that was needed with a starter coffee pod set, & bathroom amenities. Comfy bed and easy communication with host as required if queries. Price against location was value for money and covered required needs.
• Javed (7/5): Worth booking BUT NOT luxury! - Really good sized apartment, very comfy bed. Amazing location & you are no more than 5 - 20 mins stroll from everything. Great water pressure in the shower too. Reliable air con! A really good base for any solo traveller or younger couple so would recommend it. By UK standards this is 100% not luxury, cheap furniture, clearly needs a refresh & some investment...this could be made amazing! Would advise that it is like a decent Travel Lodge in a great location. Note that the hotel across the road empty their trash at c1am each night so expect to be woken up! Church bells at 7.30am too! Oh & let's NOT discuss how you navigate not being able to flush loo paper down the loo!...owner needs to make it clear on where you need to dispose etc...she was lovely about it & offered to help etc.

• Laura Joanne (8/5): - The location is amazing, nothing is far away. We walked everywhere and saw so many sites. Lots of choices for food and drink and plenty shopping. Local stores as well as recognisable UK high street stores. Property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our three night stay. This is no reflection on the property itself but the road and going’s on outside the property at all hours of the night are so loud! The hotel opposite loading their glass recycling at midnight and it being collected at 3am by the bin men. Cars tooting their horns in the early hours every night. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend earplugs.

• Alejandro (8/5): Location. Location. Location. - Location of the property is amazing. All the sites to visit are nearby, also lots of choices for shopping and dining. I would definitely use this property again. The apartment has a pretty good size, it’s quiet, has an amazing location but it needs some updating. A closet and some drawers would be pretty helpful.
• Judi (1/5): don't stay here, - location was good but incredibly noisy. opposite a garbage pick up and it happened a couple of times a night for each type of garbage, there was shampoo and body wash supplied sheets were clean as were the towels a bottle of water in the fridge there was no hot water when we arrived...but fixed that after an hour or so, there were dirty dishes (lipstick on glasses and dead silver fish on plates) there was a doonah (not clean)for the bed but no clean cover so nights were cold without blankets. curtains were on a rod that could not be pulled...no salt and pepper, a few coffee capsules basically an unfriendly money pinching airbnd. lift did not work, there was not as advertised a bath... no clean washup sponges all used no broom or cleaning sprays in cupboard for a three day stay, no instructions were to dispose of rubbish

Room was large with lots of space, bed was comfortable and a good size, linen was clean, wifi was good Poseidon room is in need of maintenance. Charger connections didn't work,bedside lamps didn't work, bench sitting area laminate is lifting in a several places, floor and walls have chip damage, couldn't get tv to switch on which is is a tiny computer screen and a struggle to see anyway, a/c worked but was filthy, bathroom toiletries are minimal, no water in the fridge or radio (as listed), not sure what the brown stuff was in the ice box
