- Evelyn (10/5): An oasis of quality service in a bustling touristy part of Amsterdam with a phistorical vibe. - We ran into medical issues while at the hotel and the staff was wonderful in organizing doctors, helping print prescriptions, allowing for late checkout and were just generally kind and compassionate and helpful. This means so much when you are in a foreign environment. I also loved that we were staying in a historic landmark (former newspaper publishing house). The hotel is walkable to many attractions and your options are endless on foot. Hotels in general should have two luggage racks! Why do most only have one? Tired of bending over to the floor when I don't get the luggage rack ;0)

- Andrea (9/5): Great location for a short stay in Amsterdam - Hotel is in an excellent location! My room was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is an added cost but the food was good and there was a lot of variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As other reviewers have noted, the bathroom is not particularly private. The walls are kind of like mounted glass so there are gaps and the door does not fully close. It's kind of hard to explain this. Not an issue for solo travel.

Overall we had a good experience at the hotel. Location is great and very convenient for all activities around the city. Room air conditioning wasn't working well and once we mentioned it they moved us to another room which had a similar situation. Mattresses and pillows weren't very comfortable.

The staff are very friendly, and the rooms and the hotel are very clean. in general, that is satisfied with this hotel. if I need to come back, I will be coming here. Highly recommended. The rooms that are as small as usual in Europe. We don’t have any windows on the roads, so it’s on the side road which not too bad for tourists and no balcony

At this rate, you can definitely find much better value elsewhere with more comfortable space. Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were also disappointing. Overall, not worth the cost. The only good thing is the location of the hotel is on the middle of everything.

It was within walking distance of the Central train station, and all the areas of Amsterdam that we wanted to visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and managed to get us an early check-in which was so appreciated. The room was so clean, and it was a perfect size and very comfortable. There wasn't anything that we didn't like! It was the perfect hotel for our stay, and I wouldn't have changed anything.

- PSuares992 (10/5): Cool hotel and central location - Amazing location right in the heart of Amsterdam! Easy to walk to attractions and a tram stop outside if you did not want to walk. Despite this room was quiet and we did not hear any excessive noise from outside. Room size was perfect for 2 people, very clean and plenty of water (big and small bottles in room). Bathroom (sink) was kind of open plan which was a surprise but actually was quite cool. Shower was very good, hot water and good pressure. Shout out to Clement on reception who gave us some great tips for the area and was just helpful in general - the whole reception team were in fact. Did not use restaurant this time but have done so in the past so know that it is fantastic too. 100% will stay again if we visit Amsterdam.

- Britrunner (8/5): Fabulous hotel but the bathroom area was too exposed - This was a fabulous hotel with all staff being friendly, efficient and caring. The food was delicious and I tried lots of breakfast combinations during our 5 day stay. The only regrets for me was the strange bathroom arrangement with the total area on view from the bedroom. This may be fine for a young couple but I am over 70 and I would rather not be "on show" to my partner when I was shaving and stepping out of the shower. The air conditioning was noisy too but the room soundproofing was fabulous.

The hotel itself was well maintained. The staff were delightfully friendly and the room was great value for the price. My only comment would be that there's no door to separate the bathroom with the bedroom. So if you are sharing with someone that isn't a significant other or family member, it can be quite intimate

- Gülperi (6/5): - When we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly team. However, the experience went downhill after check-in. Although the room was listed as 22m², the layout (due to the attached bathroom placement) left absolutely no floor space to even open a suitcase. It is truly impractical for two people. We called reception to request an upgrade. They promised to call back in 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes with no response, we had to unpack to get ready for our dinner reservation, so we were forced to give up on moving rooms. Later, we realized the heating system wasn't working. We called reception again and were told, 'Someone will be there in 5 minutes; we don’t want you to be cold.' But guess what? No one came, and no one called back to follow up. Considering there are better, more central hotels available for the same price, I honestly don't know why we chose this one.
