• Vic (10/5): Good central location with easy access to most attractions - It was exactly as expected, a two bedroom apartment. The facilities as advertised were all there, clean and tidy. the beds were comfy and had nice linen. The apartment was within easy reach of most of the main attractions, being just 5 minutes from the Arc del Triomp and 10 minutes from Placa Catalunya (where the Aerobus stops). We walked every where we went in the city, covering between 7 and 10 miles per day. There were plenty of places to eat near by and a good range of shops. The neighbouring property is being renovated, the workmen start quite early with power tools and hammers, so there was some transmitted noise. We stayed at the beginning of May 26, not sure how long the works will go on for..

• Emily (9/5): Lovely, central Barcelona location - and a great space to spend a last night in Spain. - This location is spectacular, and walking accessible to many interesting places to explore in Barcelona. Beds are comfortable the furnishings were lovely and clean. We arrived at 5PM, and getting in with a key code was easy. We also left too early (7:30am) to connect with a person, but this really wasn't a problem. We wish we'd had more time. Very cool balconies that overlook a vibrantly busy street. If street noise bother you, this may be a problem. When windows were closed, it wasn't too bad. We had a family of four, and the bed situation (while technically accommodating four) was a little less than ideal. There are also only two comfy chairs in the living space (and a few other perfectly nice dining-style chairs). It would have been better for three people.

Il caratteristico quartiere di El Born e tutte le maggiori attrazioni sono a un passo. Sistemazione luminosa, arredamento nuovo e a tratti molto originale. Letto comodo. Spazi ampi. Mari sempre presente e disponibile, dalla prenotazione fino alla partenza. Ci ha aiutati (con Daniela) sia per gli orari del check in che per il deposito bagagli al check out. Abbiamo apprezzato molto. Nelle stanze occorrerebbe almeno un piccolo armadio e una sistemazione per poggiare le borse/valigie. La soluzione con le stampelle al muro è simpatica ed originale ma poco funzionale. Qualche utensile in più in cucina.

• Miroshnikova (9/5): Thank you 🙏 - The vibe (it was an old reconstructed apartment) and attitude of Mari and Damian towards the guests. We had trouble getting our cars out of the parking, which was closed on Saturday of our departure. Damian immediately ran to help us out. And we had a fantastic coffee break on the 8th floor with Mari. This is a special place. No dishwashing machine. Parking can be tricky around the place.

• Arman (7/5): Good Location... not as comfortable but environmentally friendly! - The room was very cosy and the building was centrally located in the old city.. walking distance to many places. It was spacious and the balcony was a great piece. The environmentally friendly features were at extensive cost of comfort. There were no shampoos, no facial tissues, or daily cleaning or fresh/clean towels (needed to pay extra to get clean towels per day). I work in the climate-change mitigation community, so my approach is mostly friendly with such environmentally-friendly approaches. It, however, should not cost customers their comfort, and this place did substantially reduce comfort for this cause.

• Geraldine (6/5): Pleasant - First of all, the apartment is beautifully decorated. The host is responsive, and the bed is comfortable. I was quite taken aback by the experience regarding additional charges. After two days, we were offered extra towels (we stayed for four nights) but were asked to pay 5 euros in cash, which felt unreasonable given the premium rate of 340 euros per night for two guests. Additionally the quality of the towels were of poor quality, not quite in line with what you’d expect from such a beautifully designed apartment. Sandro explained that items in the pantry had an additional cost, which is understandable. However, being charged 27 euros for a bottle of shampoo and two toothbrushes, in addition to the initial charge for extra towels, was unexpected and distasteful. While I understand there may have been a note regarding the toiletries, given the price point and the exhaustion of traveling, I didn’t have the chance to read it in detail. I brought this up with the owner, as these small details significantly impact the overall experience. It's not about the cost itself, but the principle—it diminished the perception of a high-end, quality accommodation. I would have preferred these basic needs to be accounted for upfront. For an apartment of this caliber, such charges come across as petty and detract from the overall quality of the stay.
• Amnon (5/5): Although there are good things, there are much better places at this price level - The apartment is super clean. The check in to the apartment is easy with the codes, no need for the host. Host was very responsive and pleasant. The location of the place is superb! The facility is not good. 1st, the access in the entrance of the building is awful! Coming with trolley is almost impossible since you need to make your way into the building. 2nd, it can take 10 minutes to go up and down the elevator since there are a lot of people in the building, and the elevator is minimal and barely working. 3rd and maybe the most important , there is no single closet (or even a shelf) in the apartment!!! We were 6 adults with 2 little kids. We didn't unpack for 5 nights! The luggages were scattered across the apartment making every basic conduct complex and unpleasant.

Communication was excellent, I felt I could contact them anytime and they would help. The apartment is beautiful and large (I had booked Casa A), everything we needed was there. The shower has great water pressure, the beds are excellent; the air conditioning was perfect against the heat. I really loved the sensitive design to the beautiful historic substance of the apartment and the building, tall ceilings, beautiful windows and shutters, lovely details everywhere. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

All communication prior to check in was so helpful and whilst we were there Sandro was always on hand and made our stay so enjoyable. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were! We didn’t dislike anything about the property - it was perfect for us. But one thing of note for future guests is some of the bedrooms are on to the road which could be noisy if you struggled with that sort of thing. It was fine for us though!

The host, Mari, was so welcoming and friendly, she could not have been more helpful. She surprised us with refreshments and even birthday cake for our friend’s birthday celebration on arrival. The apartment was exactly what we wanted - spacious, clean, comfortable and in a great location for seeing all the sights. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

I am advising you to go at 8th floor for a coffee, they have a great rooftop and chatting with Mari is a pleasure. We loved the small things that make a big difference in hospitality. If you stay in the room next to the street you have a great big window door that is very nice, but in case you are a light sleeper get the free ear plugs that Casa Yok is offering on the corridor as the streets in Barcelona are always active.

• Ashley (7/5): Good - Fabulous location and the hospitality was amazing!! The space was really lovely for 2 people. Our only issue with the stay was it was quite loud at night when trying to sleep. The doors to the bedrooms don’t fully close/seal so on busier weekend nights it tends to be quite loud if you’re a light sleeper. I slept with my noise cancelling headphones to sleep for two of the nights.

We didn't know that the A/C only worked when all doors and windows were latched shut, so we had a very sweaty first night! Would be good to have an explanation next to the A/C for people. The apartment has all the important facilities that you need. location is right next to Plaza de Catalonia close to everything but not crowded. and the most important part are the hostess who where the best!!! they gave us recommendations they helped us with every request and also very very nice to talk to!
• Adam (10/5): Wonderful apartment in a great location. - Simply wonderful apartment. We stayed in Casa B which was very spacious, airy, light, and with all the amenities we needed. The hosts were exceptionally helpful. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper due to the traffic and noise from the road outside. It’s not a main road, but as with all city centre locations it can be loud from early morning.

• Jennifer (10/5): Great character eco apartment in central location - Really beautiful old-style apartment with lots of character and very eco-focused, down to every detail - a great example of the changes we could all make. We appreciated the fruit and the filtered water that was provided and there were other interesting foods etc in the apartment you could buy - we would have done so if we were there longer as they looked good! Mari and Sandro were very friendly and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything and helpfully arranged a reliable and clean taxi service for the airport, even though it was late at night when I saw and responded to their offer to do so. Good area, although we were only there one full day so didn't have a chance to explore too much, but noticed there were several organic businesses in very close proximity, along with small supermarkets that were open til late, and it was an easy walk to Gothica. Probably as with any accommodation in a busy city area there was some street noise although it died down later in the night so still had a good sleep. We loved the views on the balcony also : ) Highly recommended!

Became warmer later. Even if the place is based on sustainability, missing few equipment for a 8 people flat (no dishwasher washing machine, oven) No coffee machine available, just a French press.

Thanks, Sandro! There weren’t any major things to complain about but do bring earplugs if you’re not used to noise at night or are a light sleeper as the road is rather noisy.
