- vasanthin2024 (10/5): Too close for comfort - Being in New York City location was the key, so we could walk to most of the venues. This mid Town location made that possible. The Hotel hospitality was warm, gracious, and made us feel like home away from home. The room was comfortable with our daily bottles of water, it was spotlessly clean, and spacious with bright windows. The hallways were clean and smelled fresh. The bar was cozy with great cocktails, and the jazz music at the piano bar added to the whole gust experience. I intend to go back to New york and stay at this hotel and location.

- lollom587 (10/5): Always a wonderful stay - When I come to New York City, I always choose the NH collection NY Madison. It is the best hotel for so many reasons and it never disappoints. The staff is extremely professional yet warm and always helpful. The rooms are modern and clean and the beds always comfortable. The lobby is beautiful and the live music at the Mad Bar on weekday evenings is a nice touch. Always very happy to come back to this hotel and I highly recommend it.

- F7436SDnataliaa (10/5): Great location, comfortable room, and staff members who made a difference. - My wife had already stayed at this NH and left with a great impression. When we went back as a couple, the gentleman who checked us in at reception asked if we needed separate beds (we had booked a king bed), and was pretty condescending all around. He put us in a lower floor in a room with a stained carpet and a broken curtain rail, which was very odd given that we were staying for almost a week, and were returning guest, so clearly not one-time overnight tourists. We were about to move hotels when another front desk worker, Christina, turned the whole experience around. She handled the situation with unmatched professionalism and grace, and other hotel staff like Aaron, Sailish, and Johnny followed her lead, which made for a great experience. This is why I am giving it 5 stars. Compared to other hotels in the area, I believe the rates are fair. The jazz nights at the hotel bar during weekdays are a plus, the hotel location is great to walk around and get to places by subway (got to Brooklyn in about 40 minutes). I had late check out (3pm) and someone from management knocked and tried to open the room door at 12.15pm, so it seems that they are still figuring out some communication procedures. Nevertheless, thanks to Christina, I have recommended NH Collection Madison Avenue to my clients and will be returning soon.

Ottima accoglienza alla reception, in particolare Andrea è stato molto gentile, ci ha dato buoni consigli su come vivere al meglio la nostra vacanza ed è stato sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza tra cui un upgrade della stanza e il late check out a prezzo contenuto La colazione di buona qualità ma servita in un bar adiacente all hotel in cui potevano entrare anche gli esterni, motivo per cui sopratutto nei giorni feriali dalle 7 alle 9 era sovraffollato e i prodotti a volte non erano adeguatamente riforniti Impianto di condizionamento rumoroso, durante la notte abbiamo dovuto tenerlo spento perché disturbava parecchio Non sempre le cameriere sono state attente a rifornire asciugamani e prodotti da bagno per cui abbiamo dovuto sollecitare più volte in reception, ma una volta sollecitato hanno provveduto a mandarci l’occorrente direttamente in camera Unica nota veramente negativa che ci ha lasciato delusi è stata l’impossibilità di usufruire della serata di piano bar programmata dentro l’hotel per gli ospiti nei giorni feriali perché presente una festa privata che occupava praticamente tutto il bar lasciando solo la possibilità di usufruire dei tavoli più lontani in cui a causa della distanza e del chiasso della festa era impossibile sentire la musica. L’iniziativa del piano bar serale è una bellissima opportunità gratuita ma ci aspettavamo maggiore esclusività per gli ospiti.

On check out we had to hear a rather large and ongoing heated argument amongst the staff. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Room service was poor also. Paper cups in the room was surprising. At that price I was expecting real cups, saucers and drinking glasses. Real spoons, etc.

Non è stato possibile regolare la potenza del getto dell’aria che produceva un rumore un po’ fastidioso.

I thought that I had breakfast included in my stay but to my initial dismay, had not. We booked breakfast on the Monday of our 5 night stay at it was very poor. The selection was plentiful but the "hot" food was cool at best. Definitely NOT worth the $70 for both of us. Way overpriced for what it was.

It had been difficult to find a hotel that offered a twin bed room - that wasn't charged for 4 people, as so many hotels only offer x2 queen beds! So that was our initial big tick - oh and the beds were so comfy especially after our 20,000+ steps a day! Next the location was PERFECT - minutes on foot from Times Square, Empire State, Grand Central - but far enough away that you were not fighting through the crowds. All the staff were so lovely and friendly, and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable New York base.

The team were extremely accommodating, including allowing me to view and confirm room upgrades, changing my room at check‑in when the original twin was too small, and honouring late check‑out across all stays. A special thank you to Fredrick Jones, who was outstanding to work with and truly went above and beyond to support every request. Lucien from the overnight team was also excellent—very courteous, articulate, and supportive whenever issues arose. I’d also like to recognise Salesh, who had only recently joined the hotel but was incredibly kind and welcoming; I wish him every success in his career with NH. Finally, Loida continues to be a pleasure to interact with—she always remembers me on return visits and consistently brings a helpful, positive attitude. A genuinely welcoming hotel with a great team—I would happily return and highly recommend it.

- loritomhi (10/5): Wonderful stay! - My daughter and I traveled to NYC for a special mother-daughter weekend. I was looking for a nice, clean and safe hotel w/ 2 twin beds (hard to find!) in Midtown - and we were really pleased with our stay! Besides its super convenient location in Midtown, the hotel is gorgeous (especially the 1st floor lobby, bar & lounge areas, including fresh flowers). We enjoyed the fresh fruit water in the lobby 24/7 and Jazz @ Mad Bar & Lounge on Monday-Thursday evenings (we listened to pianist Denis Liburd on Monday). Our room was small (as expected for NYC) but beautiful and full of wonderful features/amenities (black out shades, nespresso, mini-cooler, robes, slippers, good quality bath & body products, and comfortable beds). Loved the wall art in our room and bathroom! A few really special employees, like Frederick (sp?) and Sailesh "Sal" in Guest Relations and the Housekeeping lady for our room made our stay outstanding. Be sure you join Minor Discovery to get the benefits of free wifi and 50% off the resort fee. We will stay here again!

- elainewU8122KN (10/5): Best experience in hotel I have ever had. - I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel that I felt I had to leave a review to express how I feel. First of all, the lady at the front desk during check-in was incredibly kind and welcoming. She patiently walked me through all the hotel facilities, dining hours, and everything I needed to know, which made me feel very comfortable right from the start. I stayed here for three nights and am currently on my second night. Both evenings, we came back to find thoughtfully prepared welcome touches in our room, including a personalized card, bottled water, chocolates, and even a beautiful orchid decoration. It truly made us feel cared for. The room itself is very spacious, and the bathroom is surprisingly large. What impressed me even more was that the bathroom included disposable slippers, toothpaste, and toothbrushes — something that many hotels in the U.S. don’t usually provide. There was also a foldable shower chair and grab bars near the toilet, which I think is very considerate for guests who may need extra support. Another delightful surprise was the electric kettle. For those of us who are used to drinking hot water, this small detail meant a lot and felt incredibly thoughtful. The hotel also provides two large complimentary bottles of water. On the first day, we asked for extra water, used some tea bags, and cups — and when we returned the next day, everything had been replenished in double. That level of attentiveness truly stood out. I can genuinely feel that the staff here are putting in real effort to take care of their guests’ needs. Overall, my mom and I could not be happier with our stay. It has been such a wonderful and pleasant experience.

- internak2020 (10/5): Great service especially the car service! - The location was away from Time Square and Central Park but that’s what we wanted. The walk to those locations was level and doable. The atmosphere was calming and high end feeling. Exactly what we were looking for. We had three rooms rented including two that were linked. The windows were well designed for darkness but still had a little light leaking in. We had an excellent rate for our room. Noise level was very good on the 16th floor. Two of our rooms were ready right away but we had to have lunch at the attached restaurant anyway. The front desk guy Jeremy found us at the restaurant and hand delivered our room keys. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and we had no problems with accessibility. Everyone was very accommodating. One of the highlights of our trip was the car service booked through the hotel. The driver CHRIS was very good with text updates including checking in days before our arrival and departure. He was flexible and answered questions in a timely manner. Traveling with three adults, a child in a wheelchair and large bags can be complex in NYC. Chris’ service was too notch and made that part of the trip effortless.
