When we walked up to our non-smoking room it stunk like cigarette smoke before we even opened the door. We asked to switch, and they did switch us but said they couldn’t promise the new room would be any better. Luckily the new room didn’t smell like smoke. We left our bags and went straight to our event. When we came back a cockroach greeted us at the door. My husband then saw something moving around in the bed, upon closer look it was a bed bug. We decided to check out and find somewhere else to sleep.

- Kelsey (8/5): BASIC stay only, nothing glamourous - Room was adequate for a normal quick stay. But room was very outdated. Painted on sink. Strange tub overlay. Room was cleaned every day which is odd given the mirror in bathroom said every 3 days. So nice perk at least. But they kept giving my pillows to my roommates bed and vice versa. (I had a body pillow and a pillowcase on one pillow that kept getting moved to the secondary bed every day) No bugs or dirt, but my socks turned black from the floors. Half the lights in the room didn't work. Outlets were broken but functional ish at least. TV was small and the picture was narrow for every station. Parking was the most annoying, as no where to park to check in, and given gate code AFTER check in. Garage stunk of garbage and cigs. Elevators up had graffiti and trash in the lights.

- Christian (8/5): - Ramada in Koreatown is definitely not like the other Ramada in New Zealand. Its a good location and convenient for what we were doing. They have secure parking in the lower level and security at night who patrol the parking area. The place can definitely use an upgrade. The beds were comfortable. Wi-fi sucked as it kept dropping in and out.

There’s limited food options at the hotel but you’re in ktown and it’s easy to find something near by. Location isn’t the nicest, but convenient to other areas in west LA.

- Sarah (10/5): - Staff were friendly and very transparent about hotel policies. Parking was a little tricky as it was a narrow half U-shape driveway into it that was also connected to the lobby. There weren’t many spaces that I could see, but it was conveniently connected to the elevator. Air conditioning was great during the summer and the location was next to a family-friendly Korean restaurant with super kind owners as well as a AYCE restaurant. A Hmart and other good eateries in Koreatown were within 7-10min walking distance! Very convenient. Facilities were clean and comfy, the walls were just a little thin as we could hear people walking above and around us.

There was one interesting seafood restaurant next to the hotel. The area was quiet and behind the hotel were residential apartments. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is simple but has everything you need: great location, excellent and very friendly service, and, best of all, free and convenient parking, which made everything so much easier. I’ll definitely consider staying here again next time I’m in LA!

- Molly (8/5): - Considering I booked kinda last minute, the nightly rate was excellent. The lack of microwave is a downer, but meh, I wasn't bringing back a ton of leftovers. Decent public transportation nearby too, although expect to see unhoused folks right outside if you prefer to explore on foot. If I had to make a complaint - the room always felt DAMP while the AC was running and I'm not really sure why. Also I wish there were separate switches for bathroom light and fan, because sometimes the light took a while to actually turn on. All in all, nothing to post about on Instagram, but perfectly functional for my purposes.

My husband and I did not watch tv, so we can’t comment on that. We really liked how the parking was secure behind a gate. The only reasons why we took off a star was because there was not a microwave in the room, and the towels were thin.There was a shared microwave available which was good.

The hotel looks worn and dilapidated. The water pressure was great but the drain was slow. I killed a couple of bugs in the bathroom. Our room was on the third floor and we could hear the noise from the street. The elevator was hot and smelled like feet. The blow dryer was super weak. Luckily I only stayed one night and would never stay here again.

I work many years with hotel industry everyone do offer an extra hour as a courtesy but I guess not at this Ramada.. during this stay..
- luis (10/5): - Look. This is NOT the Hyatt in downtown or anything bougie. It was nice and super convenient. And thats all I needed. Stayed here with my daughter and not once did we feel unsafe. Its a little outdated but thays fine. It was clean and super quiet. Definitely my choice from here on out.

You are right in the heart of Koreatown so there is a lot of tasty food. There’s also a great coffee shop right across the street from the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking around in the area past dark alone though. If you’re looking for a quick and easy stay this is a good spot for you :-)

- Jennifer (8/5): Great price, clean and comfy - We stayed here for the weekend for a concert at The Wiltern. The location was perfect, we just walked down a block to the venue. Our room was facing an all you can eat Korean bbq and sushi spot which seemed to be very popular and there was quite a bit of noise which concerned us but it got quiet very quickly and we had no problems getting to sleep. The beds squeaked a little bit were comfy. You can tell they’ve updated the rooms but the bathrooms do need a little bit of an update compared to the rooms. Check in was very easy, we did need to ask the cleaners to give us a “please do not disturb sign” as we felt we didn’t need their services every day. We would definitely rebook this place if we needed to stay in the area

- Edward (10/5): Home away from home - Loved our stay again at our favorite getaway spot in Los Angeles. Close to all our places of interest. Loved the comfort of the junior suite and the remodeled bathroom in our room. Staff is always friendly. Parking is plentiful and the price allowed us to enjoy a mini vacation on a budget. We love the city and this place is nestled in heart of Koreatown. The attached restaurant Koreatown Pizza Company serves delicious food for those in the go. Can't wait for another stay.

They were painting the halls but really felt like hotel that charges by the hour. 😢

- bill (10/5): Hidden Gem - We stayed for 4 days and were pleased with our choice. Our room was on Wilshire Blvd and were surprised at how quiet it was. The hotel was in a mostly residential area and felt safe. The parking was ok, although cars parked super close to each other. If you gave a larger vehicle, you may have a challenge with parking. Room was clean. The refrigerator was larger than expected, it was actually able to hold some food and beverages. Bathroom was large, a two sink vanity. Water pressure was great in the shower. Another plus, you could open the windows if you wanted fresh air. It was quite inside too. No loud guests or obnoxious smells. Hotel was close to drugstore and major grocery store, if anything was needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. Only con was that there was no television guide so you could know what channels you get and what was on, you had to scroll through channels. This was minor. Another con, which was more personal than hotel, is that the matress was a spring matress. We are used to a nonspring matress, but still slept good.

There is only one way in/out so if the lot is full you have to do a series or forward/backward with your car to make a turn around. They do have ample underground parking but you dont get the code until you check in Also the wifi was slow during our stay and our TV kept glitching and stopping during viewing any of the channels. The room also did not have a microwave. None of the above are deal breakers and were easlily taken care of. I would stay here again. A big plus was the Koreatown Pizza Company restaurant onsite. Its more than just pizza, although their pizza was so yummy!

It's an older building, not much to see in the immediate vicinity (in terms of shops or dining?), but it's only a short walk to K- Town, so i didn't mind it too much. The staff were very polite & friendly and the rooms are very tidy (they actually mop the floors and straighten the rooms everyday). Overall, i had a very pleasant stay here. My rating: 4/5

- Verified traveler (6/5): 3/5 free parking - The hotel gets a 3/5. It works for what it is: you have a comfortable bed, a working fridge, a shower, and 24hour front desk service. The best thing is that you are given a space to park as LA is known to be rough for parking. Some things that I would say needs improvement are the walls, the shower, and the floors. Our room had very thin walls (not sure if all the rooms are like that), but it made it hard to sleep when neighbors were up and talking. Our shower head was leaking when taking a shower and the apartment floor was a bit sticky. If those were improved, this would get an easy 4/5 from me as it’s located near the heart of downtown LA. Give this place a shot if you just need a hotel for a night or two.

- James (8/5): - Older building in need of a full renovation but it still does the job. Single pane windows don’t keep out much street noise so light sleepers should ask for opposite side of building. Didn’t try the pizza restaurant off the lobby but cafe directly across the street had great morning fare.

- Mar (8/5): - We stayed at the Ramada due to its proximity to The Wiltern, and for that, it's worth it. It's nearby lots of shops, restaurants, bars, public transport, and ride shares. The property is a bit dated, but at least it is clean. The room was very spacious. Depending on where you're from and what "safe" means to you, can affect your perception of the hotel. Personally, I felt safe enough because there was security on the property at all times. I would stay here again the next time I'm in LA and have tickets to a show at The Wiltern.

Every stores are just few mins away, you can even walk to near by hmart and many many other stores, hotel is old but at downtown with free parking at reasonable price, a repeat for me. Room amenities are old, but the cleaning staff does a miracle to keep everything on point

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was very spacious and clean. There's always someone at the front desk ( I had to check out at 4am and someone was there to help me plus security was there also).
