What made our experience truly memorable was the exceptional service provided by Sara Shimoura of the concierge team. The atmosphere of the hotel is very classy and the rooms are super comfortable and clean. Excellent service specially from the concierge Sara. They have available different restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Japanese and two bars) and food was great in all of them.

The room was spacious and comfortable. La Baie was an excellent meal. Most of all, the concierge was spectacular. We had been emailing months in advance and they were also so timely with their responses. The whole staff was amazing, but Sara Shimoura in particular was so helpful, kind, and wonderful to deal with.

We have stayed at many Ritz Carlton’s over the years, usually with great service but this was the best. Immediately greeted at arrival by the bell team, bags loaded as we were escorted to check in. Give a tour and information on the hotel and luggage we had sent ahead was already in room, as well as room set up with ritz kids tents and play packages. Anytime we needed anything there was someone ready to help, and do so exceptionally. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and serviced. On check out our language was sent ahead and a larger taxi was pre arranged and waiting for us. Made it very easy just to enjoy the trip and worry about nothing else.

- AdelGawdat (10/5): Great concierge service - The hard product is spot on, nice spacious room, comfortable bed, nice gym/spa area, and overall good amenities. The breakfast is very good, I recommend you try it at least one time. The service is where they shined. With such a big hotel, I didn’t expect such a level of personal touch. I had a chair waiting in the shower as I requested ( surprisingly rare to get this accommodation). Concierge is where they truly shine. They remembered us and our preferences. They customized their recommendations based on what they learned about us, and managed our reservations based on specific tastes. Sara in particular was amazing. They are lucky to have such a talented and dedicated employee. She speaks 5 languages fluently, and made us feel very comfortable in every way.

We have stayed consistently in RC through Europe, North America, the Middle East and North Africa and was looking forward to our first in Asia. We stay loyal to RC and Marriott top hotels because Marriott rewards loyalty with service and perks. In all those stays over 30 years, RC was as one would expect so didn’t even bother reviewing. This RC in Osaka was such an outlier that I had to take the time to write this. The room and housekeeping was as expected - at time exceeding expectations. The reception was nice at the beginning but then it all changed. They not only refused to honor all the benefits of the program but went so far as to lie to our face as to availability! when we showed that on their internet site the upgrade was available they tried to make up some excuse that they were overbooked like an airplane! Like if I booked a room on their site, went to check in they would say sorry, we are overbooked so bye-bye. REALLY?!? And the best, it was 2:30pm and she said check it is at 3pm so I would have to wait thirty minutes before they would give me the room! I don’t really blame the reception staff but rather the Manager because the receptionist said all these ridiculous things after speaking with him or her. The Manager sets the tone for the hotel and this one was awful. Our whole stay ended up leaving a bad taste to it and we looked forward to checking out. We are to Kyoto next and have cancelled our RC nights and rebooked at Four Seasons. The hospitality and friendliness is a welcome change as to our our stay in RC.

The hotel is elegant, beautifully maintained, and operated with an impressive level of attention to detail. But what truly made our stay memorable was the warmth and professionalism of the team. I would especially like to recognize Sara Shimoura from the concierge team, who demonstrated what great hospitality really means. We had forgotten to confirm a tour reservation, and Sara immediately took ownership of the situation. Within just a couple of hours she organized the tour and helped us secure additional reservations so that our plans in Osaka worked perfectly. Her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond made a real difference in our stay. It’s exactly the kind of thoughtful service that turns a great hotel into a memorable experience. Experiences like this remind you that great hospitality is not only about beautiful hotels, but about people who genuinely care about their guests. The spirit of hospitality we experienced here truly reflects the meaning of Japanese omotenashi. Thank you again to Sara and the entire team at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka. We look forward to returning.
- traveler195655 (2/5): Avoid Ritz Carlton Osaka - We were very disappointed with our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka. While the hotel itself is beautiful, the service experience did not meet the expectations we have for this brand. Throughout our stay we were unable to secure reservations for drinks or dinner at the hotel’s restaurants or bars. In fact, there is no lobby bar in which to just stop and have a drink or meet friends. I e never experienced such a situation before in my travels. When we asked for assistance in finding a place to meet up with our family (all staying at the hotel), staff suggested that we go to another hotel for drinks instead, which was surprising for a luxury property. Because of this, we ended up eating most of our meals through room service rather than enjoying the hotel’s dining venues. Room service took 40-50 minutes to arrive, which wasn’t ideal! Overall, the lack of access to dining and limited support from staff made the stay frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, it did not reflect the level of service we typically expect from the Ritz-Carlton.

We even ran into some issues regarding some booking errors and they were absolutely incredible in resolving the issues. My wife and I spent time celebrating our 30 year anniversary here and they made it a very memorable experience. One of the best hotels that I have stayed at and highly recommend.

I want to give a shoutout to the concierge who gave the English speaking art tour who gave painstaking details of the origins of each of the artwork and furniture that adorn this fantastic hotel. The room quality was also high. Super comfortable corner room, wonderful finishes right down to the carpet and crystal lamps. The Ritz Carlton pastry shop also had some of the best pastries I had while in Japan, absolutely delicious. Elegance personified if you want an elevated stay.

Our room was on the 36th floor and had expansive views of the city. The next best thing about the hotel is its location. From the basement, there is a network of paths to metro stations and a multitude of stores. I would give it a 5-stars+++ for the staff and our concierge, Sara.

We required assistance planning day trips to Kyoto on the Bullet Train, restaurants in Osaka and daytime itineraries which were all organised by the Concierge team in particular Sara Shimoura. We also had wonderful dinner suggestions from Simon Finch for our family of 4. The Ritz Carlton was a lovely hotel to finish of our trip in Japan.

The location was perfect, close to the train station yet far enough away to feel removed from the hustle and bustle of Osaka. It was the best of both worlds. Our room was very clean and surprisingly spacious. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The service throughout the hotel really stood out. We would especially like to recognize Sara Shimoura from the concierge team. During our trip, my daughter lost her purse in the Dotonbori area, which was stressful and intimidating in a foreign country where we do not speak the language. Sara showed so much compassion and patience. She helped us contact the police station, explained exactly where to go and what to do, and checked in with us during our stay and even after we returned home. She truly turned an upsetting situation into a much more manageable one. The Ritz Carlton is very fortunate to have Sara on their team. Because of the service and overall experience, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka.

I casually mentioned it was my mother in law’s birthday while checking in and one hour later we were in the Tea room/lounge and the staff presented her with a special dessert & Happy Birthday song on the piano! Also, Ayumi the Splendid restaurant assistant manager was very kind to my mother in law during our breakfast the next day. This is a very well run hotel with fantastic staff.

Before we even arrived, they helped us make restaurant reservations and arranged special pillows for the room as requested. Once we checked in, the team continued to be patient and helpful every day, giving us clear directions and suggestions for the places we wanted to visit. One moment that really stood out was when we asked for help finding a long-lost Japanese friend. We knew it was a long shot, but the team took the request seriously—and they actually found him. It meant more to us than we can express. What stayed with us the most was the sincerity of everyone we interacted with. The team’s work ethic and kindness came through in small moments as much as the big ones, and we feel grateful everyday. We also want to mention Simon Finch, the Director of Loyalty, who was warm, approachable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

- Londonite79 (10/5): Best luxury hotel in Osaka…10 out of 10! - Only spent one night at the Ritz in Osaka but everything was perfection. We were upgraded and checked in early as the room was booked via Amex. While the decor may seem dated to some, it felt luxurious & classic and the hotel has been well maintained. The rooms are comfortable & spacious with every amenity you would expect in a 5 star hotel…luxurious robes/pyjamas & I especially appreciated the complementary mineral water in glass bottles. The gym is well equipped and the 15 min massage I had on the stretch mats was well worth it and was booked on the spot without hassle. However, the standout for me was the impeccable service. Every interaction with the hotel staff was near on flawless and ended with them asking if there was anything else they could do to make our stay more comfortable and it felt genuine. These little touches are what make a hotel stand out in my opinion. The Ritz has trained their staff well! If I ever return to Osaka, I will definitely be staying here…
