Haltestellen für Vaporetto und Wassertaxi direkt vor der Türe. Traumhafter Blick auf den Kanal vom Zimmer. Was man wissen muss: ab dem 15. April darf nicht mehr geheizt werden. Im Mai, 10grad Aussentemperatur: Zimmer kalt, Bad eiskalt. Nach massiver Beschwerde bekamen wir einen Heizstrahler.

Ke (4/5): Too closed to street, and unlucky to ran into a faulty AC - Very closed to train station, very convenient. It’s also closed to a grocery store (2 mins walk). The hotel is too closed to the main street. Even though the hotel has good windows, there’s just too many conditions you can’t control. For example, every morning at 5, there’s a truck running idle in front of the hotel, maybe pumping water or something, for a good 20 mins, wakes me up every morning. And in my case, I was unlucky, stayed in a room with faulty AC. The first day was fine. The second day the AC was malfunctioned, turned the room into a sauna. I had to went to front desk several times, trying different solutions. At one point the technician turned off the AC completely and we were getting less and less fresh air over the hour, and ended up waking up and asked the front desk to turned if back on. That night was a nightmare. And the hotel was fully booked, front desk had no way to move us to a different room. At the end, the manager waived 50% off on that day. It was better than nothing. At least they were showing a good gesture. But given this experience, I expect they should at least waive the fee of that night given that the room that night is not up to basic livable standard. I was not even asking for compensation of the damage to my remaining planned trip.I didn’t bother to argue but can’t resist to complain here.

Die Zimmer sind teilweise in die Jahre gekommen und dürften mal eine Auffrischung erhalten. Seit Covid gibt es kein Frühstücksbuffet mehr und man musd alles bestellen, was teilweise dann lange dauert. Das könnte man verbessern

Christopher (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel in the most convenient location in Venice with quick access to the city, the train station and the taxi/bus terminal. The staff is very friendly and quick to assist guests. The breakfast, included in our rate, was wonderful with lots of hot and cold options. Our room was fairly large for an older building with a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was also a good size with a larger, multi-shower head shower with lots of hot water. Nothing. The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in.

ianjL435NH (10/5): Well worth a visit. - A lovely hotel…..location , room (we were in 211), cleanliness , breakfast and overall service was excellent and we would happily stay there again if/ when we return to Venice The only disappointment was the evening dinner at the sister hotel Stern…..despite the best efforts of the receptionist and waiter the overall experience did not live up to expectation and we did not consider it value for money.

Die Fenster in den Zimmern sind für nichts. Man hört die Leute plaudern draussen, Busmotoren röhren, ab 5 Uhr wird der Platz gereingt mit Hochdruckreiniger mit Aggregat (sehr laut). La posizione è perfetta, la camera pulita, il personale alla reception molto cordiale. Purtroppo questa impressione positiva è stata fortemente offuscata da un'esperienza estremamente spiacevole. Avevo dimenticato un maglione nell'armadio della camera e ne avevo informato l'hotel il giorno dopo la partenza. Purtroppo, però, non hanno voluto saperne nulla. Peccato che non potrò mai più prenotare questo hotel.
Gregory (10/5): A most enjoyable stay in a high quality room with a very pleasant outlook - A large high quality room with a very good bed. Nice views out the window of the start of the Grand canal. Courtious and helpful staff. The hotel is very conveniently located near the Piazzale Roma ferry wharf. Importantly the room was very quiet at night. The breakfast was expensive and so we didn't take it. There was shortage of nearby eating locations although there were coopperativas close by where one could buy food.

Personal muy atento y amable especialmente en la Recepción. El desayuno Continental muy bueno y abundante y la chica que nos atendió fue encantadora en todo momento y se esforzaba por hablarnos en español, nos hizo sentir como en casa. La estancia en el Hotel Santa Chiara supero ampliamente nuestras expectativas y no dudaría en recomendar a mis conocidos este Hotel.

We are travelling mother and son, a twin room was provided with able space for getting dress, with excellent coffee making facilities. This hotel is luxury in every aspect. The shower is a rain shower with more than enough room to spend a whole day enjoying just the bathroom. There was a separate dressing area. One minor recommendation, there is no full length mirror for getting dressed. We know ladies love a twirl. The rooms were modern whilst elegant. Ample plugs and lighting. Breakfast was ample even for a continental. You can fill up toast pastries. We took cookies back to the room for post exploring tea and coffee. Everything is ordered to the table. The service was excellent from the youngest team members. Only one day when the younger lady and younger gent wasn’t serving we found the older chap in the restaurant staff didn’t listen to a word we say. We got almost nothing we asked for. We have two minor dietary, mother cant have orange and I cannot have dairy. We got both served to us despite a long detailed outlay. So be precious if you have any intolerances. I asked specifically for soya milk and got dairy. Each other time it was great, the young man so professional and the young lady so friendly. Having booked through a travel agent as a package I am still shocked how affordable the hotel is. Watching hundreds of tourists scramble luggage on vaparetto and bridges the fact you arrive off the bus into the hotel and on an evening can have a more peaceful walk. Plus no matter where you’re exploring all the stops are at your fingertips. The staff from top to bottom are friendly and clearly well trained. Some of the highest caliber staff in the city, would put any of the bog brass 5* hotels up for competition.

Departure41997859098 (10/5): Perfect Location, Stunning Views & Wonderful Service - We were absolutely blown away by the most ideal location of Hotel Santa Chiara. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from Venice Santa Lucia railway station and right in Piazzale Roma, which made arriving and departing completely stress-free — especially with young children. The transport connections couldn’t be more convenient. The People Mover, bus terminal, water taxis, and vaporetti are all just steps away. It’s also perfectly positioned for walking into the centre of Venice, making everything feel easy and accessible. Our room was perfect — spacious, spotless, beautiful, and extremely comfortable. We had stunning views over the Rio Novo and Piazzale Roma, which made our stay feel even more special. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathroom was fantastic with great amenities. The staff were truly wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. They even arranged a visit to a Murano glass factory on our behalf, which was a fantastic experience and much appreciated. Breakfast each morning was delightful, with fabulous views towards the Grand Canal. The selection was excellent, and the fruit, granola, and yoghurt quickly became our family favourite — the perfect start to each day. We had wanted to visit Venice for so many years, and staying here made our trip truly delightful from beginning to end. We’re so glad we chose this hotel — it exceeded our expectations in every way. Overall, Hotel Santa Chiara offers the perfect combination of location, comfort, and friendly service. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Venice and would be very happy to recommend this hotel to others.

We were surprised that the windows were very sound proof and we did not hear any noise at all from Piazzale Roma. We appreciated the staff arranging the water taxi for us and their kindness during a difficult time in our family. I am Venetian and know the city well. This hotel was very convenient for us for what we needed to do during this particular trip to Venice. The curtains in the room did not close all the way so there was light coming into the room and since the room was facing the buses and on the first floor it felt very exposed. The shower gel was empty and when it was refilled the dispenser was not working properly so we could not get any soap out. These are things that can easily be fixed and should not be a reason to not choose this hotel.

Para quienes conocemos los problemas de Venecia para alojarse, este es el mejor. Práctico, el taxi llega a la puerta, no tienes que caminar por callejuelas y puentes con tus maletas. El frente del hotel da a « piazzale Roma » donde estan todos los taxis y líneas de buses que precises incluso para el oulet de Venecia y para el aeropuerto y el fondo del hotel da para el agua, zona « traguetos» a pasos puedes tomar uno que te transporta hacia cualquier parte de la ciudad. A pie 30 minutos llegas a « Piazza San Marcos » mientras te paseas por las callejuelas mas concurridas, con boutiques hermosas. La ubicación de este hotel es estratégica, la mejor en Venecia. Nuestra habitación daba para el puente donde ingresan todas las personas a Venecia que entran a pie cargando maletas…y hacia el otro lado el agua, veíamos las barcas salir y entrar desde la cama, hermoso. Excelente personal de recepción, me acogieron siendo que mi carta de crédito no funciono por razones de seguridad y siendo fin de semana debimos esperar al lunes a resolverlo. Esto habla muy bien del hotel, tiene flexibilidad y consiguió resolver con un deposito que ellos recibieron incluso posterior a mi partida. Gracias Santa Chiara nuestra estadía fue hermosa! Volvemos sin dudar. No hay restaurante para almorzar o cenar. Igualmente habiendo tantos lugares y estando en plena Venecia es muy agradable descubrir nuevos lugares así que esta ausencia no es importante. El desayuno es a la carta, no hay bufete pero es bueno, como en todo siempre se puede mejorar la calidad. El personal del desayuno muy servicial, la chica que nos atendió eficiente y encantadora, hablan varias lenguas. Cobertores: deben revisar se precisan mejores cobertores para dormir, son muy finitos.

L’applicazione della penale di una notte per aver cancellato una camera singola per una persona impossibilitata a partecipare: non ritengo che una struttura con 4 stelle debba attaccarsi a queste cose per fare business. EVANGELOS (3/5): Απαράδεκτο πρωινό, απάτη. Για να φας πρέπει να πληρώσεις 30 ευρω . - Το ξενοδοχειο μας εξαπάτησε. Ενω έλεγε περιλαμβάνει πρωινό, το πρωινό δεν ειναι μπουφές. Όταν πας το πρωι για φαγητό σου λέει δίνουμε το continental το οποίο δεν εχει αυγά δεν εχει σαλάμι ούτε κασέρι. Αν θες το φουλ πρωινό έξτρα χρέωση 30 ευρω το άτομο. Έπρεπε να το αναφέρουν στο booking και να το αναγράφει. Είναι ανεπίτρεπτο όταν πληρώνεις 250 ευρω την βραδιά να σου έχουν τέτοιο πρωινό. Απάτη. Το πρωινό τους έπρεπε να ειναι πολυ καλλιτερο και όχι σαν να ειναι 2 αστέρων. Ακόμη και αυτά προσφέρουν πολυ περισσότερα χωρίς έξτρα λεφτά. Απαράδεκτοι., σίγουρα δεν θα ξαναμεινω σε αυτό.

Quarto grande, banheiro com ducha forte, cama super confortável, silencioso, vista linda. Hotel longe da piazza San Marco, mas ao lado de uma estação do vaporetto. Não tem nenhuma opção de serviço da cozinha à noite.

Kaffeemaschine, Minibar, neue Hand- und Badetücher), in der Nacht hört man aber die Vaporettos relativ gut. Im TV hatte man nur italienische Sender zur Verfügung. Im digitalen Zeitalter und in einem hochfrequentierten Touristenort sollte es doch möglich sein, auch andere europäische Sender anbieten zu können.

Katharina (8/5): Wir waren mit der guten Qualität des Hotels sehr zufrieden. - Das Personal an der Rezeption war ausserordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers ist grosszügig und geschmacksvoll. Das Badezimmer mit Dusche ist ebenfalls praktisch. Den Preis für das Frühstück finden wir unangemessen hoch. Die Lage des Hotels in der Nähe des Bahnhofs ist grundsätzlich gut, jedoch etwas lärmig. Z.B. hörte man morgens um 5 Uhr die Wischmaschine, die auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel ihre Runden drehte. Unser Zimmer lag Richtung Busstation. Auf dieser Seite befindet sich der zum Haus gehörige Kompressor. Dieser lief auch in der Nacht häufig. Deshalb konnten wir das Fenster nicht öffnen, was vor allem für den Sommer wichtig wäre.

Cruiser64950354845 (2/5): Worst experience - Earlier this morning, while we were at Piazzale Roma trying to get a taxi to catch our flight, there were no taxis available and we were becoming increasingly anxious. In desperation, I approached the reception desk at Hotel Santa Chiara and politely asked if they could please call a taxi for us. The receptionist responded simply with “No,” without any explanation or attempt to assist. I turned around and left immediately. While we were not guests of the hotel, we were in a stressful situation and only asked for help making a phone call. Unfortunately, the response we received felt unhelpful and lacking basic hospitality. It left us with a very disappointing impression of Italy and Venice. At that moment, it was simply a matter of basic human kindness.
