- Wesley (7/5): - The staff was fantastic and the location was incredible. The rooms are a bit small
- Helen (9/5): Good base for our Tokyo adventure - Great location with some walkable sites, the metro across the road and plenty of places to eat on the doorstep. Nice bar / friendly bar staff - good place for a couple of reasonably priced drinks after a long day out. Room size Ok and we’re travelling for seven weeks so have a bit of luggage 🧳 Didn’t try breakfast as definitely over priced compare to local options.
- Elennys (9/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): - Good location Lifts far too slow
- Paul (7/5): Very comfortable great staff rooms to small - How modern it was and very friendly people Room size was very small for two people and nowhere to put two suitcases and no real hanging space.

- Gill (9/5): - Staff were so helpful Bit expensive
- watcharakorn (6/5): - Good location The room is too small.
- Natalie (7/5): Really enjoyed, would stay there again - It was well designed, clean, well located and comfortable Our bathroom drainage was terrible. Every time the shower or bath was drained the bathroom would flood. There was also no hot water the second last night of our stay
- Thomas (6/5): Nice enough hotel - let down by front of house attitude - The hotel was "ok" and to be fair I am comparing it to other major capital cities so I dont know about tokyo. Sylish lobby. Rooms were OK - great housekeeping - and it was really central. Nice enough bar and bar staff were friendly. There is no porter on arrival - and the face of the hotel....the reception staff were...I dunno...just a bit stressed and miserable. There was one guy..manager I think - wondering around in a casual suit longish dark hair no name tag so I couldnt say - liked to look the part but very innefective. My feedback to the owners would be to send in some scouts to just see how poor the front of house set-up is and then train the staff - starting with the supervisor / manager at the front
- Vikas (3/5): Misinformed. Cramped rooms - Breakfast was good and the ambience of the restaurant was decent. Rooms were tiny and cramped but a bit musty. On the day of checkout, there was no place to deposit luggage even for a few hours. They informed of their inability only at check in. Would have booked another hotel if told in advance

- Michelle (3/5): Very dark corridors that look like a murder scene and when you have small rooms, why would it be decorated in very dark - Breakfast ok Possibly the worst decorated room I have ever stayed

- fatma evren (9/5): -

- Steffi (9/5): Centrally located, clean and neat place - The hotel is centrally located and is just a 5 min walk to the main Ginza shopping area. Right opposite is the little underground boulevard with tonnes of bars and restaurants. The room is well decorated and clean. The staff is really courteous too, there's a smoking room and gym on the 3rd floor which is convenient for smokers since you can't smoke in most public places in Japan. They give you pajamas and since we were travelling with our child they gave a kid size pajamas to my child, too. She was thrilled. They also had a coffee machine in the room which was such a nice touch especially when you're on holiday. The rooms could have been a little larger and I wish there was a cupboard to store things, we had to leave all our shopping stuff in bags on the floor and it got a tad bit messy due to that.

- Atsumi (6/5): -
- V (6/5): Too dark - Good location, clean room The room had a weird smell of plastic and rubber like it was just refurbished. Which would be ironic since the choice of black as the main colour scheme for the room makes it appear more like a dingy 1980s boutique hotel than a comfortable business hotel. As a result of the colour, the room also appeared really dark, with insufficient ceiling light and claustrophobic design.
- philipt341 (8/5): A GREAT LOCATION - Exceptional service from the hotel staff, complementing a great location to get around. Nothing is an issue when asking for advice or recommendations close by.
- Stephanie (8/5): -
- Ming Ho Edwin (6/5): - Great and convenient location.
- Joshua (8/5): A lovely new hotel, great staff and breakfast. - An excellent hotel - clean, new, modern, comfortable and with excellent staff who will go out of their way to help you. We picked this as our first base on our trip in Japan and weren't disappointed.
The bed was extremely comfortable - we wanted to buy the duvet to take home it was that good. The room was on the smaller side but this is normal for Japan.
We had breakfast included. It was a wonderful set up: half buffet/half menu. You got all the buffet options plus one choice from a small menu (I mostly went for the omelet). Very happy with the breakfast quality as well as the breakfast room itself - such a nice outlook. And the staff were just so so good here.
We loved this area. It was our first time to Japan. It didn't feel touristy - a lot of the time we were walking with all the businessmen and women, and eating at restaurants with locals. Great transport options. Can't wait to return to this location and hotel. I wanted to open a window, but no option to do so. No natural ventilation for the room so it felt stuffy/suffocating at times. One night we were woken up by a foul sulphuric odour coming from the airconditioner ventilation (?) But that was a one-off, it didn't happen again.
- V2019KUsumits (10/5): Location, overall hotel, room and staff…10/10 will be back for sure - We were a group of 10 ranging between 50, 16,14 and 1 year olds and stayed at Mercure hibiya for 6 nights.
Firstly, about the hotel itself…
Location: can’t be better away from Shibuya, we were always scared are we going to be too far away from lively Tokyo? We were sooooo wrong…the hotel is 2 min walk from a station which is very well connected which was such a relief. Also just outside the hotel under the train lines the entire area is buzzing with izakayas and amazing Resturant’s, 5mins walk and there are night clubs…5mins walk is Ginza…which is better than champs Elysis in Paris…
Seven eleven right outside, Lawson 1min walk on right, Lawsons a further miniute walk…
10/10 for location
Hotel: can’t ask for more comfortable hotel…it was beautiful and very comfortable…the restaurant and bar were awesome…the cocktails…amazing. The hotel also had a special offering…kids under 6 eat free at buffet(even when parents not taking buffet) which was so special and sweet…never seen this anywhere before.
Umbrellas freely available.
They also accommodated all four rooms next to one another
10/10
Rooms
A bit small as compared to hotels we stayed at Osaka and Kyoto so we were scared…but they are designed in a way that the entire length of window has this area under where ur suitcase can be kept open…life saver!!! Rooms were pretty comfortable and everything u needed was provided for. Ice service in the room…thank you.
9/10
Staff:
I always believe that you can see a great looking hotel and love it…but that is not what will make u wanna go there again…it’s the people…the staff. KIRREN AND ANKIT were very very accommodating…with our large group we were also carrying large group problems..and these guys just took care of everything with a smile. They were part of our holiday being a very memorable one..and a big reason we can’t wait to be back to Japan and back to the same hotel…
11/10
According to me and my family…we couldn’t have had a better hotel…
- Coastal63951043956 (2/5): HORRIBLE PLEASE AVOID - Besides Adnan at the checkout and the western bartender the rest of the hotel staff especially at the front desk and restaurant are simply pathetic and probably the most ill mannered people iv met in all my travels. They are impolite and mostly sport a stare in lieu of a smile. The rooms are horribly small and so is the bathroom. The guy at front desk was concerned as to why was I redeeming my points as he remarked most guests from India burn points which came as shock to me as it sounded ridiculously rude and racist.Never again…!!!
- Maureen (9/5): Perfect location, modern and clean, great breakfast - Loved my stay here for a total of 5 nights and I got my bags stored here whilst I had a weekend trip, the staff was excellent and provided me with some mini-bars free of charge due to my return/long stay. The room was always clean and the bed was nice. The TV was great and the breakfast was superb, everything it was well decorated from the renovation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
The location to shimbashi station was phenomenal, I’ve been to Japan so many times, but this has become my new favourite area to stay, it provides one of the best access to all parts of tokyo. The room size is on the smaller side, if I was couple or a family, I would struggle staying in the room with a few luggage, there isn't much walk-in space and the bathroom is very small. You’re better off to get a double bed rather than twins if you want better space for your luggage. It does the job and everything is in accordance to the description, so nothing to complain. Thank you for the hospitality.
- bronwen (10/5): - Lovely hotel, outside eating if want, wonderful stay and staff
- Saher (10/5): - Great location, close to restaurants, shops and transportation.
- Eddie (8/5): - Overall good. But no late bar....
- Maureen (8/5): -
- Wah hoon (3/5): Tried and will not be back - Nice duvet covers and smart tv accessing to many entertainment channels Bad service at reception area, the supervisor is rude, room too dark, pillows too soft, breakfast selection is lousy but the staffs at the restaurant area are nice.
- bestbites26 (10/5): Wonderful hotel - This hotel was situated near the Gina line which connected to everything. The rooms were minimal but very comfortable and immaculately maintained. The staff was friendly helpful and professional. I would recommend this hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent and offered you Asian delights as well as basic breakfast foods.
- gypsy_jane (8/5): Great location, great accommodation - Currently staying at Mercure in Tokyo Hibiya. Impressive hotel entrance and friendly welcoming. We received a free upgrade as we have Accor Plus membership. The rooms are all the same size (22 square meters) just different bedding configurations. A couple of bigger rooms available which are double the size and include a lounge area. Our superior room was adequate for our travel needs. Bathroom small and looks refurbished but again it was adequate for our hygiene needs. Have to step into the bath to use a shower however rails to hold onto if concerned about falling. Hallway very dark but room okay during day with blinds open. No room service but plenty of food within walking distance. Fancy restaurant/bar situated in basement. Close to train/subway, major shops, street food, restaurants, Imperial Palace etc. Bed comfortable and minimal outside noise heard from room. You do hear the trains however as it’s right next to train line. This didn’t bother us as we live beneath a flight path back home in Australia so used to noise pollution. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Tokyo.
- Holly_2tubbycats (10/5): Loved my visit, highly recommended to stay. Luxury room and wonderful staff. Will be back. - Loved every aspect of my stay.
Staff so helpful and friendly.
Yumi was an absolute delight, so warm friendly and helpful.
Room was so clean and a great size. Bed was so comfy and warm, I miss it already!
Mini fridge with water and a selection of drinks with a kind welcome gift, I felt very valued.
Great size bathroom with shower over bath and lovely soaps and products.
I loved the colours, after full days out in the hustle and bustle of the city, cool dark tones were very welcomed.
Cant wait to go back next year. Thank you again so much.
- Charlie (10/5): - I have stayed a few times and the hotel has never disappointed. Beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms.
- Traveling-oz (10/5): Great location for Ginza and travelling - This is a nice hotel in a great location. We have been to Tokyo quite a few times, and this hotel is a good option for staying close to Ginza. The location of just a 5 minute walk to Shimbashi station is very convenient for travelling around, and at the same time, it’s very quick to walk to Ginza for all the shopping and restaurants.
The room was nice and included everything you needed. Rooms are small, but that is Tokyo for you. We would stay here again, would definitely recommend it.
- Navara68 (8/5): Mercure Tokyo Hibiya - Mercure Hotel Hibiya located only 3-5 minute walk to Metro and JR Shimbashi Station. A lot of foods around the area plus very good cuisine at Le Scene hotel’s Restuarant.
Great services from front to restaurant staff in multilingual environment. As the area was theater in old time the hotel theme is Theater too just a little bit dark for us but we love the green mosaic in the bath room. Would recommend to join Accor member to get more benefit and discount at the restaurant too.
- Jorge (8/5): -
- Sara (10/5): -
- Tony (10/5): - Great place to stay. Staff wonderful. Only slight criticism is lack of storage space …
- Margret Maria (6/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Frances Anne (9/5): - The area is wonderful, plus the presence of convenient stores and restaurants in the area are a short walking distance from the hotel, and train stations within the vicinity of the hotel. Breakfast options.
