- Richard (10/5): - Excellent hotel-small, quaint with an amazingly attentive staff adjacent to high-end shopping and steps from the Eiffel Tower.
- Jane (6/5): Watch out for the young angry bar man! - The young barman was more concerned with escaping from the bar and having a vape across the road than serving guests. He was extremely rude when it was pointed out we had been waiting 20 minutes to be served on terrace. Challenged and laughed out loud at that suggestion - which was true. Wrong person to be working in such a prestige environment. So disappointing.
- Jane (6/5): Disappointing. - The young barman was extremely rude and unhelpful during our stay on Sunday 20th July. On our pre-paid return visit on Saturday 2nd August we were very disappointed with the condition of our room. It smelt of cigar smoke when we arrived and later smelt of dampness. There were greasy ‘forehead’ marks on the windows and a full strip of ‘Advil’ tablets on the floor by the curtain! Not acceptable standard for this overprice accommodation.

Also the bedsheets felt damp and were clearly dirty with stains on sheets. Perhaps blood. Leaky shower head. Broken mirror and light switch in bathroom. No bottle opener for mini bar amenities. Was given a a bad attitude when asked for bottle opener. Poor breakfast. Location is not even that great. Was extremely happy to leave Hotel Montaigne and never going back. Bon voyage
- Casey (6/5): Nice hotel & great area, but service was just OK - This hotel is nice and in a great area. Unfortunately the room we booked wasn't what we expected in terms of the number of people it could accommodate. It was quite a hassle to move rooms, and the hotel staff didn't know their own floor plan so they kept moving us to rooms that also could not accommodate rollaway beds (this literally happened twice). Also, the AC didn't work in two rooms we tried (on a 100+ degree day). Lots of issues but the staff ended up meeting our needs. They weren't overly friendly about it, though. I don't think I would go back.

- David (6/5): - Good but very expensive hotel. Quiet room. Limited number of channels on TV (no Dutch/Belgian channels). Shower gel (not soap) was missing in bath room, I would expect that to be there for a 5-star hotel. Room was pretty dark due to small window.
- Stefan (4/5): Good location - poor staff attitude - Came to stay for a night to celebrate a birthday in Paris. Location is great and the hotel provided a flower bouquet in the room as I indicated we were there on a birthday trip before arrival, which was much appreciated. However, when we came back to the hotel on the day (admittedly late) the hotel seemed understaffed. On the question whether I could get a second pillow I was told the hotel was booked out and there were no more pillows. A lie, as it turned out the next day but my sleep was of course already ruined. When I called to have a second room key brought up to the room I received the reply: "do you really need it now"? I didn't get it until the next morning when I went down to reception and asked for it again. The next morning, I also had to find out there was no hair dryer in the room and had to call twice to receive one. This is a boutique hotel. Our room was very small, there is no gym or pool. None of this would be too much of a problem but the one thing a boutique hotel should excel in in my view is how the staff look after their guests. In this regard, we were very disappointed.

There is one person in front desk handling everything from Check-in to Concierge services and even carrying suitcases!! This hotel should have two stars at most!!

- Pauline (2/5): Awful hotel - Dreadful hotel. Extremely disorganised staff. It was the only place we used our (new) credit card. One day after using it to check in, fraudulent transactions were made (to a local company). The hotel failed to reply to our emails and refused to answer any questions about security of our personal information. We travel a lot and have never experienced this issue with any other hotel. Would not recommend a stay here.

- June (10/5): Excellent location. - Hotel stuff was very friendly and helful. The bathroom was very clean but it was not very comfortable. Not having a border between shower and toilet we could not use toilet after showing, floor was so wet !
- Verified traveler (8/5): 4 Star hotel in a Great Location - No question about the location, its close to everywhere you want to go. The hotel itself is a 4 star hotel and its very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and speaks english. The only problems I see with the hotel is that they do not have showers in all rooms. Some of the rooms come with tubes only which was a problem for me. I actually went downstairs and made a big deal out of it and they changed my room to one with a shower. Wifi doesn't work all that well downstairs in the lobby but over all is manageable. If the price is right for you, its a nice little hotel to go to.

- David (10/5): Paris, close to shopping district - we loved our stay at hotel Montaigne. It was within walking distance to all the shopping you could ever want. Also we were able to walk to the Eiffel tower, the Arc de Triompe, the concord. If you do not want to walk, the subway is a block away, and we were able to navigate throughout all of Paris. Close to everything, and overall very pleased with our trip.

We reported the problem to reception twice but they did not get back to us. Customer service was disappointing and small details were overlooked. For example there was a minibar but no bottle opener. Be sure to lock your suitcases because they have dishonest housekeepers. 4 things were stolen from my luggage and the Hotel Manager has ignored my complaint and it has been over a month and still no response from them. Also, check your invoice when checking out because they add Mini Bar Service to your bill even when we told them we didn't open their Mini refrigerator.

- Janet (6/5): Great hotel with terrible service - Beautiful hotel with terrible service. What a shame! We were so excited to find this quaint hotel on a great street. The location is perfect for seeing the Paris sights. While our room was comfortable and beautiful, the staff was absolutely rude. We asked for some help finding city tours and the front desk girl/ concierge said she didn't know of any. The equally rude bartender took forever to bring us a very expensive drink. Paying these kind of prices anywhere else always gets helpful, gracious service. Paying these prices to be ignored and insulted is ridiculous. Spend your money somewhere else.

Small restaurant at bottom food was about a 7.5 as well... The internet was a total joke, I heard a customer downstairs saying it had not worked all week. Other than that it's pretty clean and the bathrooms and interior room lighting was very pleasant. If you want to spend around $600 to $700 a night this is your place... If you want to spend more choose another hotel... Not a hotel for children.. Best of luck!!!

- Mark (6/5): 5 star location - 2 star service - The Hotel Montaigne is located right in the heart of an amazing shopping district. We had a Jr. Suite that was very comfortable. The problem was the staff was just not up to par. Getting drinks at the bar required multiple requests. We gave up on getting a check and finally just went to the front desk and told them to charge our room. When you're paying the crazy prices they charge ($30 per standard cocktail), I expect service perfection.
- Robin (10/5): Gem of a hotel! - This Paris hotel is a gem! - Fantastic location, wonderful neighborhood, and fabulous boutique hotel. The hotel is completely up-to-date with modem, but stylish details. The room decor is the equivalent of a stateroom on a 100 foot plus yacht. Every detail has been well thought out. The bathroom is huge (by Paris standards) with a tub and separate shower - It was gorgeous with its beautiful creamy neutral onyx slab walls and black granite floors. There is also a quaint bar and restaurant that are very lively every evening. I have stayed at the top hotels in Paris, but will definitely return to the Hotel Montaigne next trip. I highly suggest this hotel for a single or couple looking for a small stylish hotel in Paris.
- halla (10/5): Great location in the center - Wow what a great hotel located in the best area in Paris 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and the champs élysées . The hotel is very modern, clean and has all the ammeneties needed. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff are very helpful and eager to do anything to make your stay comfortable. I will recommend this hotel to all.
