- Leo (6/5): Grundsätzlich gut, aber Vorsicht mit dem zugeordneten Zimmerstandard. - Die Lage, das kaiserliche Buffet-Frühstück. Kein Onsen, keine Sitzmöglichkeiten in der riesigen Lobby zum Warten und um Personen zu empfangen, aber besonders die Zuordnung eines nicht vertragsmäßigen Zimmers. Obwohl für 4 erwachsene Personen gebucht, war das zugeordnete Zimmer grundsätzlich für 2 Personen: das Zimmer war fast unzugänglich weil ein Notbett als 4. Bett vor der Eingangstür hingestellt worden war, und das 3. Bett war anstelle des Sofas hingestellt worden ohne Nachttisch und -licht; nur Drohungen an der Rezeption (mit dem Generaldirektor) haben eine Maßnahme bewirkt (Umzug in ein vertragsmäßiges Zimmer).

- ritchy991 (2/5): I as InCompetent not InterContinental - We arrived at the hotel after being informed that, due to electrical inspection the hotel is closed the day before and can only checkin at 3pm on 9 May. Arriving at 3:15pm in lobby with more than 200 people queuing for checkin. Disaster. As a Diamond member with lounge pass, we went to the club lounge floor. When reaching lift landing area, queue was already there and had difficulties to step in the floor. Families and senior clients were left there, no air con operates, so discomfort, and that was just the beginning of the journey. It took 1hrs 15 minutes to get the key of the room, considering the hotel was closed last night, don’t tell me the room was not available. After 30 minutes we were seated in the lounge sharing a big table with other guests. It took 30 minutes to get an ice latte and a tea! Another 15 minutes for an afternoon tea set. And guests around us, who arrived before us, questioning the service about their treat not received ? Other people queuing, including a lady with canes, the staff didn’t pay attention to her and I went to offer te seat available in front of me. Do you think that the staff could offer her a seat and not me, a guest? I felt so embarrassed and you, so Incompetent!!! We came back for evening cocktail. Wowwww not better… queued for 45 minutes, clients cutting the line and went to sit directly and recognized as regular by the staff. After 20 minutes, a staff came with some refreshments but when reach our turn, the tray was empty and the staff never came back! So just feel like I’m not welcome. When finally got a table, had to wait for a while before being served, canapé area half empty. What an experience. I can’t imagine how breakfast will be tomorrow… Mr Clive Murray, as a General Manager of this property, how do you allow this to happen? It seems that nothing was anticipated, the staff was clearly not enough and not prepared to handle an expected busy Saturday afternoon. Is that the InterContinental hospitality you are providing or do I need to rephrase as InCompetent hospitality leader! I stayed with Holiday Inn Kyoto, Indigo Hakone and Karuizawa, Crown Plaza Hiroshima, and InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8, and they all performed a better hospitality service that what you did. Shame on you!

Convenient location, a few steps from the subway station. 4 pieces of underwear from my pre-teen daughter “disappeared” while we stayed there. It happened on the third day. We complained to the manager on duty as the desk. They said “no it’s not possible, our staff would not do that”. I know exactly what I packed, and the first days no issues. But then 4 pieces disappeared. I looked into this and… it’s a thing in Japan, stolen underwear. But I did not expect this to happen at the Intercontinental. That’s disgusting.

- izabelphilippa (10/5): Great Stay with Amazing Views and Dining - We had a really nice stay at ANA InterContinental Tokyo in the Tsuki Suite. The room was very comfortable, clean, and had great views of the city. Having club lounge access was a big plus — we could choose between breakfast in the lounge (around the 35th floor) or the main buffet. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea and other lounge benefits. We tried the pop-up “Le Petit Chef,” which was a fun experience. We were in a private room with a view of Tokyo Tower, and the food and service were both great. We also ate at Unkai, which had a beautiful garden and pond view, and at Teppanyaki Akasaka with views of Tokyo Tower — both were really good. Overall, a great stay in a good location. Would definitely recommend.
- happy1397 (6/5): CLUB ...needs to be BETTER - We stayed Club for 8 nights in total, and overall the Club was good BUT there was *definitely room for improvement*. The breakfast was good BUT not great. The evening food was the same. The Club lounge was FULL. This is the busiest Club lounge we have been too in the world. In Club ttere was a French waiter serving ..I think his name is Raphael. One night after waiting 15 minutes for a drink I approached the bar to re order and he was cross and told me to be patient. I found this embarrassing and rude :(. And I would have thought a French waiter with many years experience under his belt would have been able to handle being under pressure. As a guest I did not appreciate being spoken to this way. There was also an argument between 2 American guests whilst I was staying here, over children running around the lounge, which again was embarrassing to witness and to be honest I was suprised to see young children running around in Club. It is unacceptable. And Staff should have addressed this. There also needs to be a dress code in this club as despite some people dressing appropriately...some people dressed in attire they simple was disrespectful to others. Scruffy shorts with T shirts with dirty sandals in the club lounge in the evening is NOT acceptable..

I keep coming back because of the amazing staff, great location and fantastic hotel. The club lounge is by far the best Intercontinental Club Lounge. Raphaël in the Club Lounge made our stay so memorable. Arrigato Raphaël for the great hospitality!!

Clean, comfortable suites with soft feather pillows, robes, slippers, tea and coffee making facilities and luxury toiletries. Included with the suites is access to the club lounge which provides a plentiful breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapés. The staff of the club lounge are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I’d like to give a special mention to Yasuyo, who is such a lovely lady, it was always a pleasure to chat to her. She is a credit to the company. I’d also like to mention Raphael. We have stayed at this hotel three times now and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It really is a pleasure to stay here. We can’t wait to return.

Weirdly the only had a men’s sauna and no steam or sauna facilities for women? Which I found odd for a hotel of its class.

Impressive accommodations for comfortable, quiet, relaxing and luxurious family travel. Rooms are small but effective use of space and meticulously maintained. Great view of Tokyo Tower. Suitable accommodations for all ages.
- Taps89 (9/5): Great comfortable stay - The room was lovely. The location was perfect, 1 minute walk from the subway which has one train to all the hot spots. A small shopping centre next to the hotel which has some food places. 7/11 a short walk away. We were able to store our luggages' with the hotel when we went to Kyoto for a few days, as we were re-staying on our return to Tokyo. The service and the hotel overall was great and I would stay again. Beds were very firm. They really need to dust under the bedside tables, not nice if you drop something on the floor and when you go to pick it up its very dusty under there. They need to take care in their menu items, i.e. they wrote vegetarian next to fries, but they actually fry it in the same oil as meat. One day room service did not clean the room all day even though it was requested. On checkout we waited 30 minute for help with the luggages, and our taxi was waiting. When we were their for 6 nights, every night I had to request extra towels as there were 3 people in our room, and they kept making the room for 2 people.

- colotravet (2/5): Disappointing. Poor management. - Disappointing… Service is awful. Definitely not 5 or 4 star in operation. Day 2 into a 3 night stay. Room 1221 4/4 to 4/7 1) Was told by IHG that my diamond elite status would give me access to the club lounge. It had before at other locations. Spoke to Sean on check in, the acting manager. He repeatedly said there was no record of it, so it never happened. Oh it did happen. Way to go for accusing your guest of lying. This is the second time IHG has falsely promised something they later wouldn’t deliver this year. I booked this hotel over other high end hotels in Tokyo due to being offered complimentary club access. 2) I asked Sean to have manager Kentaro Shomano contact me the next day after I slept. Crickets…tonight will be our last night and zero follow up. 3) Restaurant is supposed to be open until 10pm. We arrived at 930pm to get a quick snack. They wouldn’t serve us as they “close at 10pm.” Therefore, they really close at 9pm. Lady at front, too busy doing admin stuff to even look up, said to call room service. 4) Room service. At 950pm, I called room service. Rang unanswered. Tried two more times and gave up at 1010pm and went to bed hungry. 5) Breakfast was awesome. It’s a shame the rest of the hotel and its management doesn’t meet the same standard. Won’t be using IHG again and cancelled my next reservation. If you’re ok paying 5 star prices at Holiday Inn standards then stay here,
- Eray (8/5): Great location and amenities - Great location, amazing breakfast, great gym for a hotel. Every staff member we interacted with was amazing. Easy metro access. The room was a decent size for Tokyo. They were very helpful with luggage storage. Not a deal breaker or even a major issue but the facility is starting to show its age a little bit. Not the latest and greatest but an overall high-quality and reliable hotel.

From the moment we arrived, both Sarah and Kanan went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. Breakfast service was seamless and thoughtful, and they handled our family’s dietary restrictions with such grace and attentiveness — never making us feel like it was an inconvenience. They even took care of holding our luggage when we needed it most, making our departure day so much smoother. What stood out most was their warmth and genuine care. Both were impeccably polite and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay — always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. It’s rare to encounter hospitality professionals who make you feel so genuinely looked after. If you’re considering Club Level at the ANA InterContinental, know that you’re in wonderful hands. Sarah and Kanan are a true reflection of the exceptional service this hotel is known for. We hope to be back soon!

- 569RickJ (10/5): An unforgettable experience created by a World Class staff in Tokyo - This property is in a prime location for Tokyo tourist sightseeing. I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife as a tourist. I am an Ambassador member and I booked a club lounge room where I spent nearly all of my time when not in the room or out on the town. Consequently, the Club Lounge and the staff were of the utmost importance during my stay. The property itself is in excellent shape, I had stayed here in the mid 90's for business and although the venue is 40 years old, management has ensured it is well maintained and I found it in 5 star condition. The Club Lounge itself (which is where I spent most of my time) is in excellent condition, has a great view of Roppongi, great seating arrangements (tables, high tops and lounge chairs) along with an ample size buffet (the food was excellent). The key brand attribute I look for in an Intercontinental property is "local immersion with global luxury" along with a World Class staff to realize local experiences. The Intercontinental Club Lounge staff did not disappoint me. The entire organization managed by Rinna Kato displays a "Culture of Excellence" that I've grown to expect from this brand. From top to bottom, the team displayed a passion to serve and genuinely tried to connect me with the local culture and experiences I craved during my stay. Having said this, there are a few special service leaders that made an impression on me worth mentioning: 1) Hiromi Nagano: Hiromi-san was the MVP of my visit, personally connecting me with 5 days of local experiences I will never forget. At least 2 of these were "off the map" and I never would have done them without her recommendations and were 2 of the highlights of my trip. Over the course of my stay she became my personal and trusted consultant and handled all of my needs ranging from sightseeing, travel logistics, room cleaning, meal arrangements and more. 2) Yasuyao Shimada: This exceptional service leader leads by example, embodying the brand and bringing deep service expertise to every interaction. She made my wife and I feel like VIP's during our trip and was truly a pleasure to see each day. She is the heartbeat of the organization, setting the pace for the team and leading by example. 3) Fumika Tachibana: This young service professional checked me in upon arrival at the property. Her passion to serve, introduce me to local experiences, get me grounded on the property with a drink/meal upon entering the club and getting me to my room smoothly were handled in the most professional and capable manner. 4) Rafael: Rafael works the Club Lounge in the evenings and provided important ideas for dinings and activities. Very personable and a great service professional. 5) Renalyn Takano: This service leader handled the evening happy hour during my stay. She is excellent at what she does. Her "million dollar smile" and boundless energy lights up the room. My energy level and mood was raised each time I saw her, absolutely delightful! 6) Saki, Moeka, Amellia, Janet: Brilliant service professionals who lit up the room each time they took care of me. Shining smiles, lovely disposition, passionate about serving me. Each of them were absolutely wonderful and I won't forget the shining smiles! 7) Last but not least I must mention the World Class Concierge team at the Intercontinental. This position is truly the most important in the organization and is the key driver of my loyalty to this brand/organization. On this visit, Hitomi Yamazaki was a huge difference maker. Fine tuning the details of some of activities and arranging a very spectacular meal in a nearby high rise. Thank you to all of the Service Professionals at this wonderful property, my wife and I will be back to see you and look forward to seeing you. - iliketofly (10/5): Service is above and beyond - Travel is never without its hurdles. But it's how they're overcome that matters. Things didn't go so smoothly for me on the day that I checked in at the ANA (it was long day starting with over two hours of self-driving a rental in Hokkaido, my flight being cancelled, 100 person-long queues for check in for a new flight, getting to the hotel quite late and being disappointed with my less than amazing room after booking and paying early as a diamond IHG member, you get the picture...). The main thing is that when I needed to escalate matters, Raphael of the ANA Intercontinental went above and well beyond to make me feel like a valued customer. I've stayed at the ANA with my family on several occasions. The location is great, rooms are lovely and the Club Lounge is very much worth the additional investment. Importantly, the team work hard to make you feel like you matter. Thanks especially to Raphael for turning my day around and Keiko for helping out so much with my missing luggage! I loved my stay.

- eltravelnotations (2/5): Poor Air - The hotel’s higher floors (21 and up) currently have no air conditioning so the rooms are quite warm and stuffy. It’s scheduled to be out for almost a week. They offer a portable a/c unit but it’s run with water which makes the room incredibly humid and doesn’t cool down the room enough at the same time. Your comfort depends on how you feel about this. When asked they immediately did offer to move us to lower (lower-priced) floors, but they’re still selling higher floor rooms at a minimum of ~$740 on their site, without notification of the air being out of commission. I think that’s deceptive. We were also not informed at time of check in that our room wouldn’t have a/c. We only found out once we settled in and found a note on the table after trying to turn on the unit. At this price point and for a supposedly 5-star hotel, it’s unacceptable the air doesn’t work for such a long period of time and they’re surprisingly nonapologetic about it.
