- Brian (10/5): Beautiful, stunning in the heart of Paris - Everything During our stay the fire alarm went off and woke us all up at 6am and had to evacuate. It was not ideal but the issue was quickly resolved and we were all up by 6.45am. We hope the issue was fixed and we will be coming back over and over again because Balzac is the best hotel in Paris

Location is good, some rooms are perfect (depends on room plan, very different, we stayed in junior suite which has 2 very different types of room). I believe the hotel should develop correct attitude towards loyal customers. No welcome in the room with some small bottle of wine. We faced several issues during the stay where Hotel was not correct (Example - they forgot one dish from room service order and refused to solve the issue somehow as kitchen became closed. Had to order delivery to the hotel. No excuse at all next day). I believe for such boutique hotels the approach should be much more warm and client oriented - that is what I normally see in good examples of small 5 stars hotels. Here is just okay.

- Katrina (10/5): A refined cozy excellence - It was truly a remarkable stay! A grey-haired gentleman introduced us to the hotel and was incredibly knowledgeable and kind! We had a beautiful, very Paris-like view from our room, everything was even more beautiful than in the photos & the smallest details were thought of. The lighting in the room was very cozy, for a small room that it was, we had around 5 different lamps which made the evening feel super warm and homey. The spa was open almost all the time and my husband was allowed to go to sauna after midnight which was truly incredible and nothing that we have encountered anywhere else! An amazing location on a quiet street. That we only stayed for one night

Завтрак мы не брали, ничего сказать не могу. Мини бар достаточно хороший, набор напитков широкий. Кровать относительно удобная. Отель явно не предназначен для большого потока посетителей, комната для хранения вещей относительно маленькая, но в Париже большинство отелей маленькие. Из-за того, что поток туристов большой пришлось ждать несколько часов до заселения.

They even helped organise a last-minute birthday surprise, which made our stay extra special. A huge thank you to the concierge team for going above and beyond. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

- 宜辰 (1/5): Not good - My experience on the first day of my stay was extremely disappointing. After housekeeping finished cleaning the room, their cleaning tools were left behind, there was a significant amount of hair still on the floor, and even the bathrobes were left in a messy condition. More seriously, after the room was cleaned that day, my sunglasses, which I had left inside my bag, went missing and were suspected to have been stolen. This made me feel very uneasy. I reported the issue to the front desk for several consecutive days, but the hotel never proactively updated me on the progress of their investigation and showed no real effort to resolve the matter. I had to go to the front desk every day to ask for updates, and each time I was simply told, “We couldn’t find it,” with no explanation, no apology, and no follow-up solution. If you do not want to risk losing your belongings while traveling in France and receive no proper assistance, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. With this level of service and crisis management, I do not believe it deserves a five-star rating.

- Dmitrii (1/5): - Не плохой номер Отсутствие сервиса. Если вы привыкли отдыхать в отелях с 5 звездами, то вам не сюда. Этому отелю я бы дал максимум 3. Заказывали завтрак, потеряли заказ и не принесли. Отдали вещи в стирку, принесли с бонусом ( чужими вещами). Было чуть меньше пол бутылки шампанского Кристал, куда то пропала. Если возьмете отель без завтрака, и решите спонтанно позавтракать в отеле, приготовьтесь подождать минут 40. Просили убрать номер, с третьего раза допросились. - Jennifer (7/5): Kind staff, comfortable room but a bit overpriced. - The staff were very kind. The doormen were lovely. The food was nicely prepared. The room was extremely quiet. Our room had an enormous couch, which is nice, but it took up most of the limited space. I was surprised that the carpets were so stained. There was dust hanging from the ceiling in the entryway. The shower curtain didn’t extend into the tub, so the water dripped all over the floor of the tiny space.
- Kelly (7/5): Superb hotel let down by the breakfast - The décor was lovely, the hotel was clean, and the location was superb. Aside from one unpleasant experience with a staff member at breakfast, the rest of the team were excellent — particularly a young dark-haired gentleman on the front desk, I believe named Charles. He was extremely helpful and professional, a real asset to the hotel, and certainly deserving of recognition or promotion. The pillows weren’t great. They were like inflatable airbags of which I had to release the air inside to make them comfortable. The shower tray was blocked and would quickly fill up with water and not drain. The breakfast experience was extremely disappointing overall. Day one: We weren’t given a menu and had to take one from another table. After being left waiting for around 20 minutes with no service, we had to ask what we needed to do. The server came across as rude and unhelpful. While we continued to wait, arguments from the kitchen could be clearly heard by guests. In the end, we left without eating, having waited a total of 45 minutes. It was certainly not a good start to the day. Day two: Service was much quicker and more efficient, however the breakfast itself was unfortunately stone cold. After raising our concerns, a wonderful gentleman named Charles handled the situation professionally and ensured everything was resolved.

- N (7/5): Неплохо но за эти деньги лучше жить в Costes или Grand Mazarin - Чистота ,химчистка Двери в ванной будто на пружине невозможно оставить открыто, room service не совсем хорошо работал ,лифт один и долго ждать ,и не совсем приятно при выселении написали услуги которыми мы не пользовались ,а потом вычеркнули )и еще туда приходят фотографироваться в фойе со своими рейлами с вещами люди которые не проживают в отеле и не совсем приятно наблюдать подобное

- Vinicius (5/5): - ⸻ I stayed at Le Balzac Hotel for two nights right after Christmas. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but with some clear drawbacks. The hotel is nicely decorated, with a tasteful and elegant design, and the staff members were consistently polite and friendly. That said, the rooms are very small. If you are traveling with two standard-sized suitcases, it becomes quite difficult to have both open at the same time, which impacts comfort. The breakfast experience was disappointing. The format is somewhat odd and inefficient - service takes a long time, and the options are limited. You either receive a fixed menu from Angelina or order à la carte, which is very expensive for what it offers and nothing particularly memorable. The spa also did not meet our expectations. The sauna door was not closing properly, making it hard to keep the temperature stable. No one seemed to address the issue; I temporarily fixed it using a door weight I found, but an employee later removed it, saying it was needed elsewhere. Additionally, we were unable to book a massage, as apparently only one therapist was working at the time. In summary, Le Balzac is a pleasant-looking hotel with kind staff, but the small rooms, underwhelming breakfast setup, and poorly managed spa facilities made the overall experience just okay rather than truly enjoyable.

- Steven Nik (3/5): A beautifully designed hotel with strong comfort, but let down by inconsistent service, poor communication, and a lack o - We received a room upgrade on arrival, which was appreciated. The hotel has a beautiful aesthetic and elegant interiors, creating a strong visual impression. The bed was very comfortable. Our top-floor room with a view added to the overall atmosphere of the stay. Poor pre-arrival communication, with no response to emails regarding anniversary arrangements. Lack of attention to special occasion recognition, with no meaningful anniversary gesture or follow-up during the stay. Weak check-in experience, including a very brief room tour and no explanation of lighting or air-conditioning controls. Service and detail lapses, such as a wrongly addressed welcome letter that was never corrected and missing in-room amenities (hairdryer, teaspoons, iron/steamer, toiletries). Housekeeping inconsistencies, including non-replacement of items and faulty equipment being provided. In room breakfast service issues, with missing condiments, utensils, small portions, and overall disorganisation. Poor internal communication, highlighted by late delivery of important New Year’s Eve disruption information. Comfort and practicality gaps, including a cold bathroom and very limited wardrobe space. Inconsistent service levels, with noticeably better attentiveness only at check-out. Overall, the stay lacked the service consistency, anticipation, and attention to detail expected of a Michelin-key hotel at this price point.
- Thomas (8/5): Hotel élégant et confortable près des Champs Elysées - Magnifique travail de décoration de l'hotel par les architectes d'intérieurs Parisiens, tout est du meilleur gout d'un raffinement absolu. Très chouette sélection du mini bar, lit confortables et chambre assez spatieuses. J'ai trouvé l'accueil mauvais, peut être parce que les deux comptoirs sont éloignés de l'entrée - mais on ne m'a jamais salué quand je rentrait dans le lobby et au check in comme au check out je n'ai pas trouvé le personnel très investi pour un cinq étoile. Je suis resté 4 jours quand même...Je trouve également dommage que l'eau minérale soit payante dans les chambres. Ce serait vraiment plus agréable également que le bar ferme plus tard et que le room service de nuit soit plus complet - rester dans la capitale dans un 5 étoile donne parfois envie de faire la fête et de rentrer tard à so hotel avec l'envie de boire un dernier verre à 2-3 h du matin ou de manger quelque chose qui ne soit pas le petit snack que l'on sort du réfrigérateur.

- Ekaterina (10/5): Stylish hotel in a great location - The Balzac Hotel is simply exceptional. I stayed here with my husband for a short honeymoon and the staff made our stay indeed special by upgrading us for a larger room. I loved the style of the hotel, every detail is thought-through. Gigantic bathroom, comfy bed, amazing breakfast and bar. I am really looking forward to coming back once again to enjoy this place! Very minor thing - but the floor in the shower cabin was a bit slippery which might be dangerous. But this is a really minor thing that did not affect our stay;)

- Bruno (4/5): Très décevant rapport qualité prix - Emplacement Gentillesse du staff conciergerie 25 min d'attente pour que les qq bagages arrivent en chambre Canapé lit d'appoint de la suite ayant le confort d'un lit de camp Commodités en chambre quasi inexistantes (carafe d'eau pas remplie quand vidée, tasses de café non remplacées d'un jour sur l'autre). Bref, très loin du niveau de service et de confort attendu d'un hôtel de standing à 1000+ euros la nuit.
