Quiet - a particular rarity in central London Although there seems to be good sound isolation between the rooms it's relatively easy to hear what is happening in the corridor. The room doors are heavy and self closing, which is great for security, but not so great for hearing them bang close as people arrive or depart. Only downside to the room that I noticed. The lift is a little small. If you have mobility aids you may want to check measurements to get through the door.

The location is exceptional, moments away from the energy of Soho, yet perfectly positioned on elegant street that feels wonderfully secluded from the bustle of the city. Every amenity is thoughtfully presented and contributes to an overall sense of comfort and refinement. A special mention must go to the bed and pillows - quite simply outstanding. The level of comfort rivalled that of a five-star stay, and I enjoyed one of the most restful nights I’ve had away from home. The service was equally impressive: warm, professional, and effortlessly attentive, adding a personal touch that elevates the entire experience. A truly polished and luxurious stay in an unbeatable location – I would return without hesitation.

Lucky enough to get upgraded and the room was exceptional. So much space and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were also very friendly.

Soho area was just 200 meters away. Very central location. The breakfast had limited selection considering its star. - Athmika (5/5): Decent but not value for money - It is at an excellent location in London and very close to a lot of nearby touristy spots like the British Museum. The room was extremely small and was not arranged well at all. There was a window but the bed was placed against the window hence there was no access to the window despite me receiving an email saying we have booked you "a room with a view". The light from the window was blocked by the bed. Nothing special about the room, the ceilings are way too low for a hotel and the tv is positioned too far from the bed. It felt a bit crammed. The bathroom however was really nice and spacious. The hotel room was very expensive and the premier inn close to this hotel has better rooms that too at a lower price range.

Very near Tott Ct Rd & also Goodge St. Yet it’s in a quiet cul de sac with all those lovely restaurants, cafes & unusual independent shops just on the doorstep. It would take you months to try them all. I didn’t like being charged a refundable £3 for extras without being told what constitutes “extras “. Admittedly I forgot to ask but I was surprised.

Our recent visit was after a gap of 4 years but the reception staff knew exactly what our needs were after my wife lost her sight and suffered a severe leg injury even down to installing a fridge in our room a s they were aware that we preferred cold water to drink!!! Our 5 night stay was excellent as usual.

- mackay25a (10/5): The Best! - Excellent 4 night stay in a directly booked (to get special rate) ‘Signature’ room. Slight hiccup on checking in as we were assigned a much smaller room but rapidly corrected by Vasco from management phoning me. Large ‘Signature’ room (213) is perfect in that it looked like it had been very recently refurbished. Double aspect windows and good size bathroom immaculate and spotless. Incredibly comfortable bed and extremely careful housekeeping. Breakfasts were truly generous with lots of healthy choices of fruit, berries, and seeds as well as a big range of cereals, miniature muffins, pastries etc. All the staff at reception, breakfast and housekeeping were really helpful, chatty and friendly. Location was perfect for us -2 minutes from Oxford Street, 20 minutes from Trafalgar Square and we walked to all the major galleries, even the Courtauld Gallery on the Strand and Wallace Collection. Stunning, tiny Fitzrovia Chapel is 1 minute away where we went for a small recital. Numerous restaurants on the doorstep some of which had hotel discounts or offers. Goodge Street tube station is only about 5 minutes away. So overall 5 stars for everything! Thank you Rathbone. And it’s privately owned by Carnarvon Hotels so no chain downsides.

Newly renovated Well the male staff at the desk are rude. Their behavior needs to be checked. The way they took the deposit pf 3gbp after I booked 430gbp room prepaid was non-sense.

From the moment we got in the door we had a lovely welcome from Fruja,who was so friendly and helpful.a birthday card and chocs in room as well.every single member of staff we came across was friendly and welcoming. The room was exceptional ,so comfy and clean. At breakfast it was so nice to be served your tea and toast at the table.delicious continental breakfast too. We always like to stay at the Rathbone whenever possible because ever since our first stay, the whole staff makes our stay memorable and pleasant. During our most recent stay during Easter holiday, we had another wonderful experience. As usual, our room was very clean,comfortable and quiet and we think it’s a great value when staying in London. From check in, to breakfast, to checkout, every staff member we interacted with made us feel valued and special-which is why we will always make the Rathbone our first choice when staying in London.

The bed took all the space in the room, noisy ac cannot have it on night if you intend to sleep. We paid 2,000 enough for this hotel for 7 nights. It was a big disappointment. This is no by means a 4 star hotel.

- davidpC6633PB (8/5): Solid London choice - Great location, comfortable beds and great staff. Shower and bathroom much bigger than standard London and loads of bars and restaurants on the doorstep

- Bruno (9/5): Mon adresse de prédilection à Londres - Bien situé, très propre et confortable, j'y étais allé il y a un an et j'avais beaucoup apprécié, j'y suis donc retourné sans hésiter. La déco intérieure a été refaite depuis, en plus moderne. Le personnel est aux petits soins, je n'ai jamais vu un buffet de petit déjeuner aussi soigneusement dressé ! Rien à redire

- Hall (10/5): Comfortable, clean, and in a great location. - Extremely clean hotel. I stayed in a classic double which was reasonably sized and very comfortable. The location is amazing on Rathbone right in the little nook. Nothing.
