• Susan (10/5): Excellent location, apartment and host! - This was a fabulous location and the apartment was clean and well appointed with everything necessary - plenty of dishware, linens and cleaning products - including laundry soap. The bedrooms were large enough to allow for privacy and comfort, and the living space was extremely comfortable and spacious enough for all five of us. The host was very accommodating and arranged our transport to and from the airport, connected us with a tour guide, and suggested the best luggage storage unit. This is not an apartment for very tall people. There are beams across the ceiling that make it a head-banger for someone over about 6-feet tall. They would have to do a lot of stooping over to avoid them. This is also an issue in the bedrooms with the slanted ceilings.

Es tal cual se muestra en las fotos y tiene todo lo que los huéspedes necesitan. Para quienes vieron Game of Thrones, el departamento está en el corazón del casco histórico justo sobre la “Walk of shame”, que en realidad es la escalera de los jesuitas. Talvez es un poquito molesto el vidrio en el techo del dormitorio principal, por el que entra luz directa

Lots of space. Comfortable beds. Strong musty/moldy scent upon entering for those who are sensitive to smells.

• Jukka (7/5): Jukka - Excellent location. AC was good. It was clean. Washing machine didn't work and it didn't get fixed/switched like it was promiced to us. So there was no possibility to wash our loundry during our stay. TV don't work (no cable/antenna connected at all) Quite much noise at night and early mornings. And to the end a little tip: cheese slicer would be great.
• Sonja (10/5): Can't go wrong with this apartment! - Like every review says, the location is the BEST. Center of town, steps from a small market, and right in the market square. We are a family of parents and two adult children, so the number of beds was perfect as well as the living, dining, and kitchen areas. My husband is very picky about A/C and this apartment rocked it – excellent cooling in every room. Host is super responsive to all texts and emails. But what is a great extra bonus is the supply of essentials: shampoo, bath soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish sponges, etc. Truly appreciated. The wifi was a wee bit unreliable and slow.

• Stagge (9/5): The perfect location. - This apartment is ALL about the location. You're conveniently located in the heart of Old Town, mere steps from the daily markets, the Konzum (a major plus), all three gates, loads of great food options, and the infamous "shame steps". My family of 6 comfortably stayed in the apartment and really appreciated the fridge and microwave (our 10 year old is a picky eater so bringing food home for later was great). When we come back to Dubrovnik (because we will), this is the only place we'll stay! Stairs to the apartment are not well lit and after a long day can be much. The sheets and bedding situation are ok (we know how european sleeping conditions vary from US), but could be better.

The apartment itself is really cool, well equipped, and was presented immaculately when we arrived, well air conditioned and extremely clean. It's in a fantastic location too, so central and close to everything in the old town you'd need, be it a bar, restaurant, supermarket, boat trip, walk on the walls or whatever. Check in and out was easy and very flexible. Thanks so much. Highly recommended!

• Rachael (10/5): Great views and in the heart of old town. - Location location location! You are right in the middle of everything. Easy to exit old town if doing day trips and perfect to just wander around in the evening. Restaurants and supermarket at your doorstep or can easily just roam around the stores to shop. Perfect for us. Yes there are stairs but well worth the effort.

The airport transfers were too organised for us on time and greatly appreciated. We had a fantastic stay and hope to return.
• Cesar (1/5): Scam - It has a good location, but it seems to be a scam because there are two king beds offered and there’s only one in the property. It was a complete surprise when I arrived to see that the other supposed to be king bed where two twin bed. I asked the owner what was going on and he never responded. It was a complete scam. The fact that I got scammed. I pay for two bedroom two king beds and I got one king and two twin beds. Very disappointed.
• Alison (10/5): - Lovely apartment in a good location. Within walking distance of the main tourist spots. Loads of places to eat, some located in the square outside. Two small grocery shops close by, useful for self catering. If you're a game of thrones fan the location for the walk of shame can be seen from the front door. The only thing that some people may have to keep in mind is the amount of steps up to the apartment if you have mobility issues. Yes it's a loft but we didn't realise how tall these buildings are as this was our first time in Dubrovnik. It didn't bother me but my cousin struggled as she has a knee problem. Otherwise all good, it was useful that the owner organised our airport transfers.
• Janet (10/5): - Bona Place is located in the heart of Old Town. The lovely apartment is comfortable with a sleeping loft and large bedroom. Our party had 3 guests. We had plenty of elbow room. Just outside the building is a large plaza filled with outdoor restaurants and a farmer’s market selling local produce. The harbor is a short walk from the apartment and the city gates. Jelena, the host, was wonderful. She was easy to reach and answered all our questions. I would stay at this property again!

• Jeffrey (10/5): - The location of the property doesn't get any better. Our room was on the top floor so there are some stairs to get to the top but it wasn't too bad. The AC worked great which was nice because of the heat and humidity. Shower sprayer was a little tricky and hot water ran out quick but would stay again and recommend for anyone who wants to stay in the old town.

• Jennifer (10/5): A wonderful stay in the heart of Dubrovnik! - The location was absolutely perfect. Could not possibly beat the location. In the centre of everything with a convenience store directly opposite the apartment and many restaurant options right outside the door. The hosts were incredibly accommodating. Arranged transfers for us from ferry port and to airport with same driver who was wonderful. Collected us from just outside old town and walked us to the property and were just so lovely and welcoming. If I had to choose something here is would be the amount of stairs to the apartment. However, we had two young kids and a person with some knee pain who were both able to manage the stairs perfectly fine. I was worried about the amount of stairs prior to arriving as other people had commented on them but they genuinely did not pose an issue for us. Stairs to attic bedroom may also be irresistible to a young child but not an issue for us.

• Al (10/5): - We booked a place in Old Dubrovnik because I read that it was the area to stay. This place was a super place to stay for our family of 5. There is a market right outside the building which made me a little hesitant at first because I thought it might be loud at night, but by 10:00 pm or so it was quiet. We really loved the fact that everything in Old Dubrovnik was a short walk from this location. Also just 50 feet outside the door is a small market that has about anything you need. The place was as described. It was well air conditioned with three split unit heat pumps cooling the spaces. The common space, which has the sofa sleeper was large enough for our family of five. We used the small washing machine which worked great. Things to note. As mentioned in other reviews it is up the stairs I think 3 or 4 levels, so if you can't do stair this will not work for you. It was great for us. The loft area has a very steep slope on the one side, so if you don't do well bending over to get to that side of the bed it could be a challenge. I would definitely stay here again.

Property suggested we take back the rental car for our three day stay to save on cost of non existent and expensive parking. Great suggestion. Rental car company 1km away easy walk. Washing machine with soap nice touch and much appreciated. Grocery store and local market at front door. Easy walk to nice city beach! Views out of windows amazing. 66 steps to reach apartment but well worth it once there. Something to consider when travelling with people with mobility issues.

• Rebekah Mildred (8/5): - This apartment has the perfect location - you couldn't ask for better. A beautiful building, on a beautiful square right in the heart of the Old Town. There are a LOT of stairs to get up, which was a bit tricky for my older mother, but the view up in the apartment is gorgeous. It's a lovely apartment, but a little tatty around the edges. Suited us very well though as a party of 5 including a toddler. Jelena was very helpful, as was Bozo. Thanks
• Tiffany (10/5): I would stay here again! Best location - Best location in Dubrovnik! You can open the windows and see the bustling square beneath you. So nice to wake up and walk right downstairs to the farm market. Restaurants and grocery next door. The staff was excellent with communication and getting us to the property. There are 4+flights of stairs. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Comfortable beds and a very clean property. I would highly, highly recommend! Nothing. Wish I could have stayed longer

• Kate (8/5): A great place to stay on a first trip to Dubrovnik with teenagers. - Awesome loft apartment in a great location in the Old Town. Bozo is an extremely helpful host. He arranged a driver to collect us from the terminal and then Luca greeted us at the taxi rank outside the Old Town and took us to the apartment on foot. This was so helpful and made us feel very welcome! The location of the apartment means that you can easily pop back anytime to rest after sightseeing or when it gets too hot and crowded in the city. We were very comfortable and felt at home.

No lift in the building made it difficult. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell most of the time. The loft bedroom stairs and low roof were quite dangerous.
• Diane (10/5): Perfect location to explore the Old City of Dubrovnik - The location was perfect. Right across from a market and the green market in the mornings. There was also a bakery and several restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It was very easy to see all of the sites in the Old City and to get to any of the tour meeting places. Loved it! Apartment was exactly what we were looking for and looks as advertised.
• Sara (7/5): Great location but… - You can’t beat the location and the view from the small windows. You’ll stay in the center of it all. Unfortunately, it rained 3/4 days we stayed in Dubrovnik, but we were glad we had booked this apartment. We like that the place was so clean, it came with a small washer located in the bathroom below the sink, iron and ironing board, umbrellas (which came in handy), comfortable sofa and TV. The beds were very comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. However, keep in mind that it does become a hassle going down those few steps to the bathroom when you’re half asleep. As previous comments have stated, there are many flights of stairs, so if you have mobility issues this might not be the best place for you. Also note that there are very steep stairs going up into the second room. We had booked the apartment with two king beds, we were surprised to see the bottom room had two twin beds. Even more surprising is that when I wrote to the owner, they said one must request the second king bed, although it does not stated in the apartment’s description. We ran out of hot water more than once. When I contacted the owner to see if they had fixed this issue, they said that there was more than enough water for three people. My sister and I have a lot of hair, so we tend to take longer than 5-min showers. So in the end, we had to plan who would shower when. Finally, we also found the apartment to have a mold problem, particularly above the wardrobe (we noticed as the morning we were leaving as we were packing the items we had placed in the wardrobe)—we have made the owner aware as they claimed they did not know.

The apartment was located in prime spot, with the front door straight onto the the most beautiful square with restaurants, coffee shops and a local market. The communication from the owner has been spot on with lots of help given and him arranging transfers and tours for us. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough. Brilliant experience

• Linh (9/5): Excellent apartment rental in a great location - The apartment was very conveniently located in the old city of Dubrovnik. The apartment was clean and exactly as advertised. The apartment is on the fourth floor, without elevator access, which is typical of European residences. I stayed with my spouse and two teenaged children and did not have any issues walking up the stairs. My phone's GPS had issues locating the exact location of the apartment. Our hosts correctly pointed us to start walking in from the Ploce Gate, but once inside the old city walls, the streets are very narrow and the GPS was not able to locate it properly - so we got lost. It may be helpful for the host to meet guests at the Ploce Gate.

We absolutely loved the old town and spent thre - The apartment was in a perfect location right in the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town. It was very clean and the host was super helpful. There were about five flights of stairs to the top floor apartment so not suitable for people struggling with mobility issues but we loved being so central.

• Sandro (10/5): Sehr zentrale Unterkunft - Tolle Lage mitten vom Marktplatz. Unterkunft ist im Dachgeschoß, ein gutes Training für die Fitness. Gegenüber ist ein Bäcker und ein Supermarkt, somit kann man schnell auch etwas einkaufen. Durch das Dachfenster hat man neben den Tauben auch den Markt im Blick. In der Unterkunft ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Vom Bügeleisen bis zum Tresor.
