Professional and friendly staff from the Concierge to the waiters and housekeepers - all pleasant and helpful. We loved the buffet breakfast and lunch or cocktails on one of the lounge couches overlooking the river. The rooms were very well appointed and designed. Our one concern was the bathroom, which was small for a suite with one sink and a very high step-in tub that was difficult to climb in and out of to use the shower. I’d suggest if it were at all possible to replace that with walk-in showers that are much safer and more popular with most guests.

Breakfast service was a little slow, but fine, given how busy it was the mornings that we were there. The River Suite was stunning with ample room.

In every interaction they made us feel like family, going out of their way to make every part of our stay incredible all the way to the very end when one of the bellmen gave me detailed directions on how to drive out of the area so as to avoid getting a ZTL fine. The hotel had the most beautiful view and we stayed in the coolest room ever! It felt like we were staying in a castle. The service here was also impeccable and everyone was incredible. To highlight a few people I will starts with Luca. From the moment we arrived Luca was incredibly helpful. I have celiac and he gave us all the best places to eat in Florence that were also celiac safe. One night he even surprised my mom with a dish full her favorite lemon candies from the hotel lobby. Mia is also someone I want to highlight as she helped us with all our dinner reservations in addition to getting us acquainted with the property. She even double checked to make sure there were allergy safe options at the breakfast buffet for me to enjoy. Lastly, Belal helped capture all of our moments on camera and he takes the best pictures so be sure to have him take yours. Thank you Hotel Lungarno for such an unforgettable stay in Florence for me and my family!

We chose a smaller room and they were still lovely but we would totally splurge and get an upgraded room if available next time. Everything we hoped for in a high end European Hotel and more! Enjoyed the lobby bar and patio view at sunset with the best Negroni we have EVER had (try the Classic Vintage Negroni at least once…trust me). Extremely comfortable Luxurious beds, chocolates, and turn down service that included hand cream and water on the bedside table. Every detail thoughtful prepared. The Staff members made us feel so welcome and helped us enjoy our stay even more. We will come back again and stay longer!

C9198QBdanh (8/5): Over priced - This is a very good hotel with some rough spots. Our room was small. The bathroom had a tub/shower that requires you to step up into the tub with no handrail to grab. For an older person, getting in and out is a challenge. For some inexplicable reason there are very few power outlets. I use a CPAP and I had to unplug the bedside light because there was only a single outlet near the bedside. For charging your devices you have to get down on the floor to plug in your charger. There is just one USB port on the wall next to each bed stand but they were so low amperage it took all night to partially charge an iPhone. We arrived early and after checking in we were told we would receive a text when our room was ready. We never received a text and after spending several hours walking around finally returned back to the hotel to find our room had been ready for quite some time. Very irritating. All in all, for what you get, this hotel is overpriced.

And you just can’t beat the location, in fact many, many vacationers stop by to have their picture taken from the property with the Ponte Vecchio bridge in the background! We were particularly well taken care of by the Bell staff, as we were traveling for 3 weeks and had tons of luggage. Belar was fantastic and so was every member of the staff.

Also, it’s so small and stuffy that if you go in directly after someone’s been working out, the smell is quite putrid. For such a lovely hotel with thoughtful amenities, I wish they would pay more attention to the workout facilitiy.

When I asked the front desk for one, I was repeatedly told to check the nightstand, even after I explained that I already had. The front desk insisted on coming to the room to verify it, which made me uncomfortable. As a result, I spent over an hour searching Florence for an adapter and eventually bought one myself. Later, when my husband had an Italian friend call the hotel, they delivered an adapter immediately with no problem. I am a visible minority, and the difference in how I was treated was upsetting and made me question whether bias played a role.

It was very hard to get waiters attention both mornings for coffee but the buffet was wonderful.

I never stay anywhere else in Firenze as i have stayed in about 10 places in the city and once I found Lungarno as long as they have space I stay here. You just arrive and leave feelign special and their wifi bandwidth has greatly improved so its a non issue which is essential for my work. Best breakfast anywhere on top of it all. This is the best of boutique hotels in my opinion. The only thing is its associated with HIlton properties but no points earned so not sure what to do with that.

We had a river view room, which was gorgeous although a little noisy at times. Sometimes at these fancy hotels the environment is a bit sterile and stiff but that wasn’t the case here, all the staff were super warm, friendly and ready to help, we felt very well taken care of and left feeling rejuvenated.

Leejaye (10/5): Luxury at its Finest - I spent four nights at the Hotel Lungarno (12/30 to 1/3) with my wife and my two children (21 and 26). We all had a fantastic stay. Florence is a wonderful city, and no matter where you stay, it would be a struggle to have a bad time. My wife and I are avid travelers and always try to post honest reviews, with some being harder than others. This review is an easy one. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. We stayed in the Rooftop Terrace Suite, which was spectacular, especially for watching the fireworks. The hotel was centrally located, right on the Arno River and adjacent to the Ponte Vecchio. Walking distance to just about everything. The restaurant and bar in the Hotel were great. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They did everything with a smile and went above and beyond what was in their job description. We rarely return to a hotel, but based on my experience at the Lungarno, we will definitely be back.

qased (8/5): Good service, aging infrastructure - The overall service and soft product was very good, including breakfast. The staff is all attentive. The maids are very detail oriented in the cleaning. Not much more you could ask for there. The weird thing is, there are a lot of reviews mentioning “perfect water pressure.” This is quite an odd thing to mention, unless it’s an overreaction to negative reviews (that might have been removed) citing poor water pressure. My room had extremely bad water pressure. It wasn’t just low, that would be fine. The water pressure for the hot water would go in and out, so it would trickle one minute, and pour out the next. In the sink this is not a big deal, but in the shower, this means that the water constantly fluctuates from lukewarm to scalding hot. You just have to go in the shower, then step away every time the water gets too hot or too cold. And this was at night. The one time I tried taking a shower around 9 or 10 AM, there was barely any hot water. The hot water has a gauge saying 38 degrees in the middle. I had it all the way on hot and it’s as barely lukewarm. I’ve traveled to lots of countries, and I even got consistent hot water at mountain tea houses in Nepal in areas not accessible by cars. I just had a wonderful stay in an 80s era building in the bush in South Africa, and had no water issues there. But I did have them here. Is this luxury if the water is less hot than a tea house in Nepal with no electricity? I’m reporting my experience, and you can decide. I’m still giving it a positive review because I did get a free upgrade. If I had paid extra for a suite to not have basic services like hot water, I would be more angry. If you’re here for a special occasion, do you want to take the risk that you pay a lot of money to get my room? It’s up to you.

Stunning white lights decorate the outside creating a perfect photo spot with the view of the river as the backdrop. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable to relax in. Every area of the hotel is clean and kept to perfection. The Lungaro staff is top notch, and always there to make sure you have what you need and that you feel at home. The staff is what makes this hotel so special. The bar/restaurant has so many seating areas to sit and enjoy your family and the food and drinks were delicious. The location of the hotel near the Ponte Vecchio made it very easy to walk to museums, restaurants, shopping and the Duomo. It was hard to leave. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay there again.

We’ve stayed at a variety of hotels in and around Florence and this wonderful boutique hotel, right on the Arno, very much exceeded our expectations. Upon our arrival we were greeted by an angel named Imran, who went out of his way to make sure our check in and stay was filled with the finest touches of high end hospitality. We were also fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room with a spectacular balcony overlooking the Ponte Vecchio, thanks to booking via AMEX as well. The photos almost can't do it justice, it is sublime and as picturesque as it gets! The staff, mostly led by Imran, was on point and gave us terrific recommendations of things to do in and around the city with terrific restaurant choices and curated day trip ideas to venture outside to Tuscany. The hotel is adorned incredible works of art from many of the masters, and the lounge area is a gem that has the comfortable yet elegant feel of sipping libations on high end yacht! Don't hesitate to book this stay, you won't go wrong here! The staff, across the board was great, and again would like to give a shout out to the super star Imran. The location is also fantastic. We have received exceptional service from Giulia and Andrea at the concierge desk and James the doorman. The bar staff and breakfast staff are also terrific. We highly recommend staying at this fantastic hotel in Florence!

rkdestes (10/5): Christmas Bliss!!! - We just returned from 8 wonderful nights at Hotel Lungarno. Literally everything was exceptional! Friendly staff, very clean property, delicious breakfasts, quiet room, etc. I must give a sincere shout out to the entire Concierge team who assisted us with dining selections, museum tickets, taxis, shopping - you name it. Their recommendations were spot on and we were so appreciative. A special high five to Lorenzo who went out of his way each day to be sure our plan was a good one! :) We have stayed at the property for many years and will return again!

42nielse (10/5): Wonderful weekend away! - My wife and I have just returned from the most romantic and beautiful weekend in Florence. And although we spend most of the time in town, the weekend would not be nearly as perfect as it turned out, would we not have stayed at hotel Lungarno. There is simply no better location than this. Overlooking the river Arno and the Ponte Vecchio the view was stunning and do not worry about any means of transportation you might be needing. Everything is within walking distance. Then there is the staff at this hotel. All of them know and use you name after you have arrived. From the bartender to the ladies at breakfast to all of the doorman. They are all equally courteous. And then there is Lorenzo, the Head Concierge. There is nothing he does not know about the city and it's surroundings and nothing he is not able to arrange. It is because of him that we were able to do and see everything we came for and more. Thank you hotel Lungarno and all your staff for making our stay in Florence so marvelous! Niels Essink

Piage (10/5): Cosy and warm welcome. My home away from home. - Florence is always magic but during Xmas it’s so special. Staying at Lungarno is always a delight, location and view are unbeatable. The staff always welcoming and helpful they always make you feel home. It’s lovely to go back.

Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care truly made the experience unforgettable. The hotel itself is stunning, beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and located in the most charming area. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, with incredible views and thoughtful touches everywhere. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. I can’t recommend Hotel Lungarno enough, and I’m so grateful to Giulia and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be returning!
