- Dace (10/5): - Loved every minute of it!! We were 3 adults staying in one sea-view room with a balcony, and the size was perfect …1 large bed and 1 queen bed. We stayed on the 6th floor, where there was a lounge with charming bartenders, pool tables, and amazing sunset views! All the entertainment at the resort was so much fun 🤩 My favourites were the pool fitness and the master class 😆 The food in all the 5 restaurants was really good! Overall, I would definitely come back! The only thing I think could be improved is updating the restaurant opening schedule more accurately. Some days, certain restaurants were closed. Luckily, we stayed for 5 nights, so we still had the chance to try all of them.

La atención se centra en el bar del looby donde hay karaoke, pantalla de tv gigante, escasos asientos. Nos la pasamos parados ña mayor parte del tiempo, así que preferimos irnos de ahí. Por otro lado ya había ido antes a este hotel y el suana, el vapor y el yacusi eran de entrada libre y ahora tenía costo elevado aparte. 😡

The value is great even if you don't get any extra services or excursions the resort hosts a ton of events to keep you entertained. The live performers they have are quite talented as well. I don't know if my rooms position was just in a good spot but the noise from the late night events didn't bother me. They are quite attentive about cleaning the rooms, they called my room when had the do not disturb sign to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend the Mexican restaurant on site Casa de Rosa, all the restaurants that were great but that one in particular had excellent food.

The location was beautiful, right on the beach. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. The atmosphere is contagious as everyone is so friendly and happy. The staff couldn’t be more approachable, attentive and lovely! Especially Pedro from entertainment. He goes above and beyond, making a conscious effort to remember guests names and being the life of the party. Our room was beautiful, clean and functional. You can have massages, beautiful food, non stop entertainment. I could go on! But yes beautiful resort and would definitely return. Thank you Sunscape for making our first holiday together so memorable ♥️
- nattym89 (10/5): Honest opinion from UK - Location - very good, 5mins in taxi or yiu can get the bus to main strip where shops and pubs including coco bongo which i would highly recommend to go. Hotel atmosphere is calming and alot to do during the day, all staff are friendly and welcoming although reception staff we found not as much. On check in we where given no welcome pack, told to scan a QR code and we will find everything in there, i know times are changing with technology however not everyone is savvy with tech and requested a paper copy however continued to be redirected to QR code. Found front desk staff very direct, to the point felt as if we where putting them out asking questions. Asked about a shower as we needed to check out at 12 but not being picked up until 6pm told no showers and gave option to keep the room on if wanted a shower, which was 600MP per hour which we felt was alot of money to pay just to use a shower. Other hotels we have stayed in mecico and other 5 star hotels with mini bars have had choice of alcohol however only beer was an option in our rooms no miniture spirits or optics just beer, water and cans of pop. Although this was not a majour issue as we justbwent to the bar its nice to have that option at your finger tips to sit in the balcony looking out at the beach in a evening before going out. Rooms very dark, they where very clean and spacious but did not look like pictures very spanish looking with dated tiles, but we adapted. Im not fussy and very adaptable however the price you pay to come here and the pictures shown i think our exspectations where alot higher and compared to other hotels in mexico this is not my favourite. Feel the value for money we exspected better rooms as we paid extra for ocean view juniour suite. The house keeping came everyday topped up fridges with water and pop and beer if you wanted. They where very friendly and do an amazing job. Itbwas noisy on a night as we had ocean virw and theres night time entertainment on the beach and round the pool however this didnt bother us as we where up and joining in but if you have little ones who may want to sleep i would consider these rooms and maybe get a room the other side of the hotel. The coffee shop is amazing, lots of chouces of different pasteries, sandwiches, cakes, coffee and tea also the staff are amazing. The hotel is nice, very family friendly, entertainment staff are amazing get everyone involved lots of different activities throughout the day i would recommend come here with kids they have a ice cream shop to get treats and ice cream but closes at 7pm. Theres a shop on site if you forget anything that sells everything you need, it is abit pricey as they all are in the hotel but useful if you need to pick something up. We booked our trips on line your go 2 guide its alot cheaper and you can print tickets out in hotel. If you want a lovely day out with friends, family or partner i would highly recommend isla mujeres trip we bookes this up with the guy who gives out the beach towels its an amazing day, you get picked up from hotel to board the boat all drinks included on boat, soft drinks, water, beer, cocktails and spirits. You have the option to go snorkling, you then dock in the island they offer you to hire a golf buggy i would not recommend the roads are busy and other lots of traffic. We where droppes off at a diamond shop which was our landmark to meet up after 3 hours and you get free time. Theres alot of shops to buy any gifts back home which are very cheap, do not make the mistake and buy in the diamond shop as i bought a fridge magnet for 250ML and walked down the street and got 4 for 100ML theres a beautiful beach and lots of bars and shops. We found a sop that was like a spa and purchased cocktails in can 45ML each which was pennys and sat on the beach we also found a bar that was on the beach where you could swim in the sea and enjoy the view. Cancun is an amazing place and lots to explore, sunscape spa resort hotel was lovely the food was amazing can not fault the food freshly cooked, hot and lots of choice this is my honest opinion. I just exspected rooms to be more updated and maybe reception staff to be more helpful. I have based this off my recent experiance and also compared to other 5 staff hotels i have stayed in. It took me a year to pay for my holiday and was alot of money for a holiday.
- Leo (10/5): Amazing hotel, highly recommended. - Absolutely fantastic property! Great facilities, amazing and varied food, lovely beach too. Coffe shop and sweet shop are cool too. The staff are beyond amazing (Azul, Victor & Luis) to name just a couple who will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Absolutely highlight is the kids club and staff. Rubi, Ali, Maria, Ale, Danna, Daniela, Janna gave my daughter the most amazing memories and are the reason this was our third time at the hotel, and why we will definitely book again! My only gripe is the amount of staff working at the coffee shop at peak times in the morning - only 1 or 2 staff there and the queue can sometimes be over 20 mins… please put more staff on!! :)

There is even a 24 hour cafe for those craving refreshments during off hours. While there are some updates that should be made, such as increased functionality of ID bands, I highly recommend Sunscape and would return there.

Pedro, Esteban, Christian and Antonio made sure the days were never boring with beach volleyball, Aquafit, Zumba, salsa lessons, and many more! The staff at the Italian restaurant especially were also so sweet! Filiberto, Gualberto, and Edgar gave amazing service! We went there almost every evening and it did not disappoint. Definitely would come back just for the people for sure. It was also very clean as well.

A pleasant surprise. We were surprised as to how many of the staff recognized us and were extra helpful as I'm partially handicap. The At Sunset Steak house, The Viaggio are the best. The food is wonderful. The wait staff of Fili, Poscual, Gualberto, Gabriel, Eagar and Chef Vero go above and beyond to serve you. Also the staff and food at the breakfast were also very helpful and tasty. We will be back next year if the Lord is willing.

If you’re looking for a great beach along with a great hotel experience, this is it. It’s not a massive hotel so you’ll feel the personal touch in everything that you do. The rooms are beautiful and promptly clean during the day . the food here is incredible! The entertainment is great. this was our second time staying here and it was even better than the first!

Despite a few minor "resort life" hiccups, the overall experience was a solid 5 stars for us. Travelling with 3 kids under 4 years old was a challenge and made for an enjoyable and unforgettable family vacation. The Good: The staff are the absolute heart of this place incredibly friendly and attentive. The food overall was great, with plenty of variety that kept everyone in the family happy. The "Real" Details: We did have a few minor issues some tiny ants in our room and the toilet clogged a couple of times. However, maintenance and housekeeping was quick to respond, and it didn't take away from our vacation. Foodie Note: As Albertans, we’re admittedly spoiled with the best beef in the world, so we found the meat at the Mexican restaurant and the flank steak a bit tough for our liking. But everything else was delicious! Especially Viaggo where it was Italian food, definitely highly recommend! My wife and I also loved On Sunset for the Mediterranean food, watch out for the flank steak as the green pepper is SPICY. We would definitely come back. The memories we made here far outweigh the small stuff. Thanks to the team for taking such good care of us!

- Roam42408758325 (10/5): 5 stars across the board! - This was an amazing stay. Soo welcoming from the 1st moment and great attention throughout the entire stay. The resort is well situated in the hotel zone near the museum and the Luxury Avenue shopping center. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the property, our room and bath and all the restaurants. The food options were great and did vary from place to place. The fresh fish options at Casa de Rosa and Viaggio were tasty and perfectly prepared. We ordered the Tomahawk steak at Azul one evening and it arrived cooked to perfection and expertly seasoned...definitely worth the add-on price. The buffet hosts a changing main theme at dinner each night and is great for breakfast...real eggs being cracked, cooked to order and if you enjoyed the night before too much, they had the best chicken vegetable soup avail at breakfast too. The fruits on offer at the buffet were fresh and delicious, constituted most of my morning plate although I did enjoy and still crave the French Toast...super thick with cinnamon sugar on top! We enjoyed trying the cocktail at Las Olas on the beach, they never seemed weak or watered with all of them being made to order. If you like them stronger, they have no problem adjusting. The Sun Club Lounge was a great spot to just sit with a drink, have a snack or two and watch the sun go down. You can have housekeeping clean your room every day or as we did, every other. Nice firm/yest comfortable beds and pillows too. I will definitely be choosing Sunscape again.

They were so kind and gave us wonderful service. Victor in Azul was really great! Orlando really went out of his way to help us get an upgraded room. Hector was great with our bags and also helped with getting us moved into another room. Hebert and Geovanny were great at making omelets and shrimp. Petro was great with entertainment also. Leticia was always cleaning with a smile on her face. We had been at this location when it was Captain Jacks and it was a lot better this time.

The bellboy, Hector, stood out right away—he was welcoming, kind, and made me feel at home from the very first minute. The room was always clean, and I really appreciated that the minibar was restocked every day. It’s those small details that make a big difference. The entertainment organizer, Antonio, brought great energy every day and was always friendly with everyone, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. I also treated myself to a 50-minute massage at the spa, and it was incredible. The therapist knew exactly where I needed the most attention and was professional and knowledgeable throughout. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend getting a massage—it’s absolutely worth it. The food was another highlight. The buffet offered a great variety of food and drinks, all very good. I also had dinner at the Italian restaurant, Viaggio, and really enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere is very laid back, the room is always clean, towels fresh and fridge full! Excellent value for money. The buffet is just delicious and the servers are always there to attend to our needs. The specialty restaurants are a must-try! We went to Viaggo and Casa de Rosa. Special thanks to Raul, Enrique and Josue, our server at Casa de Rosa. Every night is made more memorable with Antonio, the very dynamic events manager, and his fun-filled activities for all the guests. The bellboys are very accommodating by helping us carry our things from the cab to the lobby. Thank you, Hector and Angel! I highly recommend the place for family and friends alike.

- Josefina (8/5): Excellent service all staff across cleaners, chef, waitress extremely nice and helpful - Excellent!! Special distinction to the services, including all staff . In specific Jesus the chef who is on the dinner timing super nice and friendly and extremely humble and an AMAZING cook. All morning chefs amazing as well really enjoyed speaking to them everyone morning. Unfortunately there was an issue in the accessing and being able to eat at the Mexican restaurant Casa de Rosa, as the “Supervisior” Enrique denied us entry due to our dress code when it was still following the rules of “smart casual”. We were disappointed as we were excited to try the restaurant and were confused as there were other women in the restaurant who were dressed similarly to how we were dressed yet still denied to enter, that is the only negative side to our experience.

- 913alisonk (10/5): We LOVED the Sunscape! - When I first walked in, my first initial opinion was the place felt small. I was worried we were going to get bored and there wouldn't be enough to do. Boy was I wrong. By the second day, I had completely changed my mind. The resort has little hidden pockets everywhere and was larger than I had first noticed. The staff, particularly the entertainment staff (Pedro- we are talking to you!!!), could not have been better if they tried. They were so upbeat, friendly and fun and kept us entertained by the pool and beach all day long. Pedro became a friend after day two and the rest of the crew was amazing as well. The kids loved all the daily activities and also couldn't wait to go hang in the kids club. The kids club was big and had a good amount of "friends" for them to play with. They were constantly offering a fun craft, dance party or sport and my 4 and 6 year old had a blast visiting them. Dropping the kids off isn't something I would normally do, but the staff was so sweet and inviting that we felt completely comfortable leaving them randomly for an hour at a time. The rooms were clean, had great air conditioning and ceiling fans and were very comfortable. We had a pull out couch for the kids and a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean and the pool. I let the resort know that we were there for my husbands 40th and the room was decorated upon arrival. Such a nice sweet touch. The food was GREAT. All inclusive generally only had subpar food, which we normally just expect at this point, but I wasn't upset by one meal I ate at this resort. Even the buffet was really good. The nacho bar at lunch and the watermelon water for breakfast were definitely family favorites. Mariella was the best hostess that always made sure we were happily taken care of. Aside from that, there was an asian restaurant, Italian, steakhouse, burgers and dogs (lunch only) and Mexican restaurant. Im not sure which we likes most. All great. The spa was nice and I had a massage and facial on the beach. Relaxation on top of relaxation- yes please! The best part about this resort was the value. I didn't leave feeling ripped off AT ALL for what we received. The price was very fair and we would go back time and time again. Can't wait for next year!!

- sylvonnaa (10/5): Great Family Spot- Staff is 10/10 - We have been to this hotel twice now and we love it. It’s spotless, there is no lack of staff, the food is great, and we keep coming back for the kindness of the people who work there. The chef Esmeralda would make my son special buttered pasta every day- she gave us a goodbye gift and a cuddle for him when we left. The entertainment does a great job remembering you and getting you up and moving. We loved the dance lessons and the pool competitions. The entertainment was exceptional- the Luxo show, pool show, and the Broadway night was incredible. We were also married here mid week and the staff, including the wedding planner Osmara, were at your every beck and call. They went above and beyond to make it special. The staff is what makes this place feel safe, fun, and relaxing. They all do an exceptional job at making you feel welcome. We love this resort- highly recommend for families. Hello to Esmeralda from your little blonde toddler friend! He talks about you still. Xx

Also the coffee shop the drinks by the pool during the day are so delicious. The property is very well maintained clean all around. I love that they came by the room every day and organized everything and did the beds every day.

Clean room, a lot of entertainment and activities on the beach and swimming pool. All restaurants served great food, all waiters are great, our last one was Italian Viaggio, and very professional waiter Edgar, but they all super nice people created enjoyable vacation. I recommend it big time!

Our room was amazing, 2nd floor above the walk out suites. The customer service culture is clear with all staff you interact with. The teen club was fun for our 13yr old to hang out. The entertainment in the evenings was all well done.

- 583evgeniaa (10/5): Great cozy hotel - We had a fantastic stay at Sunscape Hotel from March 20th to March 29th. The resort is incredibly cozy and comfortable. No matter which room you stay in, the walk to the restaurants and the beach never takes more than a few minutes. Because of the layout, there are plenty of bars and dining areas, so we never had to deal with the long lines typical of high-rise hotels. The staff is exceptionally professional, friendly, and respectful. The food was a highlight—always fresh with a great variety of delicious options. The Italian restaurant, Viaggio, was our favorite; the meals were fresh and flavorful. If you go, ask for Filibierto—he is an outstanding server who is attentive to every detail and has a genuinely kind smile. A special thanks to the lady in the main coffee shop for the best cappuccinos, and to Jorge at the main entrance for his professionalism and tact. We give this hotel a 10/10 and are so happy we chose Sunscape for our getaway!

- Seepocke (4/5): Go elsewhere - This resort is so bad. Where do I start? The food is terrible. The steak was so hard it was almost inedible, the Asian food was bland and the spring rolls tasted of old cooking oil. The drinks all tasted the same and were watered down (including the non alcoholic fruit juices). Getting filtered water is an ordeal and is handed to you only in tiny bottles (SO much plastic waste. But they are so eco-conscious by omitting straws from drinks - lol). At the breakfast buffet they had cut up mango slices, except they HAD NOT BEEN PEELED. Seriously? No Mexican person in their right mind would eat that either for fear of food poisoning. In my room the outlets were so loose, I could never charge anything. Additionally there was a coffee pot (no filters or coffee) that was turned on when I got there, which is a fire hazard. The humidity in my room was very high as well. The air conditioning was set to 17 degrees Celsius (62 Fahrenheit) when I got there, so it was freezing cold. The check in process takes forever and there are always long lines at the front desk. As far as the people working there are concerned i experienced both rude staff as well as extremely friendly and helpful people. I stayed at this place because the airline provided it after my flight had been cancelled, so I did not have to pay for this. I’d be so upset if I had actually chosen this as a holiday destination. Don’t go there. Just don’t.

We loved everything about this resort: it's clean, well decorated, has good food and entertainment, and the best hotel staff ever. Big shout out to the activities staff (esp Ivan who does the morning yoga class, and Antonio, Christian and Esteban who kept us entertained and in shape every day!) We will be returning and are recommending to everyone we know.

- kfranko72 (8/5): Pretty good - Not the largest all-inclusive full of amenities (there are other Hyatts in Cancun for that), but it was nice, well-kept, beds were extremely comfortable, and the food was actually AMAZING! Limited loungers by the pool since there's only one moderately sized pool and a smaller one, but there's some great cabanas if you want to rent them. The staff was friendly. Bring money for tips...first because the staff is great, and 2nd because they really didn't have the capability to break bills to give you change for tips. Best part besides the food: hammocks on the patio!!! Do yourself a favor and get an ocean front or ocean view so you can enjoy the hammock in it's full glory!

Unfortunately the bedroom faced the streetside, noise from car travel woke us up in the night. I wish the windows were thicker. Food was better than expected from an all inclusive. Staff was very responsive and courteous. Would recommend.

Os funcionários sempre estavam dispostos a nos ajudar e eram muito simpáticos. Os restaurantes Viaggio e o At Sunset são maravilhosos, os pratos são deliciosos. As cadeiras de praia também eram confortáveis e os drinks deliciosos. O café da manhã era muito bom, com opções para todos os gostos. Acho que poderia ter mais guarda-sóis na praia, pois a sombra é um pouco escassa. Além disso, o hotel poderia ter mais opções de entretenimento.

- bhupendrap641 (8/5): Suggest to include Indian origin Chef - We visited this resort March 1 week. I liked location and access to beach area. I am vegetarian (no onion, no garlic) diet and my wife is vegan. We didn't find lots of option for my meals. We are non-alcoholic and find all inclusive was waist for me. Overall, Chefs and staff were very helpful to make our requested food items. But, they are not familiar with Indian cousin and items and how to make. We didn't find dessert and pastry without egg. Overall, it was not bad experience.

Front Desk/Bellmen Cesar, Carlos, and our Housekeeper Jose C. who took real good care of our room.

The food on every restaurant was amazing and of course the staff never disappoints, Lucy, Moises, Jaime, Ramiro, and all of the staff were amazing to us. Thank you all We will come back!
- Schmoo8 (10/5): Excellent small resort with the friendliest staff. - The grounds of this resort are immaculate and cleanliness is number one priority to us. All the restaurants were excellent. Lucia at Ventanas was always quick and helpful with a smile for everyone. Daniel was our favourite poolside server with a laugh or joke every day. The manager at Azul at breakfast was so gracious and accommodating. The main pool was set up with many different levels of platforms for lounging and there were always activities happening you could participate in or watch. Same at the beach. The beach was so soft and without rocks and the water beautiful. Never a wait for an elevator or to get into a restaurant except the Italian, which was our favourite. Because this resort has no reservations, you could arrive before 6 and get a table or take a pager for when your table was ready. We went 3 times! Our room was clean and always smelled nice. We had a partial ocean view and a full lagoon view with a wrap around deck. The room was bright and had a separate sunken living room. There was plenty of closet space and counter space. The mini bar always had two beer and an assortment of pop and juice. A real bonus on our last day was that after checkout, no matter how long your wait was for your pick up, you could continue to eat and drink for free. We also took advantage of the 24hour coffee bar and packed a couple sandwiches for the airport and plane ride home. Excellent resort, not too big, friendless staff we’ve ever encountered.

As a parent, the most important thing for me was that we always felt safe, spoiled, and secure. It is an incredible resort for families and group trips alike! A Birthday to Remember My daughter turned 18 few days before our stay as well, and the resort went above and beyond. Cristina at the Front Desk was an absolute superstar—she coordinated a beautiful surprise in the room that my daughter and her friends loved. They took so many photos and felt so celebrated! A huge thank you to Cristina for managing all the girls and making the birthday logistics seamless. Dining & Food Allergies The food was a highlight of the trip. We spent a lot of time at Ventanas and Azul, and the Italian restaurant was simply wonderful. **Note for fellow travelers with allergies: I have specific food allergies, and the staff were incredibly diligent. They took cross-contamination seriously and made sure I felt safe at every meal. The Dream Team The service here is what truly sets the resort apart. We want to give a massive "big clap" to: * Captain Idelfonso – For his leadership and impeccable service and accommodating my requests . * Limber, Jaime, Lino, & Jose – For taking such great care of us throughout our stay. * Lucia (Hostess) – For her warm welcome and organization. * Julio (Candy Shop) – He made our visits to the shop super special and was a favorite for the girls! He was above and beyond with the girls. Final Verdict If you are looking for a resort where you can relax while your teens have the time of their lives in a secure environment, this is it. We highly recommend Sunscape Cancun and can’t wait to return!
- wenckep2023 (10/5): Excellent stay! - The beach is nice and clean. They make an effort to get rid of the bit of seaweed that comes in. And they mark the rocks. The restaurants are great! We loved the buffet in particular and also the Italian restaurant. All staff are friendly and attentive to all our needs. Following staff members stood out. Harder and Lucius and Idelfonso.
