• Fouad (9/5): Prachtig verblijf in familie kamer op loopafstand centrum. - Perfecte locatie, prachtige rustige plek met mooi uizicht op de kerk vanaf een bloemrijk balkon. Op verzoek kregen we een waterkoker op de kamer. Loopafstand naar centrum en dichtbij tram, bus en trein. Schoon en heel benaderbare receptie, wat latere incheck kon ook gewoon. Dank!

• Alfredo (10/5): Un Soggiorno Meraviglioso nella città del Rinascimento - La camera era perfettamente pulita e spaziosa. Angelica è stata gentilissima nel darci tutte le info per il check-in e il check-out. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti per la posizione in cui si trova la struttura dato che il centro è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi e la zona è molto carina. Inoltre, la camera è silenziosa e questo ci ha permesso di riposare ottimamente. Speriamo di tornare quanto prima possibile.

Ci sono state fornite tempestivamente indicazioni chiare su come farlo, abbiamo trovato la stanza accogliente, spaziosa e pulita, un letto molto comodo. La zona è perfetta per raggiungere anche a piedi il centro di Firenze

• Jesus (9/5): It’s a great stay, the staffs is wonderful plus we were able to move around to explore Florence and - Angelica was great from the start, she was always friendly and helpful also thanks to the other young lady that works there, the room is spacious, the balcony is great to sit and enjoy breakfast, a glass of wine, etc. The place is about 17 min from Santa mania novella train station. Thanks Angelica for everything! Just a little noisy at early morning time because the building is right in front the main road
• Ronald (9/5): Clean, comfortable, quite and not too far from historic downtown Firenze. - There was no breakfast we were aware of. The location was pretty good. It was a bit of a walk to the center of Florence where all the attractions are, but not that bad and overall it was quite and safe. Location was a bit of a walk from most of what you want to see in Florence, but that's not a secret. It's really not a thing I don't like, just what is keeping this from being an ideal location. It's priced very appropriately for where it is.

Our room which had city view and was close to the street had car and motorcycle noises during night, even with closed window and closed shields. Bed was not comfy also.

• Brenda (10/5): Great stay in Florence - The property was lovely and clean. A very comfortable bed. The outside terrace was beautiful. Il Sorriso was in a great location for train station, restaurants and all the sights Florence is famous for. A kettle or coffee machine would be handy in rooms.

• Steve (9/5): We would stay there again and can recommend it - We came by train so we were relieved and pleased that it wasn't too far from the station. The room was on the first floor which had a corridor leading onto a huge suntrap balcony area at the rear of the building, where Angelica serves breakfast. Angelica was a very friendly host with a good command of English and nothing was too much trouble for her. The building fronts onto a fairly busy road, so there is traffic noise, but it didn't disturb our sleep.

• Eleana (9/5): Lovely. - Location was a short walk from the city centre, which was very convenient and allowed us to view all areas of the city. The communal balcony was lovely and we used it a lot. The room was large, clean, had enough toiletries and the mini fridge was a great idea. Our room was off the main road, which was very busy throughout the night, and if not used to this, it would be a shock.

Angelica is the best! - The property is very close enough to the main attraction yet also far enough from touristy spots and noise. The property is so clean and Angelica is very accommodating to us! You can definitely hear the city noise such as cars and buses very easily. However it’s nothing you cant really ignore or put a little white noise to blur it all out.

Important you advise of arrival time as a member of staff welcomes you , and opens up for you.There is no other staff on duty in the property. Road outside rather noisy at night.

We were able to check-in a little early and also leave our bags after checkout for a little bit. Terrace was nice and I wish we had had time to use it more! Easy 15 minute walk from the tourist stuff which made it far enough out to not feel like you were constantly in all the hassle. Nothing :)

Great location, walkable distance from the downtown and grocery stores, the terrace has a beautiful view and it’s cozy and spacious as well. The entire place is very welcoming. I would 100% recommend it. 10/10. Nothing to not like about it :)

It was not a Hotel - no receptionist. It is not a B&B. You need to order you breakfast the day before. Nothing was in English, you need to translate. Very nice Hotels in the same area for the same price with the experience of a Hotel in Florence... and not only a room with no view. Very disappointed - and this for Italy. Toiletpaper was not enough and there was no tissues as a back-up!!!

• Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This is a lovely B and B within walking distance of Florence city centre. It is quiet and there is a lovely peaceful terrace. Angelica was particularly kind when I became ill during the last day of my stay there. Thank you!
• Tracy (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay in Camera Giglio. The highlight of the clean, comfortable space was the terrace accessible directly from our room with a table and 2 chairs for enjoying a bottle of Chianti after a day out and about. For 10€ per person extra, the host Angelica provides breakfast on the lower part of the delightful terrace that features a few tables and seating for lounging. Angelica was very helpful before and during our stay. She ordered a taxi for us for a very early checkout to catch a train to Salerno and to get to the meeting point for our Tuscan Wine Tasting tour. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Since we are older and have limits to the distances we can walk, we only wish we realized it was further from central Florence than expected. Prepare for 10 minute taxi ride to popular spots like Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the main train station. You will need to call for a taxi because there doesn't appear to be any nearby taxi stands where you can easily walk to. Flagging taxis on the street, of course, is not done in Florence. Also note while towels and a bath mat are provided, small washcloths are not. Those are small details though that are just good to know. We will definitely stay here again.
• Kevin (9/5): Great walkable B&B in the heart of Firenze! - Great location, easy to find from the Santa Maria Novella station, just a 15 mins walk. Huge room with high ceilings and big beautiful windows with a view to the stunning Orthodox church next door. The terrace was massive and a great place to sit as the sun is setting with a drink and watch the bats take flight. The shower was tiny and a little difficult to move in but the bathroom was big. The fridge was also very tiny and on the floor so not as accessible as other accommodation we stayed in.

Having had breakfast there was a pleasant experience since there is a very large terrace that accommodates a dozen tables (with plenty of sun). The room was beautifully clean. Very, very recommended. The bed there was so comfy, and I had a great sleep. There isn't much of anything to be negative about in this urban niche.

• Priscilla (5/5): Passable - The location was convenient and right near the tram so it's easy to get to the city center if you don't want to walk. It's also a safe location and worth it for a short stay. Our room was facing the main road and very noisy - we did not sleep well at all. The bed in our room was two twin beds put together so it was uncomfortable to sleep because we felt the dip in the middle and the mattresses weren't comfortable for us. I also felt like the bathroom smelled, but that might be the building and out of anyone's control. The amenities in the room could've been slightly better - the TV is small and there is a mini fridge in the room with a small table in the middle with plastic chairs.

• Richard (9/5): cultural, fun and exciting. - The view from the breakfast tes=rrace was very much to my wife's liking with the onion-spired church opposite. Public transport was local cheap and quick, taxis were friendly and cheap.

• Allen (8/5): - It is clear the owners care about the space and had good communications before arrival. We were able to walk to our destinations. The rooms likely vary. We had the Tulip room and it was not well represented on the site. Its bathroom and shower were very small and the room could use a refresh. However, for the price and location, it was acceptable.

• Pia (8/5): Big and clean room in a safe area and friendly host. Only bad thing is the road with heavy traffic - Location a little apart from the touristed city centre. Felt safe to walk around. Room was very nice and big with everything needed. Cleaning was excellent, the room was cleaned every day. Nice and big terrace. I didn't have time to have breakfast but this was offered as room service, very nice. The host Angelica responded very fast on What's app. The road was very noisy, it was difficult to sleep, and when opening the windows, the noise was overwhelming. Check in procedure a bit tricky since this has to be done remotely, but with instructions from the host on What's app, this was ok.

• Susan (6/5): - The place was ok, but the pictures made it look much nicer. It had limited AC in beastly hot weather, no refrigerator in the room for cold drinks, and the shower was tiny. Also, with the staff saying towels wouldn't be replaced daily, there should be adequate spots to hang them to dry. The staff, when there, were very pleasant.
