Guest Reviews
(10/5): - Me and my fiancé had a marvelous time here during our stay in Rome.
Our host Rhen was a top shelf. He was warm and kind and incredibly helpful. He gave us a solid layout of the city and made us terrific breakfast.
We look forward to staying at the Neman again should we ever return to the city.
- Johnny (10/5): A great place to stay in Rome and easy to walk to all the sites with restaurants galore. - The breakfast was so nice and set up every morning with personal service. Fresh fruit, juices, breads, eggs made to order and a lively bowl of cucumbers / tomatoes and peppers. Coffee made to order how you like / a very healthy start to the day.

- Tess (9/5): Fantastic stay in the heart of Rome’s beautiful Jewish Quarter. - We loved our stay here! Beautiful property right in the middle of the incredible Jewish Quarter, with so many great restaurants at your doorstep. Extremely lovely staff, clean rooms with great styling. Nothing, we loved it all.

- Joanne (8/5): - Great location Street at front of apartment was a little noisy as the windows are only single glazed
- monsialemonsia (9/5): - Klimatyczny, przestronjy, czysty pokój o ciekawym wystroju.

- Wei (9/5): The room was beautiful and extremely clean, the staff were the nicest people you will ever come across, and the location - The room was beautiful and extremely clean, the staff were the nicest people you will ever come across, and the location is ideal for sightseeing with restaurants just downstairs. The WiFi was inconsistent and didn’t work half of the time

- De La Rosa (9/5): Convenient - The location was great, right above a bunch of restaurants and at the end of the block was a historic ruin. Rhen and Ellen were so kind and Rhen answered questions quickly via WhatsApp. Breakfast included, eggs were delicious, although breakfast bread was too sweet for me personally. Also cereal for my son, Cappuccino for my husband. At night the seagulls were going berserk eating leftovers from the restaurants.
- Alexander (7/5): Nice enough place with good location - Location is great for walking around Rome. Central location made it easy to get around. No rack in the shower. Lots of noise late into the night and noise in the morning with people banging doors in the unit. Making breakfast?

- Chiger (9/5): I was very happy with my choice of accommodations. I would recommend to everybody. - The location was perfect and the space was easy and beat my expectations. In addition, the owner and staff were always available and very accommodating.

- Moshe (9/5): Superb -
- Santina (10/5): Exceptional - Great Location and staff.
- Joseph (10/5): Great location, modern quality with a classic style, great staff! - For the cost, this was an excellent room. Very nicely finished, there are some excellent places for food just outside but surprisingly quiet at night given how central it is. Staff were also great, anticipating what we would want or need. Cannot rate it highly enough for a long weekend in Rome.
- Segal (10/5): Exceptional - the location was excellent, the place was clean and tidy, and we especially want to mention Mr Ray ,whois responsiblefor everything, who was willingto fulfillour every wish and request
- Avidan (10/5): Wonderful experience highly recommend - Great location
clean
friendly excellent staff attentive to all needs
- Aviv (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - Ren at the property was just wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay better than expected.
- Marius (10/5): Good for those that want to explore the city center and the main highlights - Superb location, very friendly staff it was a bit noisy during late evening outside on the street
- Elisabeth (10/5): Easy and super comfortable! - We got a late checkout, even though we asked for it very late to, so we could take showers and stay in the room until our delayed flight was leaving.
Very nice breakfast and lovely hotel staff. It is very central which makes visiting attractions in Rome very easy. Enjoyed the stay immensely!
- Taha (10/5): Great experience, definately recommend - Excellent staff! Nice decorated and new. Definately recommend! -
- Kathleen (9/5): Stay here. Nice location - Nice location in the Jewish Ghetto. The staff was fantastic. Enjoyed the breakfast. There are only 3 rooms total. Would stay here again Just a little hard to find. And I did not like the pillows but luckily I brought a travel pillow
- Gabriela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helga (8/5): As advertised but a bit pricey for what is offered. - The room was in an excellent location for restaurants, easy access to buses and good walking distance to many of Rome's iconic monuments. Despite a lively restaurant scene, it was quiet at night and very relaxing. The room is well-appointed and clean with a good view of the street below.
It is adjacent to historic remains of Roman temples, Everything is within easy walking distance if you are reasonably fit and the walk into the heart of town meanders through lovely back alleys and historic architecture of varying centuries.
A great location for an out of the ordinary accommodation. While the room was fine and as advertised, it was not an obvious place to find from the outside. It is on te 3rd floor (elevator available) of a residential building so a bit circuitous. While it offered all comforts and it is in Rome, I found the price a bit steep for the offerings. Breakfast is easy to find at street level, so in house breakfast for an extra fee is not necessary.
This place is fine if you travel light and like a bit of adventure.
- Korbl (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again - Position was fantastic and the room, although small was very comfortable Not much
- Laura (9/5): Highly recommended for Shabbat observant travelers - Amazing position in the ghetto. Friendliest and most helpful staff, accessible for our every need. Perfect for Shabbat observant travelers. The fridge was not cold enough and had a weird smell. I think it was pricey ( but Rome is pricey)
- Marshall (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly and shabbos friendly environment.
- EwaltGold (6/5): Not what we expected. But still passable. Read review. - Firstly this is not a hotel. It is a B&B at best, moreover an apartment (not AirBnB equivalent as no self catering facilities, apart from drinks fridge and small microwave - no plates or cutlery - didn’t bother us - we booked as a hotel room… LoLs). The building is old and run down and you will have right game if you have multiple large suitcases as the lift of tiny and antiquated (didn’t bother us we had 1 suitcase) but the apartments are nicely appointed and very clean.
The ‘host’ is a lovely guy and extremely helpful but is only there 9-11 (approx) there’s no front desk or concierge - again this is a serviced apartment room - but breakfast is €25 per person so we passed. The location is good, but the street is extremely noisy at night.
For me this is the sticking point.
It is impossible to get much sleep before 1am here, all apartments (I think only 3 in total face the street on the 3rd floor).
The street is lined with restaurants with outdoor seating, however the customers are not the issue but the staff, who have to pack away all the tables and chairs after closing midnight onwards and make such a racket. Windows are original in the apartments so offer no sound proofing.
In our suite we had a reasonable sized double bed and a more temporary looking double for our children.
The single air conditioning unit was OK for the first room, but almost inadequate for the main bedroom area. We slept slightly uncomfortably due to the heat.
Once the noise had stopped around 1am that is…
Noise restarted before 8am with huge bottle (glass) bins being topped by the garbage trucks.
We had noisy neighbours on the last night at about 2am.
If you are a light sleeper, there are lots of potential bangs from the doors in the apartment, the lift, the entrance door, your neighbours doors and of course the people in the apartments below you (nothing to do with Neman).
We paid about €500 a night for the largest room, for 4 nights.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - We loved staying here. Everything was wonderful! There was not one thing we did not like.
- Amy (6/5): Pleasant - Very walkable to all sites. Very noisy. Loud outdoor noises late into night and began again early morning. Kids screaming and running about in room next to us, both day we came back to take a break mid day.
- Stefanie (10/5): Just fantastic! - It was an amazing stay at the Neman hotel. 🤗 best location you can imagine! If I ever come back to Rome I will definitely stay here again. :) the staff was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable here.
- Mohammad (6/5): The staff was great especially Ren.. super helpful and friendly. But it’s not a hotel as advertised more of a bed and br - Location was only the best part. But it’s in a Jewish area which should be highlighted Taxi cannot come up to the property and drop you off at the street then you have to walk to the property with you luggage etc. supper inconvenient
- Chaim (10/5): Highly Recommend! - Really beautiful and clean hotel in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto. Right near the Great Synogogue and all the kosher Cafes. Everything was great!
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- DanielleBrull (10/5): Amazing home away from home - This small bed and breakfast was in a perfect location for people who keep kosher. It is in the midst of lots of kosher restaurants, in walking distance of all attractions and a fantastic personal service and a great strictly kosher breakfast too! Ren was fantastic and really made our stay . I would book the the family suite . It is very spacious and better than any hotel room. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon
- Elisa (10/5): This stay made us love the city! - Everything exceeded our expectations. AMAZING customer service, felt like they really cared :) We didn't like that we could not stay longer :((((
(9/5): Superb -

- Yehuda (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were amazing!!
- Alnuhait (8/5): Very good -
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ionut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (9/5): Great stay for a quick trip with my brother - The location was right off the main road with plenty of food and dining around, from you quick bites to sit down restaurants. Very safe area. Instructions were very easy to follow to get into the building. I was warned about the seagulls, but boy are they loud! If you don’t sleep well with noise, make sure to bring earplugs.
- Edufdezb (8/5): Very good - excellent location staff extermely welcoming and useful the reservatin of the taxi to leave did not work
- Alison (10/5): Lovely oasis in central Rome - The location was perfect for our visit - central location within walking distance to many sites but relatively quiet due to being in the Jewish district. The personal attention and recommendations were much appreciated! The rooms are a little small
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bianca (9/5): Superb -
- Adnan (3/5): Poor -
- Dafna (9/5): We really enjoyed our time at the Maison-- thank you! - Ren was very helpful and kind-- great hospitality! The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Location was fantastic. The air conditioner was excellent. It's hard to get heavy luggage to the door due to the cobbled street where cars can't pass. We would have liked a roomier bathroom with more space to put our toiletries.
- TannyaS1 (4/5): BAD EXPERIENCE! - My experience was not the best, to begin with The photos on the page have nothing to do with the hotel, the person who welcomes you, Rony, is very kind and serves you breakfast every day but he is always in a hurry to let you go and they can make your room and breakfast , everything in a hurry . It all started when we arrived, our reservation had a room with a futon that accommodated 4 people and the room did not have it and they fixed it with an extra bed but in the end the owner wanted to charge a lot of money for the extra bed, by telling her that we were not going to pay for it because it was not fair, she started to shout out loud!!!! and say that she was doing us a favor( we paid almost €4,000, for 2 rooms 3 days , believe me NOT A FAVOR) the treatment was terrible, we will never return and I do not recommend it
- Jonathon (10/5): Jewish or not, the Jewish Quarter is the place to stay - Lively neighborhood located close to all of the sites. Even this very building has a ton of history, albeit tragic, to dive in to. Several restaurants right outside the doorstep. Personally made breakfast for you right outside your room every morning. Great communication and they would even get us a taxi since we didn't know about using the ITtaxi app. The elevator is very awkward at check in/check out with your luggage but thats not a big deal
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Really great location easy walking distance even with children to the main sites.
The street itself is full of character,
has great restaurants to eat at, outside or inside, and very pedestrian friendly.
The room was spacious and very nice too.
- Cahatia (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Fantastic walking distance to all attraction and if you keep kosher is heaven they offer kosher breackfast the place is completely kosher. They offer a culinary kosher tour that is worth it to try.
- Glen (9/5): Superb - Great breakfast, very friendly staff and very accommodating. Little noisy at end of night due to restaurants moving tables and chairs
- David (10/5): Amazing location and great B&B. - Location could not be better for the Ghetto; Very kind and friendly staff; Breakfasts really excellent; Property was clean and nicely renovated; Overall an amazing stay and we couldn't have had a better base. No complaints
- Moshe (10/5): Exceptional -
