We enjoyed cocktails in the entrance bar which was an attractive room with wonderful ceiling detail. We were welcomed into the Restaurant and congratulated on our anniversary. Dinner was delicious - we tasted the Pithivier, fish and steak - all cooked to perfection. The desserts were equally lovely. Our waiter, Andres, was friendly, efficient and went to lengths to ensure we had everything we needed at all times. He then surprised me with some flowers and a board with anniversary greetings and a chocolate treat. There was a good buzz and atmosphere, the restaurant, lobby and amenities were spotless. All the staff were professional, warm and welcoming. In all a memorable evening for all the right reasons. Thank you all.

- Baij_Patel (10/5): A Golden Ticket Stay at The London EDITION - I finally ticked The London EDITION off my list with a stay in November, and I’m still wondering why it took me so long. I’ve walked past this Berners Street beauty countless times, but stepping inside was a very pleasant surprise — this hotel seriously delivers. The first impression is instantly impressive. The lobby is vast, elegant and effortlessly stylish, and with a towering Christmas tree in place during my stay, it felt especially magical. The layout is intuitive: the bar to the left, the restaurant to the right, and reception straight ahead. It’s polished without being intimidating — very EDITION. I can’t recall the exact room category I booked (most likely a Deluxe King), but on arrival the room wasn’t quite ready. No problem at all — I left my suitcase with reception, headed out, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a text by 1:40pm letting me know the room was ready. Seamless and thoughtful service like this always scores highly with me. The lifts are located just beyond reception, past a corridor where you’ll spot a moody, speakeasy-style bar on the left — all deep tones, leather armchairs and intimate vibes — with the lift lobby opposite. It’s a lovely preview of the hotel’s layered personality. My room was bright, calm and beautifully designed, with light wood walls and floors giving it an airy, modern feel. One of my favourite touches was the welcome card — but the real standout was the **Willy Wonka chocolate bar** waiting on the desk. Unwrap it and you *might* find a golden ticket… which I did! Whether this is clever marketing or sheer luck remains to be seen, but the prize is access to a special bar experience that I won’t spoil here. Let’s just say: absolutely use it. Although I didn’t spend as much time in the room as I would’ve liked, it was extremely comfortable and quietly luxurious. Thoughtful details — from the artwork to the cosy faux-fur throw — made it feel warm and indulgent rather than overly formal. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar, where we were wonderfully looked after by Alkit, who added a real sense of fun and personality to the evening. There’s also a large open fire here, which is especially inviting on colder nights. We briefly checked out the speakeasy bar too — darker, moodier and ideal for intimate conversations — but for our group, the main bar had the better energy. I also took a peek into the restaurant but didn’t have time to dine there this visit. It looks stunning and refined, and it’s firmly on my list for next time. All in all, The London EDITION exceeded my expectations. Stylish, welcoming and full of personality, it’s exactly the kind of hotel I love — and I’ll definitely be back. Location is very good but the service was avatars, they did not recognise my Marriott titanium status nor despite a room category upgrade being available continued to charge me. The rooms are due an upgrade and food was average for both breakfast and lunch in Berners Tavern. There are plenty of better 5 star properties nearby for the same price, the Nomad being one of them.

In the parlance of many other experienced global travelers, I would characterize it as a terrific 4-star (plus) hotel. Pros: -Like other Editions, they do the important stuff extremely well. -Great beds, quiet/spotless rooms, and high-functioning AC/heat. -Extremely well-managed employees who seem resolutely happy to work there. -Food/drink is very good -- full stop. -Location is great, despite the increasing wear/tarnish of the Oxford Street corridor. Cons: - The room service is a bit... uneven. Room looked and was stocked a bit differently every time I returned to it. - While this isn't a super lux property, it would benefit from an eye towards making the rooms a bit more memorable/cozy(?). Last, but not least, there are many properties that basically ignore the AMEX Platinum booking add-ons, but I appreciate that this property doesn't. I've been to most Editions, and this one is... wonderful.

Before the event, Adrian had provided a seamless service. Then on the night James and his team were superb. Everyone in our company had an amazing time because the food was good and the service flawless. The ambience was great and the layout perfect.

However, vs. manitnens and service, price is high - We stayed ~8 months ago, and unfortunately, we encountered some issues that we were surprised to find unresolved during our recent visit. One of the two elevators was out of service 8 months ago during our previous stay, We were surprosed to see that the Same elevator is still not working, ~8 months later! This often resulted in long wait times, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating. Additionally, on both of the mornings we stayed, our room was not cleaned at all. We had to call the Recepation and remind the staff to clean it which was rather disappointing. Given that the cost of staying is over $1000 a night, we did not expect this level of service. to point that they gave 50BP comp, which is nice, but not reflecting the cost or the expecation from this level of hotel.

We felt like princess the entire stay! We arrived October 20th for 2 nights, I would like to highlight the exceptional work of Mark who got us to our room and explained everything and brought back extra water for us. The hotel is beautiful, the lobby is amazing. The room we got was a bit small but nicely decorated and super clean. Pillows were thin, but we just asked and they brought us firmer bigger ones.

Comfortable room on the first floor with a great bathroom and a very roomy shower. The outstanding element of this hotel is its Team; from Aiden on Reception who was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble to the amazing Pawla who ensured the Wedding Reception we were attending at the hotel ran like clockwork, yet appeared to be all working effortlessly, the Chef and Kitchen Team who provided the most exquisite Wedding Breakfast and is probably the best meal I have eaten in years along with all the Waiting Staff, who are polite, hardworking and delightful. The gentlemen on the Front Door are very helpful and great fun and finally, Michael the Concierge, who is unfailingly courteous and, as I told him, when he is seeking a new role, he should head to SCD - his cha cha steps/moves are incredible! Thank you to all mentioned and those who served us breakfast and all the housekeeping team, your efforts and hard work are sincerely appreciated.

Very well staff and they were all polite to a fault. Special mention to James at the restaurant in the morning. Delightful, gregarious and attentive. He deserves a raise. Room was delight. Le Labo amenities and gorgeous interior design to suit every Millenials dream. If and when I am back in London, I shall be staying at the London Edition. Period.

The property is tucked away on a quiet street in Soho and is a lovely unassuming yet elegant building. The lobby has ample seating which is also seating for the bar. I love what they’ve done reimagining the space for the hotel. The check-in staff were absolutely lovely and efficient. My Nightly Upgrade Award cleared three days prior to my arrival and I was awarded a Loft King room. It was a very nicely appointed room with a nice seating area, large desk, two windows and a very large bathroom. Also included was a mini bar and sizable closet. Some reviews have discussed the dark feeling of the rooms and I didn’t find that to be the case. The wood walls are a nice aesthetic but the windows let in plenty of light. I had breakfast in Berner’s Tavern, the hotel restaurant which was amazing. The decor is spot on, the service is impeccable and the food was just perfect. Wish I’d been there longer to try the restaurant for other meals. The only downside with my stay was that the room AC didn’t cool to my liking, however I’ve found this to be the case in many European hotels. I got hooked on EDITION hotels in Barcelona and am glad I tried the London property. I’ve also stayed at the JW absolutely love it too. The main difference is old world vs modern and the JW is much larger with huge rooms and a fab lounge.

He personally contacted the airport’s baggage services to track down my delayed luggage and ensured it was delivered safely. A warm and friendly yet professional greeting awaits, and the staff at reception were a delight. The building is stunning and manages to mix the old with the modern without trying to be ‘trendy’. The room I had was more than adequate and if i judged the hotel on the room alone, maybe 4 stars would be a better assessment. But this hotel is not about the fabric of the building or the size of the room - it is about the service delivered by amazing staff. Every member of staff introduced themselves and asked how I wanted to be addressed. A full breakfast room was no distraction to them and they approached my table…..knowing my name. This wasn’t one member, or someone who served me a lot - this was every member of staff, even where they only brought me an apple juice. I use hotels almost every week and have done for 15+ years and I have stayed in some great ones, but nothing has ever come close to the calm, friendly, professional and attentive service delivered by The Edition. And the food…..top marks from dinner through to breakfast. I sat near the service access from the kitchen for breakfast and every plate I saw brought out was a work of art. I will return and whilst it is at the more expensive end, it is not as expensive as many who would offer that their service is the best - well it cannot get better than my first, but not last, experience of this great hotel.

I have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world (including in London), and the London Edition is hard to beat. Everything about this hotel is truly exceptional. Starting with the staff. They are top notch. All of them. They anticipate and meet every need. The building is a gem. Especially the lobby and the restaurant. But the rooms are well designed, sufficiently spacious (by big-city standards) and very comfortable. I particularly liked that the desk in our room was long enough so both my wife and I could work there at the same time. The location is perfect if you like Soho, Covent Garden, Mayfair, and Piccadilly. The hotel and the area are bustling, so I worried at first about whether it would be noisy. Not in the slightest. I can't wait to return!

I've stayed at other Editions before and this one is feels dated and overpriced for what you get. It was a crazy packed weekend in the UK, so the rate was high-- Pride, Hyde Park Festival, Wimbledon, Formula 1. We paid 2800GBP for a 3 night stay that included a few drinks and 3 room service orders (nothing over the top with food/bev), so most of that was the room charge. Pros: Service is a 10/10 Room service food is great and fast; though I had to call as the app was not working for a 3 night stay. Annoying. The staff are all amazing -- lovely, prompt, kind and helpful. The place is very clean apart from rugs, which are light in color and probably need to be shampooed way too often. They should revamp with some darker rugs so you see less dirt/stains! Bathrooms are huge. Better than most UK/EU standards and the shower could host 4-6 adults easily. Great water pressure. Bravo! That said, the towels were pretty meh for a hotel of this standard. They need new ones. In room TV is massive. Maybe the largest I've seen in a hotel room. The AC actually works-- again, a win in a UK hotel room. The reason this is not getting a 5 star review: * The rooms are full wood paneled like a terrible gross Brady Bunch 1970s den. Who thought this was a good look on the other side of 1981? They need to update this place badly and that has to be the first thing to go. * They were so kind and gave us an upgrade when we got there (Bonvoy Gold Status). I fear what a non upgraded room size is. This room fit one king sized bed and 2 chairs. Nothing else could fit in there. * Others have complained about the room lights being nuts and they are. There is actually no bedside reading lamp. Well, there is, but it's tied to the overhead room lights, so you can't turn them off and then turn a lamp on. We had someone come to the room to try and he said... "not possible in this room." * The deal breaker... the bed is awful. One side was fully gushed in, while the other side was fine. Almost like it had a hole in it. I didn't even ask to move because I knew they were full-- it was Pride weekend and they were booked. We heard them tell several other guests this when we checked in. They need to replace the mattress in room 506 badly and told them this on the way out. I hope it was done before they let anyone else in that bed. They were apologetic, but it didn't make our room any cheaper.

He was very accommodating in regards to getting our drinks and assisting with our dinner reservation. When we went to eat the host James was super kind and showed us where to be seated. The London EDITION has a way of taking care of its guests that makes you feel like family in a subtle, authentic and refined way. As a side note, I am a well travelled, Ambassador Level Bonvoy member. The service starts well before your arrival with Felix, the Front Office Manager, reaching out personally to anticipate any needs I may have had during my stay. He was above and beyond and reflected what was yet to come at the hotel. Francesca at the front desk was gracious, warm and professional upon check-in. I was upgraded to a terrace suite that was beyond any expectation I could've imagined. I utilized the terrace daily to work, take in the fresh air and enjoy a glass of wine. Housekeeping and turn down service was some of the best I've experienced. Blanca was of particular note and exemplified the wonderful housekeeping and cleanliness of the room daily. The food and beverage outlets were another high note. Berners Tavern and the Punch Room never disappoint, but two staff in particular, Luigi in Berners and Alessandra in the Punch Room represented and reflected The London EDITION brand perfectly. Never intrusive, but always warm and welcoming, they made me feel like I was their only guest. Personal notes sent to the room acknowledging conversations was a high note and far exceeded any "norm" of customer service. Simply extraordinary! Other hotels have much to live up to if they plan to meet the expectations and service that I experienced at The London EDITION. I cannot wait for my next stay in the spring. This hotel is in a great location with many good restaurants nearby, & a short 5 minute walk from the Tottenham Court Rd. station on the Elizabeth Line, direct from Heathrow. Our room, a Deluxe King, was spacious, although the lighting was a bit complicated & created dark areas. Great shower, comfortable bed, although a bit on the soft side. Exceptional linens & bathrobe. Well functioning espresso machine & tea service in the room were appreciated. Exceptional housekeeping! The service overall was great, although at times a bit too familiar. We didn't like being repeatedly asked how we were doing & what plans we had for the day. Overall, this is a modern, energetic hotel & staff who provided a lovely experience!

- Stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with clean and neat rooms. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Punch room bar had excellent drinks and the breakfast restaurant (stunning space!) was great too. Walking distance to theater district, Soho, etc.
- leahh542 (10/5): Perfection from Start to Finish! - I cannot say a single negative thing about our stay. Perfect from start to finish. Check-in, the concierge who booked our show tickets, restaurant staff and quality of food (and the amazing Veuve cart), front doorman, lobby, the scent - everyone and everything was magical. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Everywhere was very dark including the restaurant. It was hard to read the menu. The lifts were very dark. Not enough bright lights in the room if needed.
