- Jürgen (8/5): Kein Massenhotel mit sehr guter Lage im lauten Paris - Wir hatten ein größeres Zimmer, eine Suite, die den Schlaf und den Sitzbereich getrennt hatte und auch das Bad und die Toilette, was ich angenehm empfand. Eine U-Bahnlinie ist direkt vor dem Haus, je nach Laufgeschwindigkeit ist man aber auch in 10-15 Minuten sowohl an den Galeries Lafayette oder dem Louvre. Das Frühstück ist variantenreich, liebevoll hergerichtet, qualitativ hochwertig. Das Personal an der Rezeption war immer zuvorkommend und freundlich. Paris und auch diese Gegend ist laut. Mein Zimmer hat den Lärm weitgehend weggeschluckt (manche kleinere Zimmer tun dies weniger, ich war hier auch mehrfach für Business-Kurztrips). Die Dusche ist in der Badewanne, was nicht für jeden einfach ist. Das Zimmerreinigungspersonal ist unterschiedlich höflich.

La habitación estaba muy bien y muy limpia, y la ubicación es ideal, muy céntrica y enfrente de una boca de metro. Lo recomiento sin duda. Aprovecho para dar la enhorabuena a todo el personal, se nota cuando hay gente con dedicación. Todo estuvo genial.

The location was wonderful and the room clean and spacious. The staff were always happy to help and Ishara especially went above and beyond several times to help us. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will return here myself if I am lucky enough to be in Paris again in the future.
- Excursion785992 (8/5): A Hidden gem - This is my second stay here! Hotel staff are tentative to their guest. Concierge Ishara is what brought me back for a second stay. He is an absolute gem to the hotel. Always with a smile great to great you and always ready to help. The staff made sure my room was always to my liking. Clean rooms slightly noisy if you have a street window but if you are a NYC girl like me you can sleep right through it! There are other rooms I just chose to stay where I was.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Ishara, in particular, went above and beyond!! That Gentleman is a credit to Hotel Paris Opera!! He always made himself available to us and answered all our questions. He has a very extensive knowledge of the local area and all the landmarks. He suggested restaurants and places to visit. He helped me book a lovely nighttime dinner cruise along the Seine He cared about our comfort in the hotel and was very genuine and friendly. We appreciated that he actually farewelled us when we left Paris. Thank you

- Philhelene (4/5): Not a nice hotel to stay in. - Good central location, but awful hotel room. Room had a bad drain smell and there was duck tape around the drainage pipes to the toilet, which means it must have been on ongoing problem. It was very noisy due to air conditioning vents outside the room on the 6 floor. Room was tiny with tired furnishings, no armchair, small double bed and a wall mounted TV that was jutting half way across the bathroom door. Bathroom and bedroom floor levels were different and a real trip hazard. Room was generally shabby, with a very small wardrobe located in a tiny entrance area which necessitated holding open a heavy fire door to get to the wardrobe with 7 hangers! Very odd arrangement! The shower unit was grubby and there was nowhere to rest toiletries or soap when in the shower. The two very small lifts were rickety and very slow. They could not hold more than two people, or one person with a suitcase! We asked to see other rooms, as our room on the top floor (room 606) was not at all nice and generally shabby and small apart from the hazards. We were shown 3 others which were even worse! If we wanted a nicer room we would have to pay an extra€50/night for one! This really is not a 4* hotel as stated on the front of the hotel. The only good thing bout it was the location for visiting many Paris sites.

- Z6073BEchrisp (8/5): Visiting Paris for the first time in our late sixties - The hotel was well positioned enabling us to walk to most of the attractions we wanted to visit. Our room was compact and comfortable. There is an entrance to the Metro just outside which was useful when we planned our journey to get to the station to catch the train to Versailles. The public transport is excellent and very reasonably priced. There is a wide choice of restaurants in the surrounding area of the hotel. Ishara, the concierge, was very helpful and it was a great pleasure to meet him.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Ishara was extremely helpful with all our questions and directions and we appreciated his efforts in assuring us we were satisfied with our excursions.He went out of his to make us feel at home as if we were family. The noise was a bit frustrating. Metro train and numerous bars on the street were loud, all night long. Bars open until 5 am. We just aren’t used to the Paris night life. However had a great experience in a popular and active district in Paris.

All staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble, to helping with airport transfers to advise for the Louvre - thankyou to Monica and Ishara. Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice and enough for everyone. Room was bright, airy and clean, one slight negative is the noise in the early hours from the bar next door - but it wouldn't stop us from staying again. It's right in front of a metro station, which was incredibly convenient. There's also a bus stop nearby, making it easy to get anywhere. Furthermore, the staff were all incredibly kind. I'm especially grateful to ISHARA. We stayed on a plan that included breakfast, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Next time I go to Paris, I will definitely stay here again. Atmosphere, room, cleanliness, and noise level were all excellent. Thank you Ishala ,William and everyone!! - bkln3 (2/5): Nightmare family experience - This was the most disappointing hotel stay I’ve ever had. The family room was nothing like the website pictures. We were duped. The bathroom walls were covered in mold. The bathroom window trim was rotting. The air conditioning didn’t work. It never got below 78 degrees. It was like sleeping in a sauna. The front desk wouldn’t help or assist. None of the family rooms face the street, they all face the alleyway. The ceilings felt like they were 5’ tall. Staying in a family room is a perfect way to ruin a trip to Paris.

If you are lucky, Ishara will be there to assist with any questions and give spot on suggestions. He was pleasantly helpful and showed genuine care about us. Although the street noise can be loud at times this hotel is well worth the stay.

- vickyrB486HW (10/5): City break 2026 - We have just recentiy stayed here at hotel paris opera which was a christmas present for my daughter who also turns 13 on the 8th February 2026. The staff couldn't do enough for us especially Baina and Monica who made the trip extra special by leaving balloons and macaroons for my daughters birthday. The hotel is very central and within walking distance of the main attractions. It was a little noisy at night but what can you expect being cental in a busy popular place like Paris Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. - luci321 (4/5): Average but great location - I think there’s a reason they don’t advertise the single rooms. It was tiny. Shoebox. And not cheap. And the cleaners really let this place down sadly. The location is close to La Fayette, walk distance to Montmarte and two train stations making it easy to get around. Staff were pleasant and helpful. But the room was hot- and very small. Even with a single bed. The cleaners never replaced water or the tea, or vacuumed. And at least three times left the window in the room open when i was out (which didn’t feel very safe with my belongings).

Has a taxi stand right in front of the door, carrefour city nearby and lots of food options in the neighbourhood. The family room has coffee machine. Its not a dislike but just letting others know it is an old building with retrofit elevators (small ones).

- cornetplayer (4/5): Room Tired and Outside Noise Horrendous - We booked this hotel as we are Melia circle members and all our experiences at other Melia hotels have been positive and we expected the same. +ves - The hotel is well located for getting around Paris and in particular because a Metro station is located literally outside the door. The lobby area is small but welcoming and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast if you book it is small but sufficient before a day sightseeing or shopping. -ves - Our room was situated on the front of the hotel with a nice view of the street. It was very clean but looked very, very tired. It looked like work had been done some time ago to modernise it, but it really needs to be done again and better. Unfortunately the noise in the room at night from outside is horrendous. There is an Irish pub next door and many bars around. The noise is relentless until about 4 to 5 am. Easily the worst 2 nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. I understand the hotel can’t do much about this (sound proof glazing?) but if staying there ask if there is a rear facing room. We were lucky to have paid for the hotel with our Melia points, if we had paid money we would definitely have been annoyed. If you are looking for a city break - avoid!

He advised us on many things so friendly, making sure that everything was exactly as we wanted truly a gem of your property. The reason this is not a five star review. The rooms are small elevators are even smaller, limited toiletries a lot of doors. I would’ve liked to had a full-service restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was very nice lots of choices, but it would be a nice if there was an opportunity to have a cocktail in the evening and maybe a snack versus having to go out.

Especially Azor. Azor was very kind, friendly and very approachable. He went out of his way to get us the transportation we needed and also gave us good directions/recommendations. - 690BarbaraB690 (10/5): Fabulous experience - This is a lovely hotel. The staff is amazing, as are the accommodations. Very clean room and practically soundproof. We couldn't hear any other hotel guests nor any of the nightlife unless the balcony door was open. We found the Premium King room to be spacious (small toilet room), and the shower pressure was impressive. The bath towels were huge and smelled heavenly. I've never experienced hotel towels like these!! Bed was very comfy. The only downside is that there are no drawers to unpack your clothes. We were there for 11 nights and had to live out of suitcase for anything that didn't hang up. The hotel would do its guests a favor to eliminate the armoire with the ironing board and install drawers instead. Also, an additional hook on the back of the bathroom door would be very handy. The breakfast buffet is very nice, but don't include it in your reservation. There are so many cafes close by to eat for much less money. Anything you need can be requested of the staff. We asked for more hangers and a floor fan and were supplied immediately. While the entire staff is an asset to Melia, Ishara was a shining star. He helped us with reservations and suggestions of places to go. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone.

He helped us plan every day how to get around, provided excellent tips, and was just so charming and sweet. Excellent central location, close to Galeries LaFayettes, Opera hop on and off bus, 15 min walk to Louvre. The room itself was VERY comfy, the bed is just like my very expensive one at home. It doesn't move when the other person gets up. Four very large body pillows provided. Soft and comfy sheets and towels. Not scratchy in any way!! The café and breakfast are not good. Bad coffee and cold sausages. Thats one area they could improve. But who cares when you are surrounded by incredible cafes on all sides!!

The hotel was wonderful and our room was big enough for the 3 of us. There is a metro located right in front of the hotel and good restaurants and things to see very near. We had a great time and are very appreciative for all of the help from Ishara, who made sure we got to where we wanted to be every day. We would definitely stay here again.
