• ateet_sri (10/5): Great location, well connected, walkable, value for money, good room size for a family - Beautiful property, best location, walkable from major transport hub, accessible to Roma termini, Metro station and Bus terminal each. Good room size for a family, the furnishing looks dated but still neat and clean and well maintained. The breakfast is complimentary but limited menu/ variety, still sufficient to start your day.
• A6967OLnigelc (10/5): Lovely hotel in a good location - Great hotel in a convenient location close to the main train and bus station and only 10 minutes walk into the city centre. Lovely marble interior. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Manu on reception and the lovely lady serving breakfast. It was great to have the news channel on a big TV in the breakfast room. Room was adequate, requires a little updating but fine for the price. The only improvement would be a duvet as it was cold at night and the blankets were thin. The luggage store was very convenient on check out day. Overall a really good hotel.
• mariabW4072LJ (10/5): Wonderful time in rome with pleasant people and clean hotel - I know this is not a 5 star hotel but the staff definitely deserve a 5 star rating as does the breakfast which is a continental breakfast. All the staff are welcoming. Rooms and beds made every day with clean towels. Foyer is lovely. Has a lift to your floor and a lift down to breakfast. Hotel was full the whole time we were there. That says plenty.

Located in a pretty part of Rome a short stroll from the train station and surrounded by some lovely restaurants. The hotel was a little tired, but the staff were friendly and attentive.

• GLN807 (6/5): Great Location and Service, but Needs Some Maintenance - The hotel is centrally located near Termini Station, making it very convenient for access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. Given its prime location in Rome, the prices are quite reasonable. We booked our stay via email and received an immediate confirmation, which was appreciated. The reception and restaurant staff were all very helpful and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. However, the hotel does show signs of wear and could benefit from some maintenance and a general facelift. For example, the TV antenna wasn’t working during our stay, which was a minor inconvenience. With some updates and repairs, this hotel has the potential to be an excellent place to stay in Rome. For now, it's a solid choice for location and service, with room for improvement.

• Jennie (2/5): - Omg where do I start, never been so disappointed in a hotel in my life. We arrived and the room was supposed to be clean and ready. We walked in and wouldn't sleep on the sheets as the room was so dirty. We complained to the desk that someone left an old suitcase in the room but they didn't care. The dust was so thick. The place was so gross never again would I ever think or send anyone there. Please take them off your list my friends took pictures of the grossness. To pay over 1000 dollars for 3 nights was the biggest waste. I just can't believe the filth.

• deacastelli (2/5): Rude staff! Horrible service/management and they'll lie to you! - I was stranded in another city due to a flood. All transportation services (buses and trains) were not working in the whole region due to the flood. I only booked this hotel so I could sleep during the night before my early morning flight. As soon as I got a message from Trenitalia informing of the flood I called the hotel and spoke to the manager Alex who told me he could refund me the money, because it was a flood (it wasn't my fault). He first lied and told me to call Agoda to solve the issue because they had the money, not the hotel. Agoda told me it was the hotel decision to refund me or not. He asked me to send and email with all the information on the news regarding the flood, which I did. He then disappeared, never answered my calls again. I spoke to another lady at the night shift. She very rudely, while I was trying to explain the whole situation told me she could not refund me (even though the manager told me he would) and she had better things to do. I've lost the whole day calling Agoda and the hotel. In the end, I learned the hotel is the one that makes the decision, not Agoda as the manager informed me (because he was trying to get rid of the problem since I was leaving the country and would not be able to solve the issue anymore). He never replied to my email or answered any of my calls after that. Even though it was a natural disaster situation. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone for the way staff treats their guests, being rude and lying to them.
• SteveDY2018 (2/5): Past Sell By Date & BEWARE - Expected a 3-star hotel, however, it was, old, out dated, worn out and very much a disappointment. It is definitely NOT worth a one star let alone a three star as promoted. The photos management promote are certainly not showing the reality. Our photos attached. BEWARE - WORSE - the fact that there was CCTV cameras in the room and bathroom. We covered them over and thinking what perverts required these installed. The mattress, bedding sheets, towels and furniture generally were old and tatty. No fridge, no tea, kettle, cups or what you would expect of a three star hotel. Some areas were a little dirty. Lift very old and the 3rd floor light didn't work. The heating didn't come on during the night and hence we had to ask for maintenance to check heating and to provide a blanket. We declined to have breakfast at an extra charge of 5 Euros. Breakfast in a scruffy basement wasnt the way to start the day and there was building works going on. DESPITE THIS REVIEW, the staff were 5-Star! Exceptionally helpful, kind and delivered. Bravo to the reception staff! Shame they have to work in an old, worn out dated hotel that was probably beautiful in its day.

• Trip26695268748 (2/5): BEDBUGS BEDBUGS BEDBUGS - This is the absolute worst experience I've had with a hotel. It started with the ac not working and the the electricity went out and came back 3 or 4 times and our room, didn't have wifi for the afternoon until the next day. And the hotel staff came to our room and checked out that it wasn't working and confirmed it and called the wifi company to come to fix it and no one came. Then finally they themselves somehow after I got upset in front of people checked in they magically fix it themselves. They just keep telling me to sit in the lobby to use the wifi. Then we found bedbugs in the bed. And the only thing the very very rude staff did was change the sheets. I contacted hotell.com they helped us with emailing the manager and trying to get us a refund because we wanted to leave after that. The next day the manager comes in and started arguing with us and keeps on calling me a lair because apparently I lied that the wifi wasn't working and then I didn't apparently want to resolve the bedbug issue and then the staff checked us out without us knowing whikes we were talking to hotels.com trying to figure out what to do and tolds to leave without a resolution and we had to involve the police to get ethiter a room or a refund. The manger is the worst and he keept on making fun of us in other languages and called me and my mother crazy and lairs to other customers. Don't waste your money and sanity on this nightmare.
• moncheh (4/5): Not recommended at all! - This hotel is a 3-star hotel, but in our opinion, it does not deserve this rating because it is too dirty and old. The staff are not friendly or helpful enough. The breakfast is not very good. The rooms are a bit dirty, and the air conditioner has no remote control, so you need to call them if you want to adjust the temperature. The mattress are dirty, the are some shampoos inside paper packet and not even enough for a person . Balcony is too dirty.The elevator is so small that only two people can fit inside. They were doing some renovations, and we could not use the elevator. Also, you need to carry your luggage up some stairs to reach the reception, and there is no easy access for luggage. The location is near Termini (train station). You can take buses to go to the city center and visit the attractions. I have attached some photos as examples so you can decide for yourself whether it is worth the price.

• Thomas (6/5): Good location - The hotel was hard to find due to its location behind some construction and found the rates were expensive compared to what I got from other European cities like Prague so this may be a Rome thing. It was a 10min walk from the termini train station which made it easy to get around once you get used to the hotel’s location. The main downside I had was the lack of space to put your stuff and the lack of chargers near the bed. Location would be the main reason you’d choose this hotel since we pretty much walked everywhere from this hotel (eg 20min walk to Colloseum)

• Kori (6/5): Ok stay - The home was fine. Room was clean. I liked that the towels were extra large, unlike the bathroom, which was very small. The bed was hard, but not bad. The breakfast was good. The pastries were fresh and delicious. The location was close to a main train station, which is very helpful.

• Garrett (2/5): Stay away! - AWFUL!(Wont let me add photos)Our experience at this hotel was extremely terrible. My husband and I have been traveling for three months, and this was by far the worst experience (and we have a high tolerance). We decided to spend a bit more on this hotel due to its "three-star" rating. There was only one person at the front desk to assist all guests in all matters. When we reached our room, it was 78 degrees, current heat wave in Rome. We attempted to lower the temperature, but the air conditioning was not functioning. We reported this to the front desk, and the attendant promised to check on it. However, no one came. An hour later, the room temperature had risen to 80 degrees. A new person at the front desk informed us that nothing could be done—there were no other rooms available, and no maintenance staff on site. I requested a fan so we could at least open the window for some air, but the attendant explained that management had repeatedly denied such requests. This indicated to me that the air conditioning issue was a known and unresolved problem. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi did not work, and there was a leak from the bathroom vent that caused water to rain down all over the bathroom, the entire time. Our complaints about these issues were dismissed by the hotel staff. Hotels.com, on the other hand, responded promptly and tried to assist us. Unfortunately, it was too late that night to resolve the situation, but they are currently assisting us in battling the hotel
• Jorge Luis (8/5): - Not very fancy, but for what time you plan on spending in the room, it’s great. $5 breakfast downstairs which includes bread and coffee and some sort of sandwiches which aren’t great, but it’ll do specially for $5. A/C in the room gets a 6/10 as it’s not very cool, but it’ll do. Wished it was colder when it was really hot though. The bathroom is nice and clean. The shower is great with a ton of water pressure. Area is excellent and you can walk to Roma Termini in 5 minutes.

However, in room 404, the bathroom walls, sink and shower were completely full of mold. This room should not be rented until the mold is completely removed. We should have complained to management to get a different room, but we were tired and we didn't complain.

• Yaniel (2/5): - I have to say this is my first negative review in any hotel I ever stayed, but I have to share my experience. This was the most horrible place to stay in all my entire life! First, pictures are not the same as in real life. EVERYTHING in the hotel was dirty, from the lobby to the room. even the towels, the bed sheets, carpet and curtains were stained. Dust and spider web every where, and the air ducts in the room had dust. The bathroom had mold every where. There is not clean air to breath in that room, and its smelled like it was never cleaned in decades. Everything inside, including the curtains, carpet, chandelier, and the decorative paint, was extremely old to the point the carpet lost its color, and stink with an old odor, which was very hard to ignore, and it was bothering us all the time we stayed. We brought our concern to change rooms, but with not success. Be aware that you will experience all this if you decide to stay in that hotel, even more in a season where you can not go to another hotel, because they are all booked due to high season.
• Jane (6/5): The minuses outweigh the pluses - We stayed here only one night, because our flight had been cancelled. The staff was excellent and friendly. The room seemed to be decorated with garage sale furniture. All the towels were from other hotels. The mattress under the sheets looked like a crime scene. The breakfast consisted of either bread with jam or two slices of cheese and two slices of ham. Nice pastries though

The housekeeper and the person working serving the breakfast are awesome, no complaints about them. Other than that is a nice area, very central, secure....

• Paul (8/5): Roman holiday - The property is a little older and the beds were a bit creaky and could use a replacement, but the staff was incredible and the location can’t be beat. We were three blocks from Termini station which is a short express train ride from the airport and connects to the metro for going to the Vatican, etc. The Colosseum was within walking distance as was Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Plenty to see, eat, and shop right by the property. The room was large and fit our family of five easily. From check in to breakfast every morning and checkout when the clerk watched our bags while we went across the street to eat lunch before getting on the train, we were well taken care of.

The condition of the room and bathroom was very poor the carpet was worn, the bath and toilet had chips that had been filled in. All that said the continental breakfast was good and the male staff member looking after it was very good everything was cleared quickly and all food never ran low.
• Landon (10/5): Good Hotel, Great Location. - This hotel was a lifesaver. Our other booking canceled our stay because our flight was delayed and we were unable to check in on time. We booked with Giglio dell’Opera on the app and they were perfectly accommodating. The room was standard size for Europe but had everything you need. The bed was a bit firm, but not bad. The breakfast served in the morning was great and you cannot beat the location — only 5 minutes to the main train station and metro. Also, the area around the hotel was full of great restaurants so food was never an issue! Overall, great stay.
• Alison (8/5): Friendly hotel stay in Rome - The hotel was perfectly placed for arrival at the main railway station. It took 3 minutes to walk there. The hotel was clean and the reception staff and room staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I hadn't booked a twin room for myself and my daughter the man on reception changed it to suit us better at his suggestion, which was great. It was however quite a walk to the main attractions in Rome but we enjoyed the sights en route.
• Renee (6/5): - It was ok. Nicely decorated, but on closer inspection it seems our room could have used some work. Tons of scuffs and weird stains on the wall and peeling paint in the bathroom. Something was leaking, so that in the morning, there was a huge puddle on the bathroom floor. The elevator was incredibly small (fire code limit was 4 people) so we resorted to taking our luggage down the stairs on our own to avoid lining up. And the breakfast buffet wasn't the most appetizing; we actually skipped it in the end. We may have been overly judgemental because we were at the end of our trip and a bit tired, but overall we weren't too thrilled.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great location -- near Termini Train Station - Great location -- near Termini Train Station and therefore able to arrive anywhere using the busses, trains or subway system quickly! The hotel is very moderate in terms of provisions, but the price and location are worth it. Walkable to Coloseum and other sites.
• Russ (10/5): Central to all sights - My second stay at this hotel, staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much for them. Rooms are ok, meet my needs, but as a guy, I only need a bed and on that basis my than meet my expectations. All attraction sites are within walking distance, with the Vatican being the furthest and only 30 min walk, ex-military so maybe a march rather than a walk, but all very do-able 👍👍👍👍👍
• Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel Room Accommodations - Unsuitable - The entrance to the hotel and lobby were pretty nice, but the male front counter attendant was missing customer service skills. The hotel room was completely unsuitable for hotel guess. The carpet it seems that it was not vacuum in months (you can see finger nails on carpet), wall paper peeling in some areas, wall base board pieces missing. The closet door lock was missing. The bed sheets were clean, but the blue thin quilts were old and not clean. Shower facet was leaking. You had to press a metallic button to flush the toilet a few times to get it to work. Over entrance door and over bathroom window it had what appear like a camera eye with a red and at times with a green indicator light (I was able to cover the eye with a piece of an old sticker that was already around the cam area). When I requested clean towels and extra soap they were brought up to the room within reasonable time. Breakfast options were limited & room looks clean. Perhaps this hotel appearance was nice years ago, but now it's truly in need of extensive work. Location of the hotel is very close to Roma Termini, Restaurants, Hop On & Hop Off main stop, CO-OP Supermarket, but unfortunately very disappointing over all.
• Den (10/5): 4night stay - We have just had four nights here with our two grandaughters in a family room.The room was a good size clean and beds comfortablle.Breakfast was basic but enough for us.The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.The hotel is a very short walk from the train and bus terminals which was ideal for us.Its well situated for getting to all the attractions and has loads of good eating places all close by.If you want a reasonably priced hotel then this fits the bill perfectly.Would reccommend this hotel.

• Blair (6/5): Rome may 2017 - The hotel was in a good location, nice and close to the hop on hop off bus stop and to the main train and bus terminal. The hotel downstairs in foyer and reception is great. Helpful staff they were always there to help you, the price was really good per night if you have a tight budget it was spot on, these are the pro's now the con's the rooms are OK but need some tlc however the bathrooms were the big let down they were below a decent standard, to use the toilet you have to sit under the sink which is very difficult to do your business and it leaked constantly which they came and looked at but could not fix, the shower head wouldn't stay up so I had to hold it and try and shower at the same time and they are very old, and my sons room was the same, they need to do something about this asap, because it really detracts from the overall quality which could be great value for money if this was better. I like it but just a little dissapointed.

• gina (6/5): Best described more like a bed & breakfast - When we arrived late at night the first thought was oh no where am I staying. All you see is graffiti on the exterior walls of surrounded buildings. The front desk seemed to be in the middle of upgrading. The room although pleasantly large had water damage and mold. I was highly disappointed that they would allow this and put my family in this environment at over $385 per night. In the USA it would have been banned. The wi-Fi they advertise was very very limited depending on where you stand in your room. The baths & towels were clean. Very nice complementary morning breakfast was one of the best features. If you want simple with limited service but stay down town walking distance to most things this might be okay. Surrounding restaurants were wonderful. Close to most services you will need. If you can get for the $89 per night they first advertise it might be worth the price. Don't add or subtract a day, Travelocity with Jack your price up and you will pay triple without even knowing what has happened.
• Solomon (4/5): Very average hotel but in a handy location. - Dreadful from the start as staff quite arrogant and supposedly giving us the best room in the house. Unfortunately not the case as the shower flooded the bathroom and all we were offered were more floor mats. Front desk staff pretended he didn't understand English but when when it came to charging 4 Euros tax per person per night his English was very good.

• Galina (10/5): Nice hotel, great location. - This is a basic clean hotel, with AC, Wi-Fi and basic necessities. Great location, very close to Termini station and walking distance to all main attractions (10-15 min). Nice and helpful staff. We stopped for 1 night before our flight home, but wood return.
• John (4/5): Like a fish description on a menu - - About 1.5 miles from major attractions. - Huge clunky room keys and a grumpy staff - Room was decent sized. - pillows were ok but the bed was a rock. I had to sleep laying on 6 pillows to prevent back pains (6 foot 195 pounds) - AC was broken and the road outside was incredibly noisy (cars honking, motorcycles, bums arguing, garbage trucks at 2am, construction) - Continental breakfast is some pastries, ham, cheese and boiled eggs - In-room wifi only worked on one item and was slow but good signal strength - room had a safe and fridge which was nice. - there was a small elevator for bags
• Joel (6/5): Good hotel for the price. Great location. - We stayed at the hotel twice. When we first arrived in Italy and also when we came back from Pisa. The room we got on our first stay was better than the one we got when we came back from staying in Pisa. The mattress was uncomfortable both times. On our first stay the television in the room did not work. We were told by the front desk to shake the box with the wires behind the t.v. to get it to work. Pointless. Anyway, we didn't come to Italy to stay in the hotel room. Other than that, this hotel stay was good. It is in a great location. We were able to walk to the Colossium, the Spanish steps, and Piazza Navona. We are walkers, so this was nothing for us. There a many restaurants and a few places to shop near the hotel.

• sara (6/5): Good location, terrible room and service - Staff were not friendly or accommodating. Our bathroom smelled like raw sewage the entire time. Close to Roma termini train station and near all buses for major attractions however not worth the price
• Verified traveler (8/5): Proximity to transportation and shopping areas. - The hotel staff are very friendly and very cooperative. In our room the bed old was very uncomfortable, there was broken chair in the room and one of the staff took it but he did not replace it, the bed cover was very dirty, the shower was not comfortable but the room was clean. The break fast was good enough, the juice was almost water and sugare specially the pineapple juice.
• Roy (8/5): A lovely hotel situated in the city centre. - My son and I stayed here for a week in a double room. The room was large and cleaned everyday. There was only one problem the bathroom door was missing. Normally I would have complained but we had already unpacked and didn't fancy packing again. The hotel is in the centre of Rome and within walking distance of most things. Even though it's in the centre it's really quiet. If I'm ever in Rome again I'll be wanting to stay here.

• barn1 (6/5): excellent welcome, large room - Was dubious after reading the reviews but I was very happy. I arrived at 1am & the night staff (i forget his name) couldn't have given me a better welcome for that time of night. I even got a choice of rooms that I was allowed to check before deciding. The room was clean & spacious although the bathroom a little cramped, the other room I saw was smaller but had a better bathroom layout. WiFi in the room. Breakfast was a small buffet, no hot food but normal for this price range. Close to termini so not too far from main points of interest.

• Paul (6/5): Well located hotel regarding public transport. - I found that the great advantage of the hotel was that ,with nearby metro lines and bus services, it was very accessible to most places of interest in Rome. I also enjoyed evening meals at a few quite passable restaurants in the vicinity, where prices were very reasonable and service first-class. However, since I was travelling alone, I was quite happy to put up with one or two annoyances within the hotel, that other guests might have found unacceptable, e.g. the TV and its zapper didn't work, (the latter was broken), and the bulb in the bedside lamp was broken, making bedside reading impossible. I have only myself to blame for not complaining, but I would have thought a cleaner or other member of the hotel staff would have picked this up before making the room available (perhaps the guest before me didn't complain either). Breakfast was inadequate in terms of choice, quantity and quality..
• Paulus J (4/5): Cheap hotel, yes cheap - Just the regular cheap hotel where they don't mind never seeing you ever again. Overflowing bath room, resulting in rotting smell, who cares.
