• Laia (9/5): Super agradable - La zona en la que estaba, super céntrica. El personal super amables. El edificio es muy bonito, y tiene una terraza espectacular. Nos tocó en el 1er piso, y justo al lado hay un bar de copas, por lo que por la noche se escuchaba la fiesta. Entre semana acababan pronto, pero el viernes alargaron hasta pasada medianoche, y es un poco molesto.

• Suk mei amy (6/5): It’s a boutique hotel. Don’t except much. - Room is spacious. Location is good, about 8 mins walking distance to subway. Close to broadway Times Square. They have a nice roof top view, but no drinks provided. The reception lady,Mia is very pleasant and helpful. The room has no writing desk and the door is noisy while closing. We stayed at 1/F, can smell stinky smells. Only the first day provides 2 bottles of water. The most unpleasant thing is “no lobby “ . Quite disappointed! Breakfast is simple only breads, cold spoil eggs, bananas, apples and yogurt.

• Yulia (10/5): Fabulous hotel in best location - Charming small hotel in fantastic location, close to Times Square, Broadway theaters, and all main attractions. Big room with a huge and very comfortable bed, very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff amazing, breakfast included and delicious, especially walnut muffins. By next time in New York, this is my place of choice. The only minus was noise on Friday night from the bars on the street where hotel is located, but this is not a problem of hotel:) We had a wonderful stay though and would come again.
• Dr. Markus (10/5): Kleines, feines und ruhiges Hotel in perfekter Lage - Ein kleines, aber feines Hotel, kein Schnickschnack, aber alles da, was man braucht. Das Frühstück, nicht überladen, aber mit Obst, Müsli, Saft und Toast durchaus in Ordnung, wird in der angrenzenden Bar angeboten, was ein großer Vorteil hinsichtlich zeitlichem und finanziellem Aufwand ist. Unsere Familiensuite war sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Raumaufteilung mit zwei Schlafzimmern, zwei Bädern, einem Wohnzimmer und einer kleinen Küchenzeile perfekt; die Krönung war der riesige Balkon, weg von der Straße, ruhig, einfach alles ideal. Fußläufig sind sowohl der Times Square als auch die Waterfront gut erreichbar, auch alle öffentlichen Verbindungen sind nah. Vom Hotel aus Joggen am Morgen im Central Park ist der perfekte Start in den Tag. Es gibt eine kleine Rooftopbar, die wir aufgrund der Temperaturen im April allerdings nicht nutzen konnten. Unzählige Restaurants, Imbisse und Bars sind in der Gegend, ebenso wie der Broadway mit seinen Shows. Zusammenfassend hätten wir es nicht besser treffen können. Insgesamt ist das Preisniveau in New York jenseits jeglicher Vorstellung.

• Duvall (8/5): A unique and comfortable stay with kind, helpful staff - All the staff members were encountered were very nice and helpful. The room was nicely decorated, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. This wasn't the hotel's fault, but there was loud, booming music coming into the room well past midnight. Our 9-year-old couldn't get to sleep. It's to be expected in a hotel in NYC, but being offered earplugs or maybe staying on a higher floor could have helped. If we stayed again, we'll bring other noise cancellation options and maybe ask about a possibly quieter room.

• Stephan (10/5): Einfach nur perfekt. Besser geht’s nicht. - Wir hatten eine absolut traumhafte Zeit im Hotel Scherman in New York. Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das gesamte Team ist außergewöhnlich herzlich, aufmerksam und schafft es, eine persönliche Atmosphäre zu erzeugen, die man in einer so großen Stadt wie New York nicht unbedingt erwartet. Das Hotel selbst ist wunderschön: stilvoll, gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Lage ist ideal, um New York zu entdecken, und gleichzeitig hat man einen ruhigen, angenehmen Rückzugsort mitten in der Stadt. Nur 5 Gehminuten vom Timessquare, ist es hier wunderbar ruhig. Dazu ist das Hotel auch nicht zu groß. Wir haben so viel zu Fuß erreichen können. Highlight ist die Dachterasse 😍. Mit wunderbaren Rundum Blick auf die umliegenden Hochhäuser 🤩. Tolle Möbel laden dazu ein, sich etwas To Go zu besorgen und es auf der Dachterrasse zu essen. Auch das Frühstück haben wir jeden Tag genossen. Die Atmosphäre war einfach fantastisch 🤩. Dazu die schöne Musik und die lieben Mitarbeiter 😍. Es gab genügend Auswahl, uns hat es an Nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns jeden Morgen auf das Frühstück gefreut. Für uns steht fest: Wenn wir wieder nach New York reisen, dann nur ins Hotel Scherman. Wir könnten uns ehrlich gesagt kein besseres Hotel vorstellen. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team, das unseren Aufenthalt so besonders und unvergesslich gemacht hat. Ihr habt New York für uns noch schöner gemacht. ./.

The breakfast was disappointing and the coffee was low. The gentleman just stared at me trying to fill my cup instead of getting more coffee. Padded mattress covers would be a nice touch too as the beds are a bit firm.
• Marjon (10/5): Geweldig sfeervol en fijn hotel - In de afgelopen 25 jaar in vele hotels in New York verbleven maar dit hotel was echt bijzonder. De locatie is geweldig vlakbij Times Square op Restaurant Row en toch ‘s nachts heel rustig. De kamers zijn heel sfeervol ingericht en het personeel is altijd vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hadden heel veel geluk dat we een upgrade kregen naar een suite met balkon. Wat een uitzicht en beleving! We hebben al aan veel vrienden dit hotel aanbevolen. Ik kan niets bedenken.

Every staff member was kind and welcoming, and I felt very taken care of. The mezzanine space was gorgeous also and I appreciated the breakfast. A wonderful experience the whole stay.

• Julia (9/5): It was very comfortable, the perfect place to meet up with my elderly father. - We were in the penthouse 2-bedroom suite (with one bathroom). It was nicely laid out, nicely decorated, and had a wonderful private outdoor area which we enjoyed. The TV was hard to control.

• Meredith (10/5): Delightful Short Stay - The room was delightful. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel location was also a plus. it was conveniently located to my places of interest and food and beverage. The street below got a bit loud with people passing by after late night activities.

• Regula (10/5): Es war perfekt! - Das Hotel ist sehr zentral. Der Timesquare ist nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar, trotzdem wars sehr ruhig. In dieser Strasse gibt es viele diverse Restaurants und Bars. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Zimmer sauber.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and were cleaned daily, very spacious, and had everything one would need, down to the umbrellas. The customer service was beyond excellent. My boyfriend and I travel often and we were both very impressed by this property. We will certainly be back and will send all our friends. Nothing

• Kenneth (10/5): Incredible what more can we say. - My wife and I stayed at Hotel Scherman from the 19th to the 22nd of April, arriving from Philadelphia after attending my wife’s sister’s wedding. Prior to this, we had stayed at the Hilton Alloy DoubleTree in King of Prussia, where the room was significantly larger, but that’s where the comparison ends. Hotel Scherman may offer more compact rooms, but what it delivers in comfort, atmosphere, and service far outweighs any difference in size. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional, welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their level of care truly made our stay feel personal and effortless. Breakfast each morning was another highlight: fresh, well-prepared, and served in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. It was a stark contrast to our previous experience elsewhere, where long waits took away from what should have been a simple pleasure. What stands out most about Hotel Scherman is that everything just works. It’s thoughtfully run, immaculately kept, and full of warmth. We genuinely could not fault it and would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others. There was nothing we did not like.

• Julien (9/5): Exceptionnel ! Juste, parfait ! - L’emplacement est exceptionnel à proximité de Timesquare ! L’ambiance, décor, est soignée. La rooftop est superbe. Le bar accolé est très agréable. Tout est vraiment très bien pour séjourner à NY et pour se poser après de longues journées de visite. La rue est très vivante, cela engendre des nuisances sonores.

The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The room was also very spacious for new york hotels, and I appreciate that they do daily housekeeping. None!
• Joyce (10/5): - Hotel Scherman was an excellent hotel to stay in the big apple while seeing a Broadway show. The hotel is beautiful and clean. I loved the breakfast in the mezzanine. The rooftop terrace is so pretty and a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the views. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the tiling in the bathroom. I loved everything about this stay. I will choose this hotel again in the future for New York City trips.

• Andrea (10/5): Wir würden sofort wieder hier buchen !!!! - Super nette Mitarbeiter, saubere Zimmer , ca 6 min zum Time Square zu Fuß , Frühstück sehr ausreichend , bequeme Betten , trotz Lage echt ruhig ( wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof ) , sehr schöne kleinere Dachterasse zum entspannen oder Kaffee trinken oder auch zum Essen ( darf man mitnehmen ) , Zimmer mit Kaffeemaschine ( die Cups werden täglich aufgefüllt ), tägliche Reinigung der Zimmer , großes Bad mit Dusche Nichts

• Robert (10/5): Truly Exceeded By Expectations - by a huge margin! - Communication with the Hotel Scherman leading up to our stay was really good, but when we checked-in, Jerry at the front desk told us that we could have an upgraded room provided we were ok with stairs. We are in our mid-60s, but stairs are no issue, so we said yes please! The room took my breath away. It was gorgeous. I didn't have high expectations for a mid-range priced room in the centre of Manhattan, but this was like a suite - huge, bright, well-appointed and just beautiful. Hotel Scherman really exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone!
