• Seran (10/5): - The room was more spacious than expected, and the furniture was beautiful. It was within walking distance from the station and also close to a market, so we were able to cook simple meals. A kind and cheerful host welcomed us. He even shared pizza with us and was flexible with the checkout time. We were also able to leave our luggage there. Thank you.

• joao carlos (8/5): - Da localização perto da estação de termini. O proprietário é muito atencioso e simpático deixou ficar a bagagem por umas horas. Sempre muito prestável. O apartamento é um pouco datado, o edifício também, então a casa de banho precisa de reforma ,a casa de banho é partilhada com outro hóspede e por este facto achei o preço um pouco desproporcional porque pelas fotos não parecia tão datado.

• Ben (10/5): Exactly as described and very pleasant! - Exactly as described - we were actually pleasantly surprised that the bathroom was only shared between two rooms. Great location, easy to get to from the main train / bus station which has transport to/from both airports and all the sights. The host was great and we were able to leave our bags at the apartment before our evening flight

• William (1/5): - The location Disgusting, lack of cleanliness. Bathtub was gross and there was nasty smell in the bathroom. Kitchen was dirty, the stove was full of grease. Garbage pails with half full. The walls were dirty and black in places near the beds. I had to leave and find another room

• Miren (5/5): Two rented bedrooms and owner in the living room, with shared bathroom. Not worth the money. - The location was okay, close to Termini. The owner was polite. The add doesn’t state clearly enough that it is a room within a occupied apartment where the second room is rented and the owner spends most of the day in the living room (and he smokes there). This shared space and shared bathroom setting is not absolutely worth it for the money. The bathroom was not clean enough for a shared room, a wet rug was often left on the floor and the bin was not emptied often enough.

• Camille (7/5): - Bon emplacement à 10min de la gare de Termini. La chambre était spacieuse et propre. La douche est vétuste, le concierge est présent dans l'appartement de façon aléatoire.
• PIERRE (9/5): Une chambre très pratique, bon marché et très bien placée. - L'hôte Massimo est très sympathique et disponible. La chambre est grande et confortable mais surtout très bien placée à 10min de la gare de Termini, très pratique et du centre historique. Qualité/prix très intéressant pour profiter de Rome !
• Maddy (2/5): Terrible. - The description vs reality are quite different. The room is within someone's apartment. We then questioned the arrangement and was told other guests would be in the other room sharing the one bathroom. It was uncomfortable not knowing who or when to expect others in the house. The host was rude and difficult to communicate with making the whole arrangement very awkward, he was also present randomly in the apartment throughout the stay. For our entire 3 months travelling around Europe, this would be the worst accommodation by far.

• Makenzie (3/5): 4/10 - The room was very cool looking with a spiral staircase and the owner was understandable when we said we needed to leave to get cash for the extra tax We got very lost when we entered the building and had to call the owner multiple times. The room was very hot. *He told us that he would charge us if we used AC. The bathroom was also kind of gross and had a weird smell.

The host met us outside the building that was super convenient even though we didn’t really expect for someone to meet us. • Ann (6/5): Great location - Location excellent - close to Metro and buses - 25 minute walk to Spanish Steps. Very quiet, pleasant area. Lots of restaurants & supermarket close by. Good communication by owner - got back quickly to queries. Room big. Beds comfortable. Wi-fi worked. We weren't aware that the owner uses the living area of this 2-bed apartment as an office and drops in there in the morning and evenings. He also smokes in the apartment which is a huge no-no for us - this was such a huge turn-off for us as we could smell the smoke in the bedroom despite him having the window open. The place is decorated in very dark colours, so while I'm sure it's clean, because it's so dark, it doesn't feel clean and fresh. I booked this place in a hurry and didn't read the bit where it's a shared bathroom - my own fault. This was OK as we didn't even see the other occupants. I just didn't expect to be sharing with the owner also, despite him not living there.

• Jeff (10/5): Great stay, superb host - The bed was comfortable, the pillows were great, the flat was airy and we slept well despite the soaring Rome temperature. The host was remarkably pleasant, and we felt very much at home, looked after. The flat is close to Roma Termini and within easy access to the centre. Massimo made us a great coffee in the morning and made the next day, after check out, so easy for us, because despite him doing nightshift, he looked after our bags - which was over and above expectation. The flat has everything you need and is absolutely fine for a cheap Rome stay. Everything was fine.
• Mcwilkie (9/5): Alloggio Turistico, a comfortable and well located place to stay - Alloggio turistico was clean, comfortable, and all around a great place to stay. Massimo, the host, was amazing! He was so friendly, so helpful, and full of bonus info about restaurants and landmarks in the area. We were 2 young backpackers, and it made such a beautiful change from staying in hostels. It's about a 20 minute walk to the trevi fountain - maybe more if you struggle with cobbled streets and inclines, and only 15 minutes on the train/metro/bus to the colosseum. There is a restaurant downstairs called rebasilico that was recommended to us by Massimo, and it was so delicious that we went every day! Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we would definitely stay again. The bathroom is a little outdated, and the elevator is very narrow if you have lots of luggage, but the bedrooms are spacious and comfy. The power did go out at one point, but Massimo was quick to respond with the solution.

• Gilson (10/5): Perfect place, comfortable, clean, excellent location, close to the terminal. Close to the Rebasilic the best restaurant - The hoste works in a Hostel, so he makes his place feels like a Hotel! Everything excelente. The hoste it is one of the Best Italian you gonna come across, super friendly and gently. The place is super clean and he has a robot cleaning the floors frequently. The mattress super comfortable, good AC.

• Jennifer (1/5): Not impressed - Location was okay. When we arrived at 3pm at the agreed time, the apartment was very dirty - dirty plates, dirty bathroom and clutter everywhere. When we mentioned this, he was rude and said 'if you don't like you go then'. He charged us double the tourist tax - 36 not 18 euro, and he didn't give a receipt. He did clean up after we arrived. The single bed had a missing slat and was unusable but there was another bed that we could use. People were smoking inside the kitchen while we were out and it smelled horrible.
• Veronika (9/5): Good for the value - Location was great and host was very helpful and nice! We had some good conversation with him. He was very welcoming and caring. Shared bathroom with other couple who used it for hours was abit annoying when u needed go to toulet but this is not the host problem! We knew we will have shared batroom and we should expect not everyone is thoughtful of others. At least one separate toilet would be bonus for sure.
• Nicolas (5/5): Great location, wouldn't stay longer than a night. - Great location, friendly host, spacious room. The common areas were not very inviting or clean, shared bathroom/shower very dated and not very clean, host smoked in the apartment.
• Gerdžiūnaitė (10/5): A good, comfortable place - The thing that I was concerned about before my trip was the location as I heard this area being dangerous. Finally it is in a totally safe and comfortable area, there is no problem with that, even while coming back late at night. The flat is clean and it is being cleant every day. The host is the most amazing person, really polite, funny and kind. We really recommend this place!

A bit unclear on the advert, but it's a flat - the one bathroom is shared with other guests and (possibly?) the proprietor who seems to live there part time. The bathroom needs a bit of renovation IMO. A few changes could make it a bit more inviting than a place to crash.

• Adela (9/5): Superb - The location is very good, only 30 minutes walk to many sightseeing spots. There is also nice restaurant across the street, where we ate every evening. There is an equipped kitchen and shared bathroom for 2 rooms. Host is nice, we communicate through Whatsapp There is a touch of a smoke smell in the apartament. Room is badly noise isolated, you can hear people from the other room and the shared space.

• Candis (8/5): Great location for your inexpensive stay in Rome. - We were a bit confused to begin with - there are two rooms for booking available within an apartment where the owner doesn’t live but is often there. He is very helpful. Excellent location and easily accessible by public transport. We arrived at night and took a taxi as it is a dodgy area at night. We had access to the kitchen but this didn’t seem to be advertised. The smell of cigarette smoke. I felt the advertisement wasn’t clear that it was a room within an apartment with a non resident but largely present concierge.

The furniture isn’t - + location + the apartment is clean and in a good condition + big room + air-conditioning + the room (as well as the whole apartment) is tidied up every day + the owner is very nice and welcoming + we could leave our lagguage in the apartment until our departure - someone might mind that the owner who comes to the apartment every day (but is not living there) is a smoker

• Emma (7/5): Good value for money - but noisy - The warm welcome: we received a pizza when we arrived and a coffee next morning. The appartement was difficult to find. The bathroom could be better arranged and the shower curtains could be replaced by another material, more hygienic. The carpet in the bathroom was also frequently wet, probably from the other guests. Using another material could also solve this issue I believe. We didn't have any shampoo in the shower and I had to buy mine. The street is very noisy. I didn't know Italy was super noisy and would have considered another area otherwise, but that was ok :).

• Kylie (7/5): Not for asthmatics or non smokers - The room was large and airy. The manager was chain smoking throughout the apartment and every time we opened the door, the smell hit us like a tonne of bricks. He even smoked as he cleaned the rooms which ensured the rooms stunk. There were also cigarette butts left in ash trays everywhere and the apartment smelled like onions & cigarettes due to his cooking his meals. The kettle also had a Milky and chalky substance in it that the manager said was due to a calcium buildup. Oh and the lift wasn't working so we had to lug all of our luggage up four floors but it was working by the time we left.

• Anonymous (9/5): Massimo is a wonderful host. He left us a gift of pasta hanging from our door😊 - The location was perfect! It is a 10 minute walk from the Rome Termini. It is in a decent neighbourhood where the locals live.
