274jaimeu (10/5): BEST 5 STAR Spa experience at the EDITION - For Teacher Appreciation Week, I wanted to give one of our employees a wellness day from Conecta Education as a small token of gratitude for the incredible work teachers do every day. From the moment I called the EDITION Spa, Michael, the Spa Director, provided exceptional attention to detail. He was warm, personable, and made the entire scheduling process seamless and stress-free. The next day, our employee personally called me to express his gratitude and shared how welcomed he felt from the moment he arrived. One detail that truly stood out to him was that Michael greeted him by name upon arrival, such a thoughtful touch that made the experience feel personal and special. He mentioned he had never received this type of experience in his lifetime. He also could not stop talking about Keilor, the massage therapist, and how incredible the massage was. He left feeling completely rejuvenated and appreciated. Michael, thank you for making such a hardworking and tireless teacher feel genuinely valued and cared for. Experiences like this make a lasting impact. I will absolutely continue using the EDITION for future wellness days for all of our employees throughout Greater Los Angeles area.

P8963UFchristinat (6/5): Has potential - My husband and I staycationed here for a friend’s birthday celebration. We heard great things so we had high expectations going in. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by valet and shown into the guest check in area. As we were walking through the lobby, we noticed a group of teenagers playing pool and hanging out on the sofas. They were being kind of loud and obnoxious and we immediately wondered if it was spring break. We booked the deluxe king which seemed much larger in person than pictured on the website. I loved that the toilet had a separate room and that the bathroom counter space was huge. The two closets were also very spacious. Room was bright and clean, minimalistic but comfortable. After we got settled, we met our friends on the rooftop pool. The views were spectacular but there were no lounge chairs available so our group perched around the sitting stairs and waited for chairs to free up (we were there for 2 hours and nothing freed up). There were also kids at the pool….toddlers to be exact. We had to climb around some of them as they chose to play in walkway areas. Food and drink service was slow and not very consistent. At one point, we needed to find a server to take drink orders. Everyone seemed happy with their drinks though. The banana old fashioned was fantastic and they even passed around a platter of skewered melons. We had dinner at sushi samba and returned to the rooftop around 10pm. It was pretty crowded and not as big as we thought it would be. Drinks were great but again, service was non existent. I’m not sure if the hotel turns into a night club or has a club accessible but it definitely attracted a much younger crowd. Our friends booked one of the largest rooms which had a walk out terrace that could probably fit 30 people! This hotel was definitely designed for parties. If you’re looking for an elevated experience, this isn’t it. The service and ambiance don’t reflect the $700+ stay per night. The Edition has the potential to be better but the vibes are of The W or SLS hotels.

fitmoneywoman77 (10/5): great hotel! love the edition chains - the SMELL is enough to lure you back- the hotel lobby has the scent of Le Labo Noir and the bathrooms all carry the lelabo products - my favorite brand. housekeeping and front desk super helpful and thorough -we had a suite that was very spacious and clean. Hotel is great location and rooftop bar was great for drinks. The only downside was quality of food was just ok (not great) and really small portions and pricey for what it was (fish tacos were literally three tiny bite size pieces of fish in small taco shell for $35- was more like a kids menu) My skinny margarita cocktail (shelf tequila) was $34 and service was super slow (breakfast I had to get up multiple times to get my own sweetener- not even crowded and service super slow ) but over all we werent there for food we loved our stay and will def come back again

The common areas are spacious with comfortable seating. There is a well equipped gym. I had a suite upgrade, which was divided into two large rooms plus an immense bathroom. There were two large closet units with ample drawer and hanging space. The staff is well trained and very friendly.

843pamelaa (10/5): My fave LA hotel! - I love Edition brands and after seeing mixed reviews wanted to try the Edition in LA on my most recent trip. The hotel is truly so modern and beautiful. Once you arrive at this beautiful property all you can do is admire. There is so much attention to detail. Truly one of the most stunning properties in this country. To top off this stay, I was SO happy we were upgraded to a suite. I got no upgrades last year and this truly was MASSIVE! We even had outdoor space and it was so comfortable. The hotel was definitely busy for the Grammys this weekend and it was still so serene, comfortable and peaceful. It’s truly paradise here. Cannot recommend it more! Can’t wait to return on my next LA visit!

G23DGap (10/5): Birthday Massage - One of the best spa experiences I've ever had in the city of Los Angeles. From start to finish. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and accommodating to me. I gifted myself a massage here at The West Hollywood Edition spa for my birthday. I was a little reluctant to try them because I frequent another popular hotel spa not too far from them but I am so glad I gave this place a go. The spa director Michael Scola was very nice and went over and beyond overseeing everything and making sure my experience was 5 star. He was very involved and you can tell he runs a tight ship and everything flowed. Sometimes you can tell when establishment staff aren't on the same page and things aren't flowing, but not with Mr. Scola.. he and his staff were efficient and proactive. My massage? I wish I could give the masseur 20 stars. His name was Keilor. He was amazing. He took initiative to introduce himself, (I arrived early) we had a quick detailed consultation and he hit every spot, every knot, every ache and it was phenomenal. I couldn't be more happier with the body work he provided. I will be back. If you all go ask for Keilor - highest recommendation!

She kindly upgraded our room to a Villa Suite for my husband’s birthday and sent up a sweet treat with a birthday card. Our room was very lovely and the view was stunning. We enjoyed how clean and quiet the room was. We even had a large private balcony that gave us a sweeping view of the city and wonderful natural light. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise. The Rooftop has the best view in the area and amazing food and drinks. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Die Aussicht…man schaut auf einen Parkplatz und kann nur am Rand die Skyline sehen, obwohl es mit Sicht auf die Skyline gebucht war! Das jeder Zugang zu unsere Etage hatte, das ist in diesem Preissegment nicht ok, da jeder in das Hotel rein kommt ohne sich ausweisen zu müssen!

freqtraveler29 (2/5): This Hotel Should Be Ashamed of Itself! - In all my years of traveling and staying at hundreds of hotels around the world, I’ve never experienced anything like this. I actually stopped the check-in process and walked out. From the moment I approached the front desk, I could sense an attitude of arrogance from the two gentlemen working there. The first words out of the agent’s mouth were, “Oh, your upgrade was declined.” I hadn’t even asked for an upgrade — Bonvoy offered it automatically — but I didn’t care about that. I just needed to check in quickly and asked politely if there was any way they could help. His response: a flat and dismissive “No.” I explained that I’d be happy to wait if necessary, but the tone, attitude, and smugness were unlike anything I’ve ever encountered. When I asked to speak with a manager, both front desk agents became visibly irritated and began behaving in a way that felt intentionally provocative — trying to bait me into an argument. Their behavior crossed the line from rude to unsettling, and I decided in that moment that I wasn’t going to stay somewhere I didn’t feel safe. I later contacted Bonvoy, and the property manager called me back. Unfortunately, she didn’t apologize for the staff’s behavior — only for the room not being ready — and invited me to return. There was no chance I would ever return after the way I was treated. This property operates with arrogance from the top down. If management thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable, it says everything you need to know. There are plenty of great hotels where guests are respected and made to feel welcome — this isn’t one of them. Stay somewhere else.

I keep coming back. - Pros: Modern setting and ambiance, rooftop pool, friendly staff, excellent restaurant (Ardor)--their milk bread and onion rings are world-class), great location, clean and comfortable. Con: Can get busy/loud at times, particularly in the evenings. The water seems to be softened, which makes it difficult to wash shampoo/soap off the skin--this is more of a particular preference than a con per se.

huntervbc (2/5): 🔥 Luxury Betrayed: The West Hollywood EDITION Fails at Every Level - I’m an Ambassador Elite member who stays 100+ nights per year with Marriott, and I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, we were told we’d been upgraded to the same room category we had already booked — a “Premier King.” When we showed proof, the front desk brushed it off as a “system glitch.” This exact issue has happened at another EDITION, suggesting this isn’t an isolated error but a serious pattern. Turn-down service was incomplete two nights in a row. Despite a reservation for four adults, the trundle bed was left without sheets or pillows the first night and not pulled out at all the next. It took multiple calls and a 30-minute wait at midnight just to get basic bedding. The final straw came when the front desk told us that my Ambassador Elite status didn’t exist — that I was only Gold — and refused to honor the 4 PM late checkout guaranteed by Marriott’s highest status level. Having to argue about my own status at a $1,500-a-night property was humiliating. Even after escalating the issue through my Marriott Ambassador, the hotel’s management never reached out. For a brand that markets itself around service, style, and discretion, the lack of accountability here is astonishing. I’ve stayed at multiple EDITION properties and have always admired the design and atmosphere — but what I experienced in West Hollywood was style without substance, luxury without care, and a shocking disregard for loyal guests. Until this property (and the brand as a whole) realigns with the standards Marriott promises, I cannot recommend staying here to anyone — especially not to fellow Ambassador or Titanium members who expect consistency, recognition, and respect.

I typically book on line with my busy schedule and I always request Michael as my favorite Massage Therapist. When I arrived he greeted my partner and I warmly but broke the news he is now the Spa Director! I have been coming to Edition Spa since 2022. He escorted us to our lockers and surprised us with gift bags with a thoughtful note welcoming us back! He told us both we were in great hands with our therapists. We loved our massages and will be back!

The staff was attentive and made everything feel personal from the start. Our suite was beautiful — modern, spotless and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The rooftop pool was a highlight: incredible view overseeing WeHo, relaxing and not overcrowded. The bar also stood out with great cocktails, good food and an incredible view of the city. Of the three, this Edition was my favorite. The lobby always seemed like a lively and trendy spot, with guests playing pool or sitting at the bar. The location is also very good, and walkable to many restaurants. However, there is a steep hill coming up to Sunset Blvd. I booked a Deluxe Room with Terrace and was very pleased. While the decor is on the minimalist side, it was quite spacious. The terrace had a nice view as well. In the bathroom, the shower was roomy, and their Le Labo toiletries definitely smelled great. The boxed waters were a unique touch, as I had never seen them before. I had lunch once and two breakfasts at the rooftop restaurant. With the hotel's resort fee, you receive a $42 credit towards food/drink. Everything was quite tasty, including the chicken sandwich, churro waffles, and croissant breakfast sandwich. My favorite part of the Edition was their large pool with amazing view of LA. On two of the three afternoons, it was on the cooler side, but the water temperature was decent. On my last afternoon, it was sunny and warmer, so every lounge chair was taken. I also took a look at the gym, which was excellent for a hotel with plenty of equipment (cardio and weights). West Hollywood and LA overall has a reputation for pretentious staff, but everyone at the Edition was very friendly. This included front desk staff, housekeeping, the servers at the Roof restaurant, and the guys on the pool deck. The only downsides were: (1) the cost. This is a very expensive hotel, with my room being about $640 a night. Food was also pricey, but the daily food credit helps. (2) I get the minimalist design, but the guest room corridors were bland and beat-up. The gray carpet looked dirty and baseboards could use a paint job. Definitely not a 5* look. Overall, I enjoyed the Edition and would gladly return.

A special thanks to Joti, who was incredibly kind and welcoming — she went above and beyond to give me a room upgrade, which made my stay even more memorable. The hotel is very well designed from the sleek minimalist lobby with a similar vibe continuing up to the rooms. Rooftop bar and Ardor are also well done spaces that make spending time there very enjoyable for the design conscious. Dinner at Ardor was delicious (highly recommend the chicken) and breakfast at Rooftop was very well done too. You can tell they use quality, fresh ingredients in everything they prepare. One tip. For less traffic noise, ask for room opposite sunset (although the views over Sunset are spectacular). Overall an excellent experience, will return again.

There is a $42 per night resort charge which we knew in advance, which, in line with all US hotels that charge this, is really difficult to justify. The gym was good, the pool is really pretty small, shallow and cold - not really for swimming. We found the food overpriced and not great - our room service order was mediocre at best. West Hollywood itself is strange - very rough in places with poverty very apparent next to multimillion $ houses. Not sure we would choose this area again.

It was that incredible - As soon as you enter , the “Edition” signature scent relaxes you. Even when hotel is full, it doesn’t feel that way. No waiting for elevators ( super quick) , The simple decor calms you Rooms are quiet. Beds are wonderful And the bathtub is to die for. The staff always goes above and beyond to accommodate any requests. Love the pool , food and drinks Music is perfect Loungers are comfortable. Jeremy and Autumn remember you , and are so attentive The other gentleman must be acknowledged for making every lounger look perfect , umbrellas perfectly tied. His attention to detail is incredible Jesus at the front desk went above and beyond. What a way to be welcomed. Even tho I mentioned some stuff the others are not to be left out either. I stayed here for at least 10 weeks over the last years and have made all kinds of experiences - from great to not so great. Starting with the positives: 1. The in-room dining is fantastic and the best I ever had at any hotel. By now I probably ordered every item from the menu at least once and everything has been really, really good. On top of that the team members who serve the food are all extremely nice and professional. 2. Everyone at the valet is extremely nice and courteous. I’ll not complain about the valet pricing and lack of self parking since that’s just normal in LA these days. 3. I really like the design of the rooms (pretty much same as all other Edition hotels) and the smell in the hotel is great too. Now to the negatives: 1. Even the hotel seems to be relatively new, you can see a lot of wear and tear - definitely in the rooms, but also in the hallways and other public areas. Maintenance is clearly an issue. Over 4 times I had to call a technician because ceiling lights in the room were flickering. Doesn’t match the price point and intended standard. Also, a lot of the rooms have terraces/patios and I don’t understand why, they tend to be in very bad shape and the view is horrible. 2. Depending on what room you’ll get, it’s extremely loud and impossible to sleep without earplugs. The problem is that the noise comes from multiple sources: if you have a room facing Sunset Blvd, you’re definitely doomed. If you have a room on the higher floor you might also have troubles since the rooftop bar can be extremely loud. 3. Less of an issue, but worth mentioning: Even though I’m staying here so often and have Marriott Ambassador status I rarely get an upgrade even when the hotel occupancy is low. I’m still staying here a few times a year, but I really wish that the hotel would at least tackle the maintenance issues because the current state doesn’t match neither the star rating nor the price. If price and star rating were lower I would give it 4 stars instead of 3.

As soon as I arrived, I was immediately checked in and guided to my changing room. The amazing aroma and lighting in the spa instantly took my stress away. Michael, the director, personally greeted me and told me about the amenities of the spa. And then came time for my massage. Gio was incredible and I highly recommend him. I think I fell asleep for a portion of the massage. He was that good!!! If you are wanting to book a treatment in a world class spa, you have found the spot! Have fun!

From the valet service and front desk upon check in, to the amazing rooftop bar/restaurant with fantastic views, and to the best massage in the coziest spa, I love this hotel. The staff and managers are so friendly, everyone was so welcoming. The lobby is so beautifully decorated. The rooms are so cool, and we had a great view of the Sunset Strip. This hotel is in a great location, truly in the middle of everything. The spa was so quiet and cozy, and everyone was so very attentive to my every need. It was truly a world away from the bustling Hollywood just a few steps away! Spent a lot of time at the rooftop lounge - the food and drinks were great both day and night. The day had a wonderful view and a fantastic breeze that was just perfect for an afternoon cocktail. The evening view of the city was so wonderful. This is a great hotel and we look forward to returning!
