• KC1329 (10/5): Loved it! - Such a cute hotel. It’s a little oasis in the bustle of Hollywood. Would absolutely stay here again. Great bar and oool. Only complaint is there was no housekeeping.
• M8860BGellieh (2/5): Avoid, bad value for money - Really bad start to our trip, when booking i selected pay at property to pay in local currency (cash), maybe if this was not allowed this should be clearly highlighted as we were stuck with the exact cash to pay for our stay and unable to do so. Then the charge was taken on my card for the stay but “not taken on their end” so I was left with the money taken from my account and still unable to check in. This was of course extremely frustrating for us as we were waiting. Staff were very careless and quite rude about the situation in my opinion, I understand that they could not do much but this had been extremely stressful for us and the attitude was as if they didn’t care. When I finally managed to check in no instructions were given on the location of our room; how we park or other details like the lift and wifi. Hotel is also very old with slow facilities (the elevator is not automatic and is very scary so avoid) and the wifi does not work. This hotel smells awful also, like cigarettes throughout. Bare in mind if you are booking a room with a balcony that another persons room will have a window into your balcony (very strange). Pool does not appear clean and pool beds very worn out. I would avoid this property overall. Definitely not worth the money, or as pretty in real life :(
• Thörjesson (6/5): Nice room but over priced for what you get. - The room was cosy and nicely decorated. The pool wasn’t clean and the staff wasn’t super compliant. Beds were tiny and didn’t fit two fully grown people. Your balcony is shared with another room who has a window out to you balcony. The pricing for the parking was way higher than it says here in booking.

• Tertuqa35 (7/5): Apart from the issue of insufficient acoustic insulation in my room, I enjoyed my stay. - Both the room and location were excellent. Room with swimming pool view was more than I could expect, Breakfast was not included. I experienced an issue during my stay. The room appears to have poor sound insulation, particularly from the room above. As I was staying on the ground floor, I could clearly hear guests walking overhead during night—possibly due to wooden flooring or insufficient acoustic insulation. This was quite disruptive and unfortunately disturbed my sleep.

A very special thank you to Javier and the entire team who were working during our stay. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience feel special, comfortable, and memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful and cozy, with a fantastic location that makes exploring Hollywood so easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere, the style, and the friendly energy of the staff made our stay absolutely amazing. We will definitely be coming back to this lovely hotel. Thank you again to Javier and the whole team for making our time in Hollywood unforgettable!

Tried to use the room phone several times, but never picked up on the other end. Ordered a taxi for 6 am at the front desk, come time for pick up, no taxi was ordered. • Ganapia (4/5): Thin walls and very noisy guests - First of all its not clear that you are booking the righht location. In our case we wanted to book Palihotel Melrose and reservation took me to Palihotel Hollywood which has a worse location. On the other hand, The room walls are super thin. They provide earplugs, so they know. Even with ear plugs you could hear the music downstairs and room next door. In our particular case, guests next door where up all night for 3 nights talking loud and making noises. We complained every day and night to reception but they could not provide another room or make them stop talking.

I was greeted so kind from the start of my stay till the very end. The front desk agent assisted me each and every time I needed assistance. • James (7/5): Fine - Beautiful hotel, very clean. Front desk staff provided false information. He said, we would need to park in another location other than the garage on hotel’s property and find street parking due to a downtown event. So we did. Leading to the next day, rushing in the morning and leaving before check-out concerned about our car getting a possible ticket, we see there would have been no issue to park in the garage and the new front desk staff member that day confirmed. So we had stress and a long, inconvenient walk the next day for no reason.

Room was alright, I liked the decor and bed was comfortable - The hotel is obviously nice and new, however no one told us about the extra parking fee which was around 40 extra bucks. Maybe I just missed it in the fine print of things but I didn’t see anything about it. However it was good parking. Staff were friendly some were a little standoffish though. Room was pretty clean except our sink had clogged and when we took out the stopper it was filled with hair. We just left it there cuz that’s not our job. Shower was relatively clean.

• Shelley (10/5): Stylish and affordable - A boutique, boujie hotel with an effortlessly cool vibe. The room was immaculately clean with a super comfortable bed, a gorgeous colour palette, and retro touches like a Smeg fridge. Perfectly located near major Hollywood attractions. The pool area is beautifully designed and, even in winter, is a lovely spot to soak up the morning sun. There was very little not to like. Despite some initial hesitation after reading previous reviews, as a self-confessed fussy critic, I genuinely couldn’t fault this hotel.

• Bradley (6/5): Modern and nice vibe but need more attention to detail - Very modern and good vibes I had booked for 2 people and when I got to the room there was only one towel. I called for a second one. The next day when my room was fixed up, they only put one towel again. I mentioned to the front desk and this happened each day. I had to call daily to get towels. I had to call multiple times to get it to arrive as they’d forget each time. The tissues ran out and they weren’t refilled and the body wash in the shower ran out and wasn’t refilled. The window to the pool was broken so wasn’t able to be wound out and wouldn’t close. We had to go outside the room and push the window closed as the noises to the pool were noisy and couldn’t fully get the window closed. They’ve done a great job modernising an old building, but the walls and ceiling are paper. If you’re on the bottom level, you’ll hear absolutely everything from above as I did every single night which kept me up. The chain lock to the door wasn’t attached to the wall so I wasn’t able to chain lock the door closed so I pushed the table up to the door each night. These are all small things but all together it was just frustrating. The in n out next door is insanely busy with lines down the block and around the corner each night so parking was a nightmare too.
• 491candaces (10/5): Downtown Convenience - I needed a hotel in downtown for NYE. This was convenient and reasonably priced. I stayed in a windowless room for a discount, which was advertised with a late checkout. Great idea! Also lighting over mirror is the best I have found for applying make up!
• Sean (3/5): Not impressed - The room was clean 100 dollars a night deposit. Up to 500. This website says it’s 100 dollars per booking not per night! So I had to wait up to 30 days for my refund. The lady at the desk tried to get 44 a night parking. Again not as specified in the description. 35 on the website. Overall disappointed. Not to mention it looks like skid row outside.

Parking was secure. The hotel resolved an issue with the room above quickly. Pool was lovely when heated. The room was small and the walls and floors are thing so you can hear every room around you to the point i could hear my Mum snoring in the next room. One evening I could hear the room above partying and well... so called security when it got to 3am. They said the bar closed at 9 yet it was barely open and closed early every evening.

It’s like a little oasis in the city. Walking distance to great restaurants and activities, but just far enough away to take refuge! The staff was lovely. Everyone was very friendly and took care of us during our stay. Nothing! It was wonderful!
• Ralph (7/5): Good location but small rooms - Great location- close proximity to food plazas and to the walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd. Staff were very friendly too and always helping with whatever we needed. Rooms are super small and can barely even walk around. The bathroom sink is in the bedroom and not in the bathroom (just weird layout). Not great value for money. There is huge couch in most of the rooms. Placing a huge couch in a tiny room is not great use of a tiny space. Some of the rooms don't have any view, so you're literally facing an empty wall at the rear end of the premises.

• gsalter92 (10/5): Stylish, relaxed and perfectly located - We absolutely loved Palihotel Hollywood. This was my first trip to Los Angeles from the UK and honestly it could not have been a better choice. We stayed for six nights and it felt perfect from start to finish. We had a stressful arrival at LAX because our bags did not make the flight, so they were being delivered to the hotel a couple of days later. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, happily offering accepting the delivery and hold our bags for us if they arrived while we were out. The hotel staff called us as soon as everything arrived, which was such a relief after two days in LA without our things! The hotel itself is gorgeous. I genuinely want to decorate my house like Palihotel. The bar was great, the pool was beautiful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We used the underground parking for our rental car and it was easy, secure, and convenient to come and go whenever we wanted. The location was ideal. Hollywood Boulevard was walkable and being right on Sunset made it easy to get around by car. We drove to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, SoFi Stadium, and Intuit Dome with no issues at all. Thank you for making my dream trip to LA even better than I imagined. One last question because I am still thinking about it. What room fragrance do you use around the hotel? I was completely obsessed and meant to ask before we left!!

• JohnnyTrekkie (10/5): Great! - I am always skeptical of negative hotel reviews, and glad I was! Stayed 2 nights Saturday to Monday for $429, a little higher than I'd like to spend on a hotel, but reasonable given the location. Staff was friendly all around. PROS: -Awesome, retro-modern decor in the common areas and room design. -Pool area is Palm Springs retro chic, lovely! -Rooms are smaller, but well designed, efficient, and clean. -Bed was comfy and slept well since we got a quiet room in the back of the hotel away from Sunset Blvd. -Secure underground parking garage, great for LA! I think it was supposed to be $35/night for parking, but I didn't get charged. -Central location walking distance to Hollywood Blvd, restaurants, bars. Bossa Nova is delicious and reasonably priced! CONS: -Smaller rooms -Local area is normal for LA, but some out of towners might be a bit fearful of the sight of culture, people of color, lower income folks, stylistic hipsters, and the working class. But if you're anywhere near an In N Out, Starbucks, and Chick Fil A, you know you're in a pretty safe neighborhood overall, like this one. Will definitely stay here ago someday!

• Graziano (10/5): We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Palihotel. We will be back! - We stayed four nights at the Palihotel and it exceeded our expectations. After a few busy days, it was so lovely to sit out on our balcony or have a drink by the pool to unwind. Towards the end of the trip, we were slotting in time to relax at the hotel. Occasionally, the elevator was on the fritz so we had to take the stairs. It was okay for us, but I could see it being a severe inconvenience if you have accessibility needs. There's also no restaurant, but the cafe provides all day small bites, and you're located right next to the In-and-Out. Poolside burgers, anyone?
• Valeria (8/5): Loved it, would come again but fix your shower drain!! - Loved the location, aesthetic and the bed! Reviews are true, the bed is very comfy. Shower drain was draining so slow. Could not take a a shower longer than 7 minutes or it would flood. Staff was unavailable to fix issue and the was unable to change rooms according to staff.
• megandQ3232GD (10/5): Perfect hidden gem on Sunset Blvd - This is my favorite hidden gem in Hollywood. It's location is perfect for getting basically anywhere from Burbank to Santa Monica. Its an easy walk to the Hollywood bowl as well! Plus the pool is heated. This is my 4th stay in the past two years and I will absolutely be back. The staff and GM are super friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

• lorraineashleyl (4/5): Could have done better for its price - Pros: nice and friendly staff, cute interiors, near Hollywood Cons: for its price you would expect more, the aircon doesn't work well, housekeeping needs training because the room won't be that clean, either they don't change your towels, or not clean the glasses, you need to always ask for housekeeping services, neighborhood is sketchy-lots of homeless people
