• Brian (10/5): Fantastic apartment in Plaka - The apartment was modern and clean with great treats and provisions that Sylvia provided. Sylvia was a great host, available for needed advice and for check in. You could not find a better location than this apartment. Within walking distance to the Acropolis and many other sites. Close to public transport and many great restaurants in Plaka and surrounds. We enjoyed our stay very much.

• Jonna (9/5): Erinomainen asunto keskeisellä sijainnilla - Hyvä sijainti lähellä Syntagman metroasemaa ja Akropolista. Sylvia on erittäin avulias ja lämminhenkinen majoittaja, hän antoi paljon tietoa sekä ravintolasuosituksia ja meitä ilahdutti, että hän varmisti viestein oliko asunnossa kaikki kunnossa. Mukavaa oli myös, että asunnossa oli tarjolla ns. tervetulopaketti (keksejä, vettä, viiniä, mehua, kahvia/teetä ym.). Asunto oli erittäin siisti ja sen varusteluun kuului hygieniatuotteita, astianpesutarvikkeet, kattava astiasto ja keittiötarvikkeet (leivänpaahdin, kahvinkeitin, kapselikeitin, vedenkeitin, hella/liesi…). Sänky ja tyynyt olivat hyvät, makuuhuoneen sai pimeäksi. Äänieristys voisi olla parempi niin kadulle kuin muihin asuntoihin (joskin asunnossa on kaksinkertaiset ikkunat). Äänimaailma ei kuitenkaan hirvittävän häiritsevä, liikenteen melu maltillinen. Kirkonkellot herättivät viikonloppuna/vapaapäivänä aikaisin. Nämä ovat kuitenkin kokeneina matkailijoina meille varsin ymmärrettäviä asioita.

• Linda (10/5): Great stay in the centre of Athens - This was the 2nd time we had stayed at these apartments and it won’t be the last. We stayed in the library apartment which was comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. We slept so well! The welcome pack was amazing plus Sylvia had thoughtfully done extra shopping for us as we arrived on Easter Sunday and the shops were closed. The bathroom and kitchen were well equipped and we had no problem with hot water. The location is perfect, situated midway between the main Syntagma Square and the Plaka area and all the major sites such as the Acropolis are within easy walking distance. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. Sylvia is very kind and helpful, easily reachable on WhatsApp but is often at the apartments too and goes out of her way to make sure you have the best time in Athens.

• Schwaiger-Hofer (10/5): - Sylvia hat uns nach unserer unfreiwillig verspäteten Ankunft mit Croissants, Kaffee, Knabbereien und Süßigkeiten versorgt. Außerdem wurden wir von ihr über alle Gegebenheiten in der Wohnung bestens per WhatsApp informiert und auch mit vielen Restaurant und Café Tipps versorgt. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühl.

The beds were extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. There’s also a spacious, lovely balcony, though unfortunately the weather was too cold for us to fully enjoy it. Sylvia was incredibly welcoming. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Athens.

• MUHAMMED TALHA (1/5): The Worst Accommodation Experiences I Have! - Our stay was extremely disappointing and, personally, one of the worst accommodation experiences we have had. The most serious problem was the lack of reliable hot water. During our stay, the water tank did not provide hot water, and the electric water heater also failed to resolve the issue. In 2026, encountering such a basic problem in a property at this price level is very hard to understand and completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, the host’s response made the situation even worse. In our experience, communication was poor, dismissive, and lacking empathy. Instead of showing any genuine concern or taking proper responsibility for the inconvenience, we were told that we could find another place to stay if we wished. As guests dealing with a serious issue, we found that response deeply upsetting and inappropriate. There were also other important comfort problems. The apartment appeared to have very poor insulation, with continuous street noise from outside. It was also difficult to keep the apartment warm without running both the air conditioner and a separate electric heater, and both devices were noisy. In addition, we noticed flies inside the apartment. Based on our experience, I would strongly not recommend staying here. The price does not match the quality, comfort, or level of hospitality provided.

The space was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The location is excellent — within easy reach of the Acropolis, Plaka, and Syntagma, with plenty of great restaurants nearby, which made getting around and finding good food very convenient. The owner was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. They provided helpful information about the local area, including recommendations on where to eat and what to see, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We really appreciated the welcome touches — there was food, water in the fridge, as well as breakfast items and snacks ready for us on arrival. It made a big difference, especially after travelling. A special mention for the natural toiletry products and the provision of dishwashing and laundry liquids. These are often not included in other places, and it was so convenient not having to buy single-use products during a short stay. Sylvia also checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel very well looked after. • Kevin (10/5): Great Place and Wonderful Host. - My wife and I were recently evacuated from our jobs in Qatar due to the war in Iran. We found Sylvia's place on short notice. She met us at the door and showed nothing but kindness and warmth. Her apartments are in a wonderful neighborhood, and she was a terrific host. The Plaka is a great neighborhood with traffic-free streets and excellent restaurants. Sylvia's apartments are clean, attractive, and have everything you need to cook if you want to. A wonderful carafe of wine was waiting for us after a stressful day of traveling. She is a wonderful host with lots of good advice on the neighborhood. When she learned that my wife and I both needed to teach online classes, she even offered us the chance to use an unused apartment during teaching time free of charge to make it easier for us. • Traveler_Incognito (10/5): Fantastyczny rodzinny pobyt we wspaniałej lokalizacji - Pobyt w tym apartamencie w Atenach oceniam zdecydowanie na 10/10 i z czystym sumieniem mogę go polecić każdemu. Gospodyni Sylvia to wyjątkowo przyjazna i pomocna osoba – zarówno podczas procesu zameldowania, jak i przez cały pobyt. Chętnie udzielała wskazówek dotyczących pobliskich atrakcji oraz polecała świetne restauracje. Szczególnie doceniam jej pomoc przy odebraniu tortu urodzinowego dla mojej żony, został dostarczony do apartamentu i czekał na nas w lodówce, co było bardzo miłym gestem 🙂 Lokalizacja jest po prostu rewelacyjna. W kilka minut można dojść zarówno do Akropolu, jak i do stacji metra, co czyni to miejsce idealną bazą wypadową do zwiedzania miasta. Blisko jest także do parku narodowego – świetne miejsce na poranny jogging czy spacer. Sam apartament zdecydowanie przerósł nasze oczekiwania. Znajduje się w klimatycznej kamienicy, a z balkonu można częściowo zobaczyć Akropol. Co prawda nie spędzaliśmy tam dużo czasu, ale sama okolica i usytuowanie robią świetne wrażenie. W środku wszystko było bardzo dobrze zorganizowane, osobna sypialnia, salon z dodatkowym łóżkiem oraz aneks kuchenny spełniający wszystkie potrzeby. Dla mnie, jako osoby, która podróżowała już w wiele miejsc na świecie, najważniejsze są lokalizacja i czystość, tutaj oba te aspekty zasługują na najwyższą ocenę. Warto też podkreślić, że to apartament, a nie hotel a mimo to standard i komfort są naprawdę na wysokim poziomie. Świetne miejsce dla rodzin z dziećmi, ale też dla par czy osób aktywnych, które chcą zwiedzać i np. pobiegać w pięknych okolicach. Jeśli ktoś oczekuje widoków jak z tarasu 5-gwiazdkowego hotelu, to może się lekko rozczarować, balkon wychodzi głównie na ulicę, a Akropol widać tylko częściowo z boku. Najlepiej sprawdzić to wcześniej na Street View. Jednak absolutnie nie wpływa to na moją ocenę całego pobytu. Podsumowując: świetne miejsce, doskonała lokalizacja i fantastyczna gospodyni. • Elizabeth (10/5): - Sylvia is a wonderful host, and the apartment was fantastic! Sylvia welcomed us to the property on arrival and showed us clearly how to work all of the amenities. She even gave us a great list of local places to eat, obtain groceries etc which was very helpful. The apartment was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a wonderful location within easy walk to all of the main attractions, shopping and places to eat. The beds are very comfortable, and the blackout curtains will guarantee you a good nights sleep. This was our first visit to Greece, and we had a marvellous time! Nothing, it was fantastic.

Comfy bed and good Air conditioning. Small kitchen that is stocked with utensils and some cooking supplies. Sylvia was amazing and took care of us throughout our stay. She sent us local information, helped us find shops and Cafés and checked in each day to confirm we were doing well. Great location that is about 15 minutes from most of the tourist activities. Nothing. It was great.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple. It is very well located and within easy walking distance to the Acropolis, Parthenon and surrounding areas. The location is perfect and we walked everywhere on foot. The room was very clean, and the little treats left for us gave a welcoming feeling. We would stay there again if we come to Athens!
