Everything was nice, good foods and nice cocktails from Chris (bartender) and the night shift team Sam, Tran, Mario, Dinh, Nga. And my dinning would be memorable in positive way until I got the feeling someone discriminated Asian. I saw her asked everyone (western) and merry christmas but she not come to our area, my table and other table, Chinese/Taiwan guys. Why I think too much about that?! Because maybe the first time I see Hotel Manager not local person. I wonder they can understand Vietnamese culture? and give the advice to foreigners/ tourism of JW like local style?! Or JW has new strategy to attract foreigeners in the specific ways. I'm not in hospitality industry so I no need to comment too much. Anw, don't see one black point and destroy whole the painting, the effort the team made good Christmas-Eve. Thanks JW Marriot again gave me good experience in two ways. 😅
- J842EZjohnj (2/5): Stay away from this hotel - This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and that says a lot. Despite holding Ambassador status, I was treated with zero respect and absolutely no professionalism. Before arrival, the hotel sent me a threatening email saying they would cancel my room because my credit card didn’t go through — even after I explained that my card was lost and I was in the process of replacing it. No empathy, no flexibility, no attempt at real customer service — just threats. Completely unacceptable for a so-called luxury property. The room itself was a disaster. It reeked of a disgusting odor, seemingly coming from a pole or pipe inside the room. The smell was unbearable. On top of that, the room was extremely dark, depressing, and poorly designed, nothing like what you’d expect from a high-end hotel. It felt cold, lifeless, and uncomfortable. There was nothing luxurious about this experience — nothing. I genuinely felt like I was staying at a Motel 6, except with worse service and a higher price tag. If you value good customer service, comfort, or actual luxury, stay far away from this hotel. This place is all hype and zero substance. I will never return, and I strongly warn others not to waste their money or time here.

The Club Lounge team was always going above and beyond to provide exceptional service to us, taking orders for drinks promptly and taking initiative to send us snacks and desserts to our room, outside the regular turndown service. Not to forget the attentive team at breakfast at Oriental Pearl every morning making sure that we have everything we want, and being attentive to our preferences that grew more apparent throughout the few days we stayed here. The room was comfortable, with a sufficient selection in their pillow menu, and the housekeeping team did a great job maintaining the cleanliness of the room. Location wise, it's much better than staying in District 1, being away from the general hustle and bustle and having access to a nice quiet and clean park right across from the hotel. Definitely one of the few hotels you would actually enjoy being in much more than going out to explore the city.

- MunXX (6/5): Hot Dense Air in the Clouds - The views are indeed quite spectacular. Lobby on 48th floor, Lounge on 71st and we were given a room on 62nd floor. We had a bird's eye view of the city. We had a corner room with windows that literally hug against the building - L shaped, with which we had a wonderful view of the city from high up above. In addition, the check-in process was quick and efficient. While the room was not ready since we had arrived ahead of the check-in time, we were given the option to rest in the club lounge while waiting (though we eventually headed out for lunch in the meantime). The hotel is also directly connected to the adjacent mall via a side door on the level 1, which is great if you need to pop by the supermarket for some necessities or for additional food choices. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. With a high-floor and floor-to-ceiling windows, this meant that the room felt like a greenhouse during the day - plenty of sun and heat trapped in the room, to the point where we had no choice but to keep the curtains drawn. The somewhat malfunctioning air-conditioning also meant that though we had set the temperature at 16 degrees celsius for the entire day, the room still felt warm. The layout of the toilet in our room was extremely odd and cramped - the shower was nestled in a corner between the sink and toilet bowl, and one had to manoeuvre one's way into the shower. For a larger person, this would be inconvenient and perhaps even uncomfortable. The toilet bowl was also situated immediately behind the door, which is an odd choice that re-emphasises the cramped nature of the room. The sofa in the "living room" area of our accommodation did not come with any cushions - very peculiar choice - and the material seemed to be a polyester mix, such that it would not be comfortable if you were sitting there for long periods of time and started to get warm. Breakfast at the lounge was lacklustre and underwhelming. There was a grand total of 2 tables of food to choose from, of which only one had hot food (eg hash browns, bacon, sausage etc). There was just the basics - which, for lounge service, is manifestly inadequate. While understandable that a full spread would not be available in the lounge (as compared to the usual breakfast spot / restaurant), surely this is too sparse for even the most easygoing traveller. The lobby was packed with visitors who were here not to check in or head to any of the restaurants, but simply to admire the view from the 48th floor lobby. This meant that the lifts were not only slow, but also almost always uncomfortably full. We even witnessed an older Caucasian man, who was not a guest, tailgating hotel guests into the lifts to access floors which require a guest keycard. It is clear that the hotel staff and security must be more vigilant in policing visits by non-guests, which only serve to ruin the experience for actual guests. Ultimately, it seems one has to decide between (a) a wonderful view of Ho Chi Minh from above; and (b) comfort. It is clear from the review above that Vinpearl has prioritised the first at the expense of the second. I would not make the same mistake twice.

We had a panoramic view room on 67 and was fab. Couldn't fault the hotel. Location is out of town and not much to do there so you would have to travel into HCM, however that's the only downside. We stayed in HCM for a few nights then moved here before we left Viennam and was very relaxing.

We were greeted by Lam who was the epitome of professionalism. We were well informed by him of our stay and the club amenities and times of breakfast, afternoon tea, drinks and canapés. We were then taken to the Club Lounge for a familiarisation. Our breakfast in the main restaurant had a wide range of choices and all beautifully laid out on display. Afternoon tea was lovely with various coffees and teas offered by the friendly staff together with a lovely arrangement of deserts. The drinks and canapés were amazing with a wide range of drinks and food on offer. It is well worth booking a Club Room which includes so many extras we didn’t even go out for dinner. All the staff were so polite and professional that we would not stay anywhere else. The room on the 61 st floor had amazing views and spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed.

Not more than one stay I’ll recommend. Better to stay near Saigon square.

The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and offer panoramic views of the Saigon River and skyline. Housekeeping is reliable, and everything is maintained to a high standard. The service team stands out. Linh at the front office deserves special mention for her professionalism and attention to detail. The lounge staff are equally impressive—warm, discreet, and perceptive in anticipating guest needs. Breakfast is varied and of good quality, and the rooftop bar is a pleasant place to wind down in the evenings. The gym, pool, and spa facilities are well-equipped and spotless. Vinpearl Landmark 81 has become my preferred choice in Ho Chi Minh City—quietly luxurious, efficient, and always dependable.

Every need was anticipated and met with great care and hospitality—especially by the wonderful lounge team: Lam, Roxie, Chris, Sherwin, Sam, Lui, Joyce, Uyen, Mario, and Brian. They made my stay truly feel like a home away from home. Not to mention, the view of Ho Chi Minh City from the hotel is simply unparalleled.

We cannot thank you enough for the thoughtful welcome gift – a beautiful flower basket and fresh fruit. Brian and his team always go above and beyond to make us feel special. They even remembered how much we love fresh coconut juice and ensured it was waiting for us upon arrival. Our room was ready upon arrival, offering a spectacular view of the city. This is our third time staying here, and we’ll keep returning every time we're in Saigon. Brian was able to accommodate us with a well-equipped meeting room. The room had excellent Wi-Fi, a whiteboard, and a projector, and we were even provided with coffee and fresh juice. The evening cocktails on the 71st floor offer an unforgettable experience, providing panoramic views of Saigon both day and night. It's truly a one-of-a-kind perspective of the city. Thanks to Ms Mui for the special Pho (beef noodles). We will come back soon

We were graciously upgraded to a stunning panoramic room with exclusive access to the Club Lounge. Nhi made our check-in experience seamless and welcoming — professional, swift, and courteous. We had booked two rooms, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. In our son's room, a thoughtful birthday cake awaited him — a wonderful surprise. In our room, we were welcomed with refreshing sweet coconuts, chocolates, and local candies. Evening turndown service included even more treats, adding a lovely touch of hospitality. The Club Lounge experience was world-class, thanks to the incredible service provided by Brian, Uyên, and Linh. Each interaction reflected true Marriott elite standards. Ryan at the front entrance ensured our luggage was handled with care and greeted us with genuine cheer and professionalism. From the moment you arrive at Landmark 81 until the moment you leave, you are treated with top-tier service. The front desk staff is consistently warm and helpful, and the housekeeping team kept our room perfectly stocked with water and amenities each day. The views of Ho Chi Minh City — both by day and night — are simply breathtaking. The hotel's prime location, connected directly to the Landmark 81 complex, makes it extremely convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. This stay far exceeded our expectations and is a perfect example of why Marriott continues to lead in hospitality.

Vietnam is just now learning how to find sincere, truly hospitable people and the staff at this Marriott facility is at the forefront. Uyen, Lui and Chris were all smiles and attentiveness. We appreciated them as well as Nhi at the Elite member check in desk tremendously!

- veronicaaZ1655KV (10/5): Amazing experience! - Absolutely one of the best experiences traveling abroad. The hospitality from the lounge staff (Joyce, Lam, and Ugen) were absolutely wonderful. They were professional, polite, friendly and welcoming. The meditation/body yoga class at the spa is a must when you stay at the Landmark. I felt relaxed and refreshed afterwards; both instructors were knowledgeable in their practice. The rooms are clean, bottled water is always available and Chinese moon cakes are provided with the turn down service. Would give this hotel a 10 out of 10!

The evening drinks and snacks in the club lounge (5pm-8pm), were satisfying enough that only a light meal was ordered when out and about. Great selection of meat, cheeses, hot, cold, local and European food- meat and vegetarian options. Bar staff Chris was awesome- apart from evening cocktail menu, he also used his cocktail making skills and created various options to suit our taste buds.. a great vodka passion fruit surprise.

This message will not self-destruct in 10 seconds. Rather, it shall remain here for ages to strike fear in the hearts of Vinpearl Landmark 81’s peers! Even before my stay, the hotel reached out to me and smooth communication continued for the next few days regarding my needs (e.g. meeting room use), my concerns (e.g. clarifying member benefits), my special requests (e.g. stay happened to coincide with my BD), my travel-related arrangements (e.g. transport & spa appointments) and my general queries (e.g. whether any good Japanese restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel). Tang Hong Thinh of Reservations touched based with me & those who followed-up swiftly included Uyen Le and Hieu Truong of Exec Lounge, Alice and Ngan of Spa, Jason of Reservations, Hieu Truong of Guest Experience and Dong Tien of Concierge. All were professional and patient with me, your typical fusspot guest. Day of check-in was smooth, and all expectations were met. I, being the devil’s advocate, had my mouth stitched up… My allocated room was a panoramic room with sweeping views of beautiful and busy HCM City. See pics of the wonderful room and the nice BD surprises hotel prepared for me. Had minor issue with table lamp and Sam of Exec Lounge followed-up immediately with an engineer. Was warned that room’s interior is visible from the outside as glass windows are not polarized. Many thanks to Sam for the heads up or I could have been caught being naughty in my room. Only gripe is that bathroom is lacking hooks for guest to hang their clothing. Maybe hotel can seek the advice of Captain James Hook? Had my first meal at Oriental Pearl and upon entering, was warmly greeted and ushered to an inviting table. Noticed that Sunday Brunch was on then, upbeat music, arts & crafts for kids, and most critical of all would be the laughter and smiles from the diners. Very good vibes! The devil’s advocate got grouchy here. The Landmark Pho I ordered had very fresh and high quality ingredients and meat + rice noodles + broth came in generous portions. The Viet Iced Coffee I ordered packed a punch that is unmatched by any other coffee. Great meal! All associates at Oriental Pearl were well-groomed, attentive & non-intrusive, and elicit feedback for food served. The associate who served me multiple times has simple yet beautiful body art on the underside of the right forearm if I recall right. Apologies for missing out the name of this associate. The devi’s advocate gave me a roundhouse kick as punishment. Yikes! I had Himalayan Salt Scrub and Landmark Signature Massage. Saw Alice there and she prep me up. My therapist was Min. Professional, poised and technically proficient in her skillset. No piano playing, no loitering fingers, no sour pussycat face. She was radiant with smiles and executed the 2 treatments immaculately. What more can I ask for? Perhaps she could fetch me the Moon on my next visit? Haha! Evening cocktail in Exec Lounge is equivalent to a full dinner! Hot dishes, cold dishes, salads, soups, rice, noodles, cakes & desserts, fruits, crackers, cheese, etc. Premium items like fresh crayfish are served as well. Other premium items are for me to know and for you to find out. Haha and HA! Breakfast at Oriental Pearl (main restaurant) and evening cocktails at Exec Lounge for both days of my stay were fantastic. Hot food is hot, not cold and clammy; bread & pastries don’t taste like cardboard, meats don’t feel like rubber, yogurt don’t taste like sour cream, etc. (I think our devil’s advocate has gone to hide for good….) Every bite & every munch is pure satisfaction. The Executive Chef was there in person on multiple occasions to ensure all hands are on deck and food is “prime & proper”. Housekeeping is akin to Ethan Hunt’s team. Swift, working in the “shadows” (I hardly see them around but….) & highly effective execution. My room had no issues, no missing items nor essentials; in fact on the 2nd day, I was provided with more facial tissue without me asking as my allergy flared up then (must have observed that the bin was full of tissue). For those who think that Housekeeping is not up to standard, may I suggest you do your OWN housekeep. Haha and HA! Check-out was smooth and no issues encountered for billing. Big Cảm ơn to all who made my stay productive, memorable and pleasant!

Unfortunately, the laundry service provided during our stay fell short of our expectations. Our clothes were not properly washed, which caused some inconvenience during our trip. However, please rest assured that we managed to find a third-party vendor to assist us with this issue, and our garments were successfully laundered. I would stay here a million times!
