Liudvika (10/5): Hospitality at its best! - We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, as we had an early morning flight, and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel has an older style, but it was very clean, and the staff made our stay especially pleasant. The receptionist was incredibly kind and allowed us to check into our room well before the official check-in time, which we really appreciated. When we visited the fitness room, we noticed the sauna was not turned on, so we asked at reception whether it would be available during certain hours. They kindly asked what time we wanted to use it and turned it on specifically for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture and especially nice on a rainy Sunday. Our suite was huge — it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was perfect and so convenient for traveling as a family. Thank you for such a pleasant stay! Georgios (7/5): - The staff was very helpful and kind and the room was spacious and clean. The location is great, a few minutes walk from Wien Mitte (the city airport train terminal). Also, a couple of very good restaurants within the premises. We needed to walk quite a long distance from the front-desk to the room. The decor is a bit outdated and the room was noisy in the morning, due to service carts rolling on the tiled floors right outside. Also, a socket was installed next to only one of the two separate single beds. I understand that the Eurovision song contest was taking place in Vienna on the day we arrived, but in my view, the price was still unreasonable for what the hotel has to offer.

Nancy (8/5): The hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff are efficient and friendly. - The hotel is in a very good location near a main train station, which has direct links to the airport, and the old part of the city. We like the narrow alleyway with all the umbrellas. The staff are very friendly and efficient. It was good having a kettle in the room. This was a last minute booking, so I expect there were not many vacant rooms. Our room was quite small and the shower leaked. Otherwise it was fine.

Kuno (5/5): Ein zentral gelegenes und originell aufgebautes Hotel, das leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist - Ich kenne das Grand Hotel Mercure Biedermeier in Wien seit Jahrzehnten, war allerdings seit 8 Jahren nicht mehr dort. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und doch nicht direkt im Zentrum von Wien, man kann bequem von hier mit dem CAT zum Flughafen fahren und mit der nahen U-Bahn /S-Bahn überall hin, der kleine Rochusmarkt wenige Meter entfernt bietet viele originelle Obst- und Schmankerlstände. Das Hotel ist vom Aufbau etwas Besonderes, kein rechteckiger "Kasten" wie gewöhnlich sondern langgestreckte Gebäude im Biedermeierstil längs einer Kopfsteinpflastergasse. Dies hat Vor- und Nachteile: einerseits hört man keinen Verkehrslärm, andererseits werden die Koffer - auch mitten in der Nacht - mit viel Getöse über das Kopfsteinpflaster gezogen, lässt sich aber nicht verhindern. Ich hatte als älterer Mensch mit einer 70%-Gehbehinderung um ein Zimmer mit großem Duschbad gebeten. Leider war das Bad sehr klein, in die enge Dusche bin ich nur mit großer Mühe gekommen, das Zimmer war für 2 Personen ebenfalls extrem klein, aber wie gewünscht mit getrennten Betten. Enttäuscht war ich jedoch von der in die Jahre gekommenen Gesamtausstattung, abgewetzten Möbeln und Teppichen, wackligen Stühlen und einem Kleinsttisch, die Bettwäsche war eines Zimmers, das für 6 Nächte ohne Frühstück 1262 EUR gekostet hat, nicht würdig. Sonstige in 4-Sterne-Hotels übliche Aufmerksamkeiten bis auf 1 Flasche Wasser für die erste Nacht gab es nicht. Das zusätzlich für 24 EUR pro Person bezahlte Frühstück ist unter dem üblichen Standard, da ist es besser, in ein Café nebenan zu gehen. Das hatte ich von den Aufenthalten vor Jahren noch ganz anders in Erinnerung - sehr schade. Der Gesamteindruck ist aktuell: etwas lieblos. M.E. braucht das Hotel dringend eine Auffrischung und eine Neubesinnung.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei Fragen Die Dusche war in der Dachschräge das war etwas unglücklich da mein Mann 2m groß ist.

Ernst (5/5): Die früheren Aufenthalte waren ok, was dieses Mal leider nicht zutraf - Wie immer die zentrale Lage und Erreichbarkeit sowie die vorhandene Tiefgarage. Wir waren schon oft in diesem Hotel und waren bisher immer zufrieden.Das hat sich dieses Mal geändert: Das Zimmer war sehr klein, deshalb hatte als einzige Sitzgelegenheit nur ein Schemel Platz, kein Tisch oder Schreibtisch. Die Tür zum Bad quietschte fürchterlich, was besonders nachts angenehm ist. Das lag wohl daran, daß die untere Türangel defekt war. Dieses Zimmer(121) gehört dringend renoviert und ist in unseren Augen auch nur ein Einzelzimmer.Da wir bis jetzt immer zufrieden waren, kommen wir, auch aus praktische Gründen, wieder, aber nicht mehr ins Zimmer 121

The main train station is 5 minute walk and it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the old part of Vienna and all the museums. Getting around is easy, bus, tram or tube. The room was bright and spacious and you the breakfast was wonderful. Lots to choose from and you even get free champagne. Well, when in Europe! There are plenty of choices for food in the area. Lots of cafes, shops and friendly people. I can't find anything I didn't like. The room we where given on arrival was quite small, but after asking to be changed, they made this happen without any bother. Very helpful staff.

Reception staff great and easy location for airport taxi pickup. Nothing major except being on the 3rd floor in a premium room it took at least 10 minutes to get hot water in the sink/bath/shower...despite my informing reception...not good when you have an early departure and waiting for the hot water to rise 3 floors! Kinga (4/5): Személyzet kedves, a szálloda csillagjaihoz képest a szolgáltatás nem úti meg a várt minőséget - Sajnos az ágy nagyon nagyon kényelmetlen volt, a reggeli kritikán aluli, a kért szoba szép kilátással volt kérve, sajnos a sötét szobából csak egy ház tető része volt látható, tv nagyon kicsi volt, csapból nehezen jött a melegvIz és el is volt dugulva….reggelihez a mellette lévő épületbe kellett átmenni ahol vacsorázni is lehetett viszont egy nagyon udvariatlan fiatal pincér volt, többször kellett szólni és érdeklődni a megrendelt étel iránt.

Esther (9/5): Kann man nur empfehlen - Unser Zimmer war ruhig und geräumig, die Lage vom Hotel war sehr gut. Zum Zentrum (1. Bezirk) nur ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Landstrasser-Hauptstraße war nicht so befahren, wie man annehmen könnte. Uns hat auch der kleine idyllische Garten am Hotel sehr gefallen. Eine kleine Oase in der Wiener Metropole. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet!

Sigitas (10/5): Nice historical hotel close to city centre - Hotel itself - has the old town vibe - cosy, comfy beds, clean room & bathroom. Location - 20 minutes walk from city centre, 10 minutes walk from a mall. Staff - extremely helpful, willing to answer any question or request. Breakfast - we didnt take breakfast in hotel, but there are plenty coffee shops around to explore. Corridor walls would need a tip of paint, but thats it. Not sure if room has an aircon, but i didnt need it in April. Thats pretty much it.

Camille (9/5): Wonderful family suite! - The staff were professional and exceptionally welcoming. We arrived in Vienna in the early morning from Zurich on the night train. We were tired. We'd planned to store our luggage and explore the city. When we arrived at the hotel, they had the room ready and checked us in right away. We'd booked the family suite. The suite had two bedrooms and a daybed in a separate room, essentially three bedrooms. We were able to take a nap and head out for the day fully rested. Only one small challenge was the hot water. However, we appreciate that the hotel is in an older building, and it can take some time for hot water to reach the room. We just had to let the tap run for a while.
Huet (8/5): Bel établissement, bien situé pour découvrir Vienne à pieds ou en transport en commun. - Bien qu'en centre ville cet hôtel est au calme, pas un bruit extérieur. La majorité des visites de Vienne peuvent se faire à pieds et vous êtes à 6 minutes de la gare Vienne Mitte qui assure une liaison directe avec l'aéroport en 16min (CAT). Bon petit déjeuner et restaurant de bonne qualité. Rien qui nécessite d'être mentionné.

Karl (9/5): Gepflegtes Hotel im 3.Bezirk - Freundliches Personal an der Rezeption. Zimmer gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Tolle Lage zu den Geschäften und zum Rochusmarkt. U Bahn Nähe. Das Zimmer war relativ klein.
