Guest Reviews
- SILVIA PATRICIA TAIPE (6/5): - Es ideal para ir caminando al Vaticano
- Dzhuliya (10/5): - Excellent Stay! Will definitely come back here!
- Dr. Jutta (10/5): - The localisation is great, communication also, it was no problem to get in touch with the people via WhatsApp. The apartment is perfect for four people, we were six, so two people needed to sleep on the couch which was not ideal. But thanks that we could take our host student without any problems at all! We can certainly recommend the apartment! You can’t expect luxury like in a 5* hotel, but everything was clean, beds are comfortable, washing machine and dishwasher there ( a I said - six people…) thanks, Silvia, and her Team!
- Duncan (8/5): - Perfect location. Quite tired though. Few things need udating/replacing.
Check in was totally explained wrong! Completely wrong instructions to enter the building which resulted in us standing outside trying to get in and we had to ring someone to get the correct instructions. Very frustrating after travelling all day.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gas leak - During our stay, a gas alarm went off late at night.
When we contacted the property’s support team, they claimed without any inspection that there was no gas leak. They incorrectly said it was a smoke alarm, falsely accused us of smoking in the property (which we had not done), and shockingly advised us to unplug the alarm and go back to bed.
Despite sending a photo of the alarm and repeatedly trying to contact them for clarification, they ignored our calls and failed to provide meaningful assistance. Although they said someone from the gas company would come to inspect, they never told us when, leaving us completely in the dark.
Instead of addressing our genuine safety concerns—our priority being to sleep safely with our children—they repeatedly implied we were only seeking a refund, which was entirely false. This dismissive, reckless, and unprofessional response to a life-threatening situation forced us to leave the property for our safety.
Fortunately, Hotels.com helped us secure safer accommodations, but this experience was deeply stressful and unacceptable.
- Rick (4/5): - The good: This property is in a great location, midway between the Vatican and Piazza Navona. It's easy to walk to both, and on to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. There are also cab stands nearby if your feet have had all they can take. There are little cafes within feet, and a restaurant right across the alley (although we didn't try that one). The wifi was fine, and the kitchen functional.
The not-so-good: There is a lot of street noise as this flat is just one floor up and the windows are typical of Rome. We slept poorly for the first two nights and then started to adjust. The heat was also meager, which is again typical of flats in Rome I am told. We were asked not to adjust the time.
Unfortunately, we had a significant problem with our hot water when we arrived, and this is what really turned us off. The next morning, I let My Extra Home know first thing that we did not have water, but we returned after a full day of sight seeing to find that nothing at all had been done. The best they offered us was to move us to a different flat, which after a long day in Rome was unpalatable. In the end, the water was fixed the following day - a day later than necessary. Let's just say that I'm glad we were visiting in February instead of July.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was perfect for acessing Vatican City, local businesses and daily market. The staff were very helpful by providing local information and responsiveness to requests.
