• Sheik (2/5): Horrible, I couldnt get to my room after a day of meetings because of a faulty fire alarm - The staff were very polite My room wasn't clean when I got in and had to wait 30 minutes in the lobby while you tried to get me another room. The second room I was given had nail clipings on the floor but at that point I was too exhausted to argue with anyone and I new I was just in the room to sleep and shower.

• Robert (3/5): Poor sleep and poor cleanliness - Very good location in Canary Wharf with easy access to the centre of Canary Wharf and only a few minutes from nearby TfL stations to get you into the centre of the city with ease. Listed as a double bed. It was a small double. Very uncomfortable for two individuals to sleep in especially when considering there isn't any guest controlled air conditioning. So the room was extremely warm making sleep even harder. There was the option to open the window. However this meant you'd be hearing everything else going on outside which wasn't conducive to sleep at all. On top of that, the room cleanliness wasn't fantastic. Very dusty, peeling/bubbling pain in the bathroom, and jail clippings down the window side of the bed which I only noticed when I picked up my coat from down there and they were stuck to it. Pretty disgusting. Very small rooms, however the size is listed and I wasn't too bothered by this but still not ideal for two guests.

Close to the DLR and walking distance to Carnary Wharf. Too many things to list Bathroom produces a nasty smell. You have to keep door open. Premium suite was very tiny - very underwhelming. Felt a bit claustrophobic! Felt a bit dirty - could see hair on some things on the bed, ironing board. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff - they had a fire alarm. Left us sitting in the hallway. When the alarm was cleared off, they didn’t even bother to let us know the lifts were accessible. We had to ask for ourselves. After asking, we were met with a cold response to say, yeah without any courtesy or empathy. Very uncomfortable desk chair Close to the train track so noisy Light comes through blinds so can’t sleep from 5am in the summer - carry eye blinds

Staff all really nice and helpful apart from one on reception and same for cafe- one was so reluctant to help, sour and grumpy I gave up and stopped going there. Pool and spa good with great views although only 5 loungers for 100s of guests and behaviour of a lot of guests horrible and off putting like the woman intently popping all her boyfriends zits in the jacuzzi- a sight I can’t forget and was nearly sick. The aircon everywhere is EXCESSIVE-and makes very uncomfortable in communal areas which are much needed as the rooms are so small and they didn’t change it despite repeated complaints by me and others. Also excessively heavy fire doors that were very difficult.

• Bhavana N (9/5): - We visited the hotel around 13:45 before our 15:00 check-in and politely requested to store our two backpacks for about an hour while we went for lunch. One staff member was kind and willing to help, but another staff member behaved very rudely and refused our request, claiming the storage area was full, which did not appear to be true. She even stopped the other staff member from assisting us. Apart from this experience, the other staff members were helpful and professional. However, this particular incident created a very negative impression and affected our overall experience. We kindly suggest that hotel management look into this matter and provide better customer service training to the concerned staff member.

• Jevgenija (9/5): Loved the facilities - The roof pool and launge have impressive views and are very cosy. There is also a whirpool, a good-sized steam room, and a big sauna! The gym is pretty good too. Staff was very helpful, when we asked for a fan, got it in 5 min - there is no conditioner, ceiling fan, or climate control in the room, but we could also open the window. The studio was tiny, the kitchen was useless as there were no pots or pans, dishes, glasses or utensils. Potentially, we could probably ask for them at the reception, but we didn't try. The shower was so small that my partner couldn't fit in full height (he's 190)

The shower was tiny to the point where I could barely fit in and I’m not even that big and the sink was so small that you just end up splashing water on the mirror and floor.

• Mr Michael (8/5): On the whole an enjoyable stay got to experience the buzz of the London Marathon. And in my opinion the Isle of Dogs is - Close proximity to the IOD, Canary Wharf & Greenwich. Rooms were very compact, smaller than expected. If you are a taller person then you will struggle getting in out of the shower & using those facilities.
