Guest Reviews
- JulieG (10/5): - This Hotel is always convenient for meetings and get around Paris! Thanks
Accueillant, propre.
Chambre spacieuse et agréable.
Excellente connexion Wifi.
A recommander absolument!
- Alisa (8/5): -
Si volviera a Paris, me volvería a hospedar aqui.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel antiguo.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Propre calme pratique.
- Patricia (4/5): -
- Ioan (6/5): - The hotel is not situated in an area really good. It has only one elevator for seven floors. And there is maximum 3 person allowed in the elevator, this creating always waiting time. We tried breakfast in one morning. Really depressing. Not one single plate was in one piece. And the food is not average, is simply not worth the money and the time. The worst breakfast ever. The rooms are clean and renovated. The problem is that the rooms are not isolated so you can hear everything from the neighbors . In the bathrooms it was a constant bad smell.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Miserable Abrechnung. Ansonsten ist es gut........
- Sivaraman (6/5): - Location is good and staff is fantastic.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - l'hotel è buono in rapporto qualità/prezzo.
- Cassandra (2/5): Lied in Description, not near Eiffel Tower, Unsafe - Awful! The front desk manager was very rude, as well as the other staff, they lie on the site, parking is not included and is expensive. They lied about being close to monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower, when in reality they are in an unsafe neighborhood very far from monuments!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Zona molto carina.. (10 min a piedi)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel it’s self was clean and nice to stay at. Some staff were friendly and very helpful however unfortunately we had a member off staff who was extremely rude to us. Sighing and huffing and puffing at us as the window was broken in our room and we asked if someone could come and repair it or possibly switch rooms. After the huffing and puffing she told us there were no other rooms or any other members of staff on site so no one could look at our window. I would have left it if she wasn’t so rude about the way she spoke to us. I came back down five mins later to ask about the safe (you have to pay 30 euros for the key) and there was another member of staff with her. She lied. I went to the desk and said again what the problem was to the other member of staff. The lady was still huffing. They then spoke French so we couldn’t understand. The man who was on the desk gave us another room (after she told us there were no others available). We had no apology. Instead when the kind man moved us rooms she went off in a strop to the back room. Shame
- Aurelisa (4/5): Não indico - Chuveiro quebrado, gatos dentro do hotel causando problemas alérgicos
- Billy (6/5): Average - We arrived late at night which was expected but the 24 hour help desk is there for you to check in. Easy location to find as it is off the main road in Porte de Clichy. Check in was all good and found it really easily. We got our room 405, to which it was stinking of cigarettes and disguised by a cheap air freshener. It was annoying as we booked a smoke free room to which they testify all the 100+ rooms is smoke free. Meanwhile, we asked to move rooms which was sorted out for us and wasn't a fuss at all and the man at the desk was the most helpful member of staff during our stay. However, when we checked out on our last day, in the absence of the polite gentleman, we did not get asked if our stay was comfortable or if we actually enjoyed our stay. I know it is a small hair to pick but it is nice to be asked if everything was good, especially after the dabacle of the smokey room. All in all, the price we paid sort of reflected the service and quality of our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was of a good standard and friendly staff at check in. However my key stopped working and later in the night two random people opened the door to my room thinking it was theirs. When I was checking in the staff said my room number and that I was travelling alone very loudly in reception whilst other men were checking in. This does not make me feel safe as a solo female traveller. I won’t be returning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - big room ,modern hotel, not so far from undegraund station
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Called to enquiry about check in but the woman hung up on me and then just started ignoring my calls.
When getting to the property the room was clean and the staff were more pleasant. I had read reviews about the lift not working and people being on the top floor so was a bit weary but the lift is working now. Overall was a good stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the fact the room was a good size, cleanness ,soundproof and the hotel's location-good rating overall
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great hotel would use again on future visits to Paris Sunday morning took less than an hour to get from hotel to gare de Lyon on public transport
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Bad costumer service and elevator was not working, I had to walk until 4th floor with heavy baggage
- HarryJohn (10/5): - An amazingly comfortable and welcoming hotel with rooms and beds of excellent quality, close access to the Metro, Taxis and Buses - away from the noise, hustle and bustle of central Paris yet within reasonable distance. I've been visiting Paris regularly since 1970 and am able to recommend this Hotel without hesitation or reservation. I booked through Experia.co.uk - highly recommended!
- Tomas (6/5): Dint like the service - Not nice
- Amy (8/5): An affordable place to stay in Paris. - First time visiting Paris and was very happy to find Median as it was so affordable. Room was nice, staff was welcoming. Only downside is that it's in a just slightly sketchy area. While walking back to the hotel at night, my partner and I had to pass through an unsafe area for two or three blocks. Other than that our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend Median to others staying in Paris.
- Alina (6/5): - The entrence hall is dirty and there was no elevator working and nor the card-keys. I had all my friends rooms at the 7 floor...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - bad service and room condition. no lift.
- edward y h (8/5): Overall quite good - Overall quite good. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. But the elevator is out of service, which really causes inconvenience as our room was on the 7th floor. Also there was no kettle in the room.
- joy (6/5): The lift was not working for over a month. - The staff were helpful. It was a stressful time because the lifts were not working.
- Kimberlee (8/5): Clean hotel, far away from tourist stuff - The elevator was broken and they Putin’s on 6th floor. Didn’t offer a discount or anything. Said we could cancel with no fee but Day of and busiest weekend of year where were we suppose to go? The front desk did not communicate well with each other either. The area is near a decent train stop but the neighborhood itself has nothing to offer
- Tiff (4/5): bad condition
- The first day check-in there was a blackout. In addition, the lift was out of service quite a few days therefore we need to hold our luggages and walk up the stairs to 4/F. Although, the room was clean, but there was no kettle in the room and just impured warm water provide in reception, which made my grandpa sick. If I ever go to paris again I would never choose this hotel to live anymore.
- JR (4/5): Good location, but staff needs training. - Hotel was not accommodating when an emergency occurred and we needed a refund for one of the rooms. Understood that the reservation was non-refundable, but other hotels go out of their way to offer some alternatives when a last minute medical emergency occurs.
- e (10/5): Nice hotel, not too far from everything you need - Lovely hotel. For the price I think it’s really worth it. Less than 10 min walk away from metro station which really isn’t far, and can take you to any major attraction within less than 10 mins. For a holiday where you’ll be spending pretty much the whole day outside, a simple hotel is all that’s really needed. All I would change is that a fridge would be useful for keeping some food in the room for easy breakfasts or simple dinners if too lazy to go out
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel was ok - Location was good 10 min drive to Eiffel Tower. Not the best looking hotel or shape. But for a day or two is ok.
- Patricia (10/5): - It was a relative great deal for my $ while my stay in Paris. Close to public transportation that easily got me to the touristic venues we wanted to see. The only thing I complained was the elevator. I arrive and was told that elevator was out of order and my room was on the 7th floor! Thank Goodness one of their male staff took our luggage there. Needless to say, they got it working then next day. Thank God for that.
- Shawn (6/5): Evelator broken - kind staff. - Elevator was broken, which made it very difficult to transport my mother in a wheelchair to our room, as it required three flights of stairs. Staff was kind.
- Shaf (6/5): - we chose this as a reasonable priced for three of us however the elevator stopped working for more than 24 hours and we had to carry our baggage down 7 floors
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Staff was not very friendly and the basic needs were extremely poor.
- Verified traveler (2/5): not value for money - there was mold on the walls of the room which is super unhealthy!!!!
- Rachel (2/5): - The hotel failed to take any due care when the vent dropped and fell on my head . They failed to move me to a different room or do anything for that matter
- angel (8/5): Nice hotel for Place Congress meeting - Good experience. Medium hotel But clean and room no bad
- Paul (6/5): Very practical hotel for business trips - Good location if your driving. The rooms clean and practical.
Local restaurants serve well in the evenings
- Louie (10/5): - it was lovely. couldn’t have asked for more
- cmcinally (4/5): first time in Paris - the local area is a little rough but the subway is 10 mins away
- wayne (4/5): Very upset - Sat nav puts you on the other side of the interchange. So once we had gone around the block 3 times, we then noticed it over the interchange. Car park wasn't sign posted and on pressing the button they hit you with the €17 a night charge. Entering the hotel was ok. Only one lift working. Booked in ok. Went to the room. No tea or coffee in the room. Went to reception and told that the bar wasn't open at all. At this stage my wife was very upset so we went out to get a coffee after our long drive from uk. Noisy room next to the lift, wet room shower which soaks the whole bathroom and toilet. No hair dryer, most hotels have creature comforts nowadays. The one and only operating lift took ages as its used by cleaning staff also. Breakfast was €14 each day and states continental and full breakfast. We paid for full but only got continental. If you like basic comforts like a coffee don't choose here. The bar is the only place to get a coffee or so they state and its never open. Spoilt our trip!!!!!
- Dora (8/5): Clean and comfortable! - Certainly not the closest to the city but metro was close and rooms were clean and comfortable.
- Denise (8/5): Clean - Little ways to the the city but did the trick! Hotel clean and comfortable.
- AL (8/5): Good place to book - Not far from transport such as RER to get to the best popular places. A lot of takeaways and local shops such as Carrefour around the hotel. The only downside I could mention within hotel is no kettle in the rooms, to get hot water they are by the reception.
- Showki (4/5): A Terribly Disappointing Stay - It was a dissatisfying experience. The receptionists were uncooperative. I needed to book a cab to the airport via Uber and when I asked them to help me with the processing, they refused and advised me to get a taxi even though it would cost me twice. The smell of the lobby was awful upon arrival. Hotel is short of staff .I had to wait in the queue for ages before checking in.There was a construction site in the neighborhood which made the place very noisy. once, I needed to call room service but the phone was out of order.
- Colin (6/5): Clean hotel on a dirty street - The stay in the hotel was fine, Staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions, etc.
One wake up call came in 15 minutes late. The area immediately outside the hotel is poor. Local
buildings have graffiti on the outside walls. A lot of building construction nearby. But a short 5 minute walk to get out of the immediate area to more respectable looking streets. Hotel was clean and service was very good.
- Stephen (10/5): Convenient with great refurbished rooms - Funky location on bus route to montmartre
- NARANBAT (2/5): Normal hotel - Except for cheap price and good building, the service and attitude of the hotel owners was not that good.
- Denisa (8/5): Nice and clean hotel, comfortable and friendly - We stayed here for 3 nights. Towels and bed sheets were changed/arranged daily. We found the staff friendly and we enjoyed our room at the 3rd floor. Because we went there by car, a really huge strength of this hotel was the fact that it had its own parking (even if we paid 17 euros/night for the car - and we did not receive an invoice demonstrating this). The reception is opened and wide, staff appeared to be friendly, but only some of the receptionists knew English. Even so, it was visible that they made all the efforts in order to provide high quality services. Even if the hotel is situated at the main street, we could sleep without being woke up by the traffic noise.
Try to avoid going to toilet in the basement (where the entrance to the parking slot is).
There are several supermarkets and places to eat nearby and you can easily reach to the metro or bus station, from where you can go to the city centre (40-45 minutes) or to Versailles.
- Geraint (8/5): - We booked a family room but when we arrived it was two separate rooms with an adjoining door (which was much better for us as it meant two bathrooms instead of one). The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was a bit basic but perfectly adequate.
- Duncan (8/5): Nice hotel - We booked last minute as another reservation was cancelled. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a triple room which was extremely spacious- and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. Would recommend to anyone. Only downfall is local area is the not the best neighbourhood but its location is good as you can travel to Eiffel Tower in 20 mins and walk to heart of Paris in 25 or so.
- John (2/5): Noisey - Room 701 right next to elevator door / maybe it was simply a very poorly noise insulated room but every morning your listening to cleaning staff working on the floor. Noise insistent.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not impressed. - Let me first state that this hotel is not located close to anything the majority of people visit Paris to see or experience. It is in a very urban residential area. There is no wifi in hotel rooms...and the lobby wifi goes in and out. The wifi was completely out one night. The front desk is hit or miss with politeness. There is a subway within a 10 minute walk. The area simply doesn't feel like Paris.
- Robert (8/5): - Facilities: Good; Value: Acceptable price; Service: Good; Cleanliness: Immaculate;
- Lucie (4/5): -
- joefarkas (6/5): For business trip, it's ok - The staff was great, but not all of them speaks English (however, there were always someone speaking English).
The location is not bad at all, even if it's near to a beltway, there are food stores, pharmacies nearby. I'd say the neighborhood is like Queens in New York.
With subway and RER, everything is in reach, within Zone 1. The nearest subway station is approx. 5 mins walking away. RER C and subway line 13 stops there. RER C will get you to the Palais de Congres (where you can change to the airport shuttle to Beauvais Airport, anyway), you just have to go to stops. With line 13, you are 5 stops away from Champ's Elysées, if you have time for a coffee or to look around.
The room was a bit small but clean, even the bathroom was clean. The flush of the toilet is not strong enough, you hardly flush even the paper down. The furnitures are forgottable, but the bed is comfortable.
All in all, it's ok for a business trip, or if you don't want to spend your whole time in the hotel. To have some place to sleep, it's acceptable and cheap. Not a representative one, I wouldn't suggest you to call your business partners there.
- Lorna (6/5): - Facilities: Everyday; Value: Acceptable price; Service: Unhelpful, Below average; Cleanliness: Clean;
- bob (8/5): - Value: Average price; Service: Friendly;
- Andrew (6/5): - Facilities: Modest; Value: Average price; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Tidy, Clean;
Breakfast ok but nothing flash.
- Steve (6/5): - Facilities: Typical; Value: Acceptable price; Service: Professional; Cleanliness: Could improve;
Situated in a nice area with a mix of ethnic groups. Not at all touristy, just the real Paris experience. Easy to get to the tourist spots - metro/bus
- Thomas (4/5): - Facilities: Shabby, Run-down, Bare minimum; Service: Unhelpful;
- Ben M (4/5): Cheap for Paris. You get what you pay for. - Arrived at 1AM - 24hr check-in is nice. Our original room was allocated to someone else (whited out on our room key folio), and we ended up in the last remaining room with a double bed - with broken air conditioning. Offered a fan by the courteous concierge, but there was one in the room already which tells me that the hotel was aware of the issue. At least it's cool in Paris in the evenings. Price for proximity though is undeniably a good deal, just be prepared to think of it as a hostel with private rooms and you'll be fine :-)
Only two power points for plugging in.
- Solvej (8/5): An nice hotel with a friendly - An nice hotel with a friendly staff. The room we had booked was small, but clean. The hotel was not located near many of the popular sites, but there was a metro station close by - only a 10 minutes walk away from the hotel.
