- Jaanika (10/5): Five star service and room! - The hotel is stylish and the decor is beautiful. The rooms were much better than I initially expected, and the staff were excellent throughout. I had forgotten my charger at home and the reception team very kindly lent me one for the night. The rooftop restaurant was next level: stunning views, amazing cocktails and five star service. Would recommend to anyone looking for something special. Absolutely nothing. Though we had breakfast included which could have been nicer, but only just picking faults, it wasnt a problem.

The location is sensational, close to a subway station, the river, and numerous nearby restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. My only complaint was the frequent noise coming from the room upstairs—specifically, the sound of furniture being dragged across the floor. Additionally, the room itself is small; however, considering it is London and the price point, it offers great value.

From the moment we arrived, the little personal touches, hand made birthday card made it feel really special. Our package included drink vouchers, and the team at Albie served us so professionally and warmly, which we really appreciated. A big thank you as well to Asher and Robin for helping us during our late-night checkout and assisting with our luggage. Overall, a truly thoughtful and memorable stay.

- Eric Garo (8/5): Great for short term stay for work or vacation. - The room was clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was arow of hooks which was really nice. The location was good with easy access to the tube. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby and a rooftop restaurant, all of which seemed to be very popular meeting spots.The building is multi-purpose . Very lively with young professionals not so much tourists. Not all floors are hotel. The staff was very nice. The bathroom was large with a large shower but the lighting was poor. The sink was small with no space for cosmetics or toiletries. There was a large shelf behind the toilet which worked but not ideally. When you closed ths door after showering the bathroom smelled of mildew. The floor seemed unfinished with wiring exposed in the hallway ceiling. There was very little noise or activity on the floor which led us to believe there weren't very many guests.

I enjoyed the coziness of the room, the products in the bathroom, the curated playlist on the radio, the superb view on the rooftop, the excellent food at Seabird, the yummy breakfast, the ideal central location, the friendly staff, and the late checkout time. Hoxton Southwark might be my favorite Hoxton location now. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

- Sara (7/5): Cute character alternate to a chain hotel for anyone staying in the Southwark area. - The hotel was cute and had character which made it more fun than a traditional chain hotel. The room was decent and included a small table and chairs as well as the bed and closet and typical amenities. The location was also good, convenient to buses, trains and the city. The events I were attending were nearby and it was easy to get to Waterloo, Blackfriars and other regional connection points. Breakfast was additional and pricy. It had to be reserved in advance, although the buffet and hot options were delicious. The elevators were a bit annoying as the hotel is only the first 6 floors of the building.

Relatively quiet area away from the busier Southbank institutions. Charming, well appointed room - the "Cosy" room size was efficient, but plenty of room for two people over 6 nights. Great light from large, insulated windows. Breakfast and coffee in the Cafe was very good. (Perks if you are a member of the DisLoyalty club). Would stay again.

I did not find the bed and pillows very comfortable, and I do not enjoy the fact you have to “request” housekeeping. For that price, they should just come and do your room. Food was below standards both on breakfast and “albie” - downstairs and room service. Its a beautiful place but in general poor value for money.

- Sergio (8/5): Una experiencia con mucho encanto… y algún debe pendiente - Ubicación inmejorable: barrio tranquilo, metro y autobuses a menos de 5 minutos, y el Támesis a 2 minutos andando. El hotel es precioso, con mucho cuidado en el diseño y una oferta de servicios muy completa. El personal es excelente — mención especial a William, que nos ayudó desde el primer momento con una amabilidad que se agradece especialmente al llegar a una ciudad nueva. La habitación, aunque no enorme, estaba muy bien aprovechada y tenía un gran ventanal con vistas tranquilas a la parte trasera del hotel, desde donde se veía el Big Ben a lo lejos. El colchón era excesivamente blando — nos hundíamos hacia el centro — y el descanso se resintió durante toda la estancia. La limpieza fue claramente superficial: tras una semana, las pelusas se iban acumulando sin que nadie las atendiera. La televisión es básica, sin función Smart ni posibilidad de enviar contenido desde el móvil, algo difícil de justificar en un hotel de este nivel. Y los ascensores, solo dos para todo el edificio y con coordinación mejorable, nos obligaron a bajar por las escaleras más de una vez.

Room service doesn't appear to be available (no mention at check-in), so we ventured up to Seabird for breakfast. Unbelievable setting, phenomenal views of the city. Staff seemed disappointed to be there and generally felt like as customers, we were an inconvenience to them by being there. Tables were sticky and staff were relaying them without wiping down. Given how much the group encourages sign up to their Disloyalty scheme, not once were we asked if we were members when using any of the F&B offerings - to secure the discount. We've always stayed at the Hoxton (not just Southwark) when staying in London and love the group in general but the service this time round really felt like it was missing the mark when the setting is so perfect.

- jomU2128EM (6/5): So much to like, quite a bit to question. - Great location and a warm welcome when you arrive. The lobby area is vibey and fun with a calm atmosphere we found relaxing. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was well kitted out and very clean but very small for a so called "roomy" twin - little if any room to open a small carry on bag least of all for two. Beds were VERY soft too which is surprising since the other Hoxton hotels have invested well in excellent beds - these felt like substandard. We'd not booked breakfast but were directed to the the 14th floor (which is an incredible space) and before ordering anything at all was handed a bill for £56 for two not including a coffee (which was another £4). Wow! That's eye wateringly expensive even for London. Yes we could have stopped there and walked away but to not offer alternatives or even ask what we wanted to eat before being handed a bill is strange. We also had a business guest who'd already arrived and ordered so difficult to leave without eating too. Fortunately, the breakfast was very good with a great variety of everything you'd expect for £28 pp(!) albeit the truly dreadful (free) coffee in a flask more at home at a school camping event than a hotel. Even a coffee bag (as in the rooms) would have been an improvement. Presumably there to ensure you order a £4 coffee in addition? So, please, Hoxton Southwark, improve your coffee options for guests as this all just feel a bit cheap and money grabbing. While check out was very friendly, I've still not had receipts/ invoices emailed through 9 hours after checking out which given how great the email and Whatsapp communication had been throughout our stay doesn't leave the greatest taste in my mouth. Overall feel rather fleeced for a 1 night stay (without dinner).
- Joanna (10/5): - the place being very posty maintained a comfortable vibe, the breakfasts were the BEST EVER but most of all, staff was great :) i had a pretty stressful situation at the beginning of my stay because of the arrival date mix up, and the girl at the reception was amazing, her cool and guiding helped me a lot :) nothing really, but i have to admit i wasn’t paying for my stay so that might have an influence on my opinions :)

- Nomadicme79 (10/5): Excellent! - Excellent hotel, great location, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff and service, overall nice vibe. Would definitely stay again! Amazing view from the rooftop bar and restaurant.

- Quentin (9/5): Un bel hôtel agréable et bien situé pour explorer différents quartiers londoniens. - L'hôtel est agréable et le personnel accueillant. Il est dans un coin calme, mais les transports permettent facilement d'accéder aux quartiers de Victoria, de Southwark et de l'hyper-centre. La chambre était très propre et bien décorée. Un petit bémol sur la qualité du matelas qui était assez mou, mais ça n'a pas empêché de bien dormir.

- faye748 (8/5): Up market boutique hotel - We booked the Hoxton because it was relatively near the Peacock theatre, however ,our theatre trip was cancelled. Nonetheless, we still came and stayed at this beautiful hotel. The Hoxton is a very modern hotel, with beautiful furniture and lovely food. The staff, however, could do with some training on the menu and drinks available. I was also disappointed that the gym was in a separate building at a small additional charge. The room we stayed in was the snug, it was compact, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The mini bar was none existent and robes and slippers should be included as the price is on the steep side. Overall, I would stay again if I needed to be in that location.

- Isabela (9/5): Would come back! - Wonderful staff and beautiful accommodations. The hotel was also full of lively energy and the area felt very safe. The breakfast was expensive for what felt like fewer options than I would expect. Our toilet flush also didn't always work properly.
