- Yutzil (10/5): Great place - Great location in District one
The indications to reach this place were clear and easy to follow

- Barry (7/5): Reasonable homestay. - Quiet location in an alley but close to the Main Street. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby, even a 7/11. Good for buses to various locations, in HCMC.
Bed was fairly comfortable. Laundry was available. The host's communication was good. The main problem was the AC, never got cool, even when set on 17C, l doubt it got down to 25C, it was more like a fan than AC.
The WiFi was slow or would drop out at times.
- Alex (10/5): -
- Felix (9/5): to be recommended - clean, everything necesary was available, questions have been answered quickly through booking.com-email system.
window which could be opened, well organized The description told me, I would get access information by SMS. This was not true. They sent me it by email. But when arriving there I didn't have mobile internet and no SMS message. I was standing in front of closed doors and need to ask neigbours to help me by calling the phone number given. The 3rd try somebody answered the phone and gave the necessary information to enter.

- Marie Alina (9/5): Good location, good value and helpful host - Location. The host was very helpful and responsive. I was sent directions before arriving and could contact the host via chat. The host also helped to issue an invoice according to my requirements.

- Seb90 (9/5): Great stay in District 1 in Saigon - Good communication with owner via WhatsApp.
+ Nice staff on site at check-in.
+ Nice clean room with A/C.
+ Close to a big road yet quiet with no disturbance at night.
+ Working shower with hot water.
+ Because I took an evening flight I was allowed to use the shower on the ground level in the afternoon for free. Be prepared to walk some stairs since the room is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. Was no problem for me.
- Robin (8/5): Worth it! - It was a really good location and it wasreally close to everything. The bed was more comfortable than at my home. It was really worth the money! The shower could shower little bit more.
- Kevin (1/5): - The location was great and I love the alley where I stayed I foolishly left my mobile charger in the room and the owner says no one saw it. I do not believe him. Be very careful about your belongings in this place
- sevinc (9/5): Perfect for long/short term stay. - Location is great! Central and quiet. There are many good restaurants nearby and also its very easy to walk center or some local markets. Queen room is also big enough, 2 people can comfortably stay. And the room&bathroom are very clean. Easy to communicate with owners. They are always available. I will continue stay there when I come to Saigon. Totally recommended. All good! / Nothing to complain.

- William (8/5): Very Good Stay in D1. - The room was clean and neat. It was a compact single room, but it still had a desk, fridge, kettle, and an ensuite. The TV and Wi-Fi were very good. There was a window and fresh air if needed. There are laundry facilities downstairs. Checking in with the hosts was easy. Room cleaned on request. There were some fridge temperature issues, and the TV had a mind of its own. I got HBO one night. The door locks need some attention. LT stays need a discount. Address down a lane. Food delivery may be an issue.
- Jaimie (10/5): Reccomended - Great place, quite. A little difficult to find at first. (He sent his staff member to find me.) once you figure its out easy. The host was awesome, didnt meet him but great communication via WhatsApp, easy to contact and responsive. Its a professional set up. Great neighbourgood. Its nestled between street A and street B. On street C (not called street c) is an amazing, large Germany brewery bar with fantastic high quality foods, aged steak ect. Also a few nice spas and coffee shops on that street.
- Mark (8/5): Great for a few nights - Responsive hosts. Clean room We did not get any extra water during our stay
- Loredana (8/5): Good stay! - The position. Overall it was a good stay for the price. The staff is ready to help. You have to consider that it's a homestay so don't expect the standards of an hotel.
- Hugh (8/5): Spotless, comfortable, spacious, quiet. Recommend. -
- Thomas (10/5): Comfortable and well equipped room, good location and friendly staf - Extremely comfortable and friendly staff. The room has everything you need including; fridge, kettle, TV, safe, toiletries and the bed is very comfortable. The common area has a washing machine and dryer with a little kitchen too. The location is nice and quiet, away from the busy road but in a great area with many food and convenience shops. The staff and owner are amazing, so friendly and quick to respond to messages. The owner helped me get a taxi to the airport, so nice!
- Sevinc (9/5): Good for long/short term stay. - Room is very clean and big compare to other accommodations in Saigon. I liked the location very much. Central and quiet. There is fridge, water boiler in the room. Good place to stay also for longer period. I would definitely stay there again. All perfect.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Location is near the edge of district 1 down a quiet alley not far from the main road. About a 10 min grab to the centre. I work online and the wifi is great each room has its own router. The single room is bigger than it looks in the photos. Shower is nice and hot. Very clean room with strong AC. I would definitely stay here again in HCM The bed was a bit hard
- Fjanevski (10/5): Good room, free laundry machine - Really friendly host and the room was good value for the money. The extra which I found amazing was the laundry and the drying machine. It saved me a lot of time during my short stay there. I totally recommend this accommodation.
- Olga (9/5): Just nice place, worth the cost. - Really good internet connection, nice and helpful stuff and good location 4th floor without an elevator, especially if you’re with big suitcase
- Hadley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ja (9/5): 9/10 - It’s located at the corner street so hard to search the apartment for the first time
- Lin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yin (9/5): Very satisfied from Myanmar - Good location, fair Price and clean !
- Lin (9/5): Superb -
- Lun (10/5): Exceptional - I love this apartment cuz clean and comfortable totally 8 out 10
- Sowmya (6/5): Pleasant - The location is quite central though you need to follow the instructions of the host as it is in a small lane beside a busy big street. Many nice restaurants nearby, vegetarian establishments as well. A taxi ride away from Benh tanh market and war museum. The room is very clean. The host is very nice and communicative over whatsapp. Our apartment was on 5th stair and there is mo lift, quite a hassle if you have lots of luggage and not used to stairs. Though my fault not checking room facilities precisely, I was expecting there will be a kitchenette in the apartment but that was on the ground floor.
- Roberto (10/5): Cozy and clean. Recommended - Cozy, clean and comfortable. AC, fridge and all the appliances were fully functional. Staff very nice and helpful
- Angela (9/5): Superb - We had to change room since AC in our room was broken. She offer another room with similar conditions. The street where we stayed was full of food restaurants very local and authentic. It’s very close to the center. The owner did a great job giving indications. Highly recommended
- Hlyan (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and clean. No, I like it.
- Joe (9/5): Great place! - The staff was nice, the room was great, it felt like home. Quiet enough and the neighbors are friendly. I loved my stay and I don’t have any complaints. The property is tucked away in a maze of alleys. With that said, it never took me long to find it.
- Benny (7/5): It was good staying. - i like the location. i like its quiet environment. i think they should at least l provide mineral water with some small packs coffee in the room.
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Greg (9/5): Superb - Good facilities. Well located to main sites & good food options. Good indtructions & first day communications. Perhaps some better advice of close best cafe & restaurant options (too vague) would have helped as i checked in at dinner time. The washing machine was unusual addition that I was happy to make use of. Good to have a kitchenette too. No advice on good quality cafes & restaurants.
- Jaccine (6/5): Convenient to school. - Cheap and if you like washing clothes by yourself, this is the perfect place. They have racks to place your washed clothes and a fan to blow your clothes so they usually dries up very fast. The floor underneath the bed needs to be clean, really dirty. There are also dusts collecting around the bed frame. They clean the property once a week which isn't very frequent.
- Mckenzie (9/5): Superb - Very nice and spacious room! The bed and pillows weren’t the most comfortable
- Hwang (8/5): The room is pretty decent with sufficient amenities and the host is helpful. - Location is quite conveniently located. There are a lot of small local eateries within walking distance. The flat is also away from the main road so the sound of traffic cannot be heard from the room. The apartment is a little difficult to find at first but the directions given by the host helped. Although you cannot hear the traffic from the main road, you can still hear noises when other tenants come back or slam the main door.
- Min (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenzaviour (10/5): Exceptional - Great clean low-key spot.
- Stephanie (10/5): Highly recommended! - I loved my stay here so much I extended it for another week. The room is even bigger and well-lit in person, with strong in-unit AC. There's 24/7 access to free drinking water and laundry downstairs. The building is located in a quiet back alley filled with families and local businesses, so I always felt safe in the area, even late at night as a solo female traveller. So many delicious restaurants within a 30 second walk! Lovely host, very easy to contact via WhatsApp. She helped me book an airport transfer, which was great because the driver was able to help me find the building when I arrived. There's no elevator in the building, which was fine for me. There are up to 5 flights of stairs to your room, which might be difficult for some, especially while carrying a suitcase.
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - The location is good. It's walking distance to Little Tokyo, Saigon Book Street and the Central Post Office areas. It's back from the main street so quiet at night. Lots of dining options nearby. Washer and dryer if you need to wash clothes which is very convenient.
- Solano (8/5): Very good -
- Huu (10/5): A very comfortable long term stay with all required amenities. - The place is relatively central with a lot of local food options and cafes in walking distance.
Each room also has its own fridge and wifi.
Having a dryer in addition to the washer is also very nice and you can find free drinking water on the first floor. The higher floors can heat up quite a lot compared to the lower ones but you have an aircon in each room to help with that.
- Nadine (8/5): Friendly and helpful owner and nice room - It is clean, has everything you need like a fridge, microwave etc. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful owner who arranged a taxi from airport for us. We enjoyed our stay here. Picture is a little bit deceiving size wise - it’s not a big room. But that was ok for us!
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bailey (10/5): Exceptional - The room was spacious and clean and has everything I need. Happy to have the table, iron, fridge and good wardrobe space. Washing machine and dryer was so useful. Location is good too, lots of yummy food and cafes nearby.
- Anna (10/5): Loved staying here! - The room was very spacious, equipped with everything we needed. The A/C worked perfect, bed was comfortable. We were allowed to wash our clothes in the waching machine for free, which was a big bonus for us. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Also the location was really good!
All in all we felt very comfortable and would recommend staying here! -
- Lucy (10/5): The amenities were fantastic. I loved having a washing machine and the room was spacious and light. - The amenities were fantastic. I loved having a washing machine and the room was spacious and light. N/A
- Paul (10/5): I had a great stay at Huyen's house. The host - She is wonderful -
- Tung (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Owner was very sweet and helpful. Good accommodations.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - The owner of Huyen House is the nicest lady that takes good care of your needs. Laundry and water is free which I have never experienced in Vietnam and I've been to alot of places!! The room was exceptionally clean and you will always have a window, which is also not always the case in VN ! In the end I stayed 3 days longer just because it was so convenient for me located right in the City-Center for a really affordable price. Highly recommend!
- Gonzalo (10/5): Exceptional - Good location and room in a nice location
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vũ (9/5): Superb -
- Almaz (9/5): The great option for those who visit Ho Chi Minh City for up to a week period - The host is very supportive and helped me multiple time with my trip related questions.
Everything’s like on photos. Would be nice to have a water in the cooler on the desk, it was empty (they provide you with one bottle in the room though). It wasn’t a big issue for me
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Luke (7/5): Clean and great price, but bed too hard - Clean, great location, great price. Overall was ok. There are stairs but unless you're old or handicapped, it shouldn't be a problem. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable for me, even for Vietnam (stayed lots of places here). Made it difficult to sleep. Couldn't wait to move to somewhere with a different bed by the end of the stay.
- Anastasia (3/5): Location is good but I won’t stay here again because of the bad conditions in the room - The location is great and the staff also is very friendly My room was dirty, the ceiling were in dust and maybe spider webs. Next to my bed there was a wall covered with fungus. And also there were the small ants all over the floor.
- Eltoi (8/5): Very good - Good location and easy to find if you follow the Google map (although the host would tell you to not follow the mape, you actually can rely on it. I think they have fixed it.)
It was not noisy at all. The host doesn't speak English at all and even google translator won't help.
Don't take off your shoes even if they tell you to do so as there were a lot of people wearing the shoes inside the entire building.
- Amy (8/5): Nice long term travelling stay - This was a great option to stay just outside of the touristy areas. The place is located in a small lane in a busy local neighbourhood, and takes a bit of maneuvering through the small streets to find. There are lots of great options for food and drinks nearby, and lots of stores within reach as well. The place itself takes up an entire building so depending on what room you end up, you may have to climb 5 floors to reach your room. We originally had a higher floor room but as my partner wasn't feeling well we asked if we can switch to a lower floor and they were quick to respond and helped arranged for us to move to a different room promptly. The room was small but sufficient, with great AC and internet speed (and free netflix!). The bathroom was on the smaller side but other than maybe a little more counter space, it wasn't a problem at all. It was a great place to stay however I don't think it would be suitable for all travellers. If visiting HCMC for the first time or only a short period, I'd recommend staying elsewhere more central, but as we were in Vietnam for awhile, we appreciated the quieter local neighbourhood and had no problems walking around the small lanes.
- Artem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amriteshnarayanan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Makarova_catherine (10/5): Very good stay - Everything was fine. Clean, comfortable location (despite it's not easy to find, the instructions provided by the owner were very detailed), self check in. We had everything we needed for a temporary stay: a bed, a table, a TV, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a shower, towels, the Internet, etc. The owner was very polite and kept in touch all the time. The only problem we had was the fact that our room was on the 4th floor and we had two big suitcases. But I should have notified the owner about it before we came.
- Edward (7/5): good location descent room for the price but has a few issues - room was bright and bed was comfortable, tV is a smart tv so lots of choice. no elevator! so if you have heavy luggage like I did then do t stay here, staff just watched me take the luggage with no offer to help, but did give a thumbs up when I had heaved my luggage up 4 floors…. if people are talking in the stairwell it’s very loud and echoey. cleaner only came once In 6 nights.
- Grant (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grant (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location, quiet at night, clean and good AC
- Soufiane (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): A clean basic room in a real neighborhood - I always prefer to stay in a real neighborhood and not in an area where all the businesses are geared to tourists. This place is among real Saigon residents and you'll see them cooking and eating their meals, resting, etc., and the local restaurants will be filled with locals, not tourists. If you also like this, this place is for you. If you want excessive hand-holding and want there to be English menus everywhere, then this place might not be for you. It was perfect for me. It's still central enough that I walked almost everywhere. A basic but clean room with a private bath, and the owner didn't skimp on the appliances, installing a Sony TV and a Toshiba aircon for example. Your room will get cleaned and sheets/towel changed every three days. Solar heated water is used in the bathroom, though there is an electric water heater in case the water isn't hot enough (I never had to use it in my 30-day stay). Free use of a clothes washer (and dryer, but I just hung my clothes in my closet overnight and they were dry in the morning). Whoever installed the aircon condenser unit outside should have used some vibration isolating mounts, as when the outdoor unit was running, it vibrated the whole wall.
- Keirse (8/5): My Saigon hideaway. Shhhh! - I love most of it: host, location, convenience, comfort, facilities, etc. Bathroom is a bit small, hate the stairs!
- Sharon (8/5): Excellent and value for money -- would come back again! :) - Value for money! The room comes with its own bathroom. Very simple toiletries are provided. Appliances were all in working order: aircon, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, and shower heater. There is also a TV which has HBO, Youtube and Netflix. The room has its own wifi router which is very fast -- I could do 4-hour-long video calls with friends back home, without any problems. There are also other people staying in the apartment (in other rooms), but they were not noisy at all and I barely saw anyone else.
The neighborhood is very quiet (due to its location within some back alleys), which is a bonus since HCMC/Saigon is otherwise really noisy with traffic. It is quite safe to walk at night. There are 2 pharmacies around the corner (one being Guardian), a few neighborhood spas, and plenty of FOOD nearby. It is also 10 minutes walking distance to the HCMC Museum + city zoo, and just a short Grab ride away to other major attractions downtown.
The host is very responsive and communicates by sending you Whatsapp messages in English (using Google Translate). She came to clean the room 2 days into my 4-night stay, which was very nice. Note that you have to pay in VND cash, which the host will collect on the 1st or 2nd day of your stay.
I would definitely stay here again the next time I come back to HCMC/Saigon! :) It might be hard to find the place at first, but the host provides directions over Whatsapp.
You will have to climb stairs to get to your room. Not suitable if you have mobility problems or very heavy luggage. But this is quite common of Vietnamese multistorey apartments (i.e. no elevator).
The room may smell a bit musty at first (due to closed windows). But it is clean otherwise.
The view from your window is of the back alleys -- but there is a heavy curtain to hide it if you don't want to see :)
- Ismael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Éva (8/5): Very good - Nothing special, but a correct room, clean, with an electric kettle and a microwave oven. The little street may seem disturbing for first sight, but everything is close, and one can easily find a place to drink a morning cafe/eat dinner. No elevator to the upper floors, small bathroom
- Lang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dusan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kartikey (9/5): Superb -
- Pancho (10/5): Exceptional - Owner really reactive ...help me for location and to get the keys
Clean and quiet place
25 minutes walk to ben thanh market
- Daphne (9/5): Clean place in nice neighborhood - Clean and quiet place with hot shower and great wifi. We stayed here during TET holiday and the location was great: local area with plenty of cheap restaurants nearby (outside tourist area). I don’t know if it was because of TET, but we didn’t see any staff during the 6 days that we stayed (only 1 time housekeeping so we could pay our room). Before check-in we received clear directions about how we could find the apartment and how to get the key. The Airco wasn’t very strong. We stayed at the fifth floor and it was hot in the room. Unfortunately the room didn’t get cold. Some cockroaches at the entrance.
- Aleks (10/5): definitely recommend - this is an amazing hostess, so attentive and caring. A big advantage in this place is the presence of a washing machine and dryer. Definitely recommend to everyone who wants to spend time in Ho Chi Minh not expensive and with service. .....
