- Mylin (2/5): Dårlig oplevelse - Det lå godt ud til strand promenaden. Vi kom sent første dag. Vi fik nr. 143, det længst væk beliggende værelse uden vindue til det fri. Meget mørkt og småt. Badeværelset gammelt og slidt med dryppende vandhane i håndvasken. Klagede næste morgen. Langt og længe skulle vi flyttes. Alt pakkes sammen og lod det blive til overflytning om eftermiddagen. Vi fik så nr. 232, et lidt større værelse men stadig ikke plads til kufferter, som måtte ligge på gulvet i gang passage. For få bøjler. Værelset lå ved siden af hotellets restaurants udsugning, som kørte konstant. Larm og meget dårligt lugtende af friture og udsugning af fedt især. Vi kunne ikke bruge altan, som også var fedtet og beskidt. Men værre var, at lugten trængte ind på værelset, vi kunne lugte friture udsugningen. Det sidder i tøjet og håret. Alt tøj og overtøj skal vaskes og renses, når vi er hjemme d. 21.05. Jeg gik hver morgen i receptionen og bad dem om at gå På værelset og lugte samt hjælpe os. De trak på skuldrene og gjorde intet. Ved udcheckning sagde jeg venligt, at det ikke havde været i orden, og sagde også at det var udtryk for arrogance. Vi havde valgt et femstjernet hotel og havde forventet service og venlighed. Ingen tilbud om 2. flytning og refusion. Hotellet har tæpper på værelser og gange, som er slidte og plettede. Jeg har astma. Det var ikke godt! Poolen på tagterrassen blev ikke rengjort. Det var udsugning på taget, som larmede og lugtede meget, når du ville ligge og slappe af. Saunaen måtte ikke bruges, kun ved bestilling til gus. Hotellets 5 stjerner er på ingen måde berettiget. Jeg vil gerne have jeres hjælp ved booking.com til refusion og foreholdelse af klagen. Jeg kom ikke igennem. Jeg ser frem til at høre fra jer.

Arrived and was told there was no parking available and I would get a refund. We had to park for $100 overnight in council car park. I am still waiting for my refund and have had to chase it up. Disappointing as I had pre arranged the parking but it was not available and still have yet to be refunded.

- paulfJ6757JV (10/5): Awesome Hotel opposite the beach - We loved our stay at the Manly Pacific Hotel… from the moment we arrived the holiday vibe begins, the concierge greet you and take your luggage and direct you to the lobby checkin, the checkin is super quick, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The corridors to the room are bright and wide. The room is spacious, quiet, clean and well appointed. Our room has a king bed which is very comfortable. They have a well stocked mini bar also and a balcony with chairs and a small table. The pool is located on the rooftop with sun lounges and pool towels overlooking Manly beach. The is a little small, although great for relaxation until 3 families with 10 kids hit the pool deck and took over the entire area, luckily the beach is across the road from the hotel lol. It would be great if the pool deck had a pool bar, they seem to have space to have one. Maybe something they should consider. Although the hotel has a bar in the lobby that makes quality cocktails with a lounge overlooking Manly beach which is excellent. Across the lobby from the bar is the Manly Bistro which is more casual vibe where breakfast is served. Next to the lobby bar is Cibaria Manly Italian restaurant, the food and service is exceptional, we recommend booking because this place gets super busy. They also have gelato bar which was a surprise. The hotel is located across the road from the beach and walking distance to cafes, bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants. We highly recommend staying at the Manly Pacific Hotel by M Gallery and will definitely stay again in the future.

- Tottydownunder (6/5): Disappointing experience that fell short of 5 stars - As an ALL Gold member, I’d been looking forward to staying here for some time and was pleased to book when a promotional offer came up. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to what I would expect from this brand. The room was quite dark and didn’t seem to match the “sunset view deluxe king” shown in the app. While there were plenty of towels, two had noticeable black marks, which wasn’t ideal. In the bathroom, the glasses hadn’t been properly cleaned and still had residue from a previous guest, and overall the space felt a bit worn and in need of attention. There were also a few issues with noise. There was a constant clicking sound—which later traced to an electrical board behind the wall and as the stairwell was next to the room , it meant that I was woken during the night by doors banging. I also tried to use the sauna to relax, but it didn’t appear to have been cleaned recently, with visible debris such as hair and skin present, which was disappointing. I was given a gift in departure as an apology which was a nice gesture. Overall, the stay fell short of expectations and didn’t reflect the standard I associate with a five star hotel.

I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible team at Manly Pacific, and especially Laura. I had originally received a voucher for a one-night stay, but sadly couldn’t use it at the time due to my brother’s illness with melanoma. It expired shortly after he sadly died. When I reached out earlier this year to see if there was any chance it could still be honoured, the team responded with such understanding and kindness. In March, Husband, daughter, Mother and I stayed while attending the Melanoma Institute Australia walk "Melanoma March" in Manly, and to our absolute surprise, we were upgraded to a two-room coastal villa on a completely complimentary basis. It was an incredibly generous gesture and meant so much to us during such an emotional time. The rooms are absolutely beautiful , but what truly sets Manly Pacific apart is the genuine care and compassion shown by the staff. This experience has left a lasting impression, and I will return time and time again. Thank you again, Laura, for your kindness — it will not be forgotten.

- nick164 (8/5): An enjoyable beachside stay - As Accor Gold, I was kindly upgraded to an Ocean View room. Freshly decorated, it had a relaxing beach vibe with lovely views of Manly beach. The bathroom was modern, with spacious shower. Housekeeping was good, with a minor criticism being the area under the toiletries shelf in the shower being in need of cleaning (see photo). Sleep quality was great, and very enjoyable to hear the ocean. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was excellent. It's popular, so I definitely recommend booking. From arrival to departure, staff were friendly and attentive, even in a bustling restaurant almost at capacity. All courses were tasty, and wine by the glass very enjoyable. Checkout was friendly, however I did not receive an email copy of my invoice until re-requested and was subsequently overcharged for minibar items I had not consumed. This was however quickly rectified on contacting the hotel. A couple of final notes: - I’ve stayed at Manly Pacific twice in the last 6 months. On my previous stay I'd had a non-ocean view room. Whilst the room itself was similar, the bathroom was dated. Additionally, sleep quality was poor due to a heavily pilled / bobbled mattress topper combined with a very thin sheet - which was rectified upon raising it. The ocean view deluxe room on this stay was far superior. - Disappointingly they will only accommodate a 1-hour extension to the checkout time for Accor Gold. Beyond this time they charge by the hour.
- Cushla (8/5): I would recommend this property on location and staff. - Location excellent, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of downtown relaxed Manly. Staff are all beautiful and welcoming. The restaurant and bar was fabulous. I would book the breakfast it was so delicious and fresh. Sadly there was no full length mirror in the room, I had a red flashing fire alarm above the bed that I found distracting when sleeping and waking and the lighting in the bedroom flickered alot?? The bed and other facilities in the room were good. I would recommend and perhaps on my next stay I might specify a full mirror and to check the lights.

- 100ranjanam (10/5): Beach getaway - We stayed in a 2 bedroom Coastal Villa/Suite with excellent views of the water. The rooms were clean and modern with a beach vibe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The location is right off the beach walking path and near lots of restaurants and shops. Highly recommend.

- Lucy (3/5): Dated facilities and wrong room upgrade - Location & friendly staff Very overpriced for the room …. $600 per night for a tiny room with a pretty gross & old assisted living style bathroom, flickering lights and awful view. We booked 3 nights for my partners 30th birthday. His parents were married at Pacific 32 years ago and he has lost his dad. It was a special trip for him. The family were upgraded to a Seaview room, received flowers, chocolate and wine. We were put in a lower level room with the sub par amenities. Not sure if this was accidental or not. Pretty disappointed in the stay…

From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful. In an era where people often lament the decline in service standards, the team at the Manly Pacific prove the opposite is true. Every interaction was marked by genuine kindness and warmth, with staff consistently going above and beyond. A special shout‑out to Tara at reception/check‑in, Lucia in Bistro M and Eileen in house-keeping, who made us feel truly welcome and set the tone for a wonderful stay. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was magical, and sipping a mojito by the rooftop pool felt surreal and the perfect indulgence. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with beds so comfortable that it’s hard to leave them. This was a stay that felt thoughtful, relaxing, and special in every way — an anniversary celebration we’ll remember for a long time, and a hotel we can’t wait to return to.

Not much not to like regarding the property or its location. We did have to ring reception everyday to fill the coffee and tea and shampoo and soap ran out which wasn’t ever checked.

Our room was spacious, with a balcony with sea view and all of the usual amenities. Price was fair and staff very good.
