• Isa (9/5): It was the very clean hostel i ever stay, the bed itself have a power plug, mirror and light, you can turn on your light - I like the property, it’s very clean and the male staff with vitiligo is so good, friendly and kind. I don’t have any, except there is another person who hang their wet clothes inside the dorm, the floor is full with dripping water, but they provide a slipper for the guest to be used inside, so no big deal.

Auf der ersten Etage muss man sich etwas durchfragen, um das Hostel zu finden. Der USB Anschluss im Bett funktionierte leider nicht.

• MJ2004 (8/5): Nice Studio Room At Hostel - I paid a little bit more for the single bed studio room and it was well worth it. Location was excellent, convenient and quiet, but please note non sharing rooms are in a different building than reception. Allen was very helpful and friendly towards me during check in. Nice little rooftop terrace at reception building.

• Russel Kit (10/5): friendly staff and good location when you want to explore HK mtr is just a few walks away. circle k and 7/11 is just - The reception is at the first floor and room is was in was in the 5th floor (the manager will give you a tour). I stayed for 7 days and it was great. bathrooms were cleaned by staff daily and the receptionist, Mr. Elon was very friendly and pleasant to talk to even though there’s a little bit of language barrier. the terrace was a nice place to hang out. you can meet people that are traveling too (if you’re lucky to have outgoing guests). overall, it was 10/10 for me.

Good temperature regulation in rooms (I went in February). One bathroom per room so it quickly got messy. Towels not included in booking. Electrical socket awkwardly situated in bed, can be dodgy with adapters.

• David (3/5): Not great - Location We couldn’t find the blasted place. You need to look for no 54 apartments on the road. It has no sign at all. Take the lift to first floor then turn left and then right down corridor. Look for sign so so. Nightmare!

• Garry (3/5): Useful for one night only if you need somewhere cheap. - The location is excellent for anyone who wishes to stay in Causeway Bay for one night or a very short stay only, the location is very central in Causeway Bay close to a lot of the malls, restaurants and stores. The Entrance is difficult to locate, there is no signage, the name "SoSo Hostel" is not mentioned anywhere which gives an air of dodginess along with the confusion finding the entrance, the air con in my room was awful and didn't really work.

I had to call booking.com to get it sorted. There were also guests that made weird noises. Overall, it’s a great option for short stays.

Ugly building, no reception, I had to phone to be let in but then waited 20 minutes. Dimly lit corridor. Ugly room, badly needed decorating. Personnel spoke no English. Door lock broken. Freezing cold, no heater.
• Andrea (7/5): Ok for temporary accommodation for a couple of days - Room space was more than I thought and the bed was comfortable. Also, the location is very centric and close to MTR Property hard to find, no signals at the entrance. Moreover, had to wait 10 minutes before checking-in because nobody was at the reception. The man at the reception is not kind or welcoming, looks bothered of your presence. Also, I extended my booking of 2 nights and went to notify the reception man which wrote down the info on a post-it but didn't bothered to update my room access card; so when the extended period began I had to visit once again the reception to finally update my card duration

• Alex (3/5): Easy stay, it's just a bed, no fancy rooms. - It's the cheapest room you can get on HK Island. it's super run down with zero maintenance over the years. Doesn't look like the photos anymore. Stayed here over 5 years ago it was much better. Now it's Run down. Aircons were super dirty and moldy, bathroom is gross, Curtains falling off rails, TV broken ect...
• Rushan (6/5): My experience was a bit better than the rating states - Well, after moving to another properties of the same class, I realised that it was not that bad. The room itself is not that small. There is at least a decent space for the language. The AC was working fine in my unit. I had a view from my unit! A decent view Not all the stuff speaks English. The room is not very clean, but it is expected. My unit was not as nice as at the pictures.

• K (7/5): Fine for the price and location! - Amazing location in bustling Causeway Bay - just a few minutes to the MTR going to Central, and close to just about any shop you could possibly need. 7/11 on the other side of the street. Also an amazing bakery directly opposite! For the location, I don’t think you can get much better within the price range. Clean bed, and curtain for privacy. It’s a little tricky to find as the apartment block entrance (Phoenix apartments) can be easily missed. Once you’re in the apartment building, you have to take the elevator up a floor. The hostel itself is around the corner and again, a little easy to walk straight past because the signs aren’t clear. Also, if you didn’t already pay online, they only accept cash payment which isn’t clearly stated in the email (+100hkd deposit in person). Finally, I don’t think the room/bathroom was cleaned at all during the 4 days I was there. Only toilet paper replaced. The shower drain was also badly clogged. MUST: Bring your own shower slippers! For the rest, I was very satisfied during my stay!
