Great breakfast - delicious and plentiful with a range of excellent options and freshly cooked. Staff were all charming and very helpful. - sjb (5/5): More Time Packing Than Relaxing... - There are positives: the rooms themselves are well appointed, the breakfast is excellent, the location is fantastic, and one member of the reception team (a woman of Asian heritage) was genuinely kind and helpful throughout. My stay at Monsieur Didot was, unfortunately, a mixed experience — with far more disruption than expected. I ended up changing rooms three times in four nights, which is hardly conducive to a relaxing stay. My first room was excellent — quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. The second room (which was meant to be for the remainder of my stay) was on the rooftop with a private terrace. However, after carrying my luggage up several flights of stairs (there is no lift), I discovered from neighbouring guests that there had been a burglary the night before — understandably concerning. On checking, I realised the terrace doors did not lock, meaning the room was effectively unsecured. I informed the hotel and was told I could move back downstairs unless the issue was fixed. Although I was later told the door had been repaired, it quickly became clear it still did not lock properly, leaving me with no real choice but to move rooms yet again. This was particularly frustrating as I had specifically booked the terrace room to relax and recover following a series of surgeries. Instead, I spent my stay packing and unpacking, with no alternative solution offered and no realistic option to change hotels at that point. To make matters worse, I was not informed in advance that I would need to move again on my final night. I only found out when breakfast was delivered and I was asked what time I would be ready to switch rooms — meaning I had to pack up for the fourth time in four days. Not exactly the restful experience I had hoped for. Overall, while the property has potential, the lack of organisation and communication made this a far less relaxing stay than it should have been.

I hope - Impeccable, neoclassic building with elegant, superior designed spaces and rooms including the rooftop breakfast area. The room was immaculately clean and superbly decorated, the bathroom spacious and modern. The beautiful staircase and elegant parquetry was a delight and the room had excellent air conditioning and expensive toiletries. Breakfast, which was included, was generous, fresh and delicious, a perfect meal to start the day. I loved the proximity to Lycabettos Hill, the Grenadius Library and the city centre but the location was still enriched by elegant stately neoclassical homes and dotted with little pockets of green spaces. Lastly but by no means least, the staff were incredibly gracious, professional and helpful, arranging taxis, dinner reservations and even sharing advice on where to hear the best local live music. I hope to return to Athens and I look forward to staying again at Monsieur Didot. No

The mattress comfort wasn’t quite to our personal preference - too soft , but that’s something that really depends on what each guest likes.

Πεντακάθαρο, ευρύχωρο με άνετο στρώμα στο κρεβάτι, ψηλοταβανο, παράθυρα από τα οποία βλέπεις τα δέντρα απ' έξω και πληθώρα βιβλίων σε διαφορετικές γλώσσες. Έχει ένα μικρό mini bar με όλα τα βασικά. Το πρωινο σερβίρεται είτε στο δωμάτιο είτε στο δεύτερο όροφο. Σημειώνεις σε μια λίστα το προηγούμενο απόγευμα τι επιθυμείς. Βιαζομουν να φύγω για δουλειά και μου το ετοίμασαν πολύ πρόθυμα και λίγο νωρίτερα. Όλα ήταν εξαιρετικά.

- Danielle (10/5): Lovely hotel in a vibrant area - Hotel is in a great location - close to shops and restaurants. They offer a lovely breakfast - including a vegan menu, and they even a to-go breakfast delivered the night before for early travellers. The room was very spacious. Felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Bathroom is large and private. Amazing shower. A little noisy as it’s on the first floor (not the ground floor) in a busy area, but nothing too disruptive. Customer service was top notch.

- Liam (10/5): Charming and quirky hotel in Kolonaki - Great location in Kolonaki, charming and quirky hotel, lovely spacious rooms, great shower, comfy bed, good breakfast. It doesn't have a lift which wasn't a problem for us but could be difficult for some people.

- AJMLondon (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel with wonderful staff - We stayed here for two nights super stylish and super friendly and helpful staff who make the place.Centrally located a 15 minute walk into the centre.I’ve given four stars as the room on the ground floor was noisy with people walking past talking constantly and next door’s room had their tv on full blast at 6.30am difficult to sleep.Apart from this everything else was faultless.I would recommend a higher room to avoid this.

Outstanding breakfast included- delivered directly to the room or to second floor terrace. Netflix and Prime available. Walk in rain shower. Comfortable bed. Daily housekeeping service. Not a problem for us but property does not have an elevator.
- Rolla (10/5): Lovely and tasteful location in the heart of Athens - Location in the heart of Athens was perfect for wandering the streets for coffee, boutique independent shops and excellent restaurants. Rooms were thoughtfully decorated - I especially liked the 'walk-in' wardrobe area. Beds were super-comfy and the host was super kind and gave wonderful advice (and a later check-out, which really helped with logistics).

The breakfast was good but we were disappointed that we had to pay extra for some items. Receptionist recommendation for Aegina island trip was misinformed - we were told everything would be open when in fact everything was closed. It would have been appreciated if the toiletries in the room were restocked every day
