• Yong Xiang (10/5): - Had a truly amazing stay with John over my 2 days in Agra. This was a true homestay experience and the moment i stepped in, I felt welcomed and there was clear/meticulous planning in terms of what I wanted out of the day. Agra is a confusing place for tourists because there are endless touts and transport options and sites to visit. John helped me planned my days to my own liking and was a great guide for me as well. Bonus, I tasted home cooked food which I had missed over my long trip when his mum cooked dinner for me! Would definitely recommend I guess the location is slightly out of the main area but nothing truly out of reach via a tuk tuk ride. There are even hidden spots like craft beer spots nearby so its not exactly super far.
• Raghny (10/5): Top - De gastvrijheid en het gevoel dat ik thuis kwam bij familie. Ik werd heel open en betrokken opgevangen. Ik had echt het gevoel dat ze een fijne connectie met de gasten maken. Het is de fijnste Homestay die ik heb gehad. Ook heel fijn dat ze ook tours geven. Ik heb ook een tour bij ze geboekt voor de Taj Mahal en Red Fort. Erg goed informatie heb ik gekregen en was een fijne tour! :) Ik kan geen slechte puntjes opnoemen. Alles beviel me wel! Hele fijne service! :)
• Kristin (10/5): Had the most wonderful stay in Agra thanks to Zigzag! - The property is in a rural neighborhood, which at first I was unsure about but I ended up loving the location. It was nice to stay somewhere that felt more local. Moses made our stay absolutely spectacular. He was a wonderful host and a great guide for the Taj Mahal and the Fort. He kindly catered to everything I had wanted and made excellent suggestions for Agra and all of India. He was so warm, and kind and welcoming and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him as a host. He makes Zigzag what it is. I would not stay anywhere else in Agra.

• Martina (8/5): Very nice stay! - The room was clean and nice, with a nice common area to sit and chlll. The owner and the family are lovely people! The neighbourhood where the house is located is a bit off, but still close and easy to get with a Tuk Tuk to areas of interest.

The tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Forte was a particular highlight for us, Moses is so knowledgeable and also showed us the best spots for photos. We would come back again without hesitation.

I liked that they took care of everything - I could eat in the homestay for breakfast and dinner and they helped with all of the activities planning. The food was tasty. Their tours were very enjoyable and they are extremely knowledgeable about the taj and fort and local area. I didn't meet many other guests whilst staying there, but this might have just been the timing that people didn't coincide with my visit.

• Natalia (10/5): The best guesthouse I stayed in India - This accommodation is amazing and was the best one I stayed in during my trip to India. It is a simple guesthouse, but you'll find everything you need. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean (which for India is a big plus!), the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. I'm very grateful to have met Moses, who owns the guesthouse. He is a traveler who has a lot of nice stories to tell. I also did a guided tour of the Taj Mahal with him, and it was very good. He took care of everything, and we (me and some other guests) had an amazing tour there at sunrise. It is a bit far from the most interesting parts of Agra, but the city is not big, and the Uber works well and is cheap there
• Daniel (9/5): Superb - The feeling at zigzag is a home away from home. Moses and John are very welcoming and happy to help with everything. The beds are comfy and cool, the shared bathroom is clean. They offer tours which I would recommend as they are very experienced tour guides as well as being really fun guys. Food is available here also. Location is a little bit away for those that may want to be closer to the Taj Mahal but it didn't bother me.

The sunrise Taj Mahal tour he runs is fantastic: informative guide who speaks clear English and he knew all the best spots for photos. Moses goes above and beyond for his guests. When I was as worried about how to make my next bus (the stop was at a highway toll plaza far away) he arranged a good tuk tuk driver who called the bus driver for me to confirm exactly where he needed to drop me. And Moses checked in with me to make sure I got to the bus stop and to my next destination ok. He also has great recommendations for Agra and other places in India. So if you’re looking for the best stay in Agra, I highly recommend Zigzag! Nothing to not like

The entire family his mum and sister were wonderful, we really felt like a part of family and while staying at ZigZag had a proper local assimilation experience. John went out of his way to organise for us a special sunset tour and helped us with everything we need. They have also organised dinners and breakfasts for us, it is the best stay in Agra for sure. • Diane (10/5): A beautiful family, welcoming stay for Agra - Moses and his family 😊 are a delight! Wonderfully welcoming into their home. They’re happy souls and available to help/advise at all times. Room was clean and comfortable and each night slept well. Shared balcony area was good to have to relax and chat with other guests. We shared the bathroom but there are rooms available with private washrooms/shower. Food was great, both breakfast and dinner. We arrived late on our first night and only stayed for two. So Moses helped us with a packed itinerary of ‘must see’ sights in Agra, starting with a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal with a group of 6 (including ourselves) led by himself. Both excursions of good value. Moses is very passionate about what he does, genuinely cares and seems to enjoy everything about his lifestyle. Lucky for those who spend time with him 😊 If we returned to Agra, we would stay no other place but at ZigZag! We are mature backpackers (43/47) and felt at ease with the much younger crowd here. They have a respectful ‘quiet time’ and all adhered to this rule.

His place is in the middle of the local community, so you'll experience local life! Also, I definitely recommend doing the sunrise tour with Moses! He's super knowledgeable, not only about the Taj Mahal, but about India in general. He also takes great photos and videos!

They really care about their guests and go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Aside from the amazing sunrise Taj Mahal tour he runs, all the guests staying there were take to try some local street food and restaurants near his home. It’s located in a quiet local neighbourhood away from the touristic area of Agra - so you get a real sense of life in north India.

Moses and his brother are incredible hosts - they are super friendly and give great recommendation, not only for Agra but also India in general. Moses helped with my bus and turned a super stressful experience into something calm. I was also sick with food poisoning from something I ate on the streets and Moses was so so helpful and caring! • Stephanie (10/5): Amazing hosts & epic Taj tour! - Moses and Stephie were lovely and accomodating. As soon as I arrived they sent me all the need to know info about Agra in WhatsApp, and offered to set me up with a tuktuk driver to see the sites (without any pressure!). They do a home cooked meal in the evenings which was delicious and a great chance to chill with other guests. The tour to the Taj Mahal with Moses was INCREDIBLE! He was a fantastic host and did the absolute most to ensure we learnt a lot and got great pictures. I don’t usually join tours, but would definitely recommend this one for something so special. Showers were also warm! Nothing - all good.

They also serve dinner, which is nice for having a chat with other guests and Moses, who loves to tell stories about India. It's located a bit outside of the Centre, but that's an opportunity to get to know India a bit outside of the touristic area.

Moses takes exceptionally good care of all his guests from before they arrive until after they reach their next destination. For us, his family cooked a delicious dinner even though we arrived late, he and his brother took us on a super interesting sunrise tour of Taj Mahal, and he also arranged our onward journey after our stay with him. In the evenings, we spend a lot of time talking and he told us a lot about Indian culture and his personal travel adventures, which was super fun! Also, all the other people staying at the homestay at the same time were super nice, which made the experience even better. Would love to visit again some time and will recommend his place to everyone I know. Thanks again, Moses!

• Shallcross (9/5): Incredibly warm family welcome in Agra - you will want to stay longer - The family that runs Zigzag are warm, welcoming and flexible. They tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible and nothing seemed to faze them at all. They were also just nice to talk to and they made time to chat with their guests. It really did feel like being a guest in a friend’s home. All kinds of local, practical advice and tips as well that made my stay in Agra much easier. This is also a good place to meet other tourists who are travelling in India. The atmosphere in the homestay is relaxed and friendly and it’s very easy to find people to have a beer with or to go for dinner with. Probably wise to take the hotel’s number with you in case you get lost - it’s not on a main road and if you’re anything like me you might have trouble navigating your way back

• Richelle (9/5): Safe & friendly host in Agra! - As a solo female traveler, safety is my number 1 priority. I felt very safe in Zigzag Homestay. The location is quite far from the center, but it’s easy to use Uber to get a taxi. Moses (owner) has created a connected environment between all the guests during my stay and put me in contact with other solo traveler guests which made it easier to become friends and do activities together. I felt taken care of by Moses and he really took the time to hangout with all the guests. Sometimes we will just be lounging in the office chitchatting which created a great environment between all the guests. Moses also helps organize food tour and Taj Mahal tours. He is very informative and has a lot of knowledge about India and is happy to share it. Facilities were modest as it is a homestay, but clean and sufficient for a short stay. There were some mosquitoes in the room, but this is unavoidable in India. Dorm for 6 was a little small but then again, it’s a homestay.
• Aus (10/5): Caring and sociable homestay/hostel - Zigzag is a great mix of hostel and homestay - all the friendliness and local advice of a homestay whilst being really sociable with other travellers and offering lots of activities. Moses is a wonderful personable and caring host - super attentive without being overbearing at all. I was really unwell when I arrived at Zigzag and Moses was incredibly kind, checking in if I needed anything, offering advice and letting me check out late. The location isn't quite in the centre of Agra and is a short autorickshaw ride away from most things. There are one or two places to eat within walking distance which Moses recommended - I didn't go as I was unwell so can't comment on these!

• Rajat (10/5): Exceptional - The host. Moses is an amazing host and takes care of all the guests. He will guide your way through the city and will plan the day for you in the best way possible. The property was super clean and a nice place to meet travellers from around the world.
• Istvan (10/5): Helpful Host - Great home stay (hostel like) run by a friendly family that a solo traveler could ask for. Moses’ recommendations made my short visit the most time efficient and I liked his restaurant suggestions for both dinner and breakfast. The small but clean and comfy dormitory is all you need to crash after a tiring day. The outdoor terrace with plenty of comfortable beds also makes you feel at home, especially in the company of the cutest playful and friendly family beagle.

His friendly demeanor instantly made me feel at home. Throughout my stay, Moses proved to be an invaluable resource, offering insightful suggestions on how to make the most of my time in Agra (and beyond). Whether it was recommending the best sights to see, where to change money, or providing practical tips for navigating the city, Moses was always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the bustling streets of Agra. As for the location, it was perfect as it allowed me to easily access all the major attractions, including the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. In summary, I would highly recommend Zigzag Homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in this beautiful city.

• Francesco (10/5): Home away from home - Zigzag is an amazing Homestay! Moses and his Family makes you feel home from the time you get there.. Moses likes to conect other travellers. He is a traveller himself and knows a lot about India.. he organized a tour for us and made sure everyone was fine and got on time on its bus or train.. hat a streetfood tour one evening wich was fun and got lots of informations.. room is great with oen lockers.. hot shower always clean and great breakfast. Thank you Moses and familie to make my stay in Agra so much enjoyable. That i had to leave.

• Mikayla (10/5): Home away from home in Agra! - Moses and Stefi were phenomenal hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home, comfortable and taken care of. They honestly took care of every need or request we had and shared so much of themselves with us. They felt like a family we could rely on and it made our stay in Agra so much more calm, knowing we were well looked after by such kind and generous people. The food was amazing and the bed super comfy!
• Lucija (10/5): Exceptional - The homestay is an amazing place to stay in Agra. Moses (the owner) and his family are the nicest people, who will make you feel like you're at home. Moses helped us organize everything and had some great recommendations for food and things to do in Agra. I also joined his food tour (which was amazing if you want to experience some local food) and a cooking class that is available in the hostel. Additionally, Moses has some great knowledge about the history and culture so we had some great talks. I would 100% recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to be welcomed in Agra with open arms and leave with new friends for life.

He let me store my luggage at the place even though I already checked out and helped with the booking of bus/train tickets. Thank you so much to this kind man :). The beds in the dorms were very comfy as well
• Elena (10/5): Lovely - Best place! Moses helped me so much with my solo travel (not only for Agra, but he knows great spots all over India). He and his family are very welcoming and warmhearted. I’m very greatful that I stayed in this homestay. Agra gets really cold during the night in winter and there is no heating. But I could sit with them next to the fire :).
• Julia (9/5): Nice Homestay with a great host - Moses is perfect host who makes you welcome in his home, advises you on sightseeing options, ticket booking process and is very helpful with travel logistic. Breakfast and dinner were nice tho a bit overpriced I’d say but for the comfort of not having to go outside, it paid off as there wasn’t that many i options around without taking auto. Just be mindful that if you travel during winter months it will be very cold and bathroom/showers are outside of the room.

• Nelli (10/5): Hands down: Best home stay experience so far - MOSES! How amazing is this person? He helped me and my co traveller friend so much before, during and after our stay. We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Best home stay ever. Especially as a solo female traveller you will feel safe and super well informed. Moses will give you the best tipps and help organise Tuktuks etc. Just perfect. 100% recommend the Street Food tour. You won't regret it. The location is in a residential area. Offering food on request, amazing chai & laundry. Rooftoop area to chill. 1 dorm with 6 beds (bunk beds) and one double room available. 2 bathrooms (upper floor, base floor). Was able to pay by Revolut transfer which was really convenient. They have a dog (Sky) and a cat. I liked everything and this made my first trip to India really easier. One thing...Maybe I was too late in the game, but i felt like having 60 seconds of hot shower.
• Thea (10/5): Exceptional - Our visit to Zigzag homestay was the perfect start to our India trip and definitely gave us a flying start. Moses is the perfect host and helped us a lot with everything from booking bus tickets and transport in Agra, to give tips on where to go and where to stay, as well as answering every questions we had about India and the culture. He also cancelled our booking for free when we missed our first flight to India (and we rebooked a few days later). The street food tour in the evening Moses took us on was one of the highlights! I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone.

• Sean (9/5): 100% recommended - Moses is a super host. Gave us loads of information, tips and recommendations, organised tuktuk transfer to taj Mahal in the morning and all day if we had so desired. Great communication. Fridge full of drinks that you can help yourself to (and pay it at the end of your stay), lots on offer for breakfast and dinner. The room was very clean and we were comfortable. Their dog Sky is very friendly and likes meeting new people. Location can be difficult to find for tuktuks, however it is clearly marked on Google maps and on uber, and it is away from the very chaotic city centre so it's peaceful. Also as stated Moses has a connection to arrange tuktuks so it is possible to avoid this issue entirely

Moses was able to take us on a sunset walk by the river to watch the Taj Mahal change colour , fabulous rooftop views from a friends terrace ,and the best restaurant food in Agra. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. we had to leave
