Guest Reviews
- Ismene (8/5): - Decent hotel in a good location.
- Charlene (10/5): - Clean lovely staff helpful
- Anthony (2/5): Unhappy - Terrible. My worst experience ever. I will not be staying there again.
- Danae (10/5): - Lovely staff - a bit confusing with having to enter at the property next door and use their parking. We did drive around for quite a while looking for the parking.
The rooms are lovely and the location perfect. Highly recommend this property.
- Alejandra (10/5): - Very clean room, not smelly pillows just fresh.
Thank you.
- Margaret (10/5): - Charming place near enough to most of the places we wanted to go.
- Carrie (8/5): Nice location. - The Leeson Lodge is clean, affordable and so central. The en-suite bathrooms are tiny and also are wet rooms which doesn’t really work well. No air conditioning either but the price reflects this.
- Juan (10/5): - My husband and I did a 10 day trip through Ireland and needed to stay the last night in Dublin in order to catch our flight the next day. The Leeson came up as a "recommended" option and we were extremely happy with this place. A true little gem in the heart of Dublin.
- Sarah (10/5): - Amazing staff and very helpful!
- Kin Bok (10/5): - Staff is really helpful and friendly. They still help me to check in even arriving in midnight. Good value of price for staying.
- Tim (10/5): - Perfect for getting to Aviva Stadium
- Dorothy (10/5): - It was quiet and respectable. Everything was in good working order. The location is ideal for public transport and amenities.
- Mirian (10/5): - Excelente la ubicación, la limpieza de la habitación, a pesar de no hablar en español amables en la atención
- douglas c (10/5): - Staff was great for late check in. Street light out front is amount not the properties fault. Is a bit of a walk to find dining options
- Alex (10/5): - I absolutely loved my stay here and would always come back here anytime I'm in Dublin. The staff was so friendly and kind. The room was clean. Walking distance to the Luas and also walkable to City Centre so perfect location.
I will say, the parking was quite hard as an American. Only 5 spaces and very tight to get into I was sweating parking lol but it's doable. Also the shower was combined with the toilet so you had to mop the floor as the toilet shared the shower floor. Hot water would run out at night if you showered too late. But that would not stop me from staying here again I absolutely loved my stay!
- Karl (10/5): - Has become my go-to location for overnight stays in Dublin. Great location and pricing. Excellent soundproofing of windows. Adorable and very friendly staff. It's a guest house carved out of a residential building so the rooms and various layouts are not to any kind of standard format which leads to some curious shapes and sauna surprises! But all very, very comfortable and cozy and always spotless. If you're expecting some generic, soulless, McHotel then this isn't for you. Aircoach to the airport stops almost outside, an added bonus. And do try to ramble around the residential neighborhoods on this side of the canal with their rather ravishing houses and established gardens. It makes for the most delightful kind of real estate envy!
- Donald (10/5): Great Spot - Always a great stay. Very near baggot and leeson st and staff are always very friendly. A great find in Dublin.
- Emmanuel (10/5): - The Leeson Lodge was the perfect spot for my last day in Dublin visiting. Not only did I get impeccable service but the bus to the airport is literally at the doorstep of the Lodge. Highly Recommended!
- Peter (8/5): - Good location for walking into City Centre
- Steven Silas (10/5): - We had a good experience at Leeson. It was a great location to visit Dublin. It was about a 20 min walk to St. Stephen’s Green and the Grafton Street area where there is lots to do. There is also a Starbucks within 5 mins walk. It was inexpensive to taxi (using Free Now) to those areas. The room we had was basic but clean, comfortable, felt safe and the staff was nice. Parking was limited (about 4 or 5 spaces) but we got lucky every time we needed to park. Parking is also gated which was a plus. We ran out of hot water a couple of nights but if you use the water sparingly by turning it off and on, it should be enough hot water for 2 ppl. For the price, I really was satisfied and would stay again.
- Leah (10/5): - Excellent customer service; the receptionist was wonderful and very welcoming. They advised good places to eat and drink and assured me as a solo, female traveller I was in a safe area. The room itself was warm, big, and clean.
- Meredith (10/5): - Loved the Leeson Lodge. Staff is so so so friendly and it was in a great location. I always felt safe here. Such a good value for the affordable price. Could not recommend it more
- Paolo (10/5): - It was a fantastic stay!
- kathy (8/5): - It's a very nice property but the next time I will get a regular double room. The bathroom with the drain in the middle of the floor was not so great.
- Alex (8/5): - Great location
- Amanda (10/5): - Great hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel/surrounding area felt safe. Loved the complimentary breakfast as well.
- Ian (10/5): - We were able to park and forget our car on site as everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance or a short bus ride. The place was clean, the bed comfortable and even included a continental breakfast. First one in four weeks travel.
- Kathy (8/5): - Difficult to take a shower without getting water everywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was good, we had to leave before 8 AM and they didn't serve breakfast until 8:30 so we did not get any. Perhaps an option of a few more crackers to go with your monrning coffee would have been nice. everything else was lovely, really nice
- Robert (8/5): - Great position for walking to the main attractions. The rooms are quiet (double glazing). Very good food available close by. Good exercise carrying bags upstairs. Felt real
- Kathryn (10/5): - Wonderful stay at Leesin Lodge with my husband and two adult children. The rooms were spacious; no ice quality bedding; beautiful building; nice spacious kitchen/dining area available to guests. Lovely enclosed outdoor area with picnic table for evening get togethers. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return and highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and very nice rooms.
- Robert (8/5): - The property was great. We had a great evening in the back courtyard and the location was terrific. One hiccup was breakfast. Due to a misunderstanding, we all thought the front desk told us there was a kitchen available to use (no food provided). We spent quite a bit at stores and coffee kiosk during 2 day stay when we could have eaten there. Very disappointing but otherwise a good place.
- Charles (6/5): Old fashioned - Good staff. Funky bathroom with shower drain in the middle of the floor and only a curtain separating shower head from the rest of the bathroom. Very dated furnishings. Nice light breakfast.
- Gregory (10/5): - Leeson Lodge has character! Nice & friendly staff. I will stay there when I come back to Dublin.
- Alfred (10/5): - Was a great place in a very good location in Dublin. Housekeeping does a fine job. I recommend this place!
- Marc (6/5): - The online name and name of the facility were not identical and the picture online didn’t match the view of the front door from the street. I wondered if I was in the right place
- john (8/5): - Getting hot water for a shower was a challenge, it seemed fine for the tub though. The elevator didn’t go to our floor, my wife doesn’t pack lightly! Nice place, and good location. The staff was great!
- Chanice (10/5): - It was lovely here, it was close enough for us to walk everywhere. The staff were great which make the experience much more enjoyable!
- tanita (8/5): - Very kind staff, no amenities or toiletries available though, and reception is only staffed from 8am-8pm. But the staff were so good that it was worth it
- Duncan (6/5): - OK but a lot of traffic noise. Expensive for what it is. Poor breakfast
- Rosaleen (10/5): Nice spot. Excelent location - Very small room but just what I needed for one night at a reasonable price.
- Jacob (8/5): Minimal but comfortable - It was a little hard to find, the office isn't called Lesson Lodge and there is a bar nearby called Lesson Lodge. It is called Lesson Bridge House. So, that was a little confusing. It was minimal, but comfortable. Great location in the city.
- Daniel (10/5): Highly recommend - Awesome little gem. Perfect for one person traveling. It was very cozy and a great location close to lots of things but away from it at the same time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect base for short stay in Dublin - Lesson Lodge offers good access to the city centre and is well-positioned for transport services. The accommodation was clean and tidy and comfortable for the 2 nights I stayed. For the price, I felt it offered great value for money, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
- Darren (10/5): - Excellent friendly staff, lovely room and very comfortable bed.
- Jarod (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff
- Cristina (10/5): - We stayed one night in one of the standard rooms. Very good size and good beds, balcony, small fridge and perfect heater.
A bit disappointed with the toilet, it was small and the shower had no plate so the floor stayed wet all day.
Overall it's a good stay.
- Kathleen (10/5): Great - Nice room - very clean - chocolates on the pillow were a lovely touch , and the complimentary slippers . Perfectly comfortable and great for an overnight stay . Bathroom was small , but again , absolutely fine . Receptionist was helpful . I would stay here again if I needed a room for the night in Dublin
- Dayna (8/5): - the staff were so friendly and helpful!! the room was hot but we were on the third floor. The room was small but it was all we needed as we spend most of the time outside. about 700m water from the main shopping centre which was convenient. Would totally recommend this hotel if you are not staying inside for long periods of time!!
