• Carl (8/5): - The location was amazing just next to the old city of Dubrovnik. The host were pleasant and nice. the view from the apartment of the old city is fantastic. Tricky part was the amount of stairs. It would have help if the host had taken the initiative to do a walk through to show us where everything was. We did not realise there was a washing machine in the closet by the door. We had asked about the closet and was told it was storage and we did not look untill the last day. It would be nice to have some basic things like pepper, salt and sugar and a chopping board in the apartment.
• Emily (8/5): Great location and comfortable for 6 people - The location was the best, right by the Pile gate. There were some stairs to get up to the apt but this is Dubrovnik. Pros- 6 people fit comfortably. The beds were comfortable, the dining area was a good size, and the 2 bathrooms were adequate. The balcony had a great view. Cons - the freezer needs defrosting, the toaster and microwave don’t work, and we felt like we couldn’t enjoy that balcony because the neighbor kept complaining of noise (screaming and swearing up at us) early in the evening, 6:30pm, when we sat out there chatting before leaving for dinner. I live in Zagreb, Croatia and I’ve never had a negative interaction with any Croatians ever except this time. My elderly parents couldn’t believe it. Up above

• Andreia (10/5): Quelle bonne surprise - L'emplacement est parfait, de L'appartement nous étions à 3minutes a pied de la porte de pile. Le balcon est un vrai plus avec une vie sublime sur les remparts. Tout est a porter de main. Deco un peu vieillotte mais tout est tres propre et tres confortable.

• Donna (10/5): Fabulous location at Pile gate - The location is fabulous. From the balcony you can see the sea and the people entering the old town. The 60 steps/stairs to the apartment were challenging for my 83 y/o mother but the view was rewarding. Beds were firm and kitchen was small but had everything needed to cook a meal. A/C was cool and in every room. Great stay!

So many stairs. Not enough hot water. Some sort of shower curtain would have been nice to keep in the heat while showing. I wish they accepted credit cards.

• Marcin (9/5): Great apartment just steps away from the walls. - The location is perfect. The view from the master bedroom is incredible and I loved opening the windows and the shutters and watching the walls of the Old City in the first light.
• Margie (3/5): Location is right outside Pile Gate, close to a taxi stand, bus stop and restaurants. That's it! - The property's location is exceptional. The area is quiet at night, provided you keep windows closed. The property was very clean. The pillows & mattresses were very comfortable. We felt safe and secure. Photos of property are outdated & misrepresent the aging rooms, with very old & broken furniture, no drapery, windows that don't work, exposed outlets (plugs), holes in walls AND a baloncy that was NOT part of our 2-room, 2 adults reservation. We argued to get 2 sets of keys & delt w/3 people, 1 of whom spoke no English. We waited 12min. upon arrival to be let into property by the non-speaking English woman who was short tempered. Be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs, once inside building, to get to the 2-bedroom apartment.
• Victor (10/5): - Good apartment, very well placed, comfortable and spacious for 4. The manager touches base with you on WhatsApp, which is convenient. But the check-in staff availability is variable, which caused us to wait 30mn for check-in, and 30mn for check-out due to low responsiveness. Otherwise, a proper stay a few steps away from the old town main gate and the nice coastal corniche.

Very near Pile gate with easy access to the old town and buses. Interior is basic but perfectly adequate for a base in Dubrovnik as location is excellent!
• Gabriel (1/5): Terrible experience, 100% would not recommend. - We didn’t like ANYTHING from the property itself, however the only positive thing about it was the location. Fake advertisement of the whole property - the photos were not in accordance with what we found. The balcony was locked and couldn’t be opened (the photos on booking.com showed a picture of an open balcony). The rooms were not habitable and the furniture was not adequate and in clear need of renovation. The whole apartment looked dirty and unwelcoming. We kept getting a lot of ants on the kitchen top. The bathrooms were not clean and needs maintenance. To top it off, the owner was very rude and disconcerned.

• Jenelle (7/5): Good - Location was great apartment very spacious bath for the kids was handy Kitchen very small stove top didn't work tried cooking and egg took 20 mins to fry. They did say they would send an electrician which didn't happen when we were there but may be fixed now. I could feel sand in the bed so I don't think the sheets had been changed.
• Panda (9/5): Superb - The apartment was very nice, with great location (probably the best area in Dubrovnik). The only negative thing about this property was the beds, the back pain from sleeping on that bed is no joke. So if you’re particularly sensitive about that, might not be the best. Everything else was perfect.
• Matyas (1/5): Very disappointing. Disappointed at the owners and booking.com for not helping us. - Location The entire kitchen was filled with ants. We tried to reach out to the owners after the ants had gotten inside a bunch of our food… the lady said “you brought too much food” and then stormed out of the apartment. It also lists that there is a washer here… but the lady gave me specific instructions not to go in to the room where they keep it… all in all, worst experience I’ve ever had in an apartment anywhere.

• Christine (10/5): Amazing stay! - The location is fantastic, just outside the walls of Old Town. Literally a 5 minute walk inside. The amenities are basic but the beds were comfortable and we slept well. It has everything that you need. The staff were also amazing. I was messaged straight away when I initially booked by the owner. My number then passed on to help with arrival and check in. Was then contacted by another to help us find the apartment and hand over the keys for our stay. Couldn't fault any of it. Would recommend. We were were four girls that stayed, and so the hot water ran out quickly in the shower but we didn't mind too much as it was super hot!
• Shuo (8/5): Great location ☺️ - The location can’t be better - right outside of the Pile gate. Has almost everything you need. The pillows are super high, which is difficult to sleep on (personally).

• Keith (7/5): Apart from the terrace issue we would stay again. - Location is perfect for the old city and the terrace provided a great outlet and extension to the room. Although a sofa bed the topping mattress was extremely comfortable. The room was smaller than expected. There is limited space for storage and clothes. Unfortunately two separate tenants of the adjacent apartment decided they should have a right of access to the terrace. On reporting to the owner there was no option but to try and deal with it ourselves, which spoilt our stay and caused an agressive presence with the adjacent occupiers. It could have easily been resolved when first reported.

• Alice (7/5): Decent little room - Excellent location with gives you quick access to the Old Town and Pile Bus Stop. Good air conditioning. Smart TV available. Kitchen area included plenty of items to use. Door to the studio is glass paned with just a thin white curtain to pull across to separate it from a communal walkway. No storage so be prepared to live out of your suitcase whilst staying. Shutters do little block out the sunlight.

We also had two good restaurants right at the gate of the apartment. Also Ana (The female managing the apartment) was extremely helpful with all our requirements. Ljerka the female who met to give the keys was extremely rude. Not at all helpful.

• Sue (7/5): Great location but not comfortable for a group - The location and the views from the balcony was the best thing going for this property. I would stay again for a night, but no longer. We did not get a friendly greeting, but were rushed from Pile gate up the hill and up all the stairs. We were clearly struggling and it was very hot but we had to hurry. We didn’t even get a hello or a welcome. Every other accom in Croatia welcomed us with wine, cheese platter, we didn’t even get tea making facilities. There was no where comfortable to sit as a group - no lounge, even though there is a photo of lounge on website, this was converted to a bed. Chairs on balcony very uncomfortable. Kitchen was barely usable, so high up, - difficult even to wash up with the sink so high, no dishwasher, no power point.
• Zoe (9/5): Great property for a family or group stay to explore and enjoy Dubrovnik - The location just outside the city walls was perfect - we could be in the old town in minutes but could get away from the bustle. The balcony was a real bonus. The bedrooms were a great size and comfortable, and great to have two bathrooms. The kitchen set up is a little basic and we ended up having to coffee machine, toaster and kettle on the floor. But no big deal!

Would recommend using a 'What3words' location for future guests although we were met outside by the owner. Kitchen facilities are limited and raised up quite high which would make handling pots and pans difficult for shorter people. I'm 5'9 and it was a bit uncomfortable cooking on the hob because of the raised design. No sofa, communal seating limited to dining table and seating on balcony. Balcony door was a bit difficult to close properly and couldn't open 2nd door. Washing machine door was broken and needed to use a fork to open door.

There wasn’t a working washing machine as listed. I was offered laundry service for clothes after I inquired about where the machine was, but I had to pay, which didn’t seem appropriate.

• Arpita (9/5): Excellent location and great host. - Perfect location. 2 min to the Pile gate entrance. 2 bathrooms was helpful since we were 5 people. The apartment on 3rd floor. So was hard with all the luggage we had. Not the apartments fault. But maybe something to keep in mind when booking this place.
• Peony (10/5): - This was a beautiful apartment right at the gates of Old Town Dubrovnik. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. It was the perfect location with everything we needed. So close to everything and the hosts were very quick to reply to any questions. My only suggestion is to pack light because you will have to navigate stairs with your luggage. We would absolutely stay there again!
• Masoud-dby (2/5): not a good experience - it was close to old town the stairs were very bad and taking the luggage all the way up and down was not good at all. also there were insects in the bed which bits the family. the host sent someone to spray the room but still some bounds to stay

• Hussain (10/5): Perfect location- great host! - The location was perfect. Two minutes away from Piles Gate of the Old Town. Walking distance to the cable cars, the sea and taxi stand. Communication with the owner (Bozo) was brilliant. The apartment is like home away from home. Two bathrooms was an advantage too! Two flights of stairs to climb as the apartment is on the second floor. It's fine to walk down but walking back up after a long day out on the heat was tough- especially if you are unfit like my friends and I! Carrying the suitcases up and down was a challenge!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Bozo was very helpful in making our stay fun and easy! I appreciate his help in organizing transfers from the ferry and to the airport. Check in was easy! The apartment has a terrace with a beautiful view of the old town wall and mini harbor! Perfect to end your day!
• Gerry (10/5): Great apartment and great location. - We had an amazing stay here. The location was perfect so close to Pile gate. The three bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable with a lovely little terrace looking out to the city walls and the sea. The communication was good and they arranged transfer for us too which made it easier. Great location and perfect apartment.
