This hotel offers maximum proximity to almost all major tourist attractions, making it the absolute best base for any traveler. While Mercury Hotel is a cozy 3-star property with a compact layout (just two rooms per floor), the sheer warmth, empathy, and support of the staff completely surpassed the service I’ve experienced at 5-star hotels. In fact, I have stayed at two renowned 5-star hotels in Hanoi, but I found Mercury to be far more authentic and welcoming. There is nothing unnecessarily fancy here—just pure, genuine hospitality. The Standout Staff: * Traing (Selina): She is the perfect front office person! Beyond just greeting you with a warm smile, she genuinely listens to understand your queries. Whether it’s helping order a Grab or assisting with any random request, she is on top of it. She even constantly makes sure you’ve had your food! * Emma: Super quick with her responses, Emma ensured that every single detail was seamlessly sorted out and available to me beforehand. Why You Should Stay Here: If you love to talk, understand the local culture, and get real recommendations about the best places and food, this is the ultimate spot. The team provides full services with a curated, empathetic touch. It is perfect for everyone, but a absolute must-stay for newcomers to Hanoi. Highly recommended! I will definitely choose this over a generic luxury hotel any day. Provided water bottles are of quite small in size.

- Harshit (8/5): Good vibes of hanoi - Cozy balcony, location was so good, everything was near to the accommodation.. The washroom was a little old. So many beds, there should be a couch or sitting area in place of the 4th bed.

Free breakfast - continental and hot were simple but tasty (including pho noodle soup). Hotel signage did not actually match the name on booking.com, make sure you have the right address. That is how I confirmed I was in the right hotel. One of the single bed was sagged in the middle, but the double sized bed was quite comfy. My two adult nieces did not mind though.

- Pradeepa (5/5): - Es wurde ein Partnerhotel für uns gefunden, da wir eine Nacht in einem Zimmer verbringen mussten, welches nicht unserer Buchung entsprach. Unser Gepäck wurde dorthin transportiert während wir in der Stadt unsere Besichtigungen machten. Das war sehr zeitsparend für uns. Wir bekamen bei Ankunft ein Zimmer, dass mit vier Betten ein Familienzimmer war und dieses wurde uns als „Upgrade“ untergejubelt, ohne vorherige Nachfrage!Unsere Buchung war eine Suite mit einem Doppelbett! Was nutzen ein paar Quadratmeter mehr, wenn diese mit Betten vollgestellt sind!? Der Frühstücksraum hat keine Fenster, was in den Häusern nicht ungewöhnliches. Allerdings könnte er trotzdem wesentlich ansprechender gestaltet sein! Er wirkt sehr minimalistisch!

The Location is great - just a few minutes away from the Hoan Kiem lake in the city center. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was really friendly and supportive. The breakfast was good. The rooms are a bit dated.

- RD (10/5): Perfect Stay in the Heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter - The hotel is strategically located right in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, making it extremely convenient to explore the city’s main attractions, restaurants, and shops. Despite being in such a central area, the stay was very comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed. What truly stood out was the staff — they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. Nothing

The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and went above and beyond, especially by beautifully decorating our room for our anniversary, which made it unforgettable. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with an excellent bed. A special thanks to Lina for her kindness and support. Highly recommended for a truly special and memorable stay.
