Guest Reviews
- Zbigniew (9/5): Good place for a short stay. - The location is great. The decor is very interesting. The rooms are spacious for London standards, comfortable and we'll equipped. Rather modest breakfast. Poor sound insulation.
- Melissa (6/5): Other than the air conditioning, it was a pleasant stay. - Loved the quirky-ness of the hotel the minute you step through the doors. The air conditioning did not work to begin with. We asked at reception of someone could take a look while we were out. Came back lovely, but then we wanted it off for going to sleep as it was blasting out. It wouldn’t switch off. Then my partner was fiddling with the buttons to try and work it out. Managed to switch it off. Then at 3am it switched its self back on blasting out freezing cold air.

- Harper (9/5): -
- Stone (10/5): Superbly kind and professional and exceptional care when I fell. - I fell as I turned to go to the toilet near reception and tripped up the step. I hit my head on the wall as I fell. Dora was there immediately helping me and applying tissues and pressure to my heavily bleeding g forehead . She was exceptionally kind and calm and got other staff to help, bringing first aid box snd calling an ambulance . As I was conscious and responding to Dora’s treatment they suggested attending A&E at UCL. Dora not only orgs used transport but stayed with me for over two hours at the hospital until I had CT scans etc and stitches. She organised transport back to the hot where staff continued to assist and organised a meal close by. They were excepting exceptional , organising personal transport to St Pancras early the next morning two we could catch our Euro star train to France . Exceptional
Care and kindness throughout our star . Door was fantastic .So professional, kind and calm. Brilliant leader and she has shown exemplary professionalism. She even phoned us enroute through France to ensure I was ok. 100%👏👏👏👏 Rooms very small and stars difficult with luggage but staff helped carry out cases
The restaurant they suggested Spagnolli was near and atmospheric .Exceptionally kind and professional staff 👏👏👏
- Dinesen (10/5): - Very intimate, nice staff.
- Baxter-Blyth (6/5): - A lot to like from the aesthetics through to the room. Stylish and big. The noise. I paid over 300 quid for this room and I was below reception and there was walking around untill 2pm. Even with ear buds in I couldn’t sleep.
- Brodsky frenkel pavel (10/5): -
- Guillaume (8/5): -
- Rex (7/5): - Unique, location
- Rosemary (10/5): Fabulous - Great location, lovely hotel, stylish. And super staff The stairs to the room with a heavy bag
- Monica (8/5): we enjoyed our stay very much. - Breakfast was oké. Nice bread and sweets, very good coffee and fresh juices.
Location was perfect. Couldn't be better. The size of the shower was rather small.
No lift. We (70+) had to carry our suitcases 4 flights of stairs.
Luckily the staff helped out! Many thanks
- Loïc (8/5): -
- Jay (10/5): - The location is great minutes from the tube. Easy check in and nice hotel. I stay there often when I go London Nothing
- Elisabeth (4/5): it was exhausting as not enough space, but ok. - location was ideal for the transport we needed - eurostar and tube so that was easy - not too far to walk. I was disappointed with the breakfast, basically a help yourself and in the kitchen - no teapots (in Engliand!) - nothing very british - to be fair, I must have missed the fact that there would be no bacon - had been looking forward to a bacon roll or something british like that - did not appreciate not finding out earlier that we had room 14 which was at top of building and no life and no one offered to help with the suitcases either - my poor husband had to carry both up! that is why i said the staff were so so - a bit lackadaisical - bed was comfy, room small - would probs do airbnb next time
- John (10/5): -
- Martyn (9/5): Jo on reception was excellent -
- Noumgerm (9/5): -
- Ryan (8/5): Absolutely amazing - Property is beautiful and amazing stay loved the balcony staff where amazing The shower toilet set up is very tight and uncomfortable think that needs looking at but other than that a beautiful hotel
- Elcin Nur (7/5): - Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, lots of space. I stayed on the ground floor and the noise from the street kept me up at night/ woke me up really early in the morning.
- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Apartment was spacious and clean Bathroom doors didn’t shut properly
- Victor (10/5): - Nicely appointed and easy to get around. Lack of lift or at least a luggage dumb waiter.
- Paul (9/5): A short, convenient indulgent staycation for people with some knowledge or affinity with London - Great location on the basis that you have researched the area. A very pleasant walk to Camden and other attractions that you will find listed as 'must see' in the area. The room being one floor down from the ground floor could create a slight sense of being detatched from the world, however lighting and air-conditioning was adaquate compensation for most people.
- Fiona (6/5): Useful location for an early morning Eurostar but I would not stay again - The staff were friendly and the bed comfortable The interior if the hotel is very dark and the location, on what must be London’s ugliest square, quite intimidating.
- Francine (10/5): Fantastic hotel wonderful staff great breakfast! Loved the bathroom highly recommend - Everything Nothing
- AMANDA (8/5): -
- Celia (10/5): I would definitely stay again. - It's a really cool looking hotel and there are snacks out which is really nice. I got a lot of work done just in the communcal area. Facilities were also great. Could have done with a lift or someone to help with my very heavy suitcase on the narrow steep stairs.
- Marcia (6/5): One night stay in interesting part of London. - Excellent location for the Kings Cross / Coal Drops Yard area with lots of shops and restaurants, and short walk to nearest underground stations. The building has been redeveloped with plenty of character and quirky decor. Staff very pleasant. Room reasonable size, bed large and comfortable, tea & coffee makers in the room as well as a few complimentary snacks and soft drinks. Can't comment on any other room, but our Large King was in the basement and as well as being rather dark with very little natural daylight, there was quite a lot of noise from above, especially in the early hours, from footsteps and trolleys etc.. We were only there for one night, but would probably have asked to be moved to one of the upper floors had we been staying for longer.
- Marcel (8/5): -
- Karolina (8/5): Great location but odd design - Location, location, location! The studio was very clean and had all the basics one might need on a short holiday. The complimentary drinks and nibbles were a nice touch. Comfortable living surface. Upon arrival we were checked in by a member of staff who talked to us like she couldn't be bothered. She was listless and didn't smile at all - not what the British hospitality and customer service are known for!
After the check-in at the hotel's impressive main desk it was rather disappointing to discover the chaotic interior design of our apartment. It featured a random combination of styles and colours, where at least half of the fixtures were old (stains on a chair, chipping cupboard in the kitchenette, a cupboard door that was hard to close, dusty curtains). It didn't make us want to stay at the apartment, not even for a quick breakfast so we ate out all the time throughout the stay and just used the accommodation as a bedroom with rather unusual bathroom and toilet facilities (two cabins resembling telephone booths - it was a bit uncomfortable to have to figure out how not to get undressed in front of our children). Also, what made for a relative discomfort was the lack of hooks for towels - since we used 5 towels, we had to come up with ingenious ways to dry them every day. It would be nice to be able to separate the two sleeping areas somehow - what's the point of fitting each space with a separate TV otherwise? When booking the stay, I was led to believe we'd get a small terrace / outside space too, but that wasn't the case. The pictures featured on Booking.com are also way more attractive than what we got- I wouldn't have paid this amount for such an eyesore (for example, lashy fuschia clashed with "antique" mirror frames just don't work when combined)!
- Sara (7/5): Elegant but no elevator near St Pancras. - Comfortable room near St Pancras. I liked the hotel bar. I mistakenly thought there was an elevator. Be prepared to drag your bags up to the fifth floor if that’s where your room happens to be. Not for anyone with mobility issues.
- David (10/5): Enjoyable and comfortable stay in the most convenient location. - Fantastic location for travel to/from Kings Cross and St Pancras. Our 1st floor room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast selection was excellent and the croissants the best ever. Staff friendly and helpful. The decor is a bit of a surprise being quite dark and almost intimate. You get to quite like it though.
- Sonessa (5/5): -
- Anne (9/5): See above but other than that a gem - Location, staff, vibe The dim lighting!!! No lights above the sink made putting on make up impossible.
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Ilaria (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): - There was a good selection of pastries, teas and everything I required for breakfast. The shower was amazing, was warm from the start and had a really good flow. The location was perfect for going to a gig at the Scala.
- Gabriella (10/5): Amazing team and incredible room - Friendly and charming environment. Clean and comfortable and surprisingly quite in the location N/a

- Claire (9/5): Aanrader. Kom graag terug. - Goed ligging, schoon, leuk ingericht, lekker bed en fijne douche. Vriendelijk personeel. Het is wat gehorig.
- Neil (10/5): Stay again - Beautiful clean hotel No problems
- Ali (10/5): -
- Gill (8/5): Comfortable but dark interiors and steep staircase - OK for catching eurostar - Breakfast OK but disappointing continental - no English options Access to the room was down a steep, narrow spiral staircase. My partner carried my small case up and down - I did not feel safe doing so and I'm not sure that he did either!!

- Matt cahill (8/5): -
- stuart (9/5): -
- Kholoud (5/5): -
- Elizabeth (1/5): - Clean and comfortable The extremely loud rave music outside our bedroom window from 4am!!
Staff apparently can not do anything about it even though they said it is a problem, but night sat are only small girls and can not deal with it.
Didn't even apologise or offer any compensation!
Just offered to move our room at 5.30am!
Very disappointed.
- Slick (10/5): - Our stay was fabulous. The staff is wonderful. So helpful, fun group.

- Laura (10/5): Great night's sleep - Close to station N/a
- Wanderer27851055852 (10/5): Top quality, friendly, great night's sleep - Perfect t location just a few minutes walk from St pancreas station. Friendly staff, very comfortable bed with top quality lining. We will stay here again next time we visit London.
- Amanda (9/5): Great location value for money boutique hotel - Excellent Could not fault it
- Tonya (7/5): Comfortable, cozy & quiet - Loved the interior & the coziness of the main reception & dining area
The little touches of complimentary drinks & snacks in dining area & your room was very welcomed.
The staff were all very friendly & helpful
The location was great, close to main train station but in a quiet area
The sister hotels cocktail bar was our favourite place, again cozy with very friendly staff. Only minor details like no hooks for bath towels or coats, no area with good lighting for doing makeup.
Bathroom blind could do with being thicker, lets to much light through!
- anncX7561GS (2/5): Noisy - Staying in the room with the courtyard , nice room but it’s the noisiest room I’ve ever stayed in a hotel ! Nearly 700 pound for three nights , and it’s sounds as if someone is ballroom dancing with Jack boots on , it’s gone midnight and still stomping about . If this room is directly under where staff are working then maybe it shouldn’t be used as a room for guests.

- FEDERICA (9/5): -

- Amanda (8/5): - N/A There are no lifts at this hotel and we had heavy luggage. However, there are staff to help with heavy cases.
- Joanna (9/5): Short break to London - fantastic hotel. - Very friendly staff. Great welcome. Lovely room. Quiet location very close to Kings Cross. Location, staff, clean.
- Dilan (8/5): - The room was lovely and the bathroom was the reason for the booking and it did not disappoint. The window to the room let to some kind of basement space accessible for the pavement with a door opposite it. It did not feel safe i know it was hotel staff but still, also absolutely no privacy, we couldn’t open the blinds cause of this reason and was really noisy in the morning that woke us up.

- Vincenzo (7/5): -
- Geert Wubben (9/5): Comfortable hotel near St. Pancras and Kings Cross - Nice small hotel near the train station (only a few minutes walk). We were able to leave our luggage after checking out, so we could visit the city before our train left without having to worry about it.
It is located on a small quiet park. The rooms were spacious and equipped with a comfortable shower.
The staff was very helpful during our stay. The temperature in the rooms was very high. Therefore we were required to leave the AC on during the night.
- Maruike (8/5): -
- Sue (9/5): -
- Carol (9/5): Lovely setting - Great situation Nothing
- Amelin (8/5): Excellent location. Cosy stay. - Cosy. The bathroom is very small. No way for you to bring a towel in even. But there is a cosy corner separate from the bedroom. Nice!
- Darcy (10/5): -
- Jo (10/5): Fabulous - Quirky, friendly and close to king cross station Nothing
- Sara (4/5): Rooms are beautiful, but very poor sound proofing and entrance being used as hang out and toilet. - Booking in staff were really helpful and upbeat, very lovely. Rooms are beautiful! Great freebees too. The corridor into the hotel smelt of urine and there were regularly persons using the steps into the hotel as a hanging out spot. The room was simply lovely, but the soundproofing is terrible and we heard everything from the outside, the room above and the corridor including adjoining rooms. The night staff was not the best and the heating had been turned up so high it felt like a sauna in the bar area. Very poor selection of items at the bar, just one red wine.
