Guest Reviews
- Julie (8/5): - Such a beautiful period property in much need of some work but in all honesty lots of work is being done . We loved the space and enjoyed our stay.
- Charles (4/5): Very misleading advertising - The stay was ok but defiantly not what we expected. The photos make the room look a lot nicer than what it is. The furniture is stained, there are marks on the wall, the paint is peeling off etc. The shower head was also broken and when we notified the property manager he said it would get fixed but it never did. Since the property is on the ground floor, it is next to the sewage pipes so whenever there is liquids running through them, it makes the property smell very bad. There was nothing luxurious about this apartment. The only good thing about it is the location.
- Andrea (8/5): - It was a nice appartment. Good location and close to shops.
- PurplePansies (2/5): - This basement property is far from luxurious. The shades are unworkable and need to be kept closed so you don’t have to be seen by the guests from the neighboring unit going up and down the stairs or by others loitering on the sidewalk above. Also, the garbage cans are outside the window, as is the building entry door which slams shut with each coming and going, which can be in the middle of the night. The entry door to the unit has no more sound proofing than card board so you hear everything in the unit next door. Especially annoying was the constant yelling and crying of the children in the unit next door when I stayed there. The “kitchen” is minimally equipped so don’t plan on eating much here. It’s so small that the toaster and kettle have to sit on top the microwave. Also, the only place to sit to eat is at a desk with one cheap chair so the unit isn’t suitable for a couple who expect to sit together. This unit should be de-listed from Travelocity not only for the poor quality of the unit but also for the almost unreachable host who rarely answered his phone or text messages. He gave no written instructions on how to use the digital locks. I had to ask him to write down the codes which were different for the outside door as well as the apartment access door. No other instructions were available for anything else, like garbage pick up days and recycling. Don’t waste your money on this rental.
- Beryl (8/5): London Apartment. - I loved staying in this small flat. It was in the basement and the steps down to it needed to be approached carefully. The flat itself was warm, clean and comfortable.the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom good. It was perfect for me as I was traveling alone. I find it difficult that there is no where to plug in a hairdryer or any appliance in the bathroom but this is quite common in England. The location of this apartment was great, 2 minutes from Kensington High Street and with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The air conditioning didn’t work and it was very hot for 4 people to stay in the single room. Once we opened the window it became very noisy. Also the bed and sofa bed was uncomfortable to sleep. We ended up leaving a day early.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location but very hard to carry bags all the way to fourth floor without an elevator. Would have been good if this was mentioned prior. Also the room is tiny!
- Patricia (4/5): Nice but in the basement - It was very difficult to get a hold of the owners. I had no idea I was put in the back of the basement. I feel like the place was misrepresented. My email was never answered
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property is on the 4th floor with NO Elevator! That was NOT disclosed in any information about the property. Of the four women in my party, three of us are over 64 years of age and these 4 flights of stairs were very challenging. One of the women had to find alternate lodging because she could not take the stairs! Also, the towel heater didn’t work but rattled non-stop! The refrigerator beeped constantly. We had to keep all the doors closed so we could sleep but then it would get cold because there were only 2 space heaters. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable this unit would be in the summer! Otherwise, good location, we got help carrying our bags upstairs, beds clean & comfortable.
- Pat (6/5): - No elevator and room was on 4th floor. No queen size bed. No towels. Had to wait for half an hour in the street for someone to show up and let me in.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like the location, all around. The apartment was beautiful but I don’t liked the bath. It was very narrow, was very hard to take a shower, the sink was short and the water wet the floor. That’s the only thing I don’t like.
