Air conditioner blows right on the bed and sounds like a bus going through the room. The Empire Suite has what they call a living room that’s 5’ wide, not enought room to do a pushup. The lighting in the bedroom is a joke. The only thing nice is the terrace.

- elisedP5981DE (2/5): Terrible welcoming news - I had the worst experience here last night. I arrived after a 6 hours flight to learn about a maintenance issue over the phone when I arrived at the reception. The manager was on the phone and let me know there was no room. The company I was supporting paid for the three nights. I had to walk under the rain, they did not even call a uber, I had a luggage and the walk was 20 minutes. They should have known there was maintenance and let me know before. My issue now is that I was moved to an hotel with small rooms, a Hyatt place with a different standard. They also had the audacity to tell me it was free breakfast when yes it is free at the Hyatt place for all guests. Please avoid at all cost

- jenniferhE5439YU (2/5): Disgusting - They called me at 9:15pm on my way to the hotel and cancelled my reservation due to a “burst pipe” that didn’t exist when i called the hotel 20 minutes later. They had sold out and apparently decided to ruin all legacy Hyatt relationships by changing me from Hyatt Centric to Hyatt Place with no notice. I’ll never stay Hyatt again due to the complete lack of customer service or attempts to make this wrong right.

- Melitta (9/5): Sehr freundliches Hotelpersonal. - Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Die Matratze war auf einer Seite des Bettes sehr durchgelegen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Aussicht in einen kleinen Hinterhof umgeben von anderen Hochhäusern. Das war nicht so schön. Beim Frühstück gab es kein Buffet. Man bekam die Speisekarte mit 8 Gerichten plus zwei Getränke. Nach drei Tagen mochte man nicht mehr das gleiche Essen essen.

Great to have safe and fridge in the room. Shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. It was my husbands birthday and the staff did put balloons in the room which was a nice touch. We had requested a City view room, and although we had somewhat of a view of the Empire State Building it was impeded by what looked like 3-4 water tanks. That was disappointing. There were bottles of water left in room but these would have been charged at $5 if taken. Would have been a nice touch if these were complimentary.

All of them were so nice & friendly (& helpful) you can tell they are happy there. The hotel itself was so incredibly clean & comfortable. Although the rooms are a little small, that’s what you get in NYC. We were there for a week & they cleaned daily & made sure we had everything we needed! It was quiet, beds were comfortable & we had a great view of the Empire State Building at night (I called 2 days ahead to request) we stayed on the 20th floor & it was amazing!

- Stephan (3/5): Das Hotel gebucht über Booking.com kann nicht empfohlen werden. - Sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr hohe Extrakosten beim Frühstück, obwohl bei Booking.com bereits bezahlt. Das inbegriffene Frühstück war sehr spärlich. Weitere hohe Zusatzkosten wie Resort Fee waren im Preis von Booking.com nicht inbegriffen. Zusatzleistungen vom Hotel wie Wasser auf dem Zimmer waren durch die Buchung bei Booking auch nicht enthalten.

I like that the room isn't carpeted (it feels cleaner), and I'd say the room is bigger than at other hotels in NY. The rooftop is also a plus. The shower water pressure wasn't working well when we turned on the hot water. I called the front desk twice to have it fixed, but it wasn't fixed during our stay.

- Arkile (9/5): Convenient for a solo traveler in MidTown - I liked that the property wasn’t too far from most attractions. It was kinda in Midtown Manhattan, so it’s super close to everything. The two things I didn’t like about the hotel was that in the bathroom there was a weird creaky noise coming from the ceiling. Now it could’ve just been the people above me, but it was a little weird. Additionally, on my day I was leaving. it’s like all the elevators broke at the same time except for one. It made getting down stairs with lounge a little difficult, but I made it through.

We were also very happy with the friendly and helpful staff. Wish there had been an armoire but maybe because we had two Queen beds there was no room.

Hallway noise at night can be a bit intrusive, I was woken twice by people coming out of lifts and talking in the corridor.
