Guest Reviews
- Erica (8/5): - Toiletries offered were nice, room was a small andnt
- Ryan (6/5): - Elevators were slow. Shower was kind of dirty. Lay out was fine but there was no bedside table, just a weird cubby above your head to charge your phone.
- Keith (8/5): - Lots of stores in the area.
- Weston (10/5): - Clean room and bathroom, nice to have water pet bottles and the amenities for self serve. Can improve on advice for travel to airport - conflicting input on airport limousine availability which can be solved with a simple notice next to the taxi notice … but always enjoy my stay for the convenience and standard of JR hotels
- Victor (10/5): - Super convenient, super clean, easy to check in/out, along with all the expected conveniences that you would expect from a hotel that's actually reasonably priced. What more can you ask for??
- Kwan Kei (8/5): - Everything are great. The mattress is too hard for someone with back problems, but if your back is okay that should not be a problem. The washing machines are almost always in use though.
- craig (10/5): - As an Otaku staying in Akihabara was genius. I asked them for a view of the Onoden building area and they gave me the best view. The convenience store being in the room was perfect too. We had a great time here
- Buyoung (10/5): - The hotel room was very clean though it is bit smaller than I expected, and would have appreciated more space. Hotel location is very convenient as it is very close to JR station, and there are tons of eating options in the area. Even though our hotel room was facing the street, the hotel room was very quiet and our room was very comfortable. Will come back and stay at this hotel again in the future. Highly recommend this hotel especially for any travellers who would like to fit in any late night gaming.
- Jimmy (10/5): - Excellent hotel! Close proximity to the JR line and Yododashi Akiba. Shops and restaurants galore within walking distance. If you are an anime or video game lover, this is the spot for you! Hotel room while small made excellent use of the space and I did not feel cramped at all considering I am 6‘5“ lol. The queen bed helped immensely which is rare in Japanese hotels. The check-in and checkout process was smooth, and the customer service was excellent. The included breakfast was also delicious and buffet style. I definitely plan on staying here again when I return in the future.
- Anita (10/5): - Located right by the Akihabara station with a lovely view of Akihabara! The room was comfortable and cozy, and the amenities were great!
- Earl (10/5): - Next to the station with a magnificent view of a busy street. Room was comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Five star hotel. Cannot recommend highly enough.
- Jenna (10/5): 5 Star location - Room had wonderful amenities and was tight but very comfortable. Restaurant on site was a huge bonus and Starbucks around the corner. Next door to train station making excursions a breeze. Highly recommended
- Bryan (10/5): - Nice, clean place right in the middle of Akihabara.
- James (10/5): - Spacious room and bathroom for Tokyo. Easy access to Electric Town, the train station, bakeries, and convenience stores. Hotel was at the train station but was surprisingly quit in the room.
- David (10/5): - Great hotel in excellent location. Very clean and super friendly. Breakfast is very average but there are so many other options around it’s not an issue.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Nice amenities. Offered chocolate and bottled water. Convenient location just steps from the station's south exit. JR brand is a good value, convenient and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely two n - Love the convenience of the hotel right at JR station. Great location for shopping and food. Good size room and big TV
- chun yu (10/5): - This is the second time we stayed here. Super convenient spot from the airport and also to pretty much everywhere. If you are an anime fan, this place is second to none. Walking down the street, you see tons of anime stuff. Busy but not too crowded.
- Justin (10/5): - Right next to JR Akihabara train station. Very convenient. In the heart of Akihabara
- Janice (10/5): - Small but clean, modern, quiet. Excellent bath and shower area. Many free amenities, including face masks and bath salts.
- TED (10/5): - Great location for Akihabara.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent timely communication when I reached out to them by email.
- Yvan (10/5): - This hotel is exceptional. If you’re planning to stay in the Akihabara district, I highly recommend this hotel. The location is ideal as it is literally above Akihabara station. Despite being so close to the tracks, it was extremely quiet. Everything you need is merely a few meters away - convenience stores, ATM, rail, subway, Starbucks, etc. And if you’re into anime/manga, well this is the Mecca !!
The room was spacious (for Japan standards), incredibly clean, beds comfortable, shower incredible, and the free coffee at reception is an added bonus. Would definitely stay there again. Great value !
- Eduardo (10/5): - Location…location…location..
- Jonathan (10/5): - I have stayed in Tokyo well over 10 times. This has hands down been the best hotel. The rooms are spacious (for Japan), the bathroom layout and design is perfection, the bed is comfortable, and the location is as good as it gets. The entrance to the JR trains and literally on the ground level, in fact some rooms give you a view of the passing trains (don't worry, you cannot hear them!). Check-in was modern with a high tech kiosk (I was geeking out how cool it was). This is a pri.e location as a major hub, but also the dining and nightlife were spectacular. This hotel is very new and still feels it. Honestly, I would pay more to atay here and will only be staying here from now on! Also- breakfast buffet and Jonathan's was super tasty and good quality food; a mix of western and Japanese. Enjoy your stay!! I know I did ❤️
- Serap (10/5): - Staff was really kind and helpful. The lady even helped me with my suitcase, while trying to catch the cab. Hotel is clean and cozzy
- James (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. It was right at the station. They had lots of amenities available including bath salts and face masks.
- Joseph (10/5): - Super close to the station, nice rooms, great rates. Staff was very nice.
The beds were hard for western standards and the pillows small, but I know that's Japanese style.
The elevator always stops on floor 2 going up or down which can get a little annoying.
- Swee Khim (8/5): - The hotel provides all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Perhaps the hotel can extend some special privilege for regular guests? If so I will definitely come back again.
- michael (8/5): - Right next to all the nerd action and station for easy movement.
- Daniel (8/5): - This property boasts an exceptionally convenient location, situated just steps from Akihabara Station. Check-in and check-out were handled efficiently, with no issues encountered. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff demonstrated consistent kindness and attentiveness throughout my stay.
The breakfast buffet presents a respectable balance of Western and Japanese options, catering to a range of preferences. However, I repeatedly noticed that some utensils were not thoroughly cleaned, often bearing visible residue. Additionally, the breakfast staff, while diligent, appeared overextended, resulting in service that occasionally felt hurried and less personable.
- Mitch (10/5): - Great stay- kind stay and great amenities. Perfect location- in the middle of everything but somehow still very quiet in the rooms! Would definitely stay again. ありがとうございます!
- kalliopi (10/5): - .
- Kris (10/5): - Great location, very clean, good amenities, friendly staff. Recommended.
- tracy (10/5): - Nice clean quiet safe location. Right near train station.
- Phil (10/5): In the heart of Akihabara, excellent. - Literally connected to the train station. Ultra convenient to all of Akihabara shopping. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It's a great hotel!
- Chia-Chang (10/5): - Much better than expected.
- Jacqui (10/5): - Easy access to station right in the heart of Akihabara great places to eat nearby
Jonathans for breakfast was amazing
- Victor (8/5): - 2nd time staying in this hotel just in 2025 already. Easy and convenient to get to everywhere
- Long (8/5): - Room is a little small but in excellent condition. Free can bottle water every day👍.
- Patrick (10/5): - I always stay at this hotel whenever I go to Tokyo. It’s convenient and very close to the train station, lots of nearby restaurants and shopping areas. Staff are very helpful too. Breakfast buffet is by far the best.
- Henry (10/5): - Helpful and friendly staff..
- Tom (10/5): - The hotel is directly outside the Akihabara train station (although there is no noise from the trains).
Instantly walkable to the heart of the Electric City, with loads of fun shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel is very clean with first class amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- Yvonne (10/5): - Everything was great! Staff super friendly , hotel incredible! And location ideal! Just book it!
- Andrew (10/5): No notes - Out of the four places we stayed in Japan this was the best. Right in the heart of Akihabara. The beds were comfortable.
- Joshua (6/5): - i was pretty disappointed the additional charges they present on the day of check in, which is something we didn't expect. i wouldn't suggest any of my friends and family to go to this hotel.
- Matthew (10/5): - Self check in was easy. There was someone there to help if needed. Room was neat clean and well thought out. Easy check out.
- Banks (10/5): - Nice hotel for a great price. Close to food, shopping, and train. Fun part of Tokyo to spend a couple of days.
- Jeremy (8/5): - If you are looking for a nice hotel in the heart of Akihabara then this hotel is perfect. It sits right in top of a major train station and is next to Akihabara's Electric town.
- Hong Soon (10/5): - Booked during sakura season which is relatively more expensive. Though the room is small but very functional with separate toilet and bath area with a sink outside. Abit cramp for two luggage to lay out flat but still a enjoyable stay. Its relatively quiet hotel as the shop around closes pretty early and the hotel occupant is not alot compared to other chain hotels in JP which is nice if you prefer quiet environment
- Brenna (8/5): - Right outside of Akihabara station. Cannot get closer. Friendly staff, clean, slippers, PJs. Only downside was I did not check the room size and thankfully this was the start of our trip and our large suitcases did not need to be opened. Had to be creative with our other bags. Would definitely stay here again.
- Malet R (10/5): - Steps away from the JR Akihabara train station.
- Derek (10/5): - The best property I stayed in while in Japan, will definitely look out for them if I return.
- Jae (10/5): - Property is very conveniently located next to the main station. Also near major shopping and dining area.
- Helene (10/5): - When we went to book a taxi the night before for the airport. We were told there was no openings. I am older and started to have a panic attack. They did notvtell me other taxi companies. They said they only deal with one. Thank God my son got an uber. They did not even know if they had uber. Not a way to help your guest's get home.
- Dive (10/5): - The hotel was clean, quiet and in the most convenient location I have stayed at in Tokyo. I would stay here again!
- Johnny (10/5): - Convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Great location right next to the station, spacious reception with helpful staff. Good sized twin room, and breakfast either in the attached restaurant (buffet) or from Starbucks downstairs.
- Cecile Caroline (10/5): - Great location, decent size room and very comfortable bed
- Matt (10/5): - This is an excellently located property at a very fair price. They have 3 washer/dryer all-in-one machines located on the 3rd floor of the hotel (you need a hotel key to access this floor), and the location is STELLAR. You are literally in the heart of the Electric Town and less than a minute walk away from Akihabara Station which has trains that will take you all over Tokyo. My brother and I just stayed there 10 days recently and it was a delight. The check-in process was smooth and the service was excellent.
- Ryan (10/5): - Amazing
- Mahisha (10/5): - Fantastic hotel ! Would stay here again, perfect location if it’s your first time in Tokyo
- Jeriel Jan (10/5): - This hotel is great for its convenience and completeness in hotel facilities and setup, at least for solo travelers.
- karim (10/5): - Great!
- ANNIE (8/5): Convenient location - Location is convenient as train station is just right next to the hotel. Friendly staffs. Hotel is clean but the smaller room is quite small for couple. Unable to leave the luggage open as space is limited. Good thing is luggage can store below the bed. Free coffee available at the main lobby. Overall the stay is satisfied. Will need to book a bigger room for future stay.
- Kathryn (10/5): - This is my favorite hotel, it’s great
- Ether (10/5): - Perfect spot for those that want to spend most of their time around Akihabara but also want to potentially go to other famous spots in Tokyo
- Erik (10/5): - The hotel had a fast check in process and really nice rooms. Located right around the corner from Akihabra Station its a nice and easy walk. Very convenient and quiet even with it being attached to the station would stay again.
- Alex (10/5): - Fantastic staff working in the lobby, they are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean. You can't beat this locations for Akihabara
- Emma (10/5): - Quite small rooms, as expected in Tokyo but comfortable clean and a very convenient place to stay.
- chun yu (10/5): - It is right on top of a station for multiple lines. Super easy to go to most of the major attractions and NRT. Also, there are a lot of restaurants and shops around. If one likes anime, this is one of the best options to stay.
- Kathryn (10/5): - This is our favorite hotel! It’s super convenient and comfortable and clean
- Andrew (10/5): - Convenient location for accessing the JR lines. Not noticeable street noise. Comfortable rooms with good amenities. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would stay again next time we’re in Akiba.
- nathan (10/5): - Great area, stayed for 7days whilst in tokyo very convenient with small shop down stairs in hotel with train and railway within a few mins distance. Right in the radio distict.
- Fabian (10/5): - The service and ease of access to akihabara
- Nur Atikah (8/5): - Convenient and accessible to many areas being only a few stations away from tokyo and ueno. easy to get snacks with many convenient stores just downstairs or a short walk away.
- Victor (8/5): - It is directly connected to the station. Good option
- YAN TING (10/5): - Very convenient location, just beside Akihabara JR station. Good breakfast spread. If you not keen to wake up early for breakfast, you have the option to utilise the breakfast coupon (certain amount worth) at Starbucks instead. Supply dyson hair dryer and dyson purifier. Good range of amenity and self pick up facial mask/skin care/bathsalt etc at the lobby. Definitely worth the money to stay here.
- Christopher (10/5): - Very helpful when i needed guidance on where to go and how to do something! Ammenities are very nice as well as having a convenient store right under.
Rooms are really clean, however the only downside is that the place is a tad bit pricey. But if you have the money, id suggest staying here!
- Brian John (10/5): - Great property
- Landon (10/5): - This property is sitting on top of a conbini with an English self checkout and a few steps from the Akihabara train station. Recommend if your a first timer and interested in really digging into Akihabara.
- Diana (10/5): - A step away from Electric Town Gate South Exit of Akihabara Station. So close to a lot of places and eating establishments. Overall, really great experience.
- Henrison (10/5): - Right at the exit of Akihabara station, this hotel was so conveniently located. It was close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. It's a simple hotel, but would definitely come here again to stay.
- David (8/5): - Good location right next to train station.
- Arisrakorn (10/5): - We chose METS Akihabara everytime when we go to Japan. The room is small but packed with smart organized space and functions to fit in my large luggages and shopping bags. As you step out of the hotel you'll meet the JR station rightaway. Free amenities and helpful staffs is my favourite part. We really like this place and always want to come back again.
- Christopher (8/5): - The separated days of full room cleaning was tedious to follow
- Alejandra (8/5): It was a nice visit - I recently went to Japan with my husband and this was our 2nd stay at this hotel. I want to note the things I enjoyed and the things I did not. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay but I do hope to see improvement if I do visit again.
Enjoyed:
1) Next to the train
2) Laundry in hotel (although the machines need work since we kept adding time for the dryer just for our clothes to still be wet at the end)
3) Next to a family restaurant and convenience store
4) Amenities at the front desk was convenient (e.g. tooth brush, qtips, etc)
Some Issues:
1) The cleanliness could have a bit of work. I usually check for bed bugs and when I checked this time around there were a lot of crumbs on the mattress and the bed sheet itself was a bit dirty.
2) Comfort - The bed was a bit stiff and the choice of pillows was bad. For some reason we were given one firm pillow and one floppy cheap one. So one of us had to choose who got the firm one and who got the cheap one.
- Jenna (10/5): - Cleaner property, rooms were a good size for Japan and great free amenities. Next door to station and I'm great area
- ian (10/5): - Right on top of Akihabara station, check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff was prompt and responsive, i plan to stay again.
- Henry P (10/5): - Staff are all nice and it’s very clean
- Shaun (10/5): - Great location, rooms are small but to be expected, great use of space and so convenient to the JR
- Patrick (10/5): - It is so convenient to stay at this hotel. It’s a few steps away from the train station. Everything is near. I would stay at this hotel again.
- Jeremy (10/5): - This is the second time we've stayed here, we love it.
- Zachery (10/5): - Perfect location and clean rooms
- Yehezkel (10/5): - the room is too small
the service is excellent
the breakfast is medium minis (M-)
overall was good
- Florencio (8/5): - Conveniently located next to the train station. The room is spacious for Tokyo reality. The breakfast was pretty good and in the same building in a restaurant. Housekeeping was good as well.
- B (8/5): - The bathroom had a weird smell and they only change the sheets and clean every 3 day but the location is really good.
- Jessica (8/5): - Great location, steps away from Akihabara station and denki-gai. There is an adjoining family restaurant and convenience store, both of which we made good use of during our stay. Our room was small, though this is to be expected for Tokyo. We appreciated the selection of bath salts on offer and the coffee machine. Only gripe we had was that the walls are thin - we could hear our neighbour's alarm in the morning and knew exactly when they were using the bathroom!
- lindsey (10/5): - The room is small, but well designed to have everything you need. Plus more amenities in the lobby like bath salts and face masks. Such a nice touch to make you feel like you’re on vacation. The proximity to the train station was unbeatable, made it so easy to get anywhere in the city.
- Glenn (10/5): - Very good property!
- David Stuart (10/5): - Smack dab in the heart of Akihabara’s Electric City, this is the hotel to stay at for visitors wanting to experience the excitement and energy of the Otaku center of the universe!
The minute you walk out the doors of the hotel, you are instantly in the bright hustle and bustle and energy of the neighborhood!
The Akihabara train/subway station is right there and you can use it to get you quickly and cheaply to just about any other attractions in Tokyo and beyond!
Plenty of great places to eat just about anywhere you turn!
The hotel staff were EXCELLENT, and will do their best to help with just about anything!
They helped us book a taxi from the hotel to Narita airport that was able to get us and our several suitcases to the airport quickly safely and quite affordably.
I think this is the perfect hotel for folks wanting to experience Akihabara in particular and Tokyo in general. I don’t think it might be suitable for much more than a family of 3 or 4, but for single, duo, or three travelers, it seems ideal.
I would book again if we return!
