• Jogchum (4/5): - Rooms are highly efficient, with a nice seat and integrated desk, HOWEVER this was not present. Resulted in an empty room with a bed. Did manage to change room. Room shouldn't been offered, as it lacked a basic chair and table for a >$300/night room. It's normally already an "efficiently organised" room, but without the desk and chair its basically an empty small room with a bed. There is no room service, and the bar or access to restaurant was closed for a private event. No possibilities for a drink or even water. This makes the hotel offering at a one star, as no facilities are available where they are offered at point of sale. Responds was poor as well: come back next time, but be aware we are often booked for private events, i.e no facilities to a bar or even any drink service.

• Caroline (8/5): Great place over all. - The location was great for us, the staff very nice. The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable with good sheets. I liked all the hooks on the walls so we could hang our stuff versus setting it on the floor or cluttering surfaces. Despite all the hooks on the walls in the bedroom, there was not a single hook to hang a towel or bathrobe from near the shower or sink! The shower door had a towel holder, but if you open the door to get in the shower, the water soaked the towel. The floor was a bit gritty and had not been well vacuumed. The toilet was very low to the ground and the toilet paper holder bumped into my husband's knees while sitting on it (he's only 6 feet tall).

• Sandra (9/5): - Top Lage, im wunderschönen East Village, alle Hot Spots in Manhattan einfach zu erreichen mit der Subway oder zu Fuß. Zimmer sehr komfortabel, sauber, hell und wenn man nett fragt und Glück hat, bekommt man eins der ruhigeren Zimmer in den oberen Etagen. Kaffee gibt es kostenlos. Pro Tag hat man zudem 20 USD Gutschein für Frühstück oder Bar. Ich liebe die Moxy Hotels und war happy, dass es davon auch in NYC mehrere gibt. Werde dieses bei meiner nächsten Reise wieder buchen. Kühlschrank im Zimmer wär noch top, aber ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln

The Village is a fantastic location, quirky but chill and without the typical touristy feel of Broadway, Times Square, or the midtown shopping areas. The access to the rooftop wasn’t well marked and the hours of the Cantina restaurant were odd.

• nicholascE8217NS (10/5): Moxy East Village Review - The Moxy East Village location is a hidden gem amongst a bustling yet quiet area! I stumbled upon here to grab bar cocktails with a friend, and socialized in the utmost coziest lobby. Bri especially provided great customer service to us by informing us about the many benefits and different amenities of staying at the Moxy, and even went as far as helping us set up an array of board games to keep us entertained in such a neat environment! Her attitude was nothing but infectiously radiant, and I plan on booking with the Moxy in the near future!
• JHinSF (10/5): Great Location and Fun Vibe - Perfectly situated in the East Village, this is a dream come true. We come to the NYC annually and always look for a place to stay closer to the neighborhoods we like to hang out in at night, after gallery and museum hopping all day. We've tried home-share situations and smaller bed-and-breakfasts, but never hit on just the right vibe and location until discovering Moxy. Rooms are quiet and functional and cute. The cafe is convenient and makes a great cappuccino. The front desk people are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are reasonably priced, considering its location.

I loved the vibes of the hotel and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The one down side is there was no fridge in the room. I usually like to keep a few snacks and drinks in the room but that wasn’t possible. I didn’t ask if a fridge could be brought up though, that may have been an option.

Staff was so great, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my stay seamless and easy. The bar/lounge was such a vibe, with great music, art food and drinks. Perfect location for exploring downtown, with great food, nightlife, and culture right outside the door. Would absolutely stay here again. 10 out of 10. I'll be back!

The hotel offers a beautiful atmosphere, a vibrant lounge, and an excellent location that made my visit even more enjoyable. My room was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The bed in particular provided a great night’s rest. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that both my guests and I had everything we needed throughout our stay. I would like to especially recognize Siarra, Brianya, and Oshyn for their exceptional service. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and welcoming attitude truly made a lasting impression. I had a seamless experience with no issues at all, and I would gladly return in the future. Thanks to the outstanding hospitality provided by the team.

The room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better for getting around easily. What really stood out was the staff, specifically Siarra, Brianya, and Oshyn. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. I would definitely come back again!

The breakfast cafe is a great place to pause at the start of the day and the bar is a great way to end it. It is perfectly located to everything. We will be staying there again and again.

Cool, relaxed vibe during the day and but felt lively and fun at night. It was perfect for us as a young couple out and about every day and night. We had a great sleep too. I’ve seen other reviews mention the size of the rooms but I’ve seen smaller in other cities so was pleasantly surprised! Lots of hooks to hang clothes and storage under/around the bed. Price of wine and beer at the bar was astronomical but there are plenty of reasonably priced bars nearby (reasonable for NYC that is!). The lobby can get quite congested at times but honestly I really can’t complain about much.

• mickimicki (10/5): Convenient & walkable hotel in the hear of East Village - Quick one night stay here. Check in was easy and they had my room as requested (away from elevator/quiet). Rooms are quite small, but for 1 person in NYC, perfectly adequate. Good bed and bedding, good soundproofing for the windows, I faced the street, didn't have any issues with street noise over night. Like that there are multiple food/drink options in the property, makes it easy to grab a bite or drink. Also liked that they had a handy little clothing steamer in the room! My only complaint would be that the housekeeping can be a bit loud as they start the morning room cleaning, my neighbor checked out early and by 10 am I was fully awake with the cleaning staff next door and in the hallway.

• sherylr420 (10/5): My go-to hotel in New York City - I have been staying at the Moxy East Village 3 or 4 times a year since 2023 when my child started at NYU. The staff is always amazing, the rooms are always clean and the hotel always lively. It is in a great location, central to all the things you want to do in NYC.
• SunnyDays (4/5): Go elsewhere - Dissapoining experience. The place is a sh…show. Broken rooms, tiny spaces and poor housekeeping if you are lucky to get it. The bakery downstairs is really good but they are a scam. They put a 15 percent room charge on your bill even though you are right in front of them picking it up. Then they say they can’t remove it and the hotel won’t either. Total scam. The hotel has nice public spaces to hang in but drinks are overpriced and have minimal booze in them. Better choices exist.
• Leda (8/5): Muy buen hotel , cómodo, con personal muy profesional, y en una ubicación excelente. - El desayuno fue muy bueno y, si bien no lo tenía incluido, lo bonificaron en virtud de un cambio de habitación. La cama, la ropa de cama, las toallas todo impecable, Si bien no tiene armario , me gustó como resuelven el tema del colgado de la ropa y de los lugares de guardado. También esta buena la inclusión de la plancha a vapor ( no lo había visto nunca en ningún hotel) . La habitación, si bien pequeña, tiene lo necesario para estar a gusto. Detalle adicional: la buena disposición del personal del front desk que nos agregaron una noche sin inconvenientes y colaboraron en la recepcion de un paquete que nos llegó a destiempo. Es un hotel de un valor elevado con respecto a otros de otros barrios pero es cierto que , en East Village, hay muy pocos hoteles de buena calidad. Creo que por el valor la habitación podría tener algunos detalles mejores de amenities y de una cafetera en la habitación ( a la tarde no hay un lugar donde tomar un café en el hotel) .

Relativt upersonlig med felles inngang hotell, restauranter, barer osv, men fungerte greit. Hyggelig personale. Rent og generelt greit renhold. Mye støy. Noe harde senger. Trangt, men ok plassutnyttelse. At man må betale for vann på rommet er ikke bra - spesielt ikke mtp kostnad for rom.

• kedras2026 (10/5): East Village fun - Moxy NYC East Village is a wonderful hotel. My niece and I needed to pivot when our trip was canceled and ended up here last minute. Thrilled we chose it! The location is perfect- walk to all the awesome bars and restaurants easily. Such a quintessential New York experience for her first trip. The rooms are small and fun. All you need when spending the day and night enjoying the city. Both of us had very quiet rooms - little street noise and nothing from the rooms nearby. What really makes it stand out though is the front desk. Nicole and Brianya are everything a Moxy employee should be. Always a big smile, fun interaction and great ideas for the area. They made our stay extra special. Also a shout out to Juan in Cathedral - excellent cocktails and so much fun to chat with. Will definitely return.
• Toby (7/5): Excellent would recommend - Great location, heart of east village loads of restaurants and cafes around. Great to get to central Manhattan + over the Brooklyn Rooftop bar or downstairs bar super loud until midnight (we couldn’t work out which)! Now we’re not previous we live in central London with sirens going off 24/7, but on floor 6 of the moxy; we could hear deep, loud thumping until midnight each night.

• nazira331 (10/5): Amazing check-in experience - Amazing check-in experience with Diara! Checked me in, held my bag until my room was ready. Then I headed to the cafe in the lobby, had the best latte and croissant and charged up my phone while reading a magazine. As I was walking out to head to the MoMa, Diara let me know that she can get me into my room. Huge props to the customer service and recognizing I was on a red eye. I'll be dinning at the rooftop tonight. #Bonvoy4Life

• Sean (9/5): The Moxy is a dynamic and comfortable place in the heart of NYC - Despite a poor name for a hotel, and unbeknownst to me that Moxy Hotels are part of the Marriott global behemoth, this place is so centrally located that I will be happy to return. If you need a great dynamic place for a drink downstairs or a quiet room upstairs, this is the place for a stay in one of the hearts of town. Astor Place is minutes away as are everything else you might require: pharmacy, dumplings, subway, Webster Hall...The staff are nice and helpful; the breakfast supplement at the tiny café downstairs is more than enough for people on the go, and the rooms, while small and efficient, are comfortable and quiet. Well worth paying a little extra to escape from the areas around Times Square.
