It is right above a mosque, so there can be some noise from the loudspeaker and a lot of men milling about, but it actually wasn’t a problem Some noise from the mosque in the afternoon and evening but surprisingly not in the morning (we were a little worrried about that but it worked out fine).

However Was difficulte to get in as we had not reseved email or text from owner with codes to get into the building before we arrived. Took a while. Location is in city center....close to resterants, metro,trains and busses. Lots to see and do. If you are under 50 and like quirky this place could be for you however there are over 30 stairs you have to carry your bags up and down. My husband and I are over 70 and it was a realwork out.... get in and out at the end of our visit with our bags.

• Kimberly (4/5): - This place is advertised like a hotel, but it’s an Airbnb. No staff, front desk or services. The listing is deceptive and you have to text with the owner to gain access. The building is very run down and you have to pay to use the elevator during the day. The building is very run down and the neighborhood seems very unsafe and there are a lot of people hanging around. The upside is that the military police seems to hang out in their car near the entrance because you're very close to the train station. The room was basic but clean but our shower didn't work and the owner didn't come to fix it as promised.

• Stephanie (10/5): - The location being right at the central station is SO convenient. There are also many restaurants very close by. The owner of the property is very nice. The place was clean, and quiet despite the location. Just make sure you complete the whole check in procedure BEFORE arriving - otherwise finding the b&b and getting the keys will be very confusing (learn from our mistake!). In terms of cons, the b&b might not be the most accessible for wheelchair users, since there are some unavoidable steps and the elevator is very small. Also, some of the areas surrounding the piazza are less safe at night, though I felt perfectly safe if I just stayed in the actual central station/Piazza area. Basically, just use common sense.

He also made possible to check out 1 hour later. He is very friendly host, everything perfect, great location for trips, restaurants. Very comfortable beds!

Microwave and hot water pot in shared area. Because this is an unattended property, it was very difficult to get into our room the first day we arrived. We had to use a code to get in the main door, and then another code to enter where the rooms are and then a third code for a lockbox to get the keys to our room. We had to communicate with the management for two of the steps. We did eventually get in, but after a long journey carrying your luggage, it was very stressful. The digital code for the front door never worked, we always used the keys once we got in the first time. Also, the elevator requires small coins to operate on weekdays. The posted sign says it is free on weekends and after 7 PM. We didn’t have small change when we arrived so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Although the apartment felt very safe, it’s located in a very busy area on the plaza in front of the train station and there was a lot of noise and uncomfortable street activity going on. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around at night.

• Crystal (10/5): Comfortable room with convenient location - Even though my flight was heavily delayed and I didn't get to the city until 1-2am, our host Gaetano was very accommodating and understanding with helping us get inside the building. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and we rested very well. The location of the room was right on the doorsteps to Napoli Centrale and Garibaldi station, it was extremely convenient to get around the city. Just downstairs, there are a few amazing cafes to get a quick breakfast. The room was cleaned to a high standard every day. I'd say I landed jackpot with this room on my first time to Naples, and will definitely stay here again if opportunity arises! The front entry door is not open during night time, and the only way to get in is with a key or contacting the host, though it's a very minor thing in the grand scheme.

The cleanliness of the room should be better, but it was not dirty, just some hairs (2 or 3) in the bathroom and limescale in the shower.

The beds were comfortable and the location near the train station was rather convenient. The price was acceptable. Check-In had to be done via a third-party website which was also used to open the front door. If you dont have What'sApp and mobile data, this may be problematic. The fuse box was inside our room and was emanating a low frequency humming which was audible at night and may be bothersome to guests. Guests should also take care to find the right accommodation as there are multiple accommodations called 'Garibaldi' inside the same building which led to some confusion.

Long way to walk and many stairs and elevator is very old and costs. *Felt like an Airbnb without person to talk to. No reception or check-in, it's self check-in. Many keys to enter. Complicated. First it could be a bit hard since there are many doors to walk pass. We managed since one of us was already living there and could let us in. Hosts wants to communicate via Whatsapp but could've done better job communicating by calling and not bothering guests by writing so much and they were very confused which hotel structure we booked at first. Not a professional encountering that host doesn't check their confirmation emails and have to ask guest via Whatsapp. Would get better rating if better communication or a normal check-in was provided. *Our room was situated the first when entering the corridor consisting of circa five rooms, not a big property. We could hear everything loud and clear because the doorlock was very heavy and loud, people were confused if it got closed so they smashed the door at 5am. Our room was also just outside the small common kitchen so we heard when people boiled the kettle. Not soundproof, we could hear the neighbours showering, pulling out chairs when they were packing at 5am. Also the airplanes are really loud since airport is too close to the city. Wouldn't recommend booking this room and wouldn't recommend this property to elderly people. But our friends room was nice, not close to door or kitchen! *Sink is outside the small bathroom, it's in the bedroom but bedroom is spacious *Area is very unsafe. That's why the heavy lock and thousand keys were provided. A completely burnt down apartment with its smoke smell is nearby and we could see it upfront when the elevator accidentally stopped there, murder scene vibes.

The hosts Marco & Maria, were extremely helpful and accommodating. I cannot thank them enough. The room was compact, but very fresh and modern, very well thought out. The whole set up was great and very clean & fresh. Nothing, I really could not fault the place. Naples as a town is not the nicest place to visit, it really is pretty dirty, grubby and neglected, but it does have some great churches & museums. But the accommodation was a sparkling jewel in amongst all the dirt & graffiti.

The staff had to meet us to give us the key but would not agree to a suitable time so we were left waiting for two hours with our cases. They promised that the room had a hairdryer - it did not. When we asked for it, they did not answer. They promised that there was a kitchen - it was literally just a sink and a cupboard. The hot water did not work in the shower one of the nights. The location is convenient for the train station but beware it is not a great neighbourhood and there are a lot of steps to get up to the room from street level - or you can pay to use the elevator.
• Kevin (9/5): A great base to explore Naples - Situated 100 yards from Garibaldi station, Metro and bus station it was easy to find. Great restaurants within yards. The room was secure having to go through an outer door with the biggest cross door bolts. The outer area which is shared houses the Microwave and small kitchen area. The room itself was spotless and cleaned everyday. We had a couple of problems, door electronic card didn't work and the power tripped, however these were rectified quickly by Giuseppe our host from the managing agent who was fantastic and sent us regular text to make sure we were OK and couldn't do enough for us. If you are looking for a central base to stay near the station and metro easy to get to from the airport via Alibus, (You can book this online before your visit or pay on the bus) walking distance to the sea and the main shopping areas this is ideal. The piazza Garibaldi where the rooms are located have a good side and a poorer side. The rooms are on the good side!!! We would stay here again. Thanks Giuseppe for all your help. Could have done with a kettle in the room. and another plug socket

• gianluca (6/5): esperienza non ripetibile - camera pulita, molto piccola con bagno più confortevole; zona ben servita da mezzi pubblici. apprezzata la presenza di mini frigo e aria condizionata. sconsiglio di includere la colazione che credevo (illuso che sono) fosse servita in struttura, invece è presso bar e include solo cornetto (altrimenti per altre paste si paga sovrapprezzo) e caffé o cappuccino, niente succo !!!??? sinceramente trattamento pessimo. non tornerò né consiglierei.
• Patricia (8/5): Hôtel Garibaldi - Très bon emplacement à côté de la gare de Naples Garibaldi. Logement calme bien que situé en hyper centre. Accueil sympathique de la personne de confiance car il s'agit d'un appartement privé sans réception. Seul bémol, l'absence de petit déjeuner sur place. Il faut aller dans un café sur la place, avec uniquement café et croissants, pas de thé ! Petit déjeuner compris dans la réservation. Logement situé au troisième étage, ascenseur payant en semaine et en journée pour la somme de 10 c par voyage.
• Rodrigo Varella (10/5): Excelente estadia - A estadia foi excelente. O Marco e o Gianluca entraram em contato conosco 1 dia antes para saber a hora estimada para chegar ao local e combinarmos o encontro. O atendimento foi excelente, passando diversas dicas de locais para conhecermos e comer, além de passar o preço do transporte público. O quarto era bem espaçoso, com freezer, uma cama Queen bem confortável e banheiro muito bom. Tudo estava limpo e organizado.
• Robert (10/5): Good choice for experienced travelers on a budget - The room was spacious, very modern and clean. This is not a conventional hotel with a lobby and staff on site all day. It's a little difficult to find but the staff contacted me on WhatsApp and provided instructions. The entrance to the Metro is right across the street, and the breakfast provided is a pastry and coffee at a very nice cafe on the lower level of the Metro entrance. The only thing I would suggest is a sign on the (very securely locked) exit door explaining how to open the latch without a key. I thought I was locked in until another guest showed me how to open it.
• Nancy (6/5): - Not what I expected. The room was just as in the photos, clean and quiet. However there was no coffee maker in the room, no down blanket as mentioned in the Travelocity description. The room has a small refrigerator. There is a 10 Euro extra fee if you check in after 8pm. This fee was not listed on Travelocity when I booked the hotel. I also paid 2.5 Euros extra tax on arrival. The guest house is hard to find, there is no sign on the road. Once inside you have to find the stairway B which is not visible from the entrance and go up to the 3rd floor. The hotel staff helped me to find the place, sending photos, maps, etc.
• Patrick (10/5): - Super séjour! L’hôtel est très bien situé dans la ville, très propre et tranquille pour la nuit. Le seul petit hic: le petit-dej. Il est dans un café à l’extérieur de l’hôtel (2 minutes de marche) et on donne un coupon au serveur. Par contre le serveur ne semble pas « aimé » être payé par le coupon et était assez bête… Bref à revenir à Naples on reprendrait sûrement cet établissement, mais sans le petit-dej!
• LUDIVINE (10/5): Très bon séjour - très belle chambres et coffre. Micro ondes et thé dans le couloir. Tres bien placé prés de la gare et de la vieille ville. Excellent accueil, plan à dispo avec plein de conseils, resto.... personnel très soucieux de notre bien-être.
• Karla (6/5): - 5 minute walk from train station. There are a lot of little restaurants to eat and pharmacies around to get the Covid Test. On the Expedia site its says check in starts at noon. The night before my arrival, after I had already purchased my train ticket I was sent a message saying that the checkin was going to be at 3 or 4. There is no reception The room is big enough. A/C. Has all the necessary toiletries. There is an elevator but only from 1st floor to 3rd floor and it costs .50. The room is in the 4th floor so you go up the stair from 0-1 and from 3-4 because there is no elevator. To get in the apartment that’s has 4 rooms, they have a lock that it took me 3 days to figure it out how to open it. The first 3 days I had to try to open it for like 5-10 minutes. There were other people who had the same problems, at one point we were taking turns to see who would open it. To get in to the room is an electronic card MUCH EASIER. The second day, they didn’t clean the room only changed the towels and made the bed. The last day, the cleaning lady didn’t show up. I sent a message to the owner and I was told that because there was a strike the lady didn’t go. I only asked for clean towels and he said that the lady would be there the next day (the day that I was checking out ) and “sorry for the inconvenience “. Breakfast is in the plaza but only a coffee and a piece of bread. The great thing about this hotel is the location. Most of the tours depart from Garibaldi.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Correcto - Buena ubicación para moverse en tren. Desayuno en un bar a 2 min andando consistente en un zumo/café y una pieza de bollería. Correcto en general.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Wirklich geräumiges sauberes Zimmer, bequemes Bett, schönes Bad und das alles sehr zentral gelegen. Freundliche kurze Einführung bei der Ankunft und dann täglich verlässlicher Zimmer-Service. Das Frühstück im Café nebenan ist wirklich sehr minimalistisch, nur Kaffee und Croissant. Könnte man sich auch selbst besorgen :)

• Verified traveler (8/5): God placering til fornuftig pris. - Rigtig fin overnatningssted med gode transportmuligheder. God kommunikation med værterne over whatsapp, check-in foregik som planlagt, samt gode informationer over must-go spisesteder og attraktioner. Eneste minus er, at man skal betale for brug af elevator frem til kl. 19. Men samlet set, vil jeg helt sikkert anbefale Garibaldi 136 til andre.

• leonard (10/5): I would recommend this place. - Excellent stay, stayed in touch with whatsapp and met me out front. We very helpful and helped me out with options to get to the BnB. The BnB was in a excellent location near the train station with a short walk into old town. Room was very clean with no complaints. The room had Air conditioning, a small safe, mini fridge and lots of lights. Gianluca Helped me with taxi for my early flight. 😊 I would definitely recommend this place.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Stayed in July - Rooms was very nice, new and clean. Place is very good too, near station. People said that is dangerous to stay near this station, but we didnt have any problems with it. Havent seen homeless people around. Thanks to Marco who answered all questions 🙂
