- Valérie (9/5): - L'accueil et les services proposés
Les bons conseils de Sietske L'emplacement est un peu loin du centre : 20 mn à pied
- Gözde (10/5): A true hidden gem! - We absolutely loved our stay at Tante Piet! dear Sietske and her family are wonderfully warm and welcoming, and the houseboat is cozy, spotless, and full of charm – it instantly felt like home. A true hidden gem! Perfect for exploring the area not only by foot or bike but also super convenient: the city center is just 2 tram stops away. Highly recommend – other Turkish families, this is a must!”

- Irini (10/5): My friends and I had the most wonderful time, thank you - It is such a wonderfully equipped and cozy property, the owner is also fantastic Nothing at all

- Norman (10/5): Wonderful - a charming base for your Amsterdam explorations. - We had the most wonderful 4-day break at Sietske’s charming houseboat. We echo the positive views of other reviewers. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and as warm as toast! The underfloor heating is a really great benefit and the beds are huge with loads of quilts and pillows depending upon how you like it. Sierske herself is a charming, helpful and friendly host who cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. Transport connections into Central Amsterdam are quick, frequent and inexpensive. A 5 minute walk to the tram-stop will get you to Central Station in less than 10 minutes and from there, a host of other trams, buses or hired-bikes takes you on a splendid exploration of this beautiful city. It’s extremely good value for money and will leave you wanting to return for more. Excellent 👍 I cannot think of a single thing we found disappointing or disagreeable.
- Oleg (10/5): Relax time on houseboat - Houseboat - it was something new for us and we really enjoyed it.
- Heather76 (10/5): - Sietske was extremely welcoming and friendly. Plenty of little tips on arrival and only a text message away if there was any problems, of which there were none. Staying on the houseboat was a different, unusual home from home.
- Kerryanna (10/5): Gorgeous houseboat with warm welcoming host - Lovely cosy accommodation, clearly built with love. The host was so welcoming and helpful, thank you for improving our visit! Very near the tram stop for 26 to Centraal Station which was perfect for accessing the city and the Eurostar Nothing! Maybe larger towels would have been nice but that could be personal preference.
We didn't like leaving here, it felt so homely :)
- pasquale (10/5): - Very nice accommodation , the boat is fantastic.
Super cleanless and super care in every detail.
Sietzke is a perfect and kind host.
Recommended for anybody willing to taste a different staying perspective.

- Lisa (10/5): Fantastic house boat adventure thanks to a fantastic host and a beautiful, unique houseboat stay! - Everything!
Beautiful house boat, perfect for our family stay. Loved the 2 separate bedrooms and showers. Loved sitting out on deck and chilling!
Nice places nearby to eat and chill.
And Sietske is a fabulous host - before during and after our stay. amazing 🤩 We loved everything and would definitely return
- Rachel (9/5): Superb - Being on a boat
How comfi and clean it was. Nothing really, will def be back when visiting Amsterdam
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Our houseboat was a charming, unconventional and memorable way to enjoy Amsterdam. But what made it even more special was our host Sietske, who went out of her way to ensure we were well taken care of. She helped us make a booking at a super popular restaurant with a long waitlist, and when our son fell sick, she showed such concern and helped us find a tourist doctor. You will not find such warmth at
a hotel . Thanks Sietske for everything.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mairi (10/5): Exceptional - This was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in Amsterdam. Sietske is a really lovely host, super welcoming and friendly and gave us lots of local tips, all of which were great. The house boat is super cosy, has everything you need and in a fantastic location. It was also spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this place, so much nicer than staying at a hotel!
- Rolandas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donal (10/5): Exceptional - Great host.great location.great exprience.kids loved. So did the parents. Nothing ....could only recommend it!!!
- Angelo (10/5): I would definitely stay here again. An absolute delight! - The houseboat was amazing! Just as pictured. The host Sietske was absolutely amazing. She had a whole list of the places to go, the cheapest and best places to hire things. Sietske allowed us in early to drop our bags as we came off the night train. I would have definitely loved to stay there a bit longer and have time (and the weather) to enjoy the deck area up above. Loved it and have recommended it to all of my friends and family. Nothing really. It was awesome. Maybe a small cooking stovetop? But definitely easy to use the bbq and eating out so yum in Amsterdam.
- Robin (10/5): Excellent and Unique Stay in Amsterdam - We really enjoyed our stay here. The houseboat is very clean, spacious, and comfortable - it felt as if we were visiting a friend who really wanted us to have a nice time. It was not missing any amenities and you can take real showers (not "boat showers") and even drink the tap water since it's hooked up to city water. Good location - on a quiet street lined with other houseboats, but walkable to the central station (or there's a tram close by). It was fun to walk on the street and see houseboat life. Sietske was a warm and responsive host and put a lot of effort into making our time there nice. We would definitely stay here again!
- Ilana (10/5): Wonderful house boat in quiet part of the river. Perfect for families & couples - Gorgeous spacious and well located. We loved the stylish interior and the area the boat was in which is so quirky and v convenient for sights. Sietske was welcoming and the kitchen was equipped with tea coffee etc and some welcome treats! Nothing. It was perfect!
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arron (10/5): A perfect place for a long weekend stay in Amsterdam. - Charming, unique, surprisingly spacious and super location + a wonderful host
- Daniel (10/5): Cozy and charming houseboat - Cozy and charming houseboat.
The hostess is very receptive and has the Airbnb spirit and principles. She is interested in exchanging experiences and also providing information about places, food and culture.
We were in 4 (two couples). There is a room for each couple, with separate entrances, kitchens, refrigerators, bathrooms and showers for each one of them. One of the bedrooms, the smallest, has two single beds, which can easily be joined together for a double.
I strongly recommend it. We like and we would repeat it without hesitation. Perhaps a firmer pillow would be welcome, but that depends on each person's taste. The fact that it is not possible to properly close the curtains on the small windows or hide the light from the window/glass in the ceiling may bother some people.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, there was not anything we didn't like. Stunning boat lovely host. Just perfect
- Joanna (10/5): Very beautiful and unique experience in Amsterdam! - The houseboat was a beautiful and unique experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location is close to Centraal Station so it is very convenient. Our host was also extremely lovely, recommending things for us to do in Amsterdam and helping us carry our luggage in and out of the houseboat! A must try experience in Amsterdam.
- Frank (10/5): Comfortable houseboat, central location, quiet - Spacious, quiet and comfortable. Great service from host.
- Yvonne (9/5): Excellent, will come back if we can. - Nice cosy experience living on a houseboat, we enjoyed breakfast and evenings on the deck and was sad to leave. Just beside train tracks so you can hear the trains but didn’t affect our sleep.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jaclyn (10/5): By far the most special and unique stay in The Netherlands so far - First, our host was friendly and accommodating from the start! She advised us on parking, travel in and around city center, made sure we felt comfortable in every way.
My family of 4 rented 2 cabins, we had everything we needed, and it felt very special. Every nook and cranny was clean, information sheet was helpful, coffee supplies, refrigerator, and sweet touches like flowers and extra blankets and towels! Nothing, it was perfect.
- Aleksis (10/5): Great stay on board! - The boat is located very close to the center but still on a quiet street. Sietske is an amazing host and her place is beautiful. The rooms are all very nicely designed and clean. There is drinkable tap water and hot shower water. Great stay! The boat is located right next to train tracks so sometimes you hear the train. Didn't bother me but if you're a light sleeper then you might be bothered.
The main room has big ceiling windows without curtains so the room is impossible to keep dark. Once again, didn't bother me but you shouldn't plan on sleeping in.
- Frazer (10/5): A great way to experience Amsterdam - on the water in Houseboat Tante Piet! - We loved staying on Houseboat Tante Piet. We hadn't stayed on a boat before and were surprised how spacious it was. My partner and I had our own room with an ensuite, and my parents stayed in the main area which was like a small apartment with everything you need.
Sietske was a brilliant host - very friendly and made the arrival and check-in process easy for us. She knew everything about Amsterdam and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was ok and that we had everything we needed.
If you are looking for an authentic Amsterdam experience - skip the hotels and apartments and stay on the water in Houseboat Tante Piet :) Everything was perfect
- Mari (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful winter holiday in Amsterdam and Tante Piet! The facilities served well our family of two parents and two teenagers. The houseboat was very easily reachable with tram from the train station, where it was easy to come by train from the airport. We liked the spacious interior of the boat very much and were easily able to cook our own breakfast. WiFi was super fast! As a hint for fellow Pokemon Go trainers, you can reach four pokestops from within the boat :) Hostess Sietske was very friendly and helpful.
- Dushyanthan (10/5): A charming houseboat in a great location - A unique, fun and very comfortable stay. The boat is lovely, and in a convenient central location, but part of a peaceful little boating community. Everyone we met was friendly, and we enjoyed strolling to places as diverse as Mediamatic, Hanneke’s Boom and even the Sea Palace along the canalside paths, with beautiful views across the basin. The tram is just around the corner. Sietske was incredibly helpful, even building us a fire which the kids (well all of us) loved one evening. Great to sit on deck and watch the wildlife and passing boats. A wonderful place to stay.
- Mark (10/5): A charming, relaxing boat that remains close enough to the action of downtown Amsterdam - Set in a gorgeous, canal-side location, Houseboat Tante Piet is a relaxing haven, which is also close to the centre of Amsterdam. While staying on a boat has its own unique charm, the boat has also been rennovated beautifully, which made staying there an absolute pleasure. Highly recommended.
