- Tracy (10/5): - We loved the conscience of this hotel and 95% of the staff were incredible! Only issue was with a car for a night that ended up only being for a few hours! Staff went out of way to help fix and take care of issues- we blew the fuse and the dryer stopped working all fixed very quickly.

- Alistair (10/5): - I think we have stayed her before and will certainly do again. Location is excellent just metres from Wynyard station and minutes from circular quay. Plenty of eating opportunities close by including two just outside the front door.. Nice balcony as well. Pleasant staff. We didnt use the housekeeping service. No breakfast but plenty of coffee places and convenience stores around.

- Mauro (6/5): - We weren't informed that the renovations happening outside of our 2 windows. Being on the 9th floor they wete using cranes and lifts passing our windows. Yes we could close the curtains, but being informed would be nice. Lots of screeming from the street, which you have no control of. In general place was nice. Regarding cleaning i would recommend the cleaners to open every cabinet and draw. (Box of condoms let in one of the cabinets, and empty bottle in the rubbish bin)...

- Kit Man (10/5): - The room is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer, and a small kitchen with a normal size fridge. The location is very convenient in all respects, transportation to the airport, dining, shopping and sightseeing. Breakfast is provided in the nearby Amora Hotel. I certainly will book it again on my next visit.

- Margarita (6/5): - Pleasant enough place to stay but on arrival there was no soap, no shower gel and had to ask a couple of times for these to be supplied. Then the tea was not restocked - perhaps little niggles but at the prices we were paying I don’t think we should have had to ask.
- Jordyn (6/5): - When I got there I found out the pool was closed- it would be very easy to let guests know this in advance as I would have booked somewhere else. Then they placed me in a room with scaffolding completely covering the balcony and there was a garbage bag under the bed. I called and complained about my room and they moved me (thank god) to a better room with a clear balcony. However, the staff that informed me that they felt bad for the other patrons since they are fully booked… And someone else will get my room with the obstructed balcony. That room should be closed… I’m sure you make enough money with the prices you are charging. And again, no communication about this which to me is unacceptable. I would have absolutely stayed somewhere else if I would not have lost the entire cost of my stay. All could be avoided by an email.

The windows were dreadful for a city centre hotel - sounded like they were fully open when closed. Wi-Fi was down, and the pool and spa was closed when we arrived, but no one bothered to let us know. We left after one night.

August - December no access guests should be notified about the inconvenience specifically as I stayed on the weekend of the Sydney Marathon. You pay a lot of money for a great hotel and for the hotel not to provide these services was really disappointing and frustrating.

- Adelaida (4/5): - You sent me an email about this hotel reservation indicating they will be under construction and repairing things and for that reason the Pool and the hot tub will be close. I decided to cancel but you sent me another message when you mentioned that the construction and repairing it was postponed for later in September. The thing is when I asked in the front desk about the hot tub they told me that those facilities were close due the work at that moment. I showed her the E mail you sent me that indicated otherwise and she told me how sorry she was for what it was happening and she took a picture y said she would report it the situation to the manager. Never he contacted us. The worst it was the Saturday 29th when we came back for the all day excursion and we entered to our room we found a open condom on the nightstand next to our bed. Immediately I went to reception desk and letting know what we found …that it was inaceptable…who was in our room having sex during we were out…? The guy it was speechless…he told me the only thing he can do at the moment is given us a new clean room and breakfast free and he will going to inform the manager and for sure he will be contact us, never happened even I asked for him on Monday, he just told the receptionist, he was working on it, This situation it is Unbelievable never happened a such a thing to us in any hotel and we are travelers, let’s ASAP what you are going to do or we are going to proceed a legal case.
- Clare (6/5): Great location and size but needs updating. - Great location and good size / layout for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. However the furniture and bathrooms need updating and the noisy windows replacing although I understand the windows are being replaced imminently.
- ?? (6/5): - They cleaned our room everyday, but some parts were remained untidy. They didn't vacuum carpets and my husband who has allergy with house dust often struggled with sneezing. The wifi connection wasn't stable. We couldn't use the internet the day before our departure, which made us in trouble. One of three elevators wasn't in good condition. At our departure it stopped suddenly when we were riding inside with our luggage, and stayed unmoved for a couple of minutes. Fortunately we could arrive in time at the station and the airport, but with this experience we got worse impression to the hotel.

- Leanne (6/5): - If you can look past the cracked sink, parts falling off walls and strange water leaks then you can enjoy it. Place hasn’t been updated since Bob Hawke was PM. Such a shame ‘cause it’s a great size apartment, in a good location and overall, comfortable. If the owners didn’t use every cheap fix to keep it functioning then it might look like someone cared. Overall, it’s just tired and sad. Am sure the hotel chain has already been given this feedback many times.
- Pauline (6/5): Could do better - There is nowhere to park while you check in.. I expected a drive through at the fro t of hotel, but no.. nowhere. Parking is around the other side of the block and a key is needed to get in. I made a 1 night booking and then decided (some weeks ago) to stay 2 nights so made another 1 n booking online and sent an email asking to keep bookings together in same room. I reminded staff on check in but still got a phone call telling me I needed to check out. Then had to muck around getting keys extended etc (which shows she definitely didn’t listen to me on checkin or see notes) We had breakfast booked as part of package but didn’t realise it was at a totally different hotel which required 3 traffic lights to wait for to walk there each way. We were not given breakfast vouchers or explained this but when I asked, was told to come each morning and get a voucher. This then meant lining up at reception each morning.. cannot see why they could not be given on check in. The toilet is behind the bathroom door and ok for use with the door closed but dangerous for your feet if you are on it and someone else enters bathroom. I had a bath, only to realise that there was no soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner etc down there and could not bring from shower as they are fixed. Only 4 small milk portions in fridge.. you need 2 to have one coffee, so that was only one cup each. Staff seem flustered and because of this did not come off as friendly or welcoming. Good location for our appointment.

- Keith (8/5): - The washer and dryer in the room were essential for our family trip mid week. The load sizes are European and cycles are longer than US models, but they did a great job and were relatively quiet. We were easy walking distance to the quay for activities and dining. The booked breakfast option is associated with the sister hotel in the next block, which worked out great. There is also a kitchenette and a family room with separate parent bedroom which we liked very much. The front desk staff are not as knowledge as with higher end hotels. We had to ask for enough towels and toilet paper to serve the family as it was only stocked for 2. They did provide the needed extra bed and there is a hideaway in the couch for sleeping. We would stay again for the convenience and quality.

- HAMID (10/5): Overall at good experience. - The rooms could have been cleaned sooner in the day. We would get back at 4:30-5 and the room still had not been cleaned. Overall it was a good experience. Would stay again.
- Alison (8/5): - Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Arrived late so had no dinner not an area i would wander on my own as a 70 yo female at night to get dinner. Staff friendly, plenty of places to eat during the day, close to wynyard station which was perfect. Will stay again.
- Paula (10/5): - We had a great one bedroom apartment overlooking to city end of the Harbour Bridge and located close to the Rocks. Lots of activities well within walking distance and Wynyard Station and supermarkets within a block down York Street. The apartment itself was well appointment, comfortable and felt like home.
- Julie (8/5): - Unfortunately there was flooding in the 2 bedroom apartment I had booked with some friends, so we had to be moved to two one bedroom apartments. It was disappointing but the hotel offered us the mini bar which was very gracious of them.

- Miriam (10/5): - Can't fault my stay at the York. Room was clean with no smells, well set up with kitchen and laundry, comfy bed, staff very friendly and helpful - nothing was a problem. The highlight was a pool with palm trees in the middle of the city. Would stay here again no doubt.

- Angela (8/5): - Good property in an excellent location. Be aware that it is loud overnight in terms of city traffic, car horns, and general public noise/shouting. Poor communication from front desk staff around parking arrangements in carpark led to a lot of wasted time and unnecessary stress. Also we were unable to login to the wifi and troubleshooting from calling reception was unsuccessful. Also note they charge an extra $100 “deposit”, which is not actually refunded!
- MEI LING ERIN (8/5): - A sauna and a massage pool are good for travellers to relax their minds and bodies. Our two-room suite is spacious and big enough for three of us. The washing machine and dryer are perfect for our long trip. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. On arrival, we found and reported that the microwave didn't work, and the staff replaced it with a new one the next day. ^^

- Robert (8/5): - Location was good and was a good size apartment. Bed was in bad shape which is the most important thing I want in a stay. The main areas you’d use were clean, shower etc but overall could improve in that area. Based on location and size it was value for money and I’ve booked again but hoping I get a better bed next time.
- Margaret (10/5): Great location ,Good facilities. - The York by Swiss Belhotel is in a good location, 1 block from Wynyard train station.It is a 10 minute walk to The Rocks Market, The Harbour Bridge and The Opera House.A 10 minute walk in the other direction to Pitt St Mall.We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, large bathroom and a washing machine and drier.There is a pool,sun loungers,outdoor spa and a gym.
- Elissa (10/5): - The York was fantastic. Big spacious apartment. Location is perfect for getting around to all parts of the city. Staff were friendly. Parking was so convenient with access directly to our floor so we didn’t need to carry our luggage everywhere. Pool area was lovely. Hotel was so clean. Loved the balcony to sit on and unwind. Highly recommend The York
- Andrew (6/5): - The views were fabulous from both balconies of this 25th floor 3-bed suite. Self-contained kitchen had some utensils but not a lot. Crockery etc was insufficient for a 5 person family. All bedrooms were generous and easy to live in. The lounge and dining areas were both spacious and well set up. Three internal doors had the door knobs broken off the doors and hanging loose which was annoying. Easy walk to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, CBD, The Rocks - all 10 to 15 minutes away maximum on foot. Having to go to a next door hotel for breakfast was unexpected but the buffet at Amora Hotel was 4-star and the kids filled up every morning. Overall the York was very good, just let down by some annoying issues of maintenance and kitchen provisions which can both be quickly and easily addressed

- Mary Hazel (4/5): - The rating of this property is misleading. I would rate this property as 2.5 to 3 Stars, the most and NOT 4.5 Stars as shown online, due to cleanliness. Our room was dusty. Didn't have the supplies (I had to ask the front desk). The comforter provided was stained and worn out. I requested a new blanket instead. But the location is really good. It is walking distance to everything.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, beware could have noise pollution - Location is very convenient, apartment very spacious. We unfortunately had Saturday 7am-9am construction work, sounded like the jack hammer was right out our front door for over 2hrs. Beware if construction may be happening during your stay. We had no notice or notification of possible noise pollution. Windows are older style so even traffic noise travels

We really liked it because it's an apartment and one can cook (if one wants to!), do laundry etc. We only used the kitchen for tea and coffee. However, I have to say the utensils, silverware, crockery provide is bare minimum! We were only two people yet we had to wash the cups/mugs/spoons etc. every time. If you're more people, beware. Some members of the staff were very helpful; others didn't seem to know much about the area; could be new employees. Overall, I would recommend this place - we may use it again if we visit Sydney!

Great location for exploring central sights and access to circular quays. Easy to get to from airport. We had a problem with the aircon which was “fixed” but still made a noise during the night.

- Leaha (8/5): - The 2 bdrm apartment was perfect for our needs and it was very spacious. The washer/dryer is a combo machine and doesn't work great, but eventually did what we needed. Not far to Sydney Harbour, so great location

- Ashley (8/5): - The location was great, near the public transportation and main areas like Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge. We walked to all of those and it was about a 10 min walk. The amenities were great at the hotel. We had a 3 bedroom. The views were great. We had a kitchen and washer & dryer which was super nice. I didn’t know we had that or I would have packed less clothes. They provided the laundry soap too. It was clean. My only complaint was the carpet is older and worn and the kitchen cabinets are older and are harder to open and close. Those could use a remodel but the bathrooms were updated nicely. It was cozy and worked perfectly for our family of 5. Everyone had their own space to spread out. The 2 balconies were great. The pool was cold but the hot tub and dry sauna were nice. We used those daily. I would stay here again.
