• Mohammadreza (2/5): - I don’t like any more time going there because I reserved private bathroom but when I wanted check in room,manager said we rented room and we are sold out!??and they never clean my room and didn’t cheng it even one time? This property has to partition and different kitchen and different Holloway's but they lucked on of The entrance door and just everyone can use One entrance door!!!It was so hard for walking around the house and getting to room!I asked why you closed the separate door manager said for safety!but they made Holloway for another room for rent make more money!!! They didn’t comfortable for guests! They are doing as buss for guests .

• Brooke (10/5): - This place is a hostel, clean and comfortable. But you will be sleeping in bunk beds and sharing rooms. The kitchen has a shared fridge, microwave, and you get some breakfast and coffee in the mornings. I swam in the pool everyday. It was cleaned while i was there. Staff was great. Don’t stay here if you are fancy. Go to a hotel.
• MAC (6/5): - I remember booking a private room but was placed in a dormitory. Although the entire property was very clean I suffered being constantly cold as doors and windows were open 24 hours. We weren’t given enough towels but after asking the next day we got them as well as more blankets. No soap at the bathroom sink was a big inconvenience. Nonetheless because of the great price and friendly staff I’d go back.

• Eric (10/5): A little privacy and comfortable! - To my surprise the hostel was in a nice neighborhood with everything you can think of in 5 minute walking distance. The bed area was clean and comfy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in LA and need a place that’s friendly and cozy.
• Marsha (2/5): Attacked By Bed Bugs!! This Is A Hostel/Dormitory! - Do NOT stay here and the property is misleading. It's a hostel/dormitory!!! Based on the photos, they do not make this obvious. My mother and I shared a double bed with other people who were nice, but this was not what we expected. The location is convenient and that's it. There's some people who live there in exchange for free housing for cleaning. They should live in one area together. I'm totally going to report this property to the Department of Health. I got severely attacked by bed bugs on the 2nd night and saw welts all over me. I doubt the bedding was washed properly since the comforter smelled odd. Thankfully, my mother was paranoid and only her feet were bitten. Both of us went to the ER (emergency room) to get treated for the bites to make sure they were not something else. Don't waste your money. They would not issue me a refund. The manager's name is Jordan. Hotels.com gave me a $75 voucher for the inconvenience since I'm a Gold Member. I told Hotels.com to investigate this property for fraudulent advertising.
• Ekaterina (4/5): Hostel - It’s a hostel! Very expansive!!!! No gender separation in that place. $70 per night x 6 beds. You do the math. My gf and I accidentally booked this place just by photos (our bad we were in a rush of going offline on the road) - where we saw regular separate room with two beds. When we checked in - it was a hostel with no upgrade to separate room. As a female, if you are ready to spend nights with older man in the same place - it’s probably ok. We didn’t stay. Booked motel down the road for the same price. No refund as well.

We had to share the ONLY towel that was given to us. Manager did not pick up my calls when I tried to ask for an upgrade. I booked 3 month in advance one private room for 2 night for which I was charged 127 USD. Either because separate rooms are cross-listed, or for either reason, we ended up slipping in a twin size (bunker) bed in a dorm, shared with 2 other guys. WORTH NOT EVEN $20 A NIGHT. BOOK ELSEWHERE !!

• JACKY (2/5): - Bonjour, Comme convenu nous sommes rendu à l’adresse de notre hébergement que nous avions réservé et payé sur votre site , à notre arrivée à Los Angeles .Le choc fut grand à 22h quand le gardien de la maison nous a montré là où nous allons dormir;un caisson en bois avec un matelas installé sur des lattes de bois rudimentaires.une salle de bain rudimentaire pour une dizaine de résidents.La photo présentatrice du lieu avec une vue de la maison et une piscine est un attrape pigeon(piscine insalubre).Au vue de l’heure où il était nous avons dormi dans ce lieu de fortune et le lendemain nous avons demandé à parler au gérant lequel à dénier venir au bout de 2heures d’attente.l’echange c’est très mal passé,refusant toute negotiation et nous insultant sur notre mauvais anglais pour finir par nous mettre à la porte de sa maison alors que nous avions réservé 6 nuits du jeudi 17 oct au mardi 22 oct. Nous avons été contraints de louer dans un autre hôtel.

I messaged the hotel and told them my flight will be late but by the time I picked up the car rental it was already after 11 pm and the hotel did not answer the phone to help me with the poor mapping directions so I had to find another place, which was very hard so many no vacancy.

• Randolph (2/5): Woke up covered with the worst bug bites ever - I was delighted with this overcrowded but friendly hostel when I left early the next morning, unaware that my body was covered with the worst collection of bug bites I have ever experienced in 61 years of living. It was probably some enormous, nasty spider, dunno, but three days later the welts are still painful, itchy, and everywhere. Not surprising, really - there are simply too many people in the house.

When I got there with my wife they gave us a room full of bunk beds and 2 other people in there. I called the manager and he told me I had booked a “shared room” when I clearly booked something different on the website. This hotel is a scam. There was no ac the room was completely dark and it felt really creepy. We didn’t stay at all we left and found something else. Do not book this place all they do is take your money

• David (2/5): Wonderful if you eat bed bugs. - I could not stay there. There was no air conditioning in a 100degree heat. They had only tiny mats on the floor for beds and only a curtain around the mat for privacy. The mat was covered with Bed Bugs. Please report this information to the Los Angeles Building and Safety immediatley.

• Nokuthula (2/5): Worst booking experience - Worst booking experience ever on this App. I booked 1room for 2 people, but ended up sleeping in a Domitory with 8 other people mixed genders. I was told that what I booked despite sending proof and calling customer service. No one helped. I won't recommend this to anyone who wants privacy, comfort and peace. The place is Central so the location is perfect if that's what you looking for.

We went through a dining room, across a patio, around the back of the building entered through a kitchen, up STEEP stairs, circled around past several bedrooms to a SMALL corner bedroom with nothing but two beds. No private bath!!! The room faced another street a half block from the entrance. It bore no resemblance to the online description.

When I arrived I was given a bunk bed in a share dorm with 6 other beds and one bathroom. The host Alexandra was helpful and pleasant, the pool is clean and the garden area is a nice place to relax. The location is ok as there are some major bus routes nearby to Santa Monica and Sunset Strip. If you don't mind sleeping in a room with strangers and want somewhere cheap, convenient and relaxing this could be for you.

I tried to call multiple times on multiple occasions and same story! I finally called Expedia for help and the first guy was able to get a hold of the lady in charge of the listing. After a half an hour!!!!!! I’m pretty sure through an email or secondary number! She told him to have me keep trying the previous number if been trying for two days! I then again tried calling multiple times within a few hours after that. NO ANSWER!!! Finally called Expedia again, the second guy couldn’t get a hold of her! Horrible customer service! I didn’t feel comfortable driving two hours by myself, and not have a place to stay! I had couple questions about the property as well, but no answer. I don’t recommend this place.

They didn’t advertise that they had both male and female dorms but had me booked in the male dorm with 7 men with me being the only female. When the showed me the female dorm it was one room with two bunk beds which was find, but only had the top beds avail and Me in a leg brace and i had requested special amenities. They didnt want to refund my money, had to fight for days and expedia finally refunded my money. Straight crooks and owner look like a drug user

Keep in mind this is a HOUSE with ROOMS for short stay rental which means you’d have to share the space (including restroom, shower, kitchen, etc) with other guests (did I mention noisy complicated guests?). But, if if you are running your errands during the day and only come back for a shower and to rest then I guess for the price it’s Ok.

• Rose (2/5): - I stayed in this place for 2 nights, couldn’t be more disappointed. 1. It’s not private at all. it is a small room with SHARED bathroom!! I feel so deceived. And it is not a guest house, it’s a in-law room in a single family house. We had to go through lots of stairs and turns to the back of the house to get in. 2. When we arrive, the bathroom sink was clogged, with water leaked all over bathroom. Which was dangerously slippery at night, owner told me he couldn’t fix it until tomorrow. There is a non functioning jet tub in the bathroom. 3. The entire house is extremely noisy. It’s at the corner of 2 major streets. The rooms are without AC, so I couldn’t close the windows at night, and I literally feel like sleeping next to a freeway. Even the bathroom is so noisy you can hear lots of cars driving by constantly. The second day in the morning the next door neighbor started to mow the lawn at 8AM, for a whole hour... and then you hear the noise of traffic... horrible!! Overall, the house is very dated, the location is excellent with ample street parking. But I really couldn’t recommend it for anyone unless you want to pay over $100 just for a place for crush.
