Guest Reviews
- Peng Lam (9/5): Great Stay in Dubrovnik - The room is excellent. We can see the Walls of Dubrovnik from the room's window. Just two minutes to walk over. Have to climb up the stairs to the main entrance, with large luggage will be an effort. And up another floor to the room.

- amarjit (8/5): Close by to everything - Close bye to pile gate in Dubrovnik Everything was good
- VITTORIA IMMACOLATA (10/5): - Bellissima vista.... Ubicazione strategica....

- edward f (9/5): - Location, location, location.
- Keith (10/5): Very comfortable and delightful views from the property of the walls and water. Host very friendly and accommodating. - The position being so close to the city walls. Very central.

A fuir.
- MIWAKO (8/5): Thank you! - Best location‼️
- Sadye (9/5): -
- LYNN (10/5): Great location - Great location and very nice staff Our room was pretty small and we didn’t get the windows toward the sea which we had anticipated
- Kaye (10/5): - An amazing apartment with views over Old Town. The host, Tea, was very helpful and responsive to messages. We loved our stay there.
- Greg (10/5): - Great location, helpful and accommodating host. Highly recommend
- Marion (8/5): Great location and a good room. - Great location and comfortable bed but the sheet was not big enough for two people. We played tug-of-war most night. The check in process did not work. We arrived late 10:30 pm and tried to message the host numerous times and they did not respond.
Stood outside a locked door in the dark. We called and thankfully reached someone after our 4th try.
Make sure you get the check in instructions.
- Larry Van de (10/5): - Excellent location and great view
- Michael (10/5): - View of the water and the old city. Really close to everything so we were able to take a break mid day and then head back out.
- Carissa (10/5): - The location is great. There are some stairs to get to the property and then to the rooms but it is not excessive. Good air conditioning and quiet when you shut the windows. Feels safe but also very convenient location.
- Kim (10/5): - Beautiful apartment right outside Old Town. And, it’s not too many steps to climb to the property! Excellent communication to find the location.
- Isabella (10/5): Perfect - Couldn’t ask for a better location, the property was right outside the entrance into the old town. Very clean room with beautiful decoration and view over the ocean. Highly recommend staying here. Host was also very friendly.
- Ethan Thomas (10/5): - Nice, clean rooms. So close to the old town, you're right by Pile Gate. Great view of the town from the room too. Host was super helpful on arrival and understanding of our late flight in. Highly reccomend!
- Harriet (9/5): -
- Oldřich (9/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): - Tea is so welcoming and sweet. She gave us lots of attention and the room couldn’t be more conveniently located. A+++
- Jessica (10/5): - Perfect location in a beautiful apartment!
- Krzysztof Kuciapa (10/5): - Mega położony apartament. Bardzo miła Pani gospodarz. Miasto fantastyczne.
- Carina (6/5): - The location was perfect. And it’s probably only 15 steps to the property. It’s a family run establishment that has all the basics covered. Would definitely stay again.
- Neil (8/5): Short stay before boat trip - Lovely stay, room clean and has what you need for a short stay. Bathroom very good. Great location
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Invisible (7/5): Good -
- Laurie (6/5): - The location was great. The room and furnishings were very basic. The "terrace" and "garden" were dirty, and unwelcoming. There was a big piece of broken metal left out there and old deflated balloons lying around.
- Sebastian (10/5): Perfect stay! - The room was great, very clean, comfortable and the location was perfect. Just in front of Pile gate. Could not ask for more. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): - The location is the real highlight of this property. Don't actually think there is a residence closer to the Pile gate, the main gate into the old town. All the buses stop at this gate. Room is very nice - clean and functional and everything you need for a few days. Even the small sewing kit you get in hotels that was on the landing was a nice touch when my bag broke and we had to repair it! View from the windows in the triple room unbeatable. There IS noise from the road and the old town (cleaning, church bells) overnight and early hours due to nature of old buildings and fully opening windows and shutters but this is mild and wouldn't actually wake you if already asleep and to be honest I wouldn't change that for the ability to fully open the windows and enjoy the climate and see that view for anything!! Would definitely stay here on my next trip back to Dubrovnik.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Very nice, clean and spacious room. Good view of the old town. Loved the proximity to the walled town..2min walk to pile gate. Close proximity to supermarket. Highly recommend this place!
- Irene (5/5): Passable - The location is fantastic. Just outside the old town, very convenient. The person who open the door for us was not friendly and when we asked her to assist us with luguages to the room as there were quite a number of steps, she is not very willing and said she can only assist. both me and my friend is almost 70yrs old. The hot water has a limit in the volume, with 2 person showering immediately after one and other, the second person will face a possibility of cold water, which happen to me.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - The staff …. Tea was exceptional. The location was perfect. No complaints at all. We truly enjoyed our time there. Nothing
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (10/5): For the price and location, you just can't beat it - Perfect location just outside the old town, fantastic price and lovely owner
- Arnab (8/5): - Good location and great host
- Lincoln (9/5): Could not think of a better place to stay in Dubrovnik. - Clean, spacious and bright. Peacefully located outside the confines of the old city but only a minute to the Pile Gate. Buses and taxis are just down the steps. View of Dubrovnik and fortress and the sea were spectacular to wake to. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Hilton Hotel close-by for a very good value dinner or coffee. Nothing major. Steps outside are steep. Actual apartment is hard to find - around the back of the property and up some stairs.
- Dragana (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful place to stay with a great view, very close to the Old city and beaches. The family owning the apartments was so lovely and pleasant.
Nicely equipped apartment with a clean and spacious bathroom. Strongly recommended!
- Melisa (10/5): Amazing view and location - Our favorite was the view. It was amazing! Super close to old town and nice restaurants. The host was super nice and helpful. Nothing!
- Nova (10/5): Lovely room in amazing location - We loved our stay. Book the sea view room if you can. Lovely view. Very comfy king bed with high ceilings. Excellent location right next to old town gates. Great value and friendly host.
- Ying (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (6/5): Fine for a short stay. - Well situated, just outside the wall. There was a kettle and a fridge. The room was fairly small with few amenities. The hot water didn’t last long enough for a short-haired small person to shower. A second person would have to wait an hour to shower.
- Alexander (10/5): Beautiful. - Across street from Old Town. Charming view, charming owner. Host should warn about the 50 or so steps luggage has to be hauled from street. Not a good fit for the less fit.
- Kalyani (10/5): Great location! - Great location, super responsive host - perfect, simple room for a solo traveller. Host was really helpful and made my stay excellent. Will definitely return!
- Caline (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (8/5): Lright and airy room with a beautiful view. - The glorious view (city walls and the sea) and the light and airy room. A great location, minutes from the Pile gate. A tranquil (shared) terrace at your disposal. Crockery and cutlery for those who wanted to snack on the property. Ability to store luggage on terrace after checkout. The pillows (a little lumpy), and the bathroom lighting (not bright enough). Would be nice to have a more generous selection of teas and coffee sachets - there were only 2 of each.
- Miriam (10/5): - Tea was more that helpful and went out of her way to accommodate us. We also enjoyed chatting with her.The room was clean and spacious. The public parking by the hotel was expensive but were given option to a cheaper site further away.
- Sarah (9/5): Highly recomend if you want to be in the heart of the action. - Location is great, right near one of the gates to the Walls of Dubrovnik plus restaurants and shops. Great views. Comfortable and spacious room. Host was nice, friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. Was a little bit noisy as very close to a restaurant but it may have been becasue we left the windows open for the breeze. It really was not a problem as restaurants do not stay open late.
- Garyspec (9/5): New experience - ticked the box but wouldn't go back - ever!!! - Location to Old Town and Pile Gate was superb.. Host & house fantastic - really looked after us during the whole stay - the house is around 200 years old and is so welcoming.. all necessary amenities in room - would want to stay here again if we ever did return to Dubrovnik ,,,, however, just for your info which might be helpful, you would/could have difficulty if you have any walking impediments as the property is up several flights of steps to reach the outer gate, and then once inside the property you have another two flights of stairs to reach your room .. OK going down but a different story on the way back up from the town or shops/restaurants below ... apart from that - Dubrovnik old town isn't great for anyone with walking difficulties as its mainly hilly with lots of steps up n down .. no wheel chair access either anywhere that we could see... Doesn't cater for anyone with walking difficulty or disability ... not user friendly anywhere. and THEY DON'T MENTION THIS ANYWHERE IN ANY TOURIST BROCHURE !!! Be warned ....
Also - make sure you have plenty of money and happy and prepared to spend it - Everything is very expensive .. i.e. To walk around the old town walls is £35.00 per person.. Game of Thrones is thrashed to death in 90% of the shops and a cheap Chinese Tee shirt with a GoT logo/design on costs between 30 to 40 euros... you can buy same on internet for £8. ... Food.. well you have to eat .. but again be prepared to pay BIG BUCKS for it no matter what you buy.. a small Americano coffee £5.. a small plain croissant 2 euro... we spent an absolute fortune on necessities.. and only there a week... bottom line is .. if you want to go there - bring plenty of money which ever way you look at it... 😁
- Sharon (7/5): Good - Great location just outside of the main entrance and reasonably quiet considering the location It was a little small for 3 people
Cups weren't washed
- Giffin (10/5): Perfect for a couple. - The location is great. The facilities are as described.
- Evandro (8/5): Very good - great location
- David (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at this property. Owner was friendly and accommodating, and the location was much better than staying within the city walls. Highly recommend!
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (9/5): Old world charm, fantastic location and a view! - Hosts were a bit hard to get a hold of for the key drop off, but they were so nice and helpful overall. The property is beautiful and the room is charming. No kitchen but a small fridge. The shower was great. Location was perfect for us, it was great to be right outside the gate. The room is small, but that is a minor issue. It's beautiful.
- Johan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stacy (10/5): A fabulous stay for my family of 5. Rooms were clean and comfortable and allowed us easy access to everything we wanted - Location was superb!
- Xiaowenxing (9/5): I enjoyed my stay. - The location is perfect! We can walk to the old town many times a day as we wish. And it’s close to everywhere we want to be. The host is really nice ☺️ Nothing.
- Lucy (10/5): Sadly delays cut stay short - Great location, clean spacious room All good
- Carol (10/5): Great location outside Pile Gate - The location outside Pile Gate was easy for old town. Easy to take a swim just outside the gate as well as get breakfast nearby. We enjoyed staying just outside the walls of the city. We were able to enjoy the terrace, the kittens (Julian and Kiera), and chats with Lepa (the home owner).
- Emma (10/5): Lovely!!! - Lovely!! Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Dubrovnik.
- Elina (8/5): - Stayed in the triple room. Good proper double bed, super clean, airconditoning works. Small fridge & kettle. Great location next to old town. As it is an old building, soundproofing is not very good and the area is noisy during night.
- Sean (10/5): We will definitely come back again and can’t wait to see how they grow into whatthey envision! - Everything!! Such a pleasure to arrive after long travels and be welcomed by the most beautiful room, with a mural, state of the art furniture, a wonderful large bathroom with great water pressure! The effort they have put into making it incredibly comfortable for their guests is evident. The only thing is it’s on a very busy street, but when you close the windows, you can’t hear a thing, and the ambient temperature was perfect.
- Sharon (9/5): Our stay in Dubrovnik was made wonderful by the location of this apartment. - The location was truly excellent. We were mere minutes- 2 minutes from Pile Gate. The view of the Dubrovnik City Walls and the sea made for the most memorable of stays.
Older people would find difficulty in carrying bags up the stairs. The stairs were challenging with suitcases.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good -
- Margaretha (10/5): Wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending House Posat to anyone. - Large, airy room with a beatiful view of the town wall, the sea and the Pile gate. Gorgeous bathroom. The location is perfect with only a 2 minute walk to the gate and the central area where the taxis and buses are. The price does reflect the convenient location but, not being able to walk long distances and climb many steep steps, I would have paid a lot more in taxi fares from a less central area so I was happy with the cost of the room. Thea, the owner, was very pleasant and welcoming. Nothing.
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing view & location!! Lovely host.. thank you Taya! - What an amazing room!! We loved the comfort, cleanliness and such welcoming hosts!! But most of all the location and that view of the city walls, old town and the ocean!!! It’s amazing!! I spent many hours just sitting at the window, shutters open watching the world go by!! Best of all, an easy set of steps to get to the door!!!
- Nevila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haddon (10/5): One of our favorite stays in any city! Can't wait to return! - The location is exceptional. We love the fact that you can sit up in the king sized bed and see both the city walls and the sea, out the front window. The WiFi is fast, and we were able to do a few Zoom conferences with colleagues in the USA without any glitches. There are ethernet plugs in the room for wired internet as well. A fantastic place for digital nomads to get (further) away! The shower is fantastic. We had more than enough hot water to get clean, but would have loved to linger in it a bit more just because it's so nice.
- David (10/5): Very good stay at Rooms Posat. I can highly recommend it. - The location is superb, just outside the city walls. Clean, comfortable and everyone is very friendly. The only problem for some people may be the number of steps to the property.
- ANGELA (6/5): - Too many steps to navigate to the rooms. Not suited to seniors or travellers with mobility issues, carry your own luggage the rooms.
- Narinchai (9/5): Superb -
- Carole (10/5): - Just what we wanted - very near the centre and ideal for the two of us.
- Randall (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect! I arrived a little early, but was able to wait on terrace for a brief period to receive the key. Bed was comfortable and amenities were good. Staff was very helpful with travel suggestions and allowed me to store bag for a few hours before my flight.
- Mary (10/5): - The property had a terrace which was available to guests and the owner showed us her gardens which were wonderful!
- Margarita (10/5): - Excellent location.
- Amie (9/5): Great location, comfortable stay - The location was a 2 minute walk to the Pile Gate. Our window looked onto the Pile Gate and we could people watch from there. The room had very high ceilings, a large bathroom/shower, little refrigerator and electric teapot. The street noise was tolerable, and the guitar music coming from inside the old town was wonderful. There are about 20 steps to climb from the street level. Not terrible, but it's something to consider with heavy luggage. We overlooked which door to stop at and climbed to the top of a long staircase with heavy luggage in very hot weather. Our fault, but you've been warned.
- Craig (8/5): - A great apartment very close to the old town (50 metres). Bed was comfortable, lots of amenities, hosts were terrific, however the aircon was not up to the job and took quite a while to cool the room down. Besides that, it was a great room and excellent location.
- Goran (10/5): great getaway spot - location cant be beaten and the vibe of the place is on point, clean and warm minor detail - fridge could be set on lower temperature
- John (8/5): Quality single room in a centrally located apartment building. - Davide the host was very helpful.
- Sheila (8/5): Incredible location but up steps. All you need in basic room. - Location location location right outside old city at pile gate. Helpful and thoughtful owners. Nice basic room. Lots of Steps up to property - no street in front.
- Emilia_costa (10/5): Exceptional - It is exactly as the picture. Beautiful view and the hostess super nice.
- Harvey (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (8/5): - The hotel was ideally located and authentically charming with high ceilings, large shutter windows and comfortably furnished.
- Dali (10/5): - We really enjoy our stay at Rooms Pasta. Everything is meeting or exceeding our expectations! Highly recommend this place for anyone to explore Dubrovnik for extended stay!
- David (10/5): - Teriffic stay in a lovely authentic old town building.
- Thomas (10/5): - A very nice location just outside the Pile Gate. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with refrigerator and kettle with coffee and tea. No elevator so there are a few stairs, but worth it. Host very helpful and friendly.
